Leuk restaurant in een mooi oud theater. Een fijne avond met live fado muziek. Een tafeltje op het balkon was zo leuk. De Portugese steak was heerlijk. En zowaar een leuke vlotte propper.

Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent entertainment. We were looking for a traditional night of Portugese food and music and weren't disappointed. It was our best night in Albuferia. Highly recommend!!!

De passage en vacances, on nous a conseillé ce restaurant pour écouter du fado.
Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une table alors que nous avions pas réservés. Il y avait du monde. La salle est grande, au décor d'antan, un peu bruyant, mais une cataplane pour 2 délicieuse, et du fado en prime, et un petit porto offert en fin de repas ... très bien. Nous avons payé par CB. prix correct et plat frais.

Ok the service is so so, but the food is the best I've tried in Albufeira. They do live local music on Wednesdays also which is great entertainment but not too loud either. Great kids menu also. World highly recommend.

Lovely Monday evening dinner at the Atrium Restaurant.
We went out with a couple of friends to celebrate a birthday and stumbled across this restaurant.
On the coldish Monday autumn night, surprisingly we found the restaurant 65% full. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was great and the staff were attentive, but gave us enough space to relax and enjoy the evening (nothing more annoying than when you're in a restaurant and have all the staff asking if everything is good, or how the meal is...)
This restaurant also offers Fado nights, which we hope to go back to and enjoy!.

We ate at this place 2 weeks ago and it was lovely. The setting in an old theatre was gorgeous and the meal accompanied by Fado a beautiful experience. The cataplana was really gorgeous and the service friendly and timely. The cost worked out at €30 per person which isn't extortionate for good food and wine, ambiance and music. I would definitely recommend this place!

The worst meal I've ever had was in this horrible restaurant. Disaster. Many people said to me that this restaurant is not good and has bad food. They we're totally right. Never ever in my life come back to this restaurant.

Heb hier tussen de middag gegeten, het zag er leuk uit van buiten, het gerecht werd geserveerd met fietsjes; ik heb in mijn leven al heel wat frietjes op; maar deze waren echt het slechts uit mijn hele leven. Half gebakken, slap en mega vet. Kies iets zonder friet; dat kunnen ze er namelijk niet bakken

Malheureusement très négative avec une note exorbitante 40% plus chère que prévue initialement : demande d'explications , le gérant a baissé finalement de 6 euros mais le montant total reste cependant bien supérieur au prix annoncé. Une attente interminable en prime.
Le bouquet final : un paiement en espèce obligatoire.
A fuir, tout simplement.

Un restaurant qui n'a pignon sur rue au premiers abord, mais une fois rentré, tout ce passe à l'étage. Un personnel courtois et des plats typique excellent et à bon prix. Le seul petit reproche que je pourrais faire et celui des petits "complètement" tel les olives, pâtés, ect... Que l'on vous apporte et qui sont en fait facturé...
Le reste rien à redire, n'hésitez pas

Absolutely fabulous. We came across this lovely find whilst out on a very quiet Sunday evening in January. We were welcomed in to this former theatre (lovely aesthetically also) by the owner Kim and his team. We ordered a selection of local dishes and all were equally excellent and incredible value for money. Starters, 5 mains, drinks and 2 bottles of excellent quality wine came to £95!! Well worth a try

What an absolutely beautiful building, an old opera house/ theater now a restaurant, fabulous waiting staff, and the food is very tasty and well presented we sat on the balcony which was lovely there was also a Fado singer very entertaining I would recommend that you go

Mittagsmenü für 5,50€.
Naja, Plastikstreifen in den Oliven, Schweine Filet bestellt, Kotelett bekommen, davon eins von gestern und eins halb durch. Beilagen von zwei essen vertauscht, diese mussten wir selbst austauschen. Alles in allem nicht so zu empfehlen. Flasche Wasser still 3,50€ zur Info.

Possible the worst restaurant I visited in albufeira, we went at lunch time (they have a lunch special for 5.50) we ordered grilled sardines and fried sole and 2 fantas. We got 2 sardines (everywhere else you get 4 for 6.50) they gave us bread and olives and butter which we didn't ask for so we assumed it was complimentary. When I asked for the bill I was charged 7 euros for the bread and the stuff I didn't ask for.the food was not fresh either. Totally would avoid this place if you are visiting albufeira

Gorgeous theatre. Mediocre restaurant, most waitors friendly bar one very rude waitor. Toilet facilities unhygienic, no soap, dirty, used towel. OK every 7 years for good Fado. Pepper steak tasty, no sure why they ask how it must be cooked, so thin it was overcooked. Fish catalana was not great, mushy seafood.

If you wanna ruin a beautiful evening you definitely should go there.
Invited by a person in front of the restaurant we went in and took our place at the table. Atmosphere was very good. We decided to order some starter, sangria and and dessert. Then the waiter start yelling at us that we HAVE TO ORDER A TRUE MEAL IF WE WANT TO STAY and he just went to the other tables. That was the most disgracing situation in my life. We Just stood up from our tables and went to the bar. We’ve been informed there that it’s a Music evening and we should order a dinner but a restaurant boss decided that we can stay. Once again - owner decided we can stay in. Is that a mob place or something?
I understand that everyone could have a bad day and business is business but you should clearly inform your guests about rules at the door. Especially about the rules that makes you only the oldest in a town.
Btw - waiter with attitude like that should be just fired.

Lugar lindo!! Era um teatro e hoje nos palcos tem apresentações de fado. A comida é maravilhosa!!! Alguns funcionários são brasileiros incluido as cozinheiras por isso FOI A MELHOR COMIDA QUE COMI EM ALBUFEIRA. Super RECOMENDO!!!

Seule endroit où ont n'a entendu du fado de l'attente pour la table ont as du laisser notre nom et revenir très bonne chanteuse, nous avons prix un plat typique très copieux et bon sa manquer un peut piquant pour relever la sauce, on sent sort avec 39euro c'est raisonnable sachant qu'il avait également une bière un Fanta et un café le décor y était les serveur sympathique je recommande

Lo interesante de este lugar radica no sólo en la comida y en el encanto de su decoración que te traslada a otra época, sino también en sus actuaciones de fado en directo mientras cenas. Recomiendo vivir esta experiencia.

Absolutely 1st class, the menu had great choice, my lady salmon with salad & I the mixed kebab, both were excellent. Totally recommend. The setting of an old theatre is excellent & if your fortunate enough to get a window seat it is quite a beautiful experience. All the staff are just perfect

Ein großartiges Restaurant mit einer sehr angenehmen Atmosphäre. Diese wird unterstützt durch eine geschmackvolle Gestaltung des Raumes und einer musikalischen Unterstützung mit Life Musik. Der Abstand zu den Musikern ist groß genug, um sich beim Essen ungestört unterhalten zu können.
Die Bedienung ist sehr professionell. Wir waren im Juni 2019 drei mal dort und immer hatten die Kellner alles im Griff: Zügige Bedienung, freundlich zugewandt, humorvoll und aufmerksam - auch bei der Bezahlung.
Das Essen (wir hatten meist Fisch in allen Variationen nach portugiesischer Art) war jedes Mal von ausgezeichneter Qualität. Dieses Lokal ist sehr empfehlenswert, für Freunde dezenter Musikuntermalung ein "MUSS" in Albufeira.

I had high expectations of this place. Authentic Portuguese food in an old building in the old town of Albufeira. For about the first 5 minutes service seemed okay, but it became apparent pretty quickly that the waiters seemed to struggle to focus on who they were serving and when they were supposed to serve them. Two tables were seated at both sides of us and were served a lot quicker than our table of four. These tables were served with the same food as us, so it wasn't that we'd ordered anything unusual. Even after an hour of waiting before really starting to complain, we still waited another 20 minutes or so to be served all of our food. On another note, toilets were without soap or a useable towel. On the plus side the place itself was nice and there was an authentic Portuguese band playing that added a nice touch. Believe me I'm not normally someone who complains (read my other reviews) but this fell way short of the mark!

Ate here this evening, I ordered roast leg of lamb, what came was a few slices of over cooked lamb slices swimming in gravy, I don't eat gravy at all and told the staff, they insisted that was how it was served in Portugal. They took my meal back to the kitchen and washed the gravy off leaving the gravy on the chips and veg, I left the meal and complained once again to the manager he just shrugged his shoulders and removed my plate. We were a party of 3 and were put on a table only big enough for 2 despite the restaurant being less than half full, subsequent customers in pairs were given latrge tables for 4. On exiting, the man outside who was drawing people in asked how the meal was, I said inedible, he was very rude and said my English tastes weren't used to the great flavours of Portugal.

I was going to give this restaurant a higher review, but the actions and comments of the staff have earned the one star.
My mother ordered leg of lamb. What came instead was tough slices of lamb in gravy - something you might get in a microwave meal from Asda. Disappointing anyway, but made worse because she doesn't like gravy. Rather than apologies and offer her something else the waiter proceeded to argue with her "that that's how it's done". That may be, but the menu didn't say gravy and it bared no resemblance to a leg of lamb anyway.
They then proceed to wash the gravy off the slices of lamb bit keep the same chips and veg which were covered in it.
The worst part was when we left - the guy outside who pulls people in asked my mother about her food - she replied she didn't like it. His response was a rude comment about how "this is proper Portuguese, not horrible English food". For one thing, we're not English, but even if we were such a rude comment to an honest answer from a customer has ensured we'll never go back, despite me and my father enjoying our meals.
Another thing:
The table they seated 3 of us at was tiny and meant for 2, this is despite the resurant being half empty. They put my cataplana on a small stool next to the table and then told me off when I tried to surve myself a 2nd serving incase the dish fell over - had to make sure no staff were around when I wanted to help myself to the last of it.
I don't suggest anyone go here. You can get better Portuguese food for cheaper and with nicer staff lots of other places.

Do not recommend the restaurant, a charming place if you like dead flies on lamp above table. All was well to begin with if you can tolerate a slightly lecherous waiter who turned out to be the manager. Ordered wine and food and all seemed well. The wine came wrapped in a towel. Being of a trustworthy disposition we accepted the wine. But after pouring another glass discovered that the wine wasn't what was ordered.
So asked politely for wine list for reference, the bottle turned out to be the most expensive on the wine list. The manger then politely admitted his mistake. When I informed the manager I would gladly pay the price of the bottle I ordered but wasn't paying €40 for a bottle of low grade prosecco. He then proceeded to curse us in Portuguese while storming around the restaurant in the style of Basil Faulty.
The food then came and was poor to mediocre to say the least. Do yourself a favour and carry on walking past this place.

Found this place by accident, looked inviting and the menu looked OK.
We wer brought bread and olives which one's didn't order, so told the waiter we didn't want them.
We then ordered the cataplana wishing to experience traditional Portuguese food, the menu stated we had a choice of chips/ potatoes and vegetables or sale.
The food arrived with a bowl of rice and no signs of anything else.
OK, that's the Portuguese food, not a problem......the prob was with the wine we ordered, we asked for a bottle of sweet sparking wine, it arrived, the owner poured it for us and left us to it, we hadn't realised until tasting it that it was a bottle of very dry prosecco which was actually €10 more expensive.
We called the owner over to question this, he blatently lied to us, saying he hadn't realised, if we hadn't said anything we would have been charged for it.
The customer service leaves a lot to be desired, would never eat here again.

Aldri opplevd så dårlig mat noe sted. Grønnsaksuppe burde hete "potet- og purresuppe", og steak på portoguisisk vis var så seig at vi fikk dype groper I fingeren av å presse kniven en. Klarte ikke tygge kjøttet istykker, så ble fort mett... Etter denne opplevelsen er alle andre spisesteder en skikkelig opptur.

We happened upon Restaurante Atrium when looking for an authentic Portuguese dinner. It was Fado night, which, means that there was Portuguese folk music live. The decor was fabulous. The entry in was great. The customer service was terrible, excepting the host. The waiter answered no questions we had from the menu and gave no options as to how we would like our food. Though the food itself was good, it was not what we were looking for. The 14yo girl we had with us ordered chicken and she was given no choice as to the sides. We also were given no choices, though the menu stated that there were choices. The waiter made us ladies very uncomfortable. Furthermore, we waited over 30 minutes for our bill to come after we finished our meal. We asked twice for the bill - once after 20 minutes and again after 25 minutes. At 30 minutes with no response, we all got up and went to the door. We finally received our bill with charges all over it of items we did not order. For example, they charged for the children's soft drink that was included in a child's meal. They charged for BBQ sauce that was offered to the 14yo, with no indication that there would be a charge. They even charged for the live music and acted surprised that nobody had told us there would be a charge. There was nothing on the menu or on the signs outside that indicated any charge would be added for the music.
We will never go again and absolutely do not recommend this restaurant. They were very sly and dishonest.

Very friendly and attentive staff, excellent food and service. A lovely location in the old town, just off the square. Thoughly recommend and very reasonable priced. Will definitely be going back. Also must mention George who was greeting customers for his charm and good humour.

Pretentious, the usual thing they bring you things you haven't ordered and then charge you for them. I stopped them with the bread and olives, however they still bought me chips with a lasagna, got to admire their persistence

Juste excellente cuisine, accueil super, nous avons eu la chance d avoir du fado la 1ere fois et on y est retourné 3 fois après pour goûter un max de plats!!!! Rien à redire qualité présente à chaque fois et prix très raisonnables. Je recommande vivement.

The food is Ok but be careful: there is no information given that you have to pay for the entertainment (live music, for example Fado).They restaurant attract many tourists with low prices at the menu card in the entrance, but the real prices are a bit higher. That is not fair.

Essen war ok und die Portion sehr groß...allerdings mussten wir fast 1.5 Std warten bis unsere Gerichte da waren, obwohl das Restaurant nicht sehr voll war. Die Bedienung teilweise überfordert. Es gab leider keine Getränkekarte (außer für Wein), so dass man sich überraschen lassen musste, was einen preislich erwartet.

Went there to enjoy Fado music, which I loved. Unfortunatelly they employ a very rude and arogant waiter, who got upset as I further ordered with another waiter who asked me if I had chosen. The other one started to yell at ME! ...like what did I dare! The starter of avocado and prawns was nice, but avocado had grey bits. The main dish served traditionally was too smelly of sea and tasteless. But I loved the almond cake desert!!!! For 35€ I would expect better, no wonder they need to have that "call-boy" on street. Oh, and they charched me for couvert which I did not touch as it was paté in a conserv!!!!!!

Pésima atención, el camarero (encargado) es un prepotente mal educado que no tiene idea alguna de trato al público.
No más sentarnos comenzaron las ofensas, y duraron toda la cena.
La comida es de pésima calidad. Pedimos la Cataplana con Rape y reclamamos que el pescado que nos habían servido no era Rape a lo que el "particular" encargado respondió buscado en la cocina una etiqueta de un pescado congelado importado de Brasil.
En definitiva pésima atención y comida de muy mala calidad...
Nada recomendable...

Loved this place. Friendly, cheerful staff. Lovely setting/ decor. Made my birthday really special and food was great value and tasty. Go on a night when they have entertainment or squash yourself into the little balcony tables and people watch.

Beautiful starter of garlic prawns, the Seabass main was pretty average. Nice looking restaurant in good location. Would I eat there again? Hmm maybe.
