Super lekker Indiaas eten op traditionele manier, in de klei-oven, bereidt. Ook is dit restaurant een lust voor het oog. Van alle restaurants met Indian-food steekt deze er met kop en schouders bovenuit.

This is one of the finest Indian restaurants i have ever been to! The service was very good first off. The place looked amazing and had a great atmosphere. You have to go early 6-7:30 to get seated straight away as you can't book. The food was amazing it really was! Portugal can handle there heat so the medium spiced dish was pretty warm more like a hot at home but it was still very nice dont get me wrong. The Prawn Puri for starter was simply perfection in every way! I would highly recommend this place its a must try

Had dinner here last night, service was okay food was nice but they charged €6 per bottle of water (0.75cl) which is robbery. Twice the kitchen burnt things and the smell had everyone coughing for ages. Wouldn't go back, quite disappointed considering the reviews.

Got a recommended about this place and did it deliver, first it's just off the strip and such a nice restaurant. You can see by the presentation of the tables and staff. We ordered onion barhaji and they came out quick and Delicious. The Curry's were spot on and so tasty with just the right amount of spice. Nan bread was huge and fluffy. Couldn't fault this place. Will definitely be going back before we fly out

Food was amazing. Probably the best Indian I've had outside of little India in Asian countries. Had the Balti curry with a butter naan. Also if you want to treat yourself, try the sizzling hot brownie! And yes t that's melted hot chocolate poured over the Ice cream.

Came here twice during my one week stay in Portugal and I absolutely loved it. I especially recommend the cheese naan and chicken tikka masala. I wasn’t a fan of Indian food before but now I love it. You have to try it!

This is a lovely restaurant, extremely busy. Would advise reserving in advance to ensure you get a table. Staff were very friendly and food was good, not overpriced either. Would recommend you give this place a try if you enjoy genuine spicy Indian food.

Comparando com outros indianos, demorou algum tempo a trazerem o pão, os condimentos para o pão eram poucos para o que estou habituado. De resto nota máxima! Se pudesse daria... 4.5, mas como nao posso dou 4 para fazer a distinção, mas sobretudo, excelente experiência.

Very popular. Arrive before 7 or book. Great service, food delicious. Menu very typical of British style Indian food. No tap water, only bottled... Not exactly cheap in general. Meal for 4 with 2 beers, €70. Atmosphere lovely and its off the strip so much more chilled and family friendly.

Eu como restaurator desde 1989 en varios pais e hoje em albufeira recomendo este restaurant pela a sua ospitalidade e pela a sua gastronomia ( verdadeira cozinha indiana ) um dos restaurantes indiano mais antigos de Albufeira se não fore o mais antigos que sempre sobe guardar a sua qualidade dos primeiros dias, eu recommendo fortemente este restaurante ( palavra de um restaurador profesional ).

Very clean with a large number of staff to serve. You can see the meals being cooked which gives you confidence. The decor is good as well as the atmosphere. Food very good and good value for money.

Fantástico, um ótimo ambiente com uma comida muito boa que nos transporta para a Índia. O atendimento é ótimo só não leva 5 estrelas pois excepto os donos todo o staff não sabia falar português, e como estamos em Portugal ajuda se não falar pelo menos compreender o que lhes é pedido, mesmo assim recomendo pois vale a pena.

Wow, possibly the very best restaurant in the algarve, such beautiful well decorated and maintained restaurant, gave you the feeling of 5* service and quality, the food was beyond doubt the best Indian food I have ever eaten, the price was surprisingly very reasonable considering the quality and amount I was served, the queue of people outside waiting for a table was incredible to see, but we were not rushed to finish by the staff, I recommend arriving early to get straight in or you could be in for a wait, but trust me.... Its worth it!!!

Fabulous curry cooked to your taste
The variety of starters and main course is excellent and whether you choose Bhitiani or Jalftezi, they cook to the spicy heat you desire. The dessert of sizzling chocolate brownie is fabulous, lots of food and we'll priced.

We came in December so it maybe was not as busy as in peak times but I'll have to say this was the best Indian food ive ever had, having endured the curry mile and all that Birmingham estatablishmesnts had to offer this was a world above those by an mile. A must if you visit albufera.

The food here is amazing! It's also worth knowing that the portions are massive! I bought way too much food not realizing this ( AND I EAT A LOT ). The starters and side dishes can easily be shared. The venue is great and just near the beginning of the strip. So you can eat and explore! The best Indian I have ever had in my entire life! Would happily fly to Portugal just to visit again!

We've discovered trying different cuisines in different countries is a wonderful way to experience the unexpected. During our first trip to Algarve, we tried Indian in Olhao and Faro both were amazing. Second trip to Algarve, new town (Albufeira so we had to see how the experience stacked up. Clay Oven surpassed the other two. Simply wonderful! The papadam was different, light & airy. The onion kulcha was spiced but not too hot, so it had an intense but not overwhelmed flavor. I had lamb saag (medium) which was perfect. The lamb moist and cooked perfectly, complimented the spiced spinach, which was full of flavor and rich. Creamy but not heavy. Yum!
The husband had his "go to" chicken tika and was very happy. Again, cooked perfectly, moist and juicy with just the right amount of spice and onion.
Both portions were typical of a quality Indian restaurant, just enough to be filling and not stuffed, while not feeling guilty about eating it all.
And oh, the garlic naan! Light, thin, crispy on the bottom and fluffy inside. The perfect thing to scoop up our meal.
Service was good, the waiters helpful and attentive but not bothersome. Atmosphere was cozy, a touch on the elegant side, while still being relaxing. Prices were very reasonable, too. A definite must try!

What a find in sunny Portugal. Amazing food, great restaurant. Staff are on point which is always greaf to see. Being able to see the kitchen adds a different element in my opinion, bit of a different vibe. Could easily rival a restaurant back home in the UK hands down. The bar was also very good, worth trying a cocktail if that's your sort of thing. My choice of cocktail had whisky and bacon in it so I was sold as soon as I read it on the menu :)
Note, it can get pretty busy in the evening and you may have to wait a short time but it's definately worth it given how good it was. Definately recommend a visit.

Got two of the specialties from their clay oven. One with chicken (tikka masala) and one with lamb. The chicken needed some taste and could have been a lot stronger. The lamb was pretty good. Overall I missed a more modern take on the typical Indian dishes and it would have been nice to have some exiting side dishes besides naan bread...

Wow! What an amazing meal! 100% perfect. Best Indian meal my husband and I have ever had- we were both absolutely blown away by the food- and we have very different tastes- he loves a hot curry, I love a mild, aromatic one! If you’re in Albufeira and you like Indian food- EAT HERE!! Sukhjit and the team not only provide amazing food, the service is second to none! Having said we wouldn’t return to Albufeira, this superb restaurant may well have changed our minds!

Words fail me.
I have been on this planet for 47 years and I have eaten in many curry establishments, but I have never had a curry like I have just eaten. Rarely do I leave reviews, even rarer for places that have blown me away, but I enjoyed it that much I feel emotional. Albufeira and the Algarve have done nothing for me and will be glad to get home, but the highlight will always be this place. Truly stunning from the minute we turned up, seated, ordered and eaten all within 35 minutes and the place is full.
If I ever win the lottery, I would come here just to taste that standard of curry again.

Wow. Echt de lekkerste indiase restaurant die ik in mn leven heb bezocht. En ik heb er al veel gehad (in nederland). Elk gerecht is aan de raden de naan is ook echt heeeerlijk. Ik had de butter chicken en mijn mam de grilled mix. En wat een nette obers en n nette hygienische open keuken !!! Alleen maar lof. Morgen weer !

This restaurant was absolutely brilliant as the food was top notch. We went for dinner on Sunday 30th September 2018 at 18.00hrs and the restaurant was full to capacity by 18.40 and this was a clear indication of the quality of the food we were soon going to be served. There are lots of other restaurants on the strip and on our way home nearly all of them were either empty or half empty. The food was reasonably priced and our waiter Channa was excellent and could not have been more accommodating if he had tried.
On the whole this was a very enjoyable experience and I will be visiting again next year.

Gorgeous food! Very happy with everything , chicken korma with garlic naan was fabulous. My boyfriend's Balti was beautiful but very hot so beware if you do not like spice when getting the hot dishes. Lovely bottle of house wine was only €9 too. Great place to visit on our last night in Albufeira.

La pire expérience dans un restaurant indien!
Tous les serveurs étaient désagréables sauf un!
Pas d’air conditionné par 36° et le charbon des cuisines a enfumé le restaurant... l’air était irrespirable et le serveur qui avait oublié un plat nous carrément grondé quand l’avons demandé !
C’est un client qui a dû ouvrir la porte pour aérer et soulager les autres clients!
La nourriture était bonne mais pas incroyable et les sauces liquides...
Au final 20 minutes pour avoir l’addition... ET UNE BONNE DOUCHE !

Parfait ! Pendant nos vacances au Portugal nous y sommes allé 3fois. Très bien reçus , serveurs et patron souriants, rapides et efficaces, on a adoré! Nourriture excellente et restaurant classe et bien décoré. Le seul point négatif c'est l'attente devant le restaurant pour avoir une table mais ça vaut la peine...

Great food! Our party shared papadam , Cebolla Bhaji, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Vindaloo, Baigan Bharta, Nann (Garlic & Onion), and Samosas. We were not disappointed. Be sure to let the servers know what heat (spice) levels you want. The vindaloo was wicked hot (exactly as we wanted it). Service was some of the best we experienced in Algarve. The interior decor was beautifully modern. Enjoy!

Restaurante com comida tradicional indiana. Pratos bem confeccionados, ambiente agradável, bem decorado, confortável. Estacionamento praticamente à porta, bons acessos. Enquanto se espera pela mesa lá dentro, existe uma zona com mesas altas na rua onde se pode começar a conversar e consumir.

Was really disappointed. Went here with my family in April. We ordered a chicken curry and aloo Gobi. Food was average but the owners made it worse by continually staring at us. My wife got panicky and dropped the Aloo Gobi they didn't have the decency to replace it. I wouldn't go back.

Very nice place to eat, decor and atmosphere is very nice, food is brilliant and the chocolate brownie is amazing. The naan is so tasty and both mains ordered were very nice. Serivice was brilliant what I would expect for a 5* place.

Restaurante lindo, confortável, staff atencioso e ambiente indiano com classe ☺️.. fomos avisados do tempo de espera antes de prosseguirmos com o pedido de mesa, portanto esperámos pq assim o quisemos. Quanto à comida..desde o início ao fim foi tudo magnífico..1explosão de sabores em cada garfada. O restaurante estava cheio e continuava com gente à espera qd saímos.. preço mais que justo para a qualidade dos pratos! mais um restaurante para a minha (ainda pequena) lista

Simply spectacular restaurant. Dazzling ambiance, excellent service. Fantastic, fresh dishes prepared in Punjabi style.
This is perfect for folk who have not tried real Indian food before. Waiters will advise on best milder choices. I look forward to eating here so much that I can't wait for our winter holidays.

We wanted a place to eat in Albufeira, Sadly most of the restaurant are pretty stinky (smokers inside, or it just doesn't look very clean) this in consideration made us walk around the city many times. Alot of places we just left because it wasn't up to our standards.
Clay oven is nice. The food was super good, and the staff although they are a bit in a hurry, they sure are friendly!
I enjoyed my evening there and sure have no regrets wandering around the city for so long.
My girlfriend to enjoyed her food and the wine alot.
A bottle of wine for 14€ isn't very expensive either. So even when you don't want to spend a big amount of money this place would be a good suggestion.
Anyways good food good waiters, nice chairs and a very beautiful serround made a good evening

Simply the best overall Indian restaurant in the Algarve in my opinion. Some others may come close on the food quality, but this place blows the competition away with their beautiful modern and stylish restaurant, high quality ingredients, relaxing atmosphere and overall attention to detail. Staff and service are amazing (I believe it is family operated). This is actually one of the nicest restaurants in Albufeira, up to the standard of something higher end in Lisbon. I live nearby and go here once a month at least.

There is always a queue no matter the time of the year. They don't accept reservations either. But the food is really good and the atmosphere is amazing, so it's always worth the wait. I recommend it.

This is one of the best Indian restaurants I have visited anywhere. We visited twice during our 11 night stay in Albufeira, October 2019. Menu is great and varied. Service excellent. Staff professional and pleasant. Over the last two years we always visit twice during our October stay. We will be back next year. It's obvious popularity speaks for itself, with tables filling quickly from 18.00 hrs onwards. Miss this one and you're missing something special. Highly recommended.

Fabulous food! My partners first time trying Indian food and I'm glad I brought him here! Dishes were super tasty and authentic. Everything tasted like it was made with quality fresh ingredients, so hard to find in a tourist area sometimes so we were delighted to have found this place. The staff are so friendly and the woman at the front of staff makes sure you are looked after. To top it all off try the brownie for dessert, both presentation and taste will wow you!

If you arrive after 7PM, expect to wait about 30 min, but it's well worth the wait. The food was fantastic. While not the cheapest you will find in Albuferia, it's been the best place we've eaten out of during our two visits, top top notch. Staff are friendly, good is great!!

EXCELLENT ! La nourriture indienne est un vrai délice dans ce restaurant et les plats sont savoureux. Les plats sont faciles à digérer puisque les épices sont parfaitement maîtrisées et que le chef cuisinier est un vrai artiste. Je recommande fortement de goûter plusieurs plats à la fois pour créer une harmonie de saveurs qui va affoler votre sens gustatif. Les prix peuvent paraître excessifs mais croyez moi ça en vaut vraiment le coup. Pour conclure, que vous soyez en famille ou à deux ou même seul c'est l'endroit qu'il vous faut. Je conseille de ne pas arriver vers 22h ou plus car l'endroit est très fréquenté et vous risquez de devoir attendre une bonne trentaine de minutes devant l'entrée avant d'avoir une place.

Best restaurant my company and I visited during our vacation in Albufeira. We arrived and got seated at around 19:00 which is a bit early for dinner in Albufeira, yet this way we managed to skip long lines of wait outside the restaurant. The waiters were friendly and quick, the restaurant kept very clean, and the food amazing. The menu was diverse and rich with different dishes and they served lots of different drinks and refreshments from a bar. The price was surprisingly good for what we got compared to that of other restaurant we visited. So to summarize, Clay Oven Indian kitchen, was the best food we had while in Albufeira, at a very reasonable cost.

I ordered aloo gobi and dal for myself, my husband and kids. It was nothing like I heard, gobi was cold. I complained but they said nothing we can do. The couple were very rude and unprofessional. Staff just kept staring at us eating. We just left halfway through our meal. Would NOT recommend it.

O espaço está decorado de uma forma moderna, agradável e acolhedora. Só é pena ser pequeno para tanta procura, sem dúvida, justificada pela elevada qualidade e pelos magníficos sabores. Por isso, recomendo chegar cedo ou ir com paciência e tempo para esperar por uma mesa. Pode fazê-lo, saboreando uma bebida no bar. A sangria é fantástica.
Os funcionários são muito simpáticos e prontos para esclarecer qualquer dúvida sobre os pratos e até mesmo para aconselhar a melhor escolha.
Enquanto estamos à espera, podemos ir observando a preparação dos pratos, visto que a cozinha é aberta.

Fantastic food! Excellent service, good atmosphere, lovely clean restaurant, wish we had gone first week of holiday because we definitely would have gone back, the second week. We love Indian food n this was without a doubt one of if not the best we've been to. U have to go early otherwise you'll be queueing down the street. U can see the food being cooked whilst u have a drink n u are having your starters. It's a good varied menu with plenty to choose from. So if u like Indian food get yourself down there n enjoy!!

Really nice Indian food! We have tried many other Indian restaurants in various countries but this one remains one of the best! Friendly staff and not too expensive. Child friendly as well. If you want to make sure you have a table just come a little bit earlier (around 18:00 hrs.). Highly recommended!

This place was beyond amazing!! Honestly, i could not find anything to be critical about! Not only was it so modern and clean but the staff weew excellent. It was very busy and as soon as possible we walked in, we had a waiter approach us. Within no time he managed to find us a table and provided a menu. We were very surprised how reasonable the price was because we assumed it would have been pricey due to the fantastic classy decor. Anways the found was just amazing, im asian my self and had very high expectations. Believe me i was not let down, i would highly recommend you visit this place! We went back there 4 times within our 1 week stay

Es gibt eine offene Küche und man kann den Köchen bei der Arbeit zusehen.
Am besten gleich um 18 Uhr besuchen.
Das Restaurant ist so gut, das es eventuell zu Wartezeiten kommt.
Die Speisen können auch mitgenommen werden.

Fabulous Indian cuisine, nice wine and mixed drinks selection, very sophisticated decor, lovely and clean facility, no onsite parking lot, street parking only, pen 11 - 2 for lunch and 6 - 11 for dinner 6 days a week. A bit pricey but well worth it.

You can find comforting Indian food here. The restaurant was clean, with modern decor. Wait staff was friendly and took good care of us. Only downside(during the winter) is that they don't have proper heating so it's fairly cold inside the restaurant.

Had dinner in this modern restaurant, however more cons than pros, the pros are food very tasty, cons waiters need to be trained more in serving and table manners, got the menu literally thrown at me, waiters were not interested in the customer whatsoever, paid 80€ for dinner with wine for pickles, popadoms, starter and main course, overpriced for the experience. There are other Indians around the area better value for money and more customer friendly

Excelente relação qualidade/preço, não desilide. Mesas ao pé dos vidros muito frias, é preferível procurar resguardo no interior da sala.

Very modern with a cozy interior. The design is modern and its prices are 8,50€(mean of all meals). The waiting for the food takes 20-30 minutes depending on what you have chose. Very fresh ingredients with very tasty food. Excellent customer service with a nice range of authentic Indian foods. There is not many table avadible. But there is no waiting list,nor reserves. As when you are late, it'll be full of people and they'll tell you to wait 20-25 minutes to wait for a table. The ideal time to eat is 7:00 to 8:30 pm. But there will be tall tables outside and drinks to chose for the waiting. Overall the restaurant is very good and in a new condition located in a good environment.

Delicious food, great service and fair pricing. Possible to adjust spicy so also good to eat with people who are not into that spicy. An extra tissue for wiping sweat is no issue :-)

This is a true authentic restaurant! The food is absolutely amazing. It offers a true Indian dining experience. The lamb kebabs and the methi chicken are to die for. We have been in the Algarves for 5 days now and we have been there 3 times already. Great job guys! Obrigado!

One of the best indian food restaurants I've tried in Portugal. Service is nice and efficient. If you don't know what to order just ask to one of the waiters, they give good advices taking into consideration your tolerance to spicy foods.
Arrive early, since they are always full and don't take reservations.
