I stopped by at this place on my way back to the hotel. They seem to do mainly tapas, simple but very nice. The staff are very friendly and the locals also enjoy visiting it.

Es schmeckt so fantastisch gut! Am besten war das "sardine with orange tiborna". Ein Traum! Ich habe es mehrmals in einer Woche gegessen. Es ist kein highend Restaurant. Es wird jedoch original portugiesisch von "Mama" gekocht. Irgendwann muss ich wieder dorthin.

We stopped on our way to the train station and had breakfast at this little gem of a place. Family run eatery serving simple things and doing them well.
Very highly recommended, though if you are coming for a full meal, you’d better ask their timings since we were told they only open 6 PM onwards for tapas.

In de drie dagen dat wij in Faro waren zijn we 2x wezen eten in dit familierestaurant. De menukaart bestaat uit simpele, maar heerlijke tapas, met liefde bereid. Wij voelden ons welkom en hebben goed gegeten!

Best tapas bar in town. We've been in Faro for 4 days and been back twice. The food/tapas is amazing and service is beautiful. It's a small family store that serves the best food and very good port. Price wice we still don't understand how little we had to pay both time we visited. This is definitely the place to go in Faro if you like tapas, Port and local culture. This place will be number 1 tapas place on TripAdvisor very soon!

Locale semplice , casalingo offre piatti tradizionali e semplici come in trattoria o forse a casa . Locale piccolo con poche pretese offre tapAs fatte in casa a prezzi bassi . X una cena semplice e economica ne cale L pena.

Unfortunately a big disappointment. Nice interior and staff it was a pleasure to seat and drink a beer but food isn't that good, especially pica pau which smelled bad and meat was so hard and chewy.

Esperienza bellissima. Non lasciatevi ingannare dalla prima apparenza... nonostante sembri veramente una bottega, abbiamo mangiato delle buonissime tapas preparate da Isabella. Una cuoca bravissima, e simpatica.... oltre a parlare Italiano, Inglese e Portoghese, Isabella vi stupirà con la qualità delle sue Tapas. Un localino abbastanza appartato e con pochissimo passaggio di turisti, noi ci siamo capitati per caso cercando un ristorante di Tapas con google. E se tornerò a Farò, sicuramente mi fermerò ancora a mangiare da Isabella e marito. Complimenti e grazie per tutto.

Very very good tapas place. Not the fanciest, but a traditional and cheap place to eat some tapas if you're nearby. One of the best finds of the city. Highly recommend it. Faro is not the best place to visit in Algarve to be honest, but this place where we stopped for a quick lunch saved the day!

Buen precio, vaso de vino 0,80! 50cl, 2e!, Mediana 1.10e!, Buenos precios, y comida casera, no de altos vuelos, es barato y eficiente, presonal serio y te atiende en español perfectamente, buena opcion si quieres acertar, recomendable, ojala hubiera uno asi en cada ciudad que visito en portugal

Abbiamo trovato questo ristorantino per puro caso: una signora ci ha indicato un posto accogliente e familiare, poco turistico.
Effettivamente è stato proprio così: la cucina di Isabela ci ha deliziati e anche chiacchierare con lei è stato bellissimo. Il suo sgombro con i peperoni, le polpette di salsiccia e le sardine con l’arancia erano ottime e Isabela molto premurosa e accogliente!

Rapport qualité /prix rien à dire.
Pour 2 personnes:soupe,salade de tomates,seiche en beignet,frites,omelette au fromage ,viande de porc et boisson= 23€.

Old man at 9:00 in the morning didn't want to talk to us or answer, after screamed we did took table for 5 people no t for 2. What a deehead. Haven't seen such a treatment for long time. McDonald's after that was amazing!

Great dishes. Between the calamari, imitation lobster, cheese/sausage board and sardine bruschetta, I liked the sardine with orange and tomato the best. Everything was made fresh. Lots of locals dropped by for a drink around noon.

This place had very delicious simple clean food. A bit salty but definitely somewhere I would return, even for a small bite. The bruschetta, while simple was delicious and worth a try!

Muy aconsejable!!. La semana pasada estuvimos mi marido y yo de vacaciones en Portugal y pasamos el dia en Faro; cerca de la Iglesia de Carmo encontramos este restaurante y fue un total acierto. Todas las tapas buenísimas y el trato de las dueñas madre e hija fue impecable, muy amables y atentas. Tomamos varias tapas y un vinito de la zona. Nos costó muy poco y comimos de maravilla. Tapas muy originales y a muy buen precio!!! Probadlo, merece la pena.

Nice and authentic place to shop for portuguese delis or have tapas and a nice glass (or more) of wine. It's rather busy at lunch time so you might want to book a table or be prepared to wait a bit. The prices are as authentic as the food and the place seems to be popular with locals and tourists alike.

Completamente de acuerdo con Francisco Miguel. Increíble!!! 75 minutos para cuatro calamares congelados, horrible. Después media sardina ( de lata) con un trocito de tomate y pan y unas albóndigas no aptas para estómagos delicados.
Tripadvisor debería comprobar para dar un certificado de excelencia el establecimiento con valoradores profesionales.
De esta manera los clientes no nos sentiríamos engañados ni nos desviaríamos de la autovía para nada.
Dos cosas reseñables, la cocinera nos ha pedido disculpas por el retraso y el precio muy económico.
En España esto qué hemos comido sería tomar tres cañas con tapa

Pero bueno. Que pasa? Que por tener buena puntuación en TripAdvisor ya hay que vivir del cuento....Pues NO. Señores la puntuación hay que sostenerla!!!! Estuve con mi familia por recomendación de TripAdvisor y no lo recomiendo para nada. La señorita joven tiene una desgana atendiendo que se nota que no quiere estar ahí. La tapas son muy normales. Pedimos una bolas o croquetas y también que nos pusieran un plato típico portugués, pues bien el plato típico eran las bolas, pero con una forma más alargada con patatas. En otra tapa, las tostadas de bacon y queso, el pan estaba quemado.
Hacia mucha calor. Luego tardaron mucho entre unas tapas y otras, se te pasa el hambre. Por el contrario, los dueños, en el poco tiempo que estuve hablando con ellos al pagar, fueron muy amables y atentos.

I really don't understand good reviews. Maybe it was a wrong day or maybe it's a place more for locals, but the man who works there tried to show all the time how he is angry to see us and unhappy to serve us. Dishes were ok, but nothing special.

Wegen der vielen guten Rezensionen waren wir bei unserem Ausflug nach Faro extra hierher gekommen. Leider wurden unsere Erwartungen in keiner Weise erfüllt. Die bestellten Gerichte waren zienlich fett und geschmacksarm. Auch war die Bedienung wenig herzlich, ohne jedes Lächeln. Vermutlich hatten wir den falschen Tag erwischt, denn sonst scheint es ja deutlich besser zu sein. Schade dass wir das nicht erleben durften. Positiv erwähnt werden sollte auf jeden Fall, dass es dafür auch nicht teuer gewesen ist.

Un lieu à ne pas manquer sur faro. Des personnes très accueillantes et une cuisine typiquement portugaise.nous y avons mangé plusieurs soirs de suite sans jamais être déçu. Je vous le recommande sans hésiter.

Lovely family run, well priced tapas and coffee place with freshly and lovingly prepared food and charming cook. Very quite on a Saturday night - not pretentious and not touristy. I highly recommend their Mexilhoes de Escabeche, but could not get the cook to reveal the full recipe.
