Zoals altijd weer heerlijk gegeten bij ons bekende restaurant O Veleiro. Zeebaars, tonijn en zeker de Cataplana was weer verrukkelijk Kan niet wachten om daar weer te gaan eten! en zeker omdat je denkt dat je bij je familie aanschuift

We were told about this little restaurant by a chap in the jacuzzi, so we thought we would give it a go glad we did as the food was lush, lovely atmosphere, we weren't rushed with our meals which was good my partner had the couvert soup to start followed by the mixed meat kebab and a large beer, I had prawn cocktail followed by the mixed meat kebab absolutely delicious, well worth a visit we will be going back before we go home

Food, service and price were all great. Popped in here on a recommendation from a friend. I had steak with chips and egg for 7 euro, cheap and cheerful.
The place is small, busy and high paced due to the tourist menu they do. 3 courses for 10.50.
Good little find.

Kleines, niedliches Restaurant mit sehr leckeren Essen. Gegrilltes Thunfischsteake für grad mal 10€. Große Portion zum mehr als satt werden. Etwas störend sind die Autos, die in der kleinen Gasse rum fahren... Ansonsten top einheimisch, ausprobieren gehen!!!

Les plats étaient bons et très peu chers. Par contre le restaurant est trop exiguë. On est un peu les uns sur les autres. De plus, le personnel n'est pas très accueillant. On a l'impression qu'ils attendent qu'une seule chose c'est qu'on libère la table pour que d'autres puissent l'occuper. C'est vraiment à la chaîne.

Comida tradicional muy rica a buen precio. Entrante para dos + principal individual + 2 bebidas + postre y café 17€/persona. El pulpo a la brasa especialmente recomendable. Buenos postres caseros. Para mejorar: la distribución de mesas, muy apretadas y con poco espacio entre comensales. Muy recomendable

Dreckige Gläser, Steak wir zäh wie ein Lederlappen. Auch wenn die Preise sehr günstig sind dort, bringt es nichts dort zu speisen. Ich habe mein Fleisch nach wenigen bissen an die Katzen verfüttert, welche beim Essen permanent um einen herraum kriechen und betteln.

Authentic local cuisine from a Portuguese kitchen located in old town. Possibly the best grilled octopus in the world for 10€ we also had the grilled sea bass just perfect with salad and seasonal vegetables 9.€ our new favourite lunch time restaurant.

La comida más mala que he comido en un restaurante ( por decir algo). Los calamares de bolsas congelados ( de estos que viene harina y masa de relleno ) la carne de pollo que tanta fama tienen en Portugal, muy fina de grueso, quemada é insípida. De pescado frito, un empanado parecía de merluza ó algo asi. En definitiva, comida de bolsa congelada. Hasta las patatas fritas de acompañamiento eran congeladas. No se merece el nombre de restaurante y menos cerca del mar. En definitiva....muyyyyy malo.

Lovely restaurant, very cosy. We ate in few different places but so far my favourite in old town of Albufeira, the food is fantastic. They have a tourist meal deal for £11 with bread/olives/butter served with soup, then a wide choice of main course, dessert, half a wine and coffee a real bargain for such a delicious food. We had the seafood rice from a la carte and it was very generous and tasty. We defo recommend it.

E' un locale molto rustico, molto carino vicino al mare. Pochi tavoli al coperto e alcuni fuori anche se sono tutti attaccati. Ne vale la pensa fermarsi qui perchè si mangia benissimo e si spende poco. Abbiamo preso del pesce grigliato con il menù del giorno a 10 euro a persona.

Amazing, authentic sea food at reasonable price. We paid 10 euros for octopus and squid which was the best price in the area. The staff is very friendly, they also have very nice tourist meal deal outside of the season. Highly recommended.

Petit restaurant à l'entrée de la rue principale de Albufeira, mais qui vaut la peine de s'y arrêter.
Plusieurs menus au choix et à la carte.
La patronne vous accueille dans la rue et vous invite à découvrir ses différents menus.
La cuisine est de qualité et bien préparée.
Le seul inconvénient c'est que l'espace est restreint.
Les prix sont raisonnables pour l'endroit.
Acceptent les cartes bancaires.

Se venite qui non vi aspettate un ristorante grande, il posto è ristretto ( per pochi ma buoni).. ma quello che assaporerete è davvero un buonissimo pesce fresco!! Qualità prezzo più che ottima dato i vari ristoranti provati in giro per la zona.. Sono un pescatore e amo essere trattato da tale.. in 7 giorni di vacanza ho mangiato qui 6 volte.. L'unica parola da dire.. ECCEZIONALE!!!

Los calamares de bolsa congelados, la catalana de rape en realidad es de chirlas porque rape 4 cachitos pequeños y secos.
Te crees que es un sitio típico pero es para turistas confiados,
Y el sitio es pequeño y te ponen pegado a otros clientes y es un rollo.
Nada recomendable, lo siento por ellos que son muy amables pero voy a comer.

Il locale piccolo e con tutti i tavoli vicini è l'unica cosa positiva che ho notato oltre alla gentilezza di un ragazzo al servizio. Le signore al servizio per nulla gentili, pesce discreto, patatine fritte molli e calamari senza alcun sapore.
Nota positiva la zuppa di antipasto.
Non mi sento di consigliare questo locale.

Très bon et pas cher, la morue a la sauce a l'oignon est super et le vin blanc à 6€10 arrache la tête ! Tout ce qu'on aime ! 42€ pour une entrée deux plats une bouteille et 2 apéritifs. Le personnel parle français et ils sont suuuuuuuper cool ! Attachants au possible, je recommande ce restaurant ! Attendez vous cependant à manger à côté d'autres personnes, dites vous que ca fait partie du cadre.

Es un pequeño restaurante local que tiene toda la variedad de comidas típicas, bebidas y postres. Se puede ver como todo lo que cocinan es fresco.
La comida estuvo deliciosa, es un arroz con mariscos para dos personas pero que podrían haber comido 3. Nunca comí uno tan sabroso y con tanta variedad de mariscos! Sin dudas volvería, excelente

I really wanted to rate this place higher than this, but even 3 stars is a lot. We went to O Veleiro because of the reviews it has on Google and we really wanted to eat at a family owned restaurant. The setting is a little sad, a little unkempt to say the least. One of the table rows was set in front of a door. People that lived in that building were coming out of that door and forced to jump over the chairs and customers that were eating. The service was fast. No pleasentries, no hi, no bye. And the food was just average. The steak seemed like it had been precooked and reheated. We asked for medium and it was well done.

Leckeres Essen zu günstigen Preisen. Leider hat der Service in den letzten Jahren etwas nachgelassen. Es ist nicht genug Wein kalt gestellt. Wir haben zu 6 gegessen und mussten 3 verschiedene Weine trinken. Am Anfang waren einige Gläser nicht wirklich sauber und es dauerte bis saubere neue Gläser kamen. Alles in allem eine Empfehlung, aber nicht mehr so gut wie vor 2-3 Jahren.

Fui a este sitio por recomendación de mi hermana....Y no me ha defraudado la comida. Pedimos Francesinha y no sabían lo que era. No puede ser..Gracias a la foto pudimos entendernos, luego en la cuenta ponía algo de "Bife". Lo recomiendo, es un filete regado con una salsa y encima un huevo con patatas panaderas crujiente alrededor. Muy bueno. En cuento al sitio, muy estrecho, el bar es muy pequeño, pero claro....estos sitios tienen su encanto.

Sono stato in questo ristorante tempo fa, ma poi è stato inserito nei vari forum la voce "chiuso definitivamente" e non ho potuto recensire.
In ogni caso, porzioni abbondanti, ma qualità abbastanza scarsa.
Servizio lento e poco professionale (a volte anche maleducato).
Non consigliato.

Après avoir regardé les avis positif Google je décide donc de m'arrêter.
On décide de commander du pâté à 2 EUR, on nous sert une mini boîte qui étais déjà à moitier mangé et refermé!
Pour poursuivre nous avons commandé deux morue grillées, qui étais très salé et cramé, a peine mangeable.
Et pour finir, on a étais obligé de demander au serveur 3 fois pour avoir des bières supplémentaire et une bouteille d'eau en plus sur la facture alors qu'on en a pas vu la couleur...
Je ne le recommande pas du tout.

Empezaron por no ponernos ni el pan, ni el paté ni la mantequilla (ni apareció en la cuenta), cuando sí lo pusieron en otras mesas. Pedimos una ensalada como primer plato y pez espada de segundo, y nos trajeron los dos platos a la vez (luego se empeñaron en ponernos un plato a mi pareja y el otro a mí...). Pero lo peor fue que de repente, me viene una de las camareras por detrás, me coge la copa, que estaba en la mesa que teníamos al lado y me la pone junto a mi plato (las mesas eran muy pequeñas), y empieza a movernos la mesa porque venían otros clientes e iban a sentarlos al lado de nosotros... pero todo esto sin decirnos absolutamente nada, no pidieron permiso, ni un "por favor", ni un "gracias". Entiendo que Albufeira sea una localidad muy turística, pero por eso mismo, el trato a los turistas debería ser otro. No todos vamos allí de cachondeo y a emborracharnos, también vamos a descansar y a ver algo diferente, pero si te tratan así de mal, creo que no volveremos por allí.

Prix très accessibles, plusieurs plats copieux pour 6 euros, plutôt bon mais basique !
Les plats avec les fruits de mer sont un peu plus chers mais rien d'exorbitant (une assiette de calamars grillés pour 12 euros).
Points négatifs : donne sur une rue très appréciée des voitures.

We were staying in o veleiro apartment in August last year. And it’s fabulously done up. The only drawback is the entrance is through the cafe seating on the road and it’s just a flight of stairs up. The living dining and a restroom on the first floor and two bedrooms with a separate rest room on the second. The bedrooms have a balcony overlooking the cute town andtrust me but albufeira isn’t a town one should miss. One of the best towns in the algarve. But if stairs aren’t an issue, you should totally go book the apartment

The owner is very friendly, always smile and greet us when we pass by. The food is great and definitely one of the cheapest within 5 mins walk from the Old Town Square. The clams and meat cataplana is full of meat and comes with rice and fries. If you're on a budget, could try their breakfast menu for the egg burger with meat or the tourist menu, €10.50 for starter, main course and a house wine.

Assiette généreuse et gourmande.
À la carte un menu touriste à 10.5€ au très bon rapport qualité prix. En prime les serveurs sont très agréables.

Food was very tasty, I have to admit it. But the service was one of the worst ever. One lady who was serving us looked like she wanted us to leave as soon as possible, not a single smile. We ordered salads to our mains and they forgot them. Also there was on older lady walking around and just taking away stuff from the tables when people didn’t even finish yet... She took our bread away, which we ordered to the fish. She also took someone else’s ketchup and they had to ask for it again. Terribile service.

Rented apartment just 3 min walk from this restaurant so it was first on the way to old town - nut it couldn't be better. Great food, lots of choices on menu, friendly service. They make in house PiriPiri sauce - use with caution - it is flamethrower grade. Highly recommend.

We went to our veleiro on holiday visited it on 2nd March the guy who stands outside getting people to go in is great he sells this Portuguese restaurant to you he's done it for 12 years and the owners regard him as 1 of the family the place its self is very clean and the food is very good they do a tourist menu for 10 euro fifty with 1/2 half a bootle of wine 21euro for a couple try it you will definitely go back as we did cant recommend this place more highly

A lovely typical family run restaurant with authentic Portuguese food. Warm and friendly environment and the fish and vegetables were cooked to perfection.

Friendly service, good food (snack bar - for lunch) - January 2018
Located in Old town not far from the "tunnel" it's in a good location. The lady is very friendly. She was on her own and is waiter, cook, etc. Food is cooked and prepared from scratch so you may be waiting a while but it's fresh. And tasty.

Best swordfish I ever had, big portion for 10 euro. Sensible prices and best quality food for money you paid. I cant see anything wrong couse its simple restaurant with vg food. We are here 2nd time and we will be here for day before flight back. We tried other restaurants in different places and this one is beat for money you can get...

Un soir de réveillon de Noël... Pas grand chose d'ouvert (ça peux se comprendre !). Nous trouvons ce restaurant par hasard.
Accueil très sympathique, nous commençons avec une sangria blanche, puis une cataplana fruit de mer et viande... Excellente.
Prix très raisonnable et surtout pas de prix gonflé car soir de Noël.

Parfois le service peut etre un peu long mais la cuisine est toujours de qualité. Un rapport qualité prix imbattable pour le secteur. Restaurant familial très loin des pièges a touristes.

This restaurant has without question, the best quality food at the cheapest prices anywhere in Albufeira. It is family owned and is open 52 weeks a year. The staff are always very friendly and they have Sagres beer on draught. It can be busy at lunchtime as well as evening, depending on time of year and a lot of locals eat here.

Lovely food , great prices , fab people . It says something when they are just opening there third establishment . Good on you . Today I was craving Sunday lunch , my fav place has shut for refurbished so had lamb stew with fresh veg , hubby had chicken curry , half bottle of wine , magners and apple pie with ice cream and cream 30 euros . They also do a tourist mention , 4 courses 10.50 including wine and a coffee , we can't manage it . Not posh put freshly cooked food no airs and graces , lovely staff .

Un restaurant typiquement portugais
Un menu à 10,5€ avec apéro olive pâté de sardines une soupe (caldo verde) un très bon poulet grillé ai pili-pili ou bifinhas de porco par exemple avec en dessert le pudim (dessert portugais) et café
Nous avons prix un brandy avec le café un verre très bien servi ...
Goûtez arroz de marisco (riz aux fruits de mer) il y a plus de fruits de mer que de riz parfait !!! Et le tout servi dans une casserole pour 4 qui normalement est pour 2 personnes

Ottimo prezzo, con 10.50 euro hai un menu (anche se l'antipasto è insignificante) ma il piatto centrale è piuttosto buono, composto da 5 sardine e contorno abbondante . Incluso nel prezzo anche dessert (nulla di eccezionale), caffè e drink. La location nulla di che, ma un salto lo si può fare.

Casual dining, good value. We had the tourist menu, which is a 4 course meal with a soft drink and a coffee for just over 10€. The portions are good size, starter and mains are good. Limited choice of desserts, smoking allowed inside which isn't great.

Restaurante agradable, buena comida típica del Algarve. Se encuentra un poco apartado de la zona principal de restaurantes, por lo que resulta tranquilo comparado con otros de la zona. Algunos camareros son un poco extraños, pero no parecen peligrosos

No me dio buena impresión por limpieza, nos atendió una mujer que supongo que estaba trabajando en cocina y nos vino a coger nota con las manos sucias oliendo a pescado. Los precios no están mal y la comida estaba buena, los platos eran abundantes en comida.

I came here with my friends, and if I have to be honest we couldn't choose better. Everything was just delicious, and portions was apropriate. Full menu with half bottle of wine a head only 10.50 what is definitely cheaper than in the other places.

Heerlijk, eenvoudig restaurant met zeer vriendelijke bediening en voor onze begrippen erg goedkoop eten. Voor € 35 voor, hoofd en 1 nagerecht. Fles huiswijn en water en 2 koppen koffie. Was erg druk gasten stonden te wachten op een tafeltje. Een echte aanrader.

Tive a oportunidade de almoçar neste estabelecimento e tenho a dizer que, não obstante da simpatia do pessoal, deixa muito a desejar quando a regras básicas de restauração. Sem querer parecer mal educado, julgo que são pouco ou nada profissionais. Nota a positiva quanto à quantidade, porém acaba por ficar caro.
