Wow we have been in Portimao for a 5 day break. We were lucky to discover this restaurant on day 2. Fantastic service with real attention to the customers but ultimately great great food. Guess what we’re back again!!

Serveur déplorable, autain , attente pour prise de commande interminable, autant pour avoir les consommations, par contre par 2 fois quand nous attendions " monsieur faisait le beau devant 4 jeunes femmes à une autre table" . Quand nous avons régler la note il à oublié de nous rendre la monnaie, c'etait pas beaucoup mais c'est moi qui decide du pourboire en fonction du service. Voilà c'est dit.......

Um restaurante que vive do passado. Já foi bom.aliás era excelente e uma referência. Serviço péssimo, por exemplo um dos empregados a mostrar desagrado pelo pedido, demorado e sempre com um ar de frete que se torna insuportável. O "dono" Sr. Ricardo nada faz para melhorar o ambiente aliás é o principal exemplo e instigador. Evitem ir a este péssimo restaurante se quiserem levar uma boa memória da excelente Praia da Rocha.

Péssimo atendimento,comida de má qualidade e preço abusivo. Pedimos uma cataplana de peixe que demorou DUAS HORAS E MEIA e veio um sopa com restos de peixes,horrível... Outro prato foi de lula à dore,que além de vir imersa no óleo veio acompanhada de batata frita fria e murcha(que não pedimos).

I went alone for lunch on Sunday 15th September. I sat down and waited and waited, tried unsuccessfully to get the waiters attention several times, after about 20 minutes 3 young ladies sat down on table next to me, the waiter was there immediately, needless to say I left and went somewhere else. How to make a customer feel special Atlântico NOT...........

Restaurante muito bom . Excelente peixe o melhor da Rocha. Comemos corvina.... Grelhada, espetada e arroz .... Jantar de top . Boa relação custo qualidade, no entanto conte sempre com 30 €/ pessoa. Recomendo. Restaurante fica no passadiço da Rocha -tendo como pano de fundo o mar e o areal é assim muito agradável , mais ainda se a noite estiver fantástica ( hoje meia-noite temos 28°C sem vento !!!! )

After many good reviews me and my wife decided to give it a go.What a disappointment.The waiter welcomed us was nice and polite but the one who was taking orders was very rude and angry, wasn't his day I guess.Wife's dish came out around 15min after order and mine exactly 40min after!Anyway my medium cooked stake was average,no sauce,no seasoning ,just few chips ,four slices of tomato,three raw onion rings and two leaves of lettuce for 17.80€!Well overpriced but lesson learned never again.

We had a most lovely evening here yesterday. We had looked at a number of other menus/locations prior to eventually deciding to stop here for dinner. It seemed like the nicest physical location, right on the beach, and had a nice menu, so in we went... The host, Walter, was a huge part of what made the evening great, he was really chatty and friendly, and made the kids feel very special too. He was very helpful with the menu and answered any questions we had. We sat outside for a drink first and then moved inside when it got a bit cooler, for our food. The location is superb, right on the beach, so the views are equally superb. The restaurant is bright and comfortable, and has loads of sliding glass panels that can be adjusted to let in/out more heat/air as required. The kids are off the kids menu and had a burger and chips and nuggets and chips, all of which went down a storm. They also had milkshakes, but more about that later... We had all seafood. We split the prawns in garlic for a starter, which were fab with some bread to soak up the oils. My wife had the biggest tiger prawns I have ever seen, and she was in heaven. They were delicious. I had a monkfish and prawn skewer with vegetables, which was also delicious. We had some desserts; a couple of chocolate mousse and a crepe with cream and MnMs - all demolished. Espresso was great, and my wife had an espresso martini which she loved. Now, the milkshakes. I wouldn't normally make a big deal about these but there's a principle to be noted here. One of the other staff prepared the milkshakes from fresh fruit etc. and brought them out to the kids. The kids absolutely loved them. But here's the thing, the guy came out to ask how the milkshakes were, and when the kids replied that they were excellent, his face lit up. He had clearly made a great effort to make great milkshakes, and he was delighted to see that they were well received. That is pride, pride in one's role and is something I love to see. For him, it wasn't just a milkshake, it was as important an item as the tiger prawns or the monkfish skewer and he made sure to put his best into it. This may seem like a trivial observation, but it's important. It's people like this who have pride in their roles, that make the service industry great and give people happy memories. For me it was the highlight of the meal. There's not much more I can say really, we had a fabulous evening, with fabulous food and fabulous treatment. Highly recommended. Five stars. ***** Oh, and check out the homemade Piri Piri Whiskey oil... :)

Bon ambiance, prix européens, on est plus au Portugal, les expatriés font monter les prix. Les prix sont x2 par rapport à l'intérieur des terres. Ça va être comme à bordeaux! Les parisiens dehors! Comment fait le Portugais lambda au smic à 500€ ? En faite ces restos sont fait pour nous, eux ils dégagent. Attendez vous au racisme et la jalousie.

Ondanks dat het september was en totaal niet druk had men kennelijk geen zin ons te helpen. Na nog wat pogingen de aandacht van de bediening te trekken zijn we na 38 minuten wachten (ja, ik heb op een gegeven de timer aangezet dus eigenlijk was het langer) weggelopen.

Tolle Lage, sehr gutes Essen und eine entspannte Atmosphäre. Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und Kinder sind willkommen. Nach dem Essen können die kleinen noch im Sand toben, während die Eltern auf gemütlichen Lounge Möbeln sitzen und Ihnen zuschauen und dabei einen leckeren Cocktail genießen.

Direkt am Strand, sehr gutes Essen zu einem guten Preis.
