Very local place in tourist area. Food was good. Owner was very friendly and smile most of the time. He can speak little english but enough to have conversation and order some food. Food also fresh made. It is no menu place just point it and he will cooked it for you. Price wasn't expensive. Two people , 3 beers 3 dishes around 28-30 Euros.

Un authentique bar à tapas portugais. On y mange des plats sur un immense bar en U ou tout le monde vient s'assoir sur des chaises hautes, les serveurs et cuisinières sont au centre. Les plats sont fait minute, devant vous, authentique cuisine portugaise que l'on choisit à l'entrée en vitrine, que du frais. On y regarde un match de foot ou on fait l'apero avec les gens du quartier, un coin d'habitué. Vieux loups de mer y croisent des petits groupes de jeunes branchés et quelques touristes régulier qui ne sont plus attiré par les artifices moderne des autres restaurants. Le staff est une famille de gens assez âgé et très agréables, on est dans une expérience plus authentique des bars restaurants de Lagos, plus intime aussi. La déco et un bric à vrac qui témoigne de la longue histoire du lieu, qui n'a probablement que très peu changé avec le temps. Un bon souvenir de vacance, à faire absolument si vous êtes seul ou en très petit nombre (nombre de places assez limité).

Prezzi da ristorante, ma mangi su tavoli e sedie in plastica, senza tovaglia e tovagliolini da bar, nn c è menu, ti alzi e scegli alla vetrina vicino al bancone quello che vuoi. Abbiamo preso 2vongole, 1formaggino, 1insalata di merluzzo ma erano perlopiù ceci, vino. 3stelle perché era tutto buono. Nn ci tornerei.

Einfache, urige und traditionelle Bierhalle mit leckeren regionalen Snacks. Bifanas, Presunto de monchique, Muscheln, Cirizzo (eigentlich spanisch), usw.. Dazu ein knorriges aber sehr freundliches Betreiberehepaar und Luis, der es mittlerweile hinter die Theke geschafft und auch bedient. Ein sehr netter und lebenslustiger Algarvios, der auch Nachhilfe in Portugiesisch erteilt. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass die Preise angestiegen sind. Wir brauchen diese Cervejeria seit acht Jahren.

Un raro posto da local in un posto totalmente colonizzato dai turisti inglesi. All'inizio sembrano scortesi ma in realtà sono carini una volta rotto il ghiaccio. Ci si può sedere fuori o dentro al bancone. A prescindere dal menù si può ordinare ciò che si vede in vetrina. Da provare assolutamente se passate dalle parti di Lagos.

Nice local spot with friendly service and fresh seafood. Went for lunch and left very happy with the experience. No menu, literally pointed at what we wanted in the cooler out front and it was cooked and served to us. Everything tasted fantastic and worth it. Would recommend and come again.

Très bel endroit pour manger de bons fruits de mer typiques! Entre 10-15€ pour une assiette. Le choix varie en fonction des produits frais du jour. Ambiance très calme.

We aways pop in here for a traditional and excellent freshly cooked bifana, bit of piri piri sauce and wow!! For those complaining about no menu - it’s on a blackboard on the right hand door as you face the bar - in Portuguese & English! We love this place, learn a tiny bit of Portuguese and be welcomed.

Es ist eine gemütliche, portugiesische Bar (Kneipe) mit toller, typischer Atmosphäre, in der man nicht nur trinken, sondern auch sehr leckere Kleinigkeiten zu sich nehmen kann. Wer so etwas über die Mittagszeit sucht, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Ich kann das "Ferradura" nur empfehlen.

Stay away. Man wird als tourist 100% komplett ausgenommen. Wir man den Bildern der locals entnehmen kann ist die reguläre Portion durchaus zufriedenstellend. Als tourist bekommt man weniger als die Hälfte. Wir hatten den negativen Bewertungen nicht geglaubt und sind hier voll in die Falle gegangen. Eigentlich lecker und als uriges Restaurant, das was man im Urlaub sucht, aber 40 Euro für 20 Muscheln und 10 kleinen Sardinen, nein Danke. Portugal von seiner schlechtesten Seite.

Después de estar esperando una hora sentados en una barra y con un calor excesivo, nos tuvimos que ir sin comer, pq la que dirige el bar decide cuando te toca comer (muy antipática y maleducada) hay que aclarar que apenas había clientes, por lo que su actitud no tenía sentido

Très bonne nourriture (coquillages excellents, au poids) et bar avec une décoration particulière. Mais de toute évidence, un bar à l’ambiance typique qui se paie... les touristes ne sont apparemment pas les bienvenus. Même si nous avons fait des efforts pour parler portugais (google translate, mais quand même !), les propriétaires n’ont fait aucun effort de leur côté (nous n’avions pas compris un mot de ce qu’ils disaient, aucun geste, aucun sourire). Le pain a été déposé « boum » devant nous. Pas un merci, alors que nous avions été généreux sur les nôtres. Le personnel est de ce fait très désagréable et nous sommes sortis stressés, avec une impression de les avoir dérangés. La note est relativement salée pour la région : 22 euros pour deux boissons et un tapas de coquillages.

Pessima esperienza. Abbiamo ordinato sia piatti già pronti che altri che richiedevano una preparazione veloce (cannolicchi e vongole). I primi, quelli già pronti, sono arrivati abbastanza in fretta (di qualità discreta). I secondi non li abbiamo mai visti. Però è stato servito il tavolo a fianco, perché “vengono tutte le settimane”, con ben tre porzioni di cannolicchi, dicendoci che i prossimi sarebbero stati i nostri. Peccato che fossimo lì da più di un’ora e che il tavolo dei loro amici fosse arrivato ben 45 minuti dopo di noi. Ho letto diverse recensioni in merito a questa differenza di servizio, purtroppo riscontrata anche da noi: se sei loro amico o se ti conoscono mangi, altrimenti vieni ignorato totalmente. Senza attendere oltre e annullando l’ordine di vongole e cannolicchi, dopo un’ora e mezza ce ne siamo andati. Vergognoso. Sconsiglio categoricamente questo locale. Abbiamo buttato via €26, tornando a casa avendo ancora fame. Ripeto, vergognoso.

Simplesmente deplorável. Atendimento com nota abaixo de zero. A presumível dona, uma perfeita cavalgadura, é do mais cínico e antipático que se pode encontrar. Segundo o que nos foi dado a saber pelos locais, ou és amigo ou és explorado...

A única estrela é só mesmo pelo ambiente, pq pelo atendimento teria dado nota negativa, se disponível. A mulher que atende, talvez dona do lugar, é simplesmente uma chucra. Além do atendimento cavalar, as porções tem preços elevados, ao q consta diferenciados para quem não é amigo da casa (vide trip advisor qto a isso).

Hemos encontrado este sitio por casualidad caminando por las callejuelas de Lagos y nos llamó la atención el local, diferente auténtico. Lugar con encanto . Marisco. Ensaladas,bocatas.....todo muy bueno fresco, su surtido varia en función de lo que le llegue. Buen precio, limpio .Tiene una barra con taburetes fijos en forma de herradura y con mesas fuera. Te recomiendo dentro más auténtico. Por las mañanas es más tranquilo con gente local y por las tardes más ambiente con una mezcla de culturas digno de ver. Las personas q atienden muy amables, cercanas y lidian con los idiomas de forma magistral Si vienes a lagos no dejes de ir, volverás seguro y huiras de los restaurantes turísticos....porque la Ferradura es UNICO. Disfrutadlo.

Went with my mother as we love shellfish and read great reviews. Sat down and I asked a few questions about the menu. The owner wouldn't tell me how many grams in a portion, quite important as they charge by weight. She wouldn't tell me how they prepare the different types, what sauce, steamed, or grilled. She only replies it depends and showed no patience, we left. A couple night later, I thought let's go back as I wanted to try the food, I like non pretentious places that serve real local cuisine. My mom walked in and sat at the bar which was 75% empty. I went outside to read what the menu had that day. When I came back in the woman who was previously rude gave a rhy smile, however now another older lady started attacking my mother verbally because she doesn't speak Portuguese, saying: "I don't speak English, just Portuguese, waving her hands and throwing a tantrum. Making her feel very uncomfortable. I asked my mom what happened she said, she sat on a bar stool that was occupied by a local who turned out to be outside smoking so she didn't know and politely moved over. The woman got so pissed off that she couldn't understand "this seat is occupied" in Portuguese she starts losing her mind. I speak Portuguese and looked at the woman and asked if she is serious....she ignored me shrugged her shoulders and again we left. It's petty and they do not like tourists, regardless if you live in the country and speak the language, contribute to the economy. Take your money elsewhere, it's not our fault the older generations have a chip on their shoulder because they were ruled by Salazar the dictator who treated them badly, doesn't mean you insult kind hearted people, because they have blonde hair and speak with an accent. Shocker
