Ristorante accogliente, con personale molto cordiale ed efficente. Ottima carta con piatti della tradizione portoghese con un tocco di raffinatezza, che accontenta tutti i gusti. Abbiamo scelto 4 "petiscos", 2 di mare e 2 di terra, tutti molto buoni e ben serviti. Per finire il dolce dello chef "mille e una notte".... Una piacevole sorpresa.

Un bacalao al horno excelente! Calidad, bien cocinado y abundante. El helado de algarrobo, muy bueno. Buen precio. Amabilidad y un patio muy acogedor. Recomendable sin ninguna duda.

I would not recommend. We were waiting 30 min for the food and 10 min for lemonade (we were 2 and there were only 2 more people).
The price for a dinner was high as for what we have gotten. The worst restaurant so far on my trip in Portugal.

Jak dla mnie na 4.5 to miejsce nie zasluguje. Hmmm paella z krewtkami i osmiornica komponowana z fasola i czym na wzór bulionu nie miala smaku a wręcz nie dalo sie tego zjesc... moze to dlatego, że sezon jeszcze sie nie rozpoczął .

Attention celiac/coeliacs!! Almost everything on the menu is gluten free, and the servers are so kind and helpful with allergen info. Even if you aren’t celiac, this food is incredible!

Be sure to get a reservation--they seem to require them. The staff were very friendly and the ambiance was fantastic. They treated our international group of travelers really well. A quaint place to try the flavors of the Algarve.

We had octopus with sweet potato puré, grilled fish with salad and massed cauliflower accompanied by suckling pig. The food was exceptionally amazing, the octopus was very well spiced and cooked to perfection. Easily the best octopus I have had. We ordered bread which wasn't fresh and olives which were bitter - would not recommended, unfortunately.

Ce restaurant qui nous a été chaudement recommandé souffle le chaud et le froid.
Un serveur mal aimable ( menu jeté non chalament sur la table pour nous signifier celle ci )
IAprès 50 minutes d attente une fois la commande passée , nous Réclamons notre entrée.. Il a oublié de la commander, ne s’en excuse absolument pas et nous la sert en même temps que le plat principal que nous renvoyons bien évidement.
Vexé par l intervention de mon mari, il nous délaisse au profit de sa collègue qui elle a rattrapé le coup.
Ce fut bien dommage car les plats étaient très bons.
Vous pouvez y aller mais si vous croisez ce serveur fuyez ou faites vous servir par la jeune fille car elle s est excusée à plusieurs reprises à la place de son collègue et nous la remercions pour son accueil.

We had a wonderful New Year’s eve dining experience at Portas de Sao Pedro. The place was packed with locals who you could tell also enjoyed the attentive service and wonderful food: 5 courses with the corresponding wine pairing! Truly a feast for 40 euros per person

Fuimos recomendados por Tripadvisor, para cenar algo de picoteo por Faro después de visitar el pueblo. Había solo 3 mesas ocupadas, es decir el bar prácticamente vacío. Nos sentaron en una mesa, de la que nos cambiaron a los 10 minutos a otra sin ninguna explicación. Pedimos, y tardaron 50 minutos en traernos el primer petisco (pulpo con ajo y aceite de oliva, nada demasiado elaborado) y estaba super salado (además a la media hora de haber ya pedido los platos, se acerca el camarero a decirnos que una de las tapas no les queda...) Todavía tardaban 15 minutos en sacarnos la segunda tapa (huevos revueltos con espárragos) así que decidimos pagar lo que habíamos comido e irnos. Desoladora la atención al cliente, a pesar de estar prácticamente solos en el bar. Las tapas pequeñas y bastante caras, por encima de 8€ cada una. Muy frustrante.

Das Restaurant ist leider nicht empfehlenswert. Ich hatte eine kleine Flasche Wein bestellt, welche durch den Kellner entkorkt wurde. Nach dem Einschank in ein Glas (mir wurden ca. 0,2 l eingegossen) stellte ich ein großes Stück Kork in diesem fest, worauf ich den Kellner aufmerksam machte. Er nahm hiernach das Glas weg und stellte mir kurze Zeit später ein leeres Glas hin. Ersatz gab es leider keinen und die Flasche wurde mir voll berechnet.
Das Essen war durchschnittlich und nichts Besonderes. Zu empfehlen ist lediglich der Oktopus.

Went last week. Note the opening times in google were never right. Also they moved to a more central location and will open on Tuesday I think.
Food was great so was the service. Best to book and now it will be on the more busy area thing may change. Including opening times. One of the best tapas I had in faro.

Great lunch place in Faro. Not the touristic type. Amazing deco , smiley and fast service.

Ein Traum! Geschmacklich eine pure Explosion und jedes Gericht bis ins kleinste Detail abgestimmt. Kellnerin war super freundlich und hat perfektes Englisch gesprochen. Das Lokal ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und alles in allem einfach eine perfekte Tapas Bar. Und preislich für dieses Essen sogar fast zu billig. Zu fünft haben wir alle glücklich und pappsatt das Lokal verlassen und haben jeder nur 20€ dagelassen (inkl. Getränke).
Kann ich nur jedem empfehlen!

Depois de andar às voltas pelas ruas de Faro e finalmente arranjar estacionamento a pagar, chegamos ao restaurante numa segunda feira ao almoço e fomos recebidos com a pergunta "tem reserva?" "não tem, só pode comer a partir das 15h"
Havia mesas disponíveis e nenhuma tinha reserva.
Ou têm esta política irritante ou não gostaram da nossa cara. Éramos 4 adultos e uma criança...
Super frustrante!
P.S.1: não fizemos reserva como parece que todos fazem porque foi a primeira vez que fui a Faro e foi a primeira vez que procurei o melhor restaurante na zona.
Em lado algum avisam que é obrigatório fazer reserva (vide Tripadvisor e Google)
P.S.2: Já li algumas respostas por parte do proprietário e a conclusão que tiro é que se trata de alguém com um ego do tamanho do Mundo e senhor de toda a razão do Universo....

Bardzo przyjemne i klimatyczne miejsce. Jedzenie pyszne. Obsługa mówi po angielsku oraz karta dań jest anglojęzyczna. Ogólnie jest to miejsce bardziej nastawione na „tapas” wiec odradzam osobom które chcą się porządnie najeść, bo porcje są bardzo skromne. Pyszne ale skromne.

Fuimos y había 4 mesas con reserva. Nos dijeron que si pasados 15 minutos no se presentaban, la reserva se caía. Volvimos tras 20 minutos y, habiendo 2 mesas libres con "reserva" prácticamente fuimos echados.

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, ohne Frage. Die Bedienung war auch sehr nett...bis zur Rechnung. Dort stellten wir dann fest, dass Dinge darauf standen, die wir gar nicht bestellt hatten. Zunächst war es aber kein Problem, dies zu ändern. Als ich dann aber mein Rückgeld zählte, wurde auch hier wieder zu wenig zurück gegeben. Offensichtlich besteht dieser Laden darauf, mehr als 10% Trinkgeld zu erhalten....

We had a selection of great tapas including salt cod, baked cheese, spicy prawns, and garlic octopus - everything was delicious. Nice ambience in restaurant, the waitresses were very helpful. We hadn't made a reservation but they still gave us a table. Highly recommend.

Had a dinner in my last day in Portugal and it was the best meal I’ve had in this holiday. Food here was incredible, especially octopus & bean stew and pig cheek in red wine were seriously good. All the dishes were literally straight out from the kitchen and the temperatures of the food was excellent! Staff is also very attentive and kind. Food is reasonably priced and I was shocked when I saw the bill. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

Found this place totally by accident after coming into Faro late. The first night was so good we came back when they opened again a few days later (we went before Christmas and then came again after). Would recommend the black pork and the octopus in particular. The service on the first night was absolutely fantastic, but was slow just after Christmas (took an hour to get our first plates). However, once it came it was worth the wait (I think it was due to the holidays), so would 100% recommend. If I'm in Faro again, I will definitely be coming back!

A comida e muito, mesmo muito boa a bom preço, mas o atendimento é muito, muito demorado, um único funcionário para atender as mesas e muito lento. Fiquei 15 mint para receber o cardápio, veio tirar os pedidos depois de mais 15min. Para a comida sair sa cozinha foram 30min, e quando saio da cozinha ficou as esfriar mais 5mim.
Por que contei o tempo??
Por que já estava com fome quando lá cheguei as 13:20h.
Os pedidos foram? Bochechas ao vinho e arroz de tomates ( delícia) e carne de panela e batatas salteadas ( muito bom) foram comida que já estava prontas serai só empratar e demorou muito.

11시반 오픈시간 맞춰서 도착. 5분쯤 늦게 열렸으나 맛있었으니 괜찮.
포르투갈식 오리밥, 문어 &레몬 고수 마늘, 양송이 &아스파라거스, 토마토샐러드 다 먹을만!!
포르투갈식 오리밥은 호불호가 갈릴수 있겠으나 갠적으로는 빠에에야보다 괜츈.
문어요리는 마늘이 1개 들어있던 게 아쉬움.

한국인이 별로 오지 않는 파로라 그런지 다 같은 식당을 추천받아 가더라구요. 크리스마스 연휴라 그 식당이 문 닫아서 어디갈까하다가 우연히 가게 앞에 서서 서치해보다가 리뷰보니 평점이 괜찮아서 들어왔습니다.
6시반쯤 가니 대부분 테이블이 예약되어있었고 예약을 안했다하니 20분 정도 기다리면 자리 마련해준다고 해서 기다렸다가 들어갔습니다.
포르투갈식 오리밥 리스본에서 먹어보고 괜찮아서 시켜봤는데 여기가 더 맛있었고 문어는 레몬과 마늘, 고수가 들어간 것으로 시켰는데 전 고수 좋아해서 정말 너무 맛있었습니다. Local clams는 그냥 똑같은 양념이었습니다. 문어가 더 맛있었어요!
파로 4박하면서 첫날 가보고 마지막날도 갔는데 마지막날 먹은 baked octopus 보다는 고수 좋아하시면 과감히 octopus with lemon, garlic, and coriander 추천 드립니다! 아 그리고 닭똥집도 맛있었어요 ㅋㅋ chicken gizzard. 확실히 리스본에 비해 가격도 저렴하고 가게 분위기도 괜찮고 직원도 친절해요! 추천합니다~~!

La noche ha acabado mal, despues de 1 hira y 30 minutos le pregunto a la camarera se tardaria aun mucho porque habia 2 mesas despues de nosotros y ya empezaban a comer y me contestan que qué habiamos pedido ♀️ se ha ido al ordenador no se a qué y le he dicho que ya no puda nada pirque nos ibamos...desastreeeeee!!!!!!en mayuscula, lo peor de lo peor!!!!!! Me and my girlfriend visit Faro for Holiday, her friend recommended this place to us. We ordered 3 main dishes and finished in about 5 mins. We definitely would come again for another wonderful tasty experience.

Had dinner here with my friends when visiting Faro. We picked the place mostly because it was open at 6:30 - early dinner isn't a thing in Portugal!
The place is quite lovely, with a homely feel and interesting decor. We ordered a variety of things - me and another friend shared a few tapas, whilst the other 2 had main dishes on their own. The great thing about tapas here is that the portions are quite large, especially if you're used to tiny London sizes with extortionate pricing! Interestingly, on the English menu the tapas were called tidbits - never seen that before! They have a good variety of dishes on the menu.
The food was tasty, I especially liked the prawns in brandy sauce, although not so sure about the octopus. My one complaint was about the ice-cream which was served in pots and was very frozen.
Overall a good experience, with decent food, good value and attentive service.

We had a lovely meal here on our last night in Portugal. Attentive staff, fast service, and delicious food made for a good evening.
There’s a good range of Tapas, with plenty of seafood as you’d hope. If that’s not your thing, there’s plenty of other options too.
I’d definitely recommend.

Loved it. Nice little place with a courtyard out back. Everything we had was delicious and we had a lovely meal. Service was good too. Only downside was they'd run out of the suckling pig!

This was our first meal in Faro and it was the best choice ever. Lovely outdoor seating and very fresh seafood. The one rose they had on the menu was also very good! Codfish croquettes are a must and their cheese/sausage board as well. Staff was very nice and accommodating to bigger groups. Right near the main area.

Nous avons connu le restaurant à ses débuts rue de Sao Pedro, nous y allions plusieurs fois par an depuis maintenant 4 ans mais c'était notre première fois dans ce nouveau lieu.
Dès le départ l'accueil réservé par les serveuses était froid, lors de la commande des plats sous forme de tapas nous n'avons aucunement été conseillé comme c'était le cas avant. Je pense notamment au serveur en 2016, lors de notre découverte du restaurant, qui avait fait l'effort de s'asseoir à côté de nous pour nous expliquer chaque plat de la carte et qui avait pris le temps de nous les traduire un par un en nous conseillant ses mets préférés. Je parle d'une époque ou le restaurant comptait 2 serveurs pour 15 couverts.. aujourd'hui le nombre de couverts a explosé tandis qu'il ne reste que 2 serveurs.
Les plats ont changés, je pense notamment à la saucisse de porc qui nous faisions auparavant flamber sur la table nous même, cette dernière arrive aujourd'hui déjà toute faite. A la fin du repas notre table a été débarrassée alors que nous avions bien expliqué qu'il manquait un plat.. au bout de 10 minutes une autre serveuse s'empresse de remettre la table pour nous ramener des morceaux du plat de poulpe commandé.. vraisemblablement des restes..
Le restaurant quant à lui est bien dans son ensemble, un point négatif toutefois pour la terrasse intérieure sur laquelle nous avons mangé avec un bruit de climatisation particulièrement dérangeant. Je regrette toutefois l'ancienne cuisine du premier restaurant où nous pouvions voir le chef cuisiner sous nos yeux.
Ce restaurant a selon moi fait le choix de la quantité et du profit au préjudice de la qualité et de l'authenticité.. je serais presque tenté de dire que ce restaurant a perdu son âme.

Les serveuses sont très gentilles et souriantes. Les plats proposés sont faits maison et de qualité. Les desserts sont excellents. Je vous recommande le dessert "Le Nord au Sud"

Food is very tasty and at reasonable prices. Dinner for two with a starter and glass of wine is around 40 euro. Codfish cake is absolutely amazing. One should also try Migas. Staff is friendly, speaks languages with no problem.

The place prides itself on cooking your food slowly so be prepared to wait 45 minutes for your main dish. It shouldn't be the case with the starters so those should be served within 15 minutes. I ordered fish pathe and goat cheese while I was expecting my main dish. Waitresses were overwhelmed because it was a busy time but this should be a consideration of the establishment to have enough people depending on the number of customers. Once you get over that, the fish pathe was very tasty and it was served with cilantro and small pieces of toasted bread. The goat cheese was good with olive oil and oregano and not an overpowering flavor, probably a dish to share among 2 people. The octopus with sweet potato puree (main dish) was seasoned with garlic, cilantro and laurel. Very tender and not too strong flavor. Overall a great experience

Δεν εχουν σαλατες στο μενου!!! Και ουτε αναψυκτικα!! Ζητησαμε σαλατα και μας εφερε μια μαρουλοσαλατα, η μοναδικη που εχουν, σε μικρο μπολ την οποια την σερβίρουν ως συνοδευτικο!! Παραγγειλαμε ριζοτο με παπια και παπια δεν ειδαμε..!!
Οι μεριδες ειναι περιορισμενες!
Η σερβιτορα πολυ ψυχρη και ειρωνικη , καθολου εξυπηρετικη. Οι τιμες λιγο τσιμπημενες για αυτο που δινουν. Δεν αξιζει.

A true little gem tucked away in a tiny street, next to a different and more noticeable restaurant. But make sure to try Portas de São Pedro! They serve slow-cooked Portuguese food and have a great assortment of tapas. Two of these make a good dinner, but there are also mains. Overall a great menu: enough choice of everything, but not too many options to be unconvincing. By all means try the lemon mousse dessert!
The staff is super friendly and they will help you pick the right wine too. In less than a week we became regulars and even got a taxi to the airport straight from here :)

Cliente da ocasião mas até então com uma boa opinião. Razão esta, para convidar a família. No entanto fiquei a saber que famílias com número superior a 10 não são autorizadas a fazer reserva!! 10adultos e 3 crianças, por favor procurem outro lugar!
A impossibilidade de não poderem garantir um serviço de qualidade, não é para mim resposta válida.
Têm somente 10 lugares sentados, ou com casa cheia poderão ser mais de 50?! Garantem ou não o bom serviço a toda uma sala?!

Lekker gegeten.
Genoeg vegetarische opties, maar ook veel opties met verse vis.
Het personeel kwam nogal chaotisch en gestrest over. Hierdoor waren ze niet echt efficiënt.
Brood vooraf was nogal droog, maar verder prima.
De Sangria was lekker.

Pésimo...fuimos poque se nos indicó que tenían platos sin gluten, y todo lo contrario, nos trajeron pollo con espaguetis, cuando dijimos que eramos dos celíacos, lo que hicieron fue tirar los espaguetis, y servirnps el resto de la comida...no conocen que por trsnsferencia también nos pinemos mal. Muy poco conocimiento en cocina de la intolerancia . Para nada recomendable, los niños se fueron sin comer, un filete sin paratas, pq no tenian. Y otra cosa más, esperas para comer muchísimo, cuando no había gente. No lo recomiendo para nada.

Bardzo dobre jedzenie. Porcje są nieduże, jak i ceny. Co do wielkości porcji, to taką informację otrzymujemy od pracownika. Uwazam ze pomysl jest trafiony w 10:) ! Dzięki temu w cenie normalnego dania mozemy spróbować przynajmniej dwoch różnych dań. Zapiekany dorsz z rozmarynem jest fantastyczny, tak jak oamiornice i makrela. Polecam:)!

Wow, just wow. Tapas was one of the best I have had. Great combos and very tasty. Wide range of food and desserts. Place is very nice, simple but it fits. Service was really great. Wide range of local craft beers and wines. Sound of pig announcing that the order is ready was great. I can only recommend this place when in Faro. Better to call and reserve table in advance.

Fabulous food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
We slightly stumbled upon Portas De Sao Pedro, but noticing it was busy with smiling customers, asked if we could get a table. They managed to fit us in, but would recommend booking.
The food is tapas style so make your choice based on sharing, but leave room for dessert.

Perfect experience. The food was just delicious, it is a great place to share and try different dishes. I totally loved the philosophy: "relax and wait for your slowly-cooked food", and I appreciated so much a place where you can hide from the "English oriented" food that has overtaken all these beautiful villages in Portugal. Found this place on tripadvisor, went there and all the tables were pre-booked. They were nice to us and kindly offered a table.
Before arriving in Faro we were in all the major cities in the south Spain and tried the top restaurants there, we ate the best food overall in our trip in this place. Thank you.

Nice place, wine recommended by the staff was very good, but unfortunately the puffed garlic that came with the octopus was uncooked and this caused a little stomach ache. However, the octopus itself was nice. We would have rated this restaurant higher when the dishes came not all at once, so that we could have enjoyed our dinner for a longer time. We had expected more, based on earlier reviews and the 'restaurant rules'. I think the idea is nice, the staff is nice, but the performance can be done better than we experienced!

This restaurant serves authetic regional tapas-style dishes that are meant to be shared. All the food we had was outstanding, the waiters were great and the restaurant was quaint and charming, but what really stood out to me was the "black pork". It should be a crime to leave the Portas de São Pedro without trying it. I would easily recommend this restaurant for groups of adult travelers, maybe not ideal for families with kids.

Don't let the plastic covered tables fool you - this place is awesome!
Wonderful Portuguese style food - mackerel with lemon was so delicious I could have licked the plate! Ordered it both times I was there.
Staff is very friendly and the cooks in the open kitchen join in on the laughs from time to time. My regards to the pig on the counter
Definitely make a reservation for dinner, otherwise you'll walk away from the door like oh so many others!

Place to be!
Regional, portugese food. We tried different tapas, all of the have been delicious. You shouldn't be in a hurry (preparation takes some time), but it's definitely worth it.

Espacio reducido, ir a primera hora (como en la mayoría). Algo escaso pero exquisito pulpo. El queso con manzana muy bueno, nos sorprendió.

Très bonne nourriture, cependant il y a plusieurs points faibles. Les quantités sont très petites, il faut commander alors deux fois la dose prescrite pour pouvoir avoir un minimum à manger. Si vous mangez tour seul ça vous revient presque à 30 euros ce qui est hors de prix pour des 'tapas', surtout au Portugal. De plus, nous avions réservé mais le serveur nous annonce trop tard qu'il n'a plus la plupart des plats. Ne venez pas à 21h30, c'est le dernier service et la bonne attitude des serveurs et cuistos semblent partir au fur et à mesure que le temps passe... A tester si vous n'avez pas faim.

Una joya gastronómica en Faro, sin dudarlo. Los platos se hacen al momento en una cocina vista y son originales y exquisitos. El local es también original y encantador. Los precios son más que razonables y el personal ha sido más que agradable. Volveremos sin dudarlo cada vez que vengamos a Faro. Recomiendo la carne con cebollitas, el pulpo a la brasa con batata, las setas shiitake plateadas y la tomatada con huevo. De postre, Mil y una noches (tamarindo, canela, pistachos) y helado de algarrobo y almendra tostada.
Es para ir sin prisa y la carta lo avisa con humor y ternura.
Maravilloso.

Sehr kleines Restaurant am besten reservieren aber dafür sehr gutes Essen und sehr freundliche Bedienung.....Mein Favorit Nachspeise Himbeer Eis mit Schoko muffin sehr lecker
