The seafood cataplana is a must, not completely traditional food and mainly for tourists but is good value for money.

Un sitio genial para comer además de estar a pie de playa. Íbamos 2 adultos y 2 niños. El trato excelente, siempre atentos y aunque no tienen la carta en español los camareros te la explican perfectamente. Los niños han comido un plato de espaguetis a la boloñesa para los 2 ya que el plato era grande, y ellos son de comer!!! Nos hemos pedido unas gambas de entrante, buenisimas!!! Y un plato cada uno, lubina acompañada de minis patatas al horno y ensalada y el otro plato a sido pollo al piri piri acompañado de ensalada. El pollo lo podías elegir al piri piri o con curry. Muy aconsejable.

That's the food. I'm food expert myself and is not easily to satisfy my taste..
I got prawns by Portuguese receipt. Perfect combination, excellent ballance of spices and flavors. Basmati rice- was surprised--was cooked by all Mishelin star standards. My friend got lamb legg. Was very tender and tasty. He said it was the best lamb he got before. Highly recommended. Five star.

Great location, wait staff very friendly and attentive. Went here for lunch and it was fantastic (try the Carpacho). Returned for dinner the next night, but the prices were somewhat inflated on their evening menu. Still good, but pricey compared to others around.

Idéalement situé à cote de la plage et en plein centre animé. Les serveurs sont très gentils et multilingues. La soupe de tomate a la mozzarella fait une très bonne entrée tout comme le feuilleté chèvre et mousse de figue. Le dessert Top Chocolat est délicieux, glace, mousse et brownie au chocolat. Le tout avec un service très rapide. Le prix des plats est un peu cher (20-30€ le plat).

Quality of food very disappointing! The food was way too salty, the paella cooked with an awful ham and bacon. And everything was over-priced. We ordered and expensive wine that came by glass but we never saw the bottle and we got something that tasted like the below-average house wine.
The only thing we liked here was a friendly waiter. But the food was such a BIG disappointment.

An excellent restaurant with a wide variety of food for kids as well as adults. The menu is well laid out with a variety of dishes, and specialties in local cuisine with plenty of seafood and meat options. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the view towards the sea sure makes it an excellent atmosphere to relax and sip on sangria. They have drinks offers as well!

Restaurant avec vue sur la mer, personnel extrêmement sympathique, à l'écoute de leurs clients.
Plats copieux et très bien présenté pour une brasserie. Niveau goût plutôt moyen (bas de gamme), pizza surgelée, cataplana sans saveur malgré la quantité au rdv (évitez la cataplana au poulet, c'est la pire des 2). Desserts copieux, bien présentés et bons.
A recommander quand même dans une densité touristique où les pièges à touristes sont nombreux !

Vinimos por las buenas valoraciones que tiene pero nada más lejos de la realidad. Mucho tiempo de espera para la comida, un plato venía con un mosquito, fríos, y sin sabor...
Pedimos bacalao y era casi todo raspas.
No recomendable, además es caro.

Very happy to get our party of 8 ( 4 adult 4 children ) to sit down bit as soon as we ordered service was appalling all 7 meals came out missing my meal which was 15 minutes later by this time everyone had finished my 9 year old autistic son also found a maggot in his salad I'm not sure he will ever eat salad again now we waited 30 minutes for our bill which of course was discounted and rightly so !! NEVER AGAIN

Fabulous view, overlooking the beach/sea, therefore paying for average, pricey food. Food was average and WARM when it arrived. Frozen chicken, Lamb dish was diabolical. Everything was pre- made and re-heated. Nothing was cooked from fresh. My sister Lamb dinner looked like a microwave dinner for one. Nice views, but I suggest you walk on by and try somewhere else. Maybe a Portuguese restaurant, not a restaurant owned by someone who's not Portugese. Terrible and over-priced. I've given 1 star and I still think I'm being too generous! AWFUL!
Afterwards, after being absolutely robbed we looked to the left at Tasco do Viegas, we all wished we had gone there instead!!!!!

Die Location ist der Hammer! Man kann draussen in der Nähe des Strandes sitzen. Das Essen war nicht schlecht, sehr grosszügige Portionen, die Preise ok. Doch das Personal, insbesondere die, die einen in das Restaurant locken wollen sind ziemlich aufdringlich. Dies hat mich sehr gestört beim Essen.

Einfach super. Preise sind etwas höher, dennoch empfehlenswert. Das Essen schmeckt sehr lecker. Zu empfehlen ist die Nr 336, Steak auf den Punkt es wird anfangs vorab etwas Brot angeboten. Hier könnte noch drauf hingewiesen werden das es 4.80 € extra kostet.
Personal ist immer aufmerksam und fix.

Hier kann man super lecker essen gehen. Die Rippchen sind ein Traum. Butterweich und süß angemacht. Der Fisch des Tages war auch absolut lecker. Die Preise sind zwar etwas höher, aber es lohnt sich hier Mal vorbei zu schauen. Bisher das besste Restaurant der Reise.

Promenade situated restaurant that opens early and closes late. We went in and had a breakfast which was cheap at only €5 with a coffee. It was a popular restaurant and had a steady flow of customers. The service was fine although the waiter forgot our second round of drinks and had to ask again.

Love this restaurant and the beach side setting it provides for a nice evening meal. The service is excellent and attentive. Although it provides meals for families and children, we always seem to find it attracts couples and older people and is generally quiet in the evening. Catapluna and fillet steak with port sauce are our favourites. There is a wide range of wine available to suit all tastes.

The problem here was having to give this place 1 star as its more than one too much, anyhow my other half ordered Salmon with garlic butter with ( Chips ) which was over cooked and tasteless, mines was a belter I ordered Pork satay on the skewer with ( Chips ) which was covered with a thick peanut sauce once cut open revealed fatty pink uncooked pork eeeek, was promptly sent back and another was cooked but by that time I’d lost my appetite and didn’t trust them to be able to cook another properly so eat there at you own risk not a great eating experience as you can imagine.

Un 20 août, jour férié au Portugal, c'est bondé mais on a réussi à trouver une table pour 12 ! Un peu long en service mais ça valait d'attendre ! Cataplane de Peixe e Marisco, pour 2 personnes pour 31 € ! Un pur délice local ! Accompagné d'un d.'un blanc fabuleux !

Visited last night family of 6 , ordered fillet steak these arrived in small bits ( offcuts ) 3 meals came out in correctly , asked for many things like cutlery napkins sauce many times for it not to be actioned . Sent a meal back wasn’t apologised to or offered another meal !! Was told when they doubled the price of the children’s meal as there is no menu they can charge what they like !!! Manager was the rudest man I have ever ever met when we asked to have the meal that was unsatisfactory removed he said he would call the police !!! We had young children with us
Wouldn’t ever ever want such a experience again what a shame as the restaurant looks beautiful great views but the treatment of paying customers was utterly horrendous

It was nice, we watched Belgium-Brasil here and had a fun time. The staff was friendly the food was good although a tad bit expensive. I definitely recommend to order a dessert. The Profiterole was amazing, I think I ate like two of those in total because they were too big for my parents.

Cabana is located right on the beachfront in the far corner of Old town. Lovely location! First class service and amazing Chicken Cataplana. Veal was also a highlight as were the €5 happy hour cocktails. Came here for dinner 4/5 times in 2 weeks it was that good.

Great location with beautiful view of the beach. Lovely helpful staff who were very good at trying to cater to my unruly toddler. Food was lovely, I couldn't fault it.

Gezellige plek, prima bediening maar het eten was wat simpel. Bij de burger geen extra's en de club sandwich waren geroosterde broodjes met ongeveer een fles whiskeysaus en wat plakjes ham en kaas. Voor een lunch viel het ons iets tegen.. maar als ik de foto's van andere zie denk ik dat we misschien wat verkeerde keuzes hebben gemaakt.

The worst restaurant ever. The worst food i ever had, everything tastes like fat, the staff in the kitchen have zero cooking notion, not one fresh ingredient in the dishes its all fron the package or frozen and poorly cooked, its just horrible and very very expencive for the quality. Terrible service, the waiters didnt care at all if we like the food or not, speaking with each other near the customers, we had 3 different persons going to our table, we asked for a simple water the waiter advised us not to... because they give you tap water. Its a no go!

Tijdens het rondlopen door het oude centrum kwamen wij hier langs. Zowel de carpaccio als de garnalen in knoflook als de inktvis salade zijn aan te bevelen.
Alleen de paprika in de inktvis salade was iets te overheersend wat jammer is.
Ook de pannenkoek met schenk stroop uit Nederland was lekker.
Bediening is vriendelijk en het uitzicht op zee schitterend.

Echt heerlijk eten!! Ja de obers zijn van die praatjesmakers, maar is leuk het is vakantie. Hoort erbij. De prijs is wat hoog maar dan krijg je echt waar voor je geld!!

Prachtig plekje met uitzicht op zee. Eten was kwalitatief goed en netjes geprijsd. Het enige nadeel vond ik dat je werkelijk waar naar binnen wordt gelokt met hele vervelende drukke praatjes door de obers. Deze hebben wat woordjes Nederlands geleerd, komt heel goedkoop over.. als je in 1e instantie het aanbod afslaat krijg je altijd een 15% kortingsbon. Nadat wij toch toegaven wreef een ober lachend in zijn handjes en kwamen ze met opnemen gehaast over. respectloos...
Kwaliteit van het eten komt niet overeen met de service.

Very disappointed by our dinner, would not reccomend for others. Not authentic Portuguese and overall not tasty, and not worth the price. Our chicken just tasted like rubber with no seasoning. There are way better restaurants in the area!

We had lunch this summer and we were invited to come in by a person who was advertising the restaurant outside. The problem is that this person told us that the dish Chicken piri-piri would come with half chicken in it so we went in and we order the chicken piri piri. When the dish arrived at our table we were chocked because it came with just a very small parts of the chicken. That was a really disapointing experience however the night before just at the restaurand which is next door we had the best dish ever in Albufeira!!!

Surpresa agradável.
Jantar de aniversário com reserva. Chegamos e o restaurante estava cheio e como tínhamos um bebé foram muito amáveis e reservaram a mesa do interior num local mais reservado para nós.
Empregados muito prestáveis e simpáticos de várias nacionalidades.
Comida estava boa sem deslumbrar mas vale o preço.
Garrafeira é muito vasta e vinho a copo de muitas variedades como não tinha visto até então.
No final destaco a surpresa de todo o staff ao chegar a mesa com o bolo de aniversário e cantando os parabéns.
Excelente experiência que só posso recomendar.
Local a repetir certamente.

One of our favorite places in Abufiera. Great location with a great view of the ocean if you sit outside. We’ve come here for lunches and dinner. King Kong burger is a hit with my kids and the tomato soup and seafood soup are also popular. For dinner, the duck is terrific as are the seafood choices. Service can be a bit slow and prices are not cheap but the experience is worth. A must visit before you leave.

Food was good for most of our party. However, despite advertising a vegetarian chef, they twice brought out an incorrect vegetarian meal to the same person. We had to chase them 5 times to bring the correct meal out, and by this time, the rest of our party had finished eating. They also forgot a round of drinks, which we had to chase multiple times. When we complained, their attitude was totally apathetic. We refused to pay the full bill, and only at this point did they apologise and give us a small discount. There are so many good restaurants in this area who give good service and want you to eat in their establishment, I am baffled how this restaurant keeps running, other than preying on tourists. Avoid, especially if you are vegetarian.

Really nice food!
I had the veal in mushroom sauce, which was amazing! The sauce is rich and you just want more and more! The other dishes in the table were nice, everybody was happy at the end of the meal. For dessert I had the profiterole, which was also really good.
Indeed the price is a bit higher than the some of the restaurants around, but it totally worth it!

Outstanding menu. The bacon wrapped sea bass and pork in dark beer and plum sauce were both amazing. The chocolate lasagna was way too sweet for our taste and we love desserts! The service was slow at first but picked up with time. The place has a decent view if you're not stuck in the back and very polite waiters. The prices are very good for what you're getting. I'd definitely recommend it!!

This is truly a great spot. The food is really good,tasty and is has to be locally sourced as it was so fresh, flavoursome and vibrant. Its spotlessly clean with the nicest staff in any restaurant in the Algarve.
Its February and we tried a few other places around the Algarve from Faro to Sagres, not all were open, most were only fine so we were less than good so we were not that confident for the options as we were in the area for a few days. Thankfully this place was well reviewed and rightfully so.
On our last day it was raining and our young daughters shoes were a bit wet. The brilliant staff went out of their way to be kind and welcoming to us they took her sneakers and brought them to dry and also gave them blankets! Our girls were so happy at Cabana Fresca they called all the team here their friends! Especially Artem he is a wonderful character and excellent restaurant manager.

We chose this restaurant according to the other reviews and had high expectations, but remained disappointed. We ordered the cod fish and tagliatelle with sole fish. We had a good place facing the sea, amazing view. The service was well organized and professional. We choose a lobster that we shared for 2. The prices are slightly higher than other places but quite similar to most of restaurants you will find in this area. A very very busy place, and even with a lot of staff, you can be sometimes forgotten... we had to wait a bit to get or plates cleaned out the table and spent 15 minutes before being asked for cofee and desert. But still a super place to try!
