Great venue for outdoor dining in Lagos old city and reasonably priced. The food was delicious and the Brits who the place do a really good job. Definitely our list to come back to again and again. We had the pulled pork chimichangas and a beef burrito. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.

Very good service and friendly staff. The food was fresh and tasty. I ordered the fish taco and a bit of the chicken burrito and they were very good. Also the chips are good too. They have a wide selection of beer and tequila. Not the best Mexican food, but the quality for price is good. I like the overall experience.

Great food and ambience on a Saturday night. We were looking for a place to have a couple of drinks and tapas but we ended up eating dinner too. The FAJITAS are amazing!!! A must!

The food was nice and very friendly English staff. The set up was a bit strange as it's not a conventional restaurant you do share tables with other people. For some I'm sure this is fine for me personally and my gf we didn't find it ideal but it wouldn't stop us going again.

More mexi-cali than Mexican, but with fresh ingredients and prepared very well. The house red wine is tasty and at 10 EUR a bottle you can't go wrong. Highly recommended!

Busy restaurant, completely packed on a Thursday night. Food was good, especially the corn chips. We ordered fish tacos, beef burrito, and pork chimichangas and all were pretty dope. Our cocktails were strong and good. Range of hot sauces from sweet to very spicy. The best part of the night was the service. Our server was an English bloke and he was super attentive and kind. Then another guy who works there came out to check on us. This is the kind of place where you either get what you want or they make sure to make it right. Cash only but would def go again.

Place has grown over the last 5 year's. Always good food an a great atmosphere.
Just need to take credit cards. That's the real bummer as would go more often but I understand why they do not accept cards.

The food was amazing! Very chill place to eat, good choice of drinks. Beware as the portions are HUGE! We ordered way too much food and felt bad to waste any because it was soooo good. Only negative thing is that it's cash only, but so are 90% of the places in Lagos.

Delicioso y recomendable pasar por allí. El trato fue muy bueno y atentos. La comida estaba buenísima, recomiendo los nachos. Para chuparse los dedos! Volveré y por eso lo recomiendo sin duda.

Definitely a cool vibe. Love the windows all open the painted art on the walls. I expected too much from the reviews I guess. The snacks, chips and sauce was great. Real corn chips - Yay!! Drinks okay prices and not bad except my husband's beer was warm. Soggy rice and beans , bland meats served at room temperature in a burrito. Not sure where all these other people ate but my experience was pretty disappointing.

Just when I thought I couldn’t love Lagos more, it gave me one of if not Tempe best burrito I’ve ever had. Service is lovely from seems like mostly English surfer bros and beer is great. I wish they had one of these in Galway

Amazing Mexican in a wonderful city. Varied menu with classic dishes. Cold beers and an affordable cocktail menu makes it easy to linger long after lunch. If in town pop in for some food or drinks. Great service and a laid back vibe mean it's ideal for a holiday!!

I didn’t come for food so this might not be a fulsome review but it’s a great place to come for drinks. The staff is friendly, prices are good, and overall ambiance is quite fun and laid back. As far as I’ve experienced, it’s also one of the best bars for craft beers in Lagos if not the best.

Just wasn't what we'd hoped. While the service is great and the cocktails are really top notch the food is not.
It's good food just not Mexican. For both our dishes they were both nearly flovourless which was very disappointing as this place had everything else going for it.
Our burritos just tasted like flovourless veg. Nothing was suited, no salsa, guac, our sour cream was in the burrito.
It sadly was an overall disappointment. But the service and cocktails were great!

We went there during Easter holidays, we ordered some finger food, beer, and a few burritos. All was tasty and fresh, and the servers very friendly. Beware of Jalapenos poppers, these are really spicy ! A good stop when visiting the beautiful city of Lagos.

Busy (so book) local fresh food restaurant. Some food/drink as expected some new ideas as specials. Food served milder so you add heat to taste. 4 cocktails and 2 mains for €50. Good value and def would go back if in Lagos.

Not at all what we expected from the reviews we read.
This was mediocre at very best,my family hated it and have said it is probably their worst ever meal.

So good. So good. Been living with my other half in Alvor for past two years. He's a full on carnivore and I'm vegan and we were both seriously impressed with the place. Cool atmosphere, really nice staff and DELICIOUS FOOD. The guacamole was seriously on point. Will definitely be back. Hope they introduce some vegan cheese/creme fraiche/sour cream to the menu to make it an even more brilliant experience. Top notch

Vegan food is fantastic! It was constantly sold out because of high demand but the burritos and nachos are fabulous. I hope they expand their vegan menu soon!

Lovely place with friendly, welcoming staff. We stayed on for a long time and never felt pressured to leave. One very slight negative was that the food could have been hotter, but nevertheless very tasty. Jalapeño poppers are amazing.

Cuisine très réussie on sent que les chefs cuisto en ont sous le pied, il pourraient faire des choses bien plus fantastiques si ont les laissaient un peu plus réorganiser cette carte assez brouillon. Une cuisine avec des influences pas que Mexicaines parfois d'ailleur, et tant mieux. Si la carte fixe est vite ennuyante, il y a en revanche quelques entrées et desserts du jour que je vous conseille fortement. Les cocktails sont bon car sur la deuxième salle il y'a un bar complet avec un barman, et avec parfois de la musique live, et c'est la que cela se gate la sonorisation est mal géré et les enceintes côté salle à manger casse les oreilles trops souvent, c'est pénible pour dîner.
l'impression de deux restaurant en un. Un qui serait snack, l'autre classieux, dans une même pièce.
Les décalages se poursuivent sur d'autres plans comme le service. Non pas que cela doivent vous empêcher d'y aller dîner mais c'est déroutant, la lecture de la cuisine colle pas avec le service et très peu avec le lieu.
Ce restaurant pourrait bien mieux faire, tout est là pourtant.
On retentera d'y dîner un midi voir la différence. Encore une fois la cuisine est pas mal dutout, l' experience globale est juste un peu déroutante, mais ça fini bien.

Fun place to eat and the burritos are good. They serve craft beers and the atmosphere is relax (not the staff, they seem quite busy). They only accept cash (21th century...).
If it's busy you might have to share your table which can be fun.

Disappointed as it was my birthday meal and was rushed to leave; took order, was served and eaten meal in 20 minutes. service was done to get you to leave. Food not very warm and served in foil. Presentation of the food was poor. Monitor cocktail was lovely.

Mexican food for people who have never actually had authentic Mexican food. (N.B. burritos are not Mexican) Experience was more akin to a TGIFriday's or Hard Rock Cafe TexMex interpretation of 'Mexican'. Cocktails, service, and atmosphere were on point though so if you go in with eyes wide open to what it really is, your expectations will be better aligned.

Treated very poorly by staff! Despite turning up 25 minutes after the kitchen was said to open, we were informed that the kitchen were not ready and we weren't allowed to wait at one of the tables inside or outside. We were advised to go for a walk for 15 minutes and then the waitress made a very rude remark, along the lines of "Do they not get it?! We are NOT ready and they cannot wait here." We were stunned - so rude! Maybe they should amend their opening times to suit when they are actually capable of accepting customers.

Tasty burritos with an excellent range of hot sauces. Staff were really friendly and food came out quickly even though they were quite busy. Atmosphere is really bubbly and of course beachy. Outdoor seating is available.

Really nice place. Different menu than other restaurants (in a very positive way). Food was good (Burritos were wayyyy to much food), the chimichanga’s are amazing. The best of all is the service and the vibe of the people working at the green room. We had so much fun with the waiter and we really didn’t want to leave the place. The cocktails are also very nice! It’s worth your visit (and wait).

Vinimos a tomar el clásico café después de comer... para nuestra sorpresa no les quedaba leche. Entonces con buena predisposición decidimos tomar un zumo a lo que para nuestra incredulidad no les quedaba zumo. Por último les pedimos.. unos Ice Teas.. pero no tenían hielo. En resumen... buena brisa pero sin llegar a saciarnos. Apoyamos el rollo hippylonguis, pero es necesario unos minimos. Lamentable

Restaurant wasn't busy but took 20 minutes to take our order and then an hour for the food to come out. Food wasn't the greatest experience. The veggie burrito was super watery, dripped everywhere. Veggie quesadilla was a bit bland. Not a good experience. Became impatient after an hour of waiting. Poor service.

A great place for dining. One of the few that were open during winter season. Staff were very welcoming and cheerful. The food was delicious and the cocktails were not watered down and made very well. They were open to customizations beyond the menu. Callejeando por Lagos, hemos dado con este restaurante de comida Mexicana, The Green Room, , era el mejor y mas puntuado en TripAdvisor, y ya sabemos porque, abundante cantidad, hemos dejado, y ya es raro, amplia carta, y lo mejor de todo, hasta el más, mínimo detalle de elaboración es casero, incluida las salsas picantes, por cierto, muy variadas y con muy mala leche algunas, un trato muy bueno, incluso se sentaron en nuestra mesa para explicarnos la carta... Un 10 en toda regla...incluida la sangría que apaciguo el picante...

If I could I would marry this place. Its not just a name for them they really make an effort to be almost "zero waste". The take away is in paper bags. The water comes in glass only aaaand they reuse their sauce bottles. Dont get me startef on the food. I came here again when I wasnt even hungry just because I walked by abd couldn't resist. Got myself a Burrito for at home! The jalapeno poppers are lit as well

If you'd like something other than Portuguese food, this Mexican restaurant was a great way to change it up. The servers were friendly, the atmosphere was upbeat, portions were generous and the food was tasty. I'd recommend getting an order of the fish tacos and a burrito to share between two people. Be sure to try the house made hot sauce - not too hot and tons of flavour!

Oh man don’t know where to start at ... food first it’s OUTSTANDING probably the best veggie burrito I ever had!! Starter jalapeños filled with mozzarella with sour cream was also incredible! Let’s not forget about these fabulous people who work here.. they are really good and treat customers fantastic. Take it easy its not the fastest service when its full but it is normal in Southern Europe!

One of the nicest bars in Lagos to be sure. Among the rather trashy ambiance of most others it stands out as a great place for food and drinks. Lovely staff, too! Recommend to try the Paloma cocktail and get the jar of Sangria.

The restaurant was nice, lovely atmosphere and good food. The choice menu-wise is quite limited and the cramped seating arrangement make for a loud experience even when the restaurant is not at capacity, but overall would come back. Lovey churros at the end of the meal!

Primero no es comida mexicana sino texmex, se lo dije a la camarera y me comentó que no tenían gas, solo cocina eléctrica y eso limitaba los platos que podían preparar. Lo cierto es que la luz se fue en varias ocasiones. El local es pequeño y estrecho y es difícil ir con un bebé aunque tienen tronas. Tienes que ir pronto si quieres mesa porque hay montón de gente y no hay apenas espacio para esperar. La comida no está mal, destacaría que es abundante. El guacamole muy escaso, tengo que decir que pedimos un poco más y no nos lo cobraron. Lo peor de todo fue el baño, estaba sucio y viejo, con muchos desperfectos que daban un aspecto de abandono. No entiendo que un local que está lleno todos los días no gane dinero suficiente para remodelar el local. Da muy mala imagen.

Fab place. The fish tacos are fantastic. We also had the strawberry cimichabgas which were lovely. The menu is sort of American Mexican in feel. There is a selection of unusual home made hot sauces to spice things up if so needed. The atmosphere is great and the service is spot on. According to my other half the IPA is also good. Be aware that it is a shared table system but please don't let that put you off. It works and so different to the normal touristy places. They have tables inside and outside. Don't think you can book and it is cash only, but definitely recommend you try!

Die Cocktails sind wirklich mal was anderes (Basil Gimlet).
Das Essen schmeckt super, und wird unglaublich schnell serviert.
Ich empfehle hier unbedingt die Fish Tacos, die auch auf vielen Fotos zu sehen sind.
Wenn man zu zweit ist bieten sich dann auch noch die Burritos an, dann kann man untereinander teilen.
Ich hoffe wir schaffen es in unserem Urlaub noch einmal wieder zu kommen.

Endearing British team running a mexican restaurant in Portugal. Good food, good service, and you might end up sitting with to some truly cool people.
Definitely prepare to wait. But do so at the bar. The bartenders are entertaining, likable, and make excellent drinks.

The pork chimichangas and chicken burrito were both quite good. I have a slight preference for the chimichangas as the flavor was more interesting. The burrito was slightly lacking a punch, I recommend pairing it with some extra salsa. Coming from the southwest U.S. I was skeptical about a Mexican-style joint in Lagos, and was impressed by the showing here. The salsas were all good, with fresh tomatillo and chili flavors coming across. The sangria is also excellent. Service was great, despite the business of the restaurant.

A gem if you are in Lagos! The food is super flavorful and rich with plenty of options for vegetarians and meat eaters. Everything is a very reasonable price and the drinks are great. They have a pretty big cocktail menu and I liked everything I tried. It can get rather busy so I would go earlier to get quicker service.

This places doesn't lie to its reputation, really really packed all the time but the staff is super warm and the food absolutely amazing. Worth trying the burritos. My pick for the spicy ones :) lot of choice of food and drinks

The kitchen is close early so if you want to try the food don't wait until late night. I have tired a classic burrito and it was definitelly a quality one. Everything fresh inside, tacos on a side and set of spicy souces.

Great ambiance and drinks, but the Mexican food isn’t great. It’s the stereotypical Mexican food that you’d find at a TexMex restaurant (burritos, chimmichangas, fajitas, etc.), which is fine, but there is much to be desired in terms of flavour.

This place is a real find! The food was amazing, the staff were lovely and friendly (I think they were at least mostly British but I could be wrong) and made us and our young son feel very welcomed.
It looks like it would a lot of fun in the evenings as well as they had a well stocked bar and a great menu.
Overall we're just disappointed we didn't discover this place unntil our last day in Lagos!

Nice cocktails at 6 or 8 euro a piece but service was slow and chaotic. Most of the waiting staff were busier entertaining their friends hanging around than tending to their guests. People had to walk up to the register to get their attention or pay. Cocktails were good!

Great décor in the place,funky bar area.Wooden tables,chairs bench type,but Ok to sit on.
Good choice on menu,very pleasant, helpful,fun staff.We had 2 burritos,great but big portion could have shared 1.The quesadilla vegetarian was lovely as well.
Didn't have time to try cocktail's or dessert but looked good,,next time.
Price 9 or 10 euros a plate good,especially if you share.
Worth a visit even just for drinks as funky,fun atmosphere.Staff made it good.

Food portions are big and good and the card is small but all is fresh. We were 8people and had to wait a little to get 2 tables for 4 each, so was a little bit sad we couldnt sit together. Bit really nice place, friendly staff and good atmosphere.

A quick service who wants to sell. That's OK for me but i don't feel any "love "in this kitchen. I had chicken, no taste at all, the porc was better. Two times the same vegetables. Hot sauce, pfff...A joke.
However a lot of people are here, most English. ( you now ofcourse the reputation of English kitchen)

Open during the off-season (mid-February), it was a sight for sore eyes as many places in Lagos are closed. The burritos my spouse and I got (chicken & veggie) were very good. Throw in the 4 sauces they provided, I'd definitely go back any time of the year.

OK but not great - We went there at 5ish but they don't open till 6. I said TripAdvisor hours were listed at 4pm - reply was "We don't believe in TripAdvisor". Nothing truly Mexican about the food. I was disappointed. My husband had fish tacos which were soft tacos and he said they were good.

The guac was not worth the 1.5 hours it took to get our meals. I saw the staff do shots together 3 times (they were 2 men down) so maybe that's what took so long. In the end...food was just ok and took way too long

Omg. This food was absolutely amazing. I have been in Europe for 5 months and this was the closest thing I've had to great mexican and chipotle. My friends and I shared pulled pork nachos and they were so good I almost started licking the plate. Then for dinner my friend and I shared chicken quesadilla and a beef burrito. We ate everything. Not one crumb was left behind. I was also very excited to go to a place that had real hot sauce, not Tabasco sauce. I find it very hard to find good hot sauce in Europe. The prices were very reasonable. I shared nachos, a quesadilla, a burrito, and had my own margarita all for €15. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone who loves mexican food.
