Lovely location along the boardwalk before you get onto the beach and visit the caves.
We had fresh prawn Caesar salad and it was delicious, very fresh. Service was good and the outdoor seating area for lunch looking out onto the beach was ideal.
Would come again, reasonably priced.

Had lunch here before and it was great. Stopped today for a coffee and pastry on my morning walk. Absolutely fantastic and very cheap.

Paisagem fabulosa e comida deliciosa! Um destino a não perder. Recomendo como snack o Hamburguer à Luis ou em alternativa o caril de camarão! A tomatina e ceviche são de chorar por mais!

Service is extremely slow and we had to ask for a bread basket. Waiters could do with being a little more smiley. The girl working there was polite.
Cutlery and cups were a little dirty, fingerprints on them however the food was faultless.
Absolutely delicious and freshly made food made in a place that doesn't look like much but they really have so much to offer. The unobstructed view of the beach here is gorgeous too!
We ordered the garlic prawns, fish soup , octopus and kids grilled fish - everything was outstanding! The taste and food was exactly made to my expectations! 5 stars for amazing food, if they worked on everything else this place would have better reviews.
I also ordered the tomato soup on a separate date but didn't like that at all.

Fui a um jantar de grupo (festa temática), onde fomos muito bem tratados por todo staff, bastante prestáveis e simpáticos. Comi um magnífico frango com molho de mostarda, batata doce e legumes que estava bastante bom. O preço foi 18euros por pessoa com entradas, café, sobremesa e bebidas. Acho o preço muito bom tendo em conta que todo serviço, que foi também muito bom. Recomendo

Fantastic place to eat and to relax with the whole family. The staff is very friendly, the fish is always fresh and the view is fantastic in the evening (right at the beach). Highly recommended!

O Luis is a beautifully located , warm , friendly restaurant.
The food is delicious too , with a mixture of meat and seafood dishes.

Do not take sandwich. Its a joke. For €6.5 you get a very bad sandwich wich is just bread, melted cheese and small tomato. Its all tasks bad, really bad

Delicious Portuguese cuisine with international flavour. I loved curry prawns in coconut milk, seabass ceviche with a hint of chilli and above all linguini vongole. In most places you'll be given spaghetti and mussels, but here you get a fulplate of vegetables, seasoning, chilli, sauce, extremely good! And the staff is very friendly and very efficient, unlike in many neighbour places.

Impresionante comida y a buen precio. El pescado buenísimo y las hamburguesas también. De postre pedimos tarta de limón, la mejor que he probado. Ya hemos repetido durante nuestra corta estancia aquí.
El servicio es un poco lento pero merece mucho la pena!!!

Saímos da praia ainda nem 18horas eram e quisemos ir beber um café e uma água/gelados para os miúdos, sendo que não demorávamos mais de 10 minutos, mas as mesas estavam todas reservadas já para jantar e não nos quiseram servir.

Chiringuito con buen producto de calidad y bien cocinado. No pusieron pegas por qué llegáramos a las 16.15 para comer, tenían la cocina abierta. Nos atendieron rápido y fueron agradables.
Precio alto comparado con restaurantes del pueblo, los otros chiringuitos tienen precios similares.
Disponen de tornas.

Este restaurante serve comida muito saborosa, bem confeccionada, os funcionários são atenciosos e muito profissionais. A música ao vivo é um prazer acrescido à boa comida que servem. Vista para o mar! Já almoçámos lá várias vezes e fomos sempre bem servidos. Recomendo sem dúvidas.

_Comida mal confecionada.
A imaginacao colocada no nome dos pratos nao tem expressao na sua qualidade.
"Alcatruz" é o nome dado a polvo cozido, congelado, imerso em sumo de laranja! onde ainda se encontra cebola, pimento, alho (mal cozinhados) e batata doce cozida.
"Lulas a algarvia"...lulas semi fritas com 2 batatas cozidas. Salada? Nao.

We've been coming to O Luís for nearly 15 years and never fails to disappoint. The staff are amazing, super friendly and very attentive, the food is great and you won't get better views of the beach. 10/10

we walked in and asked for a table without a booking. The “host” was an old guy that didn’t look too happy about us ( 3 middle eastern men) trying to have dinner at his restaurant. We asked for a window side table but he told us they were all fully booked (even though the place was almost empty and we were the second group to walk in for dinner). We said ok and sat at a middle table. He asked for our drinks order and when I asked for a wine menu he just nodded at me and said ok (altho I think he was planning on just bringing me any wine he thought appropriate rather than bring the menu). Then he looked at my friend who had come in shirtless off the beach and rudely gestured at him to indicate he needs to put a shirt on. I didn’t think too much of that until we noticed that on the only other table occupied in the place, there was another guy who’d been sitting there without a shirt on before we had even arrived. At that point we cancelled our drink order and walked out. Don’t go here unless you wanted to be mistreated by an old racist.

Love this place. Clams are delicate and fresh. The sole is lightly seasoned well cooked. We also like the white wine sangria. The service is good the beach is nice. All arou.d good place!

This place is excellent. Looks like a normal beach cafe, but the food is amazing and presented like a restaurant! Options for all. Friendly attentive staff. One of the best beach meals we had! They also have chairs for babies.

The best lunch we had in Portugal! Beautiful restaurant, great staff and delicious food. I had the taste of summer salad, my husband had the salmon burger and our baby had grilled chicken with veggies. All amazing dishes! An all round great place to eat.

They cheat on the prices of drinks. put two beers on the bill at 20.5 EUR. The correct price is 3.5 EUR. Upright people!

Genial carta, excelente la cataplana de pescado aunque el precio es algo elevado 51 euros el plato para dos, he de decir q comimos 4, dos adultos y dos niños y pagamos 80 euros pero mereció la pena.

Lovely place for dinner, the prawn curry was delicious, service was great. I’d highly recommend them recommending local wine if you haven’t experienced already.. there’s some great wine out here and they were happy to help

The most lowdown service I've ever met in Portugal. We've been thrown away because of a baby pram. Just pitiful.

Investigate your team then and do not waste my time anymore please... but ok this time, shortly - I've been told that either I'll "do something with this" (which means my son sleeping in double pram whilst my daughter was at the table with us) within ten minutes or I'll have to go because we make another table unusable.... Your rude worker (calling that guy a waiter offends this profession) was to rearrange us to more suitable place and not to expel just before a lunch. If my babies are not Guests for you I am not either and I surely won't be trying anymore. Good luck being indolent like that...

Comi Espadarte grelhado, estava formidável. As vistas são optimas o serviço fica um pouco abaixo da comida. O preço é cerca de 15€ -20€ por pessoa.

We had dinner here as a family of 2 adults & 3 kids 7 to 11 years , the service was terrible & the pricing misleading ! Be careful when ordering by the kg ! Poorest value meal experience in Alvor for us over a 3 week period !

Service is very slow, we waited one and half an hour for just bread. Even asking many times our food still did not come after 2 hours. Although the manager apologized afterwards, but still the food is not ready. Other tables who came later even got their food, eventually we left with hungry stomach...
