Un Vrais restaurant Portugais. Pas un piège à touriste. Rien que de la cuisine Portugaise cuisiné devant vous. Nous avons choisi la Cataplana à la Lotte pour 2. Délicieuse et copieuse. Nous aurions pu manger à 4 sur la quantité. Pommes de terre, oignons, Poivrons, céleri, coriandre, de la Lotte bien sûr en quantité, mais aussi des crevettes roses et des coquillages. Je vous recommande. 29€ le plat pour 2 1/2 bouteille de vin blanc 1 litre d'eau minerale 2 cafés 40€ Rassasiés, repus, et heureux. Je recommande ce restaurant

Unser Highlight in Lagos. Danke für den tollen Service, den ein oder anderen Lacher ( trotz Sprachbarriere) und vor allem dem unfassbar, entschuldigt den Ausdruck, geilen Essen. In der offenen Küche kann man dem Koch bei seiner vollkommen entspannten (zumindest erweckte es den Anschein) Arbeit zuschauen. Hier gehen wir am letzten Tag garantiert wieder hin

Fantastic local food and a really nice mom & pop restaurant. I'd highly recommended deviating from the touristy areas to enjoy dinner at this gem.

Découvert juste pour boire un café au hasard d’une promenade dans les dédales de ruelles reculées un peu excentrées du cœur touristique de la ville, c’est le certificat d’excellence estampillé ‘Tripadvisor », fièrement arboré à la vitre de l’établissement, qui nous a poussé à y revenir pour déjeuner, en espérant y trouver l’authenticité d’une cuisine portugaise qui a déserté le centre, où fleurissent principalement des restaurants touristiques, avec des cartes plus internationales, censés satisfaire les attentes d’estomacs majoritairement « nord-européens ». Eh bien, au risque de plomber un peu l’ambiance de l’engouement quasi général qui transparaît à la lecture des notations et commentaires élogieux, perso je mettrais un léger bémol avec une notation correcte mais sans plus de 3 sur 5, qui me paraît plus en adéquation avec mes précédentes expériences gastronomiques Algarvoises. L’accueil (anglophone) de la patronne ne nous a pas semblé spécialement expansif ni enthousiaste, même lors de notre seconde visite, et puisqu’il n’y avait qu’une seule autre table occupée dans tout le restaurant à l’heure du « coup de chaud » de 13 heures, on ne peut pas mettre cela sur le compte du surmenage. Nous avons opté pour des soupes en entrée (bonnes), suivi de poulet grillé au feu de bois, copieusement servi mais à déconseiller en cas de troubles hémorroïdaires car extrêmement poivré (donc si vous n’avez pas de problèmes particuliers de ce côté, ce sera au niveau de la bouche que ça « arrache » !) et truffé de petits os concassés lors de la cuisson, accompagné de frites et tomates plutôt quelconques. Le côté original des lieux réside effectivement dans le fait que le patron (Alberto ?) opère aux fourneaux en toute transparence juste à côté de la salle de restaurant, et je veux bien croire que le rapport qualité-prix est plutôt étudié comparativement à ses concurrents du centre-ville, mais Lagos reste à mes yeux une (jolie) ville plutôt chère pour l’Algarve, dont le tourisme estival de masse contribue à l’inflation tarifaire. Pour le même prix, perso je conseille de pousser un peu plus à l’Est, du côté de Faro, Olhão ou Tavira où l’on déguste des petits plats lusitaniens tout aussi bons, à bien moindre coût.

Restaurant traditionnel, calme, propre, service parfait, délicieux : tout est dit : ne pas hésiter !

Serviço com uma simpatia e qualidade muito boas. Provamos a cataplana de peixe, estava simplesmente deliciosa, muito sabor e quantidade! Adoramos esta experiência gastronómica, será um local a regressar certamente. A relação qualidade preço pareceu apropriada.

Note: Restaurant opens at 19:00/7 pm. Not like google says. Was there 10 mins before the restaurant opened. The proprietors were so nice to already seat me and take my order. Ordered frango na brasa piri-piri. Was hot, fresh snd very delicious. The right amount of spicy. Followed the recommendations on the quality of the food and was not disappointed. For desert you can choose from the display and I had the torta de claras. Another delight. Warm service, delicious food and reasonable priced. Muito obrigado à Senhora da Casa e ao cozinheiro!

Einfach nur Grandios. Die offene Küche, die herzliche Art und das Essen waren SPITZE. Von Außen eher abschreckend, von Innen wie bei Oma&Opa, die sich mit viel Liebe um das leibliche Wohl sorgen. Der empfohlene Fisch Cataplana für 2 Personen wurde unseren Wünschen, nämlich ohne Seafood, gemacht. Es wird wirklich ALLES frisch und vor den Augen des Gastes zubereitet. Selbst Pommes. Ein absolutes Muss. Wir kommen wieder!!!

At Alberto‘s ist totally recommendable. The food was perfect , very much of a regional taste. They offer real pure and very good portuguese cuisine, not like the restaurants along the shopping streets. The hosts were so friendly and open-hearted as well (they even took us to the train station) trying to make our stay as comfortable as possible (we unfortunately were in quite a hurry). Especially the fish (Cataplana) was really tasty and cooked really well. We would come back for sure one day. Thank you again :)

Von außen und im Eingangsbereich macht das Restaurant wenig her. Doch wenn man bis ins Restaurant gekommen ist, bekommt man eine Speisekarte in Portugiesisch, Englisch und sogar Deutsch. Die offene Küche verspricht bereits hohe Qualität, da man dem Koch direkt über die Schulter schauen kann. Das Essen war sehr gut! Ein echter Geheimtipp! Die Preise sind für die excellente Qualität enorm günstig. Die Bedienung hat nachgefragt ob uns das Gericht schmeckt und/oder wir noch Wünsche haben. Trotz ihrem hohen Alters in einem ausgesprochenen guten Englisch. Respekt! Wir werden in unseren restlichen Tage, auf jedenfall so oft wie nur möglich hier essen.

Llegamos bastante tarde y no había muchos platos disponibles pero tienen muy buena relación calidad precio cenamos estupendamente lo recomiendo muy encarecidamente

La comida bastante buena y los platos bien presentados solo una crítica no quedaban muchos productos de la carta pero al elegir otros platos, nos quedamos muy satisfechos con la relación calidad precio creo que fue un acierto parar a cenar en este lugar muy tipico portugués además pedí 1/2 botella de vino y estaba buenísimo he dejado fotos para que el que quiera lo pueda degustar

Netter Familienbetrieb. Fleisch wie Fisch werden vor den Augen der Gäste zubereitet. Es schmeckt ausgezeichnet und der Service ist sehr nett. Die Preise sind für Lagosverhältnisse tief. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Friendly husband and wife team A small restaurant run by husband “Alberto” who single handed does all the cooking and his wife who conducts front of house with the experience of many years at the task, they also have two assistants in the kitchen. Every item is cooked to order by Alberto who you can see deftly producing each dish. You are made to feel very welcome in this restaurant just as if you are a regular customer. We ordered water, house wine and bread. We shared a starter of fried baby squids cooked with garlic. The mains where Pork with clams and filleted fish with banana. My pork and clams, which I believe is a Portuguese speciality was delicious. My wife ordered the fish but sidelined the banana, the fish was cooked to perfection and served with french fries and vegetables. The total bill was €48.40

Voor ons een nieuw restaurant. Goede kwaliteit tegen een redelijke prijs. De menukaart was uitgebreid, maar de vis was een specialiteit. We waren onder de indruk van de kok in de open keuken. Aanrader!!

Leider muss man mindestens einen Stern vergeben. Das Lokal war nicht einmal zur Hälfte voll, trotzdem wurden wir geschlagene 40 Minuten ignoriert und nicht bedient. Weder ein Wort dass die Dame alleine im Service ist oder sonstiges. Sind dann aufgestanden und gegangen.

O serviço é eficiente e a senhora muito simpática e profissional. Recomendo a reserva prévia pois é um restaurante muito concorrido! Logo à entrada tem um bar/café com balcão. A cozinha é aberta o que possibilita a visualização da confeção dos pratos. E também a fruição de todos os aromas... hum... que delícia. A sala é espaçosa. Tem uma lareira antiga que não sei se funciona no Inverno pôr que só frequento no verão. Recomendo vivamente as Amêijoas à Bulhão Pato. Nunca tinha visto em nenhuma ementa "Omelete de Tomate" e pedi para experimentar. Muito saborosa. Sobremesas variadas: torta de amêndoa é boa!

Cant ask for anything more with this little gem of a place. Have been everytime my wife and I travel to Luz/Lagos.

Ristorante a gestione completamente familiare. Il servizio è ottimo, molto gentile e cordiale la signora molto attenta affinché tutto andasse bene. I piatti abbondanti e tipicamente portoghesi, consiglio la cataplana. Lo chef Alberto sà il fatto suo! Molto simpatico ed estramente competente e meticoloso. Fuori dal caos turistico. Vivamente consigliato.

Lovely family restaurant with superb food and not expensive. We go back time and time again, it's one of our favourite restaurants on the algarve.

First visit to O Alberto and will definitely not be the last. From entering the restaurant we were made most welcome. Our meal was beautifully presented and the quality was fantastic. A fabulously relaxed restaurant and we certainly look forward to returning.

A mom and pops restaurant that takes pride in their food and service. We had piri piri chicken and the tuna steak. Both were hot and fresh and large portions. Both came with sides of fresh vegetables. Good Portuguese wine list. There's a bar at the front and dining room at the back, so don't be fooled - it can and is probably a full house without seeing from the street. They have a multilingual menu available.

Absolutely stunning the Portuguese steak is particularly excellent. All in all probably the best value forooms money.

Authentic Portuguese food like grilled fish, cataplanes, chicken piri piri, etc. The service is just the best we had in Lagos. Don't forget the dessert. Homemade cakes !
