Can't recommend this restaurant highly enough.
The traditional Portuguese food was excellent and the staff could not do enough to help, nothing was to much trouble.
Very reasonably priced and I always visit when I'm in Albuferia.
Also caters for kids .

Ate here with my family, food wasn’t as amazing as I thought it would be but wasn’t terrible.
Was reasonably priced, but think there are other places around that is also good value?

The food is very tasty, lovely atmosphere and the people is very friendly and helpful, they are there when you need them absolutely recommended! I came back for a second time. I had the cataplana and it was very good, second time had a steak and it was incredible, full of flavour and soooo tender! Loved it!

Can't fault the staff but the food I can!.Definitely not a Portuguese restaurant as stated. Quality not on a par with nearby restaurants charging the same prices. Surprised by the 5 star rating as I wouldn't give it more than a 2.

Wer an der Algarve ist und hier nicht gegessen hat, der hat echt was versäumt. Das ist hier wie heimkommen zu Mutters Fischtöpfen. Beste Cataplana ever und das nette Team merkt sich sogar, was für ne Nachspeise man hatte.

We have taken our son & daughter in law to a typical Portuguese restaurant tonight , we have had the most wonderful evening, food first class , a real good laugh with the waiters . What more could you ask for . Fantastic. Always really good .

Has the atmosphere of a rustic family run restaurant, friendly staff, simple quality dishes served fast. Recommend the Portuguese style steak, it was perfection.

Ce restaurant est génial le personnel est très gentil
On a pris des sardines et des encornets.. ils vous transporte dans un monde parfait.... pour le vin on avait décidé de goûter leur vin à eux nous n’avons pas été forcément très satisfait ils nous l’ont changé sans problème adorable et accueillant

Immer wieder sehr herzlicher Empfang, gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Wir gehen immer wieder gerne dorthin und sind jedes Mal sehr zufrieden. Der frisch gegrillte Fisch wird immer filettiert serviert.

Excellent Food, cooked when u order. Highly recommend steak or bbq ribs staff are very helpful and friendly. Have to mention George, he is d English guy outside getting ppl in very funny, charismatic and speaks every language.

Of the different places and restaurants we visited around Algarve, we found the staff at this restaurant the most friendly.
It was a pleasant change to find someone cheerful and with some great sense of humor.
The food also lived up to our expectations. The ambiance, service, the time taken, the attitude and the food all were perfect.

Abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante trovato per caso, mangiato veramente bene; abbiamo ordinato pesce fresco e prima di cucinarlo ci ê stato mostrato per conferma. Se serve ci sono alcuni camerieri che parlano italiano.

Fantástico restaurante, excelente calidad y servicio. Buen precio. Totalmente recomendable para recordar Algarve por su gastronomía. Todo un ejemplo de buena hostelería. Deliciciosos platos de pescados, entrantes, postres, etc. Trato inmejorable cercano, atento y muy profesional. Gracias Jorge por invitarnos a entrar. Volveremos desde ESPAÑA!!!!!

Came across Donald's by chance, as the Indian restaurant was closed. So glad we did. We had Garlic cheese bread to start and a sharing Sea Bass with vegetables, salad and chips. Absolutely delicious . A very enthusiastic and friendly George welcomed us at the door and introduced us to other customers. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and the service was excellent. Will we be going again, most definitely .

Efectuei Reserva, a receção foi muito boa, o Senhor extremamente simpático e atencioso. O mesmo não se pode dizer do serviço de mesas. Apesar da simpatia inicial, com o tempo e com a casa ficando mais vazia, distrairam-se na conversa e acabaram descorando da atenção às mesas. Nem todos são clientes habituais pelo que tivemos uma experiência má no final. Começaram por se esquecer de um pedido de uma água extra, a atenção à nossa mesa passou a ser nula, tivemos de estar a olhar bastante tempo para que por acidente dessem com a nossa mesa e lá conseguíssemos pedir sobremesa. 20 minutos depois levantam-nos para pagar pois tinham-se esquecido, o que admitiram.
Um dos empregados de mesa "compensou" retirando da conta as águas. No entanto foi a primeira e última vez.
Comida boa, mas deixou a desejar muito em tudo o resto. Ficou uma conta de 50€ que poderia ter sido mais com sobremesas e café, com 2 clientes satisfeitos.

Had one of these sea bass grilled for two, served filleted and with all the trimmings - perfect and reasonable price! Wine was good and cheaper than rhe overpriced beer! The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. Situated on the roadside, noise as expected, a bit of a seaview and nearby rooftops with trees here and there - quite peaceful and relaxing actually... Will probably visit again!

Highly rated restaurant. George was so funny and likeable, the kids loved him. Food was authentic, very tasty and well priced. Cosy inside seating. Lots of regulars eating there. Will visit again.

I am not sure why this place gets good reviews. It was not good at all and very expensive. The steak Portuguese style was too salty, not cooked well with big chunks of under cooked garlic pieces on top. It seemed like instead of taking the time to cook the steak properly, they just had it boil in its own juices making it tough and without much great flavor. My friend had the squid and it wasn't cleaned. The cartilage was still in the bodies, it was super salty and fishy tasting. The only reason I gave it two stars is because the people were nice. But the food was overpriced, not prepared well and no frills. I was very disappointed.

Nous avons mangé dans ce restaurant un soir.
Qualité/prix laisse à désirer.
Nous avons demandé du steak de thon mi-cuit et de la viande.
Le steak était très cuit et on avait l’impression de manger du caoutchouc et la viande était dure et fade.
On a quand même fait par de notre avis à quelqu’un du personnel mais il n’a pas réagis et n’avait pas l’air surpris.

Comida péssima a preços altos. Nos secretos de porco preto, a carne estava literalmente carbonizada e bastante rija. As batatas fritas também vêm demasiado queimadas e a saber a óleo velho. Nem o arroz conseguiu salvar o prato. Tudo mau, até a cerveja em copo vem com pouco gás. Nem quis arriscar a pedir sobremesa nem café. Muito mau!

Lovely locally run restaurant with good Portugese food. The man on the street is good fun to talk to (he is English) even if you do not go in. If you go once he will remember you next time you pass. If you go again you are a regular. He is much less pushy, or at least nicer about it, than those down the strip.
If the weather is warm enough you can sit or on the patio. The noise from the strip does not intrude.

Absolutly brilliant restaurant, staff and food..We have just left and hubby had the portugese style steak after garlic mushrooms and managed to squeeze a dessert in..I had the Prawn cocktail followed by Carbonara..LOVED it all and well priced.. Highly recommend and will definately return .

A delightful quaint and charismatic restaurant full of character. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is exquisite and very reasonably price, I would fully recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed.

Went for dinner with the family and had a wonderful experience. The kids became seafood lovers during this trip and enjoyed here the shrimps, clams and squid very much. The piri-piri chicken was also good and the fish and seafood Cataplana was excellent. Kids enjoy free ice cream but we went for proper deserts instead which were also a success. To top it all up the service was excellent; attentive, friendly and just right. Great food and hospitality. Overall a wonderful treat - go and enjoy!

Myself and family visited this restaurant twice on our holiday, the food was very good and the service was also very good, the man on the street getting the people in was very funny but very good at his job and by God he could fill a restaurant in minutes.

E apenas o melhor restaurante do Algarve atendimento 5 estrelas comida fantástica excelente qualidade preço mas se fosse mais caro justifica-se no serviço recomendo aos meus amigos que ficam encantados e clientes pena ir poucas vezes por morar no Porto e passar pouco tempo no Algarve o proprietário esposa e filho trabalham no duro para que seja assim mas sempre que entrar num restaurante e a pessoa que o dirige se chamar "" Amândio "" pode entrar é sempre bom . Fica na Oura e vale a pena atravessar o Algarve para ir lá comer .
