Sono stato in questo posto con la mia ragazza perché le recensioni parlavano di un posto non male e con cucina tipica. Non si e rivelato tale. Per niente...i camerieri non sono per niente presentabili...mal curati...servizio scadente. Abbiamo ordinato Delle vongole e del tonno alla griglia come antipasto. Porzioni micro e condimento indecente (aglio bruciato e olio di scarsissima qualità nelle vongole, piatto pagato quasi 30 euro). Come secondo una Red snapper alla griglia (non fresco e non grigliato ma alla piastra) e una guancia di maiale non male ma niente di speciale..dico niente di speciale perché il conto finale è stato completamente sproporzionato per la qualità del cibo, per le porzioni ed il servizio ricevuti...da dimenticare...

Lugar a evitar. Fuimos después de leer las reseñas y salimos escarmentado y con la cartera MUCHO más ligera. La simpatía brilla por su ausencia y, teniendo en cuenta que la carta está escrita a mano y en portugués con una caligrafía ilegible, no ponen nada de su parte cuando tratas de entenderla. Te sientan en una mesa y te ponen pan y queso, pero que no os engañen que se ambas cosas se pagan a alto precio. Comimos de entrante unas almejas que solo se salvaban por la calidad del producto, ya que ni cocinarlas supieron. El atún que se suponía que era un entrante, solo sellado por fuera (estilo "sashimi" o eso dijo el camarero) venía frío y en una sopa de aceite y ajo. De los platos principales poco que decir, el pescado seco y las carrilleras con poco sabor y mucha agua en la salsa.

Abbiamo mangiato bene e il proprietario con noi è stato gentile e simpatico. Il locale è abbastanza vecchio e non curato. Il conto decisamente salato. Prima del conto pensavamo di tornare, dopo il conto abbiamo deciso di non farlo.

We came here as last option, as everything else we had planned was fully booked and it was a really poor and expensive experience. The owner show himself rude with the customers (not only with me this evening) for no reason at all. It's not really kid friendly either. At the end, we paid more than in another beachfront restaurants with so much more care for the customer. You should definitely avoid this one.

Eten is goed maar het restaurant is verder niet sfeervol. Bediening is zakelijk.
Prijzen zijn aan de hoge kant.
De aanbevolen wijn goed maar voor portugese begrippen duur.

Excellent place for traditional Portuguese food. You feel in a house of a local with the handwritten menu, the Portuguese cooks and staff. My octopus was the most tender I ever had, the seafood & beans casserole was very good too. Place was jammed so make a reservation before coming.

A comida é saborosa e foi o que nos levou a repetir a ida a este local. Mas o atendimento é péssimo! Desde a falta de educação e a pouca amabilidade do funcionario/dono aos valores exageradamente praticados, não tenciono voltar.

Very nice Portuguese restaurant. There was no map in English but the boss told us what was there. With good wine and good food we had a nice evening and laughed a lot. The fish was 100% fresh and tasty

Um dos melhores restaurantes do Algarve, longe das multidões. Deliciosa e pouco usual a canja de peixe galo, um prato a não perder. Magnífica carta de vinhos. A não perder também o queijo de figo do Algarve flambeado em medronho, fabuloso.

Unser Highlight in Lagos. Bei Pedro und seinem kleinen ausgezeichneten Team zu speisen ist wie nach Hause kommen. Excellentes Essen, hervorragende Weine, schöne Atmosphäre!! Ist seinen Preisen auf jeden Fall gerecht. Wer dort einmal Zeit verbringt, wird immer wieder kommen. Obrigada Pedro & Team. We love you, your wife, your stuff, your food, your wine. Just everything!

Sehr leckeres Essen. Allerdings schon etwas hochpreisiger! Für ein schmales Stück gegrillten Fisch mit einer Kartoffel und etwas Salat - 17€. Allerdings sehr große Auswahl an Fisch/Meeresfrüchten. 100% frisch!

I give this spot five stars because the food and wine are excellent. They told us what the best dishes were and we had them as we could not read the menu. This spot is know for their seared tuna, think taktaki but with olive oil and lemon juice, simple stuff but the freshness of the fish is what shines here. The monkfish rice is sensational, extra soupy and rammed with flavour. We had razor clams as the vongole were all gone, my sone said they were better than the razor clams we had at Murgaritz. Again, done simply in wine, garlic and lemon. If you like wine make sure you talk to the dude, he has an amazing selection. The scoring system on google maps is,it should be out of 20, nothing is perfect but I found my scores up if I think it is worth more than 4, this place is but it is a simple cozy room with only a couple of staff so don't expect any glamour, just brilliant food and wine

Comida exemplar, qualidade fantástica, serviço familiar. No verão, é necessário marcação, recomendo os lombos de atum. A decoração está ultrapassada mas dá uma certa mística à casa.

Best food of our trip! If you don't speak Portuguese, just ask the owner for his recommendation. He will even pick your wine, from the hundreds of bottles he has hidden around the restaurant. A local suggested this place to us and we will for sure be back. We had a very nice wine, 2 mains, a starter salad, and dessert for 70 euro. Would have been 35 euro without the wine. well worth it. Zero complaints about this place.

Four of us came for dinner and there were a couple of tables free that first needed clearing, so we were told to come back in a few minutes. After a walk around the block, we returned to find that both tables had been given to other customers, so we waited at the door to find out if there were any others that were going to become free. The owner, however, ignored us completely and avoided all eye contact despite walking past us several times. In the end, one of the girls, a soft-spoken Chinese girl, approached him in the restaurant and asked if there was a table available and the owner became angry for some reason and literally shooed us out! I am hopeful this was not a racially motivated action but in any case it was utterly disgraceful.

I agree. Hard to find but worth it. I thought my GPS had lost her mind. Excellent, authentic. Hand written menu only in Portuguese had great variety. Proprietor was great. We were the only English speakers. That's a good sign. Huge wine selection if that's your thing. I had whole squid. My wife had grilled prawns. Both excellent and different for us.

Not surprising I'm the first to review this extraordinary restaurant in English since it's so hard to find. Well off the beaten track but easily the best food in the Algarve (where I've been going half a dozen times a year since 1998). Pedro is a genius with loads of traditional Portuguese dishes you never find anywhere else in the Algarve like salt cod souffle (redefines the word 'rich') and seared peppered tuna with lemon - unbelievably good. Monkfish curried stew brilliant too + many more. Phenomenal wine list and ever-friendly advice. We love this place
