Vue agréable de la mer. Plat correct. Déçu par les desserts: crêpe à la fraise... Crêpe industrielle chantilly fade et pas faite maison, glace vanille pas top (et sur le menu y est marqué glace, qd on demande le parfum, c'est comme si c'était une évidence que c'était vanille !) il y avait que la sauce et les fraises de bons ! Autre dessert, banane Split.... Glace choco et vanille sans goût .. Idem pr la chantilly ! Comme bcp de resto portugais, ils mettent le pain sans demander alors qu'il est payant ! Attention ! Et le aurevoir... Connaissent pas.... Je ne le recommande pas...

Goed restaurant, waarbij ook de prijs goed (groots) genoemd mag worden. Niet in verhouding wat er omheen aangeboden wordt. Maar eten is prima!

The service at this restaurant is of a great standard, and the food served was delicious. The staff are friendly and seem to be happy to work at the restaurant. The only downside to this wonderful restaurant is the arrangement of seating; I was sat facing the sun at around 7pm and it was blinding. There were no other tables because the restaurant was full. To improve, they should simply rotate the table so that it overlooks the sea, making the experience more pleasurable and less irritating.

My husband Patrick and I had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the Clipper, Manuel, outside his restaurant one morning. It was his friendly demeanour that convinced us to come back the next evening for an excellent dinner.
From appetizer to dessert, all was beautifully prepared and first rate.
Just a side note:
I had the mackerel and didn’t realize at the time of ordering, that I was getting 2 fish with head, tail and bones. So I proceeded to cut and debone them ( A lot of bones! A lot of work.)
Then I saw someone ask the waiter to do their deboning ( it was expertly done of course!) So note that, if you get the mackerel, —which was delicious anyway.
The meal lasted a couple of hours, as we did it the European way, eating and drinking slowly.
It was relaxing and wonderful!
We highly recommend The Clipper if you’re in no rush and enjoy a full complement of courses.
Bravo, Manuel— no wonder you have been in business for so many years!

Det var okay. Jeg bestilte hvidløgsbrød, hvor det var en meget kedelig stykke brød som var købt ved den nærmeste supermarked. Havaborren var rigtig stegt men ikke helt frisk.

Un service déplorable, pas aimable, surtout en pleine saison. Erreur dans la réservation de table pour commencer, on a été obligé de renvoyer 3 fois un verre pour avoir le cocktail demandé. Ils n'avaient pas mis d'alcool dans les premiers cocktails. Une carte à rallonge, des prix élevés car en bord de mer, pour se retrouver avec des légumes et des champignons congelés du supermarché. Piège à touriste à éviter

The service was excellent when we arrived. We had a guy explain everything, and being a little funny too!
Plenty of choice for food, and the menu was in English.
We sat outside and had plenty of comfort, even when other are people nearby.
The food itself was a little on the expensive side, but it was good, so definitely worth it!

Preços de bom restaurante, mas valem a pena. Garçons muito atenciosos, comida deliciosa. O bacalhau grelhado fez minha esposa aprender a gostar de bacalhau depois de inúmeras tentativas! O vinho da casa é muito bom também. A vista no fim de tarde merece cada centavo.

Totally overpriced. 1 bottle of water costs 5€, plus the portions were ridiculous. Tourist trap. Wouldn’t recommend at all.
Los precios están por las nubes y las raciones son ridicules. Una botella de agua cuesta 5€. Es una trampa para turistas, no recomendable.

Servers are very pushy when it comes to their “up selling” products like bottles of water or bread. But the meals were very good and big enough portions that we had leftovers.
Come hungry, and no need to order appetizers.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker obwohl es nach wenig aussieht wird man wirklich satt davon. Empfehlenswert ist auch der Hauswein. Die Lage rundet das ganze noch ab. Direkt an der Strandpromenade gelegen kann man den Ausblick aufs Meer genießen. Preislich etwas gehobener aber es ist sein Geld wert.

The food was lovely, staff very friendly. Bad points: got charged 1'95 for extra mayonaise for our sons chips, salads for the dishes not included in the price, charged extra 3'25 for sliced tomato..bad aftertaste because of that

Ordered two chicken dishes.... One perfect.... The other RAW! Told staff... No acknowledgement..... Mistakes are made... But if they did acknowledge and at the very least apologised then fair enough.... But none of that... :(

Estas son las segundas vacaciones en Armaçao de Pera y, sin duda, para cenar hemos escogido a Clipper para nuestras cenas. Atención inmejorable, comida deliciosa y de buena calidad y el trato del personal y de Manuel fabuloso. Todo nos encanta, comemos de 10. Para repetir una y otra vez. Un acierto haber caído aquí!

This was perfectly decent. Unfortunately, they didn't understand what lactose intolerant means. Yes, butter does contain milk.... Most dishes came with a cheesy/creamy sauce. We thought to be safe with pasta and veggies, but it had butter sauce...

Dans l'ensemble c'est bien un peu trop cher à mon avis le curry au crevettes à 18.50 euros 7mini crevettes je trouve un peut une arnaque surtout que les crevettes devient bon marché , la salade grecque manquait un peut d'herbes type origan mais bien servie et le plat du jour ribs de porc aussi très bien.

Nous venons chaque été dans ce restaurant depuis 4 ans. Il est idéalement situé sur la digue, la cuisine y est excellente, le service irréprochable. Je conseille la dorade ou le bar, ainsi que les crevettes, et la crêpe aux noix en dessert. Une adresse à ne pas manquer

Ein tolles Restaurant mit gemütlichen Tischen an der Promenade. Die Speisekarte gibt es auf mindestens 8 verschiedenen Sprachen, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und schön angerichtet. Die Preise sind angemessen. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!

If you have had your fill of fish at tourist dives, a meal at this place will put Armação de Pêra at the top of your culinary destination to come back to.
Ordered the peppered steak. Wow what a great cut of meat! I think it was Sirloin. Quite possibly the best steak I've had in years!! , it's a very busy restaurant and one not to be missed when in the area. It has good choice of menus and very reasonable price for 5* Food served. It caters for one and all and you are made to feel very welcome by the staff. (Manuel)
