Amazing food! Located in the middle of the city within the walls in a historic building. Short menu of petiscos (tapas) but truly delicious and very Portuguese. Pair your meal with a Sagres (beer) or the house sangria... you won't regret it.

Super friendly server and all the dishes were delicious. It was a surprise and very glad that we sat at the patio.

Accoglienza sorridente e scoppiettante, i gestori sono fantastici, riescono a mettere a loro agio anche turisti italiani che non parlano inglese come me. Perché parlano anche italiano.
Il locale è piccolo ma il clima che si crea con i clienti lo rende grande.
Ottima la cucina prezzi giusti

The fish bruschetta is good. I thought the “board” included cooked sausage not just sliced cured sausage so I might add back one star if I had some other good stuff. But I was wanting hot cooked food and instead ate canned fish and some charcuterie stuff, things that I could have just bought at the supermarket and sliced up without cooking. Didn’t really like 2 of the 3 cheeses on the charcuterie plate either.
The outdoor seating is nice to sit out. So if you go, just choose the items you know you’ll like so you don’t waste 25€ on a charcuterie board that will more than half be thrown out... unless you really like to have charcuterie for dinner.

Tapas bar in the cutest corner of the old town. The food was great and the staff very professional and energetic! Not your usual dinner, but if you have 2 (or 3 if you are very hungry) different tapas you will be full and happy! House wine is really nice

Great food, great service, great atmosphere! We just had lunch here, it was very good :) Nice small menu (rather a small menu and fresh than large menu and freezer food), appetizing dishes, friendly staff. Would recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Nel centro storico di Faro, servono solo Petiscos, dal classico bacalau con ceci a cose più particolari.
Una piccola chicca in mezzo a locali per turisti.
Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Amazing domestic cousin , portuguese food and great and cheap wine. Really enjoyed it. Took little longer to get our food, but understood it as many people were there. I would recommend Chorizo sausage, one of the best I have eaten. Only bad thing was that other guests had Chorizo with fire burning and we didn't :( too bad that we were not treated same as other. They should work a bit on this thing. But recommend it really.

We came here in November 2018, just stumbled across this charming tavern in the back steets of Faro. We were greeted by the delightful Salvador (or Salva-phwooarr as the ladies on Facebook proclaimed upon seeing his photo) and the lovely Joao and made very welcome with a selection of delicious traditional Portuguese tapas. And then a very, very alcoholic cocktail followed by shots. We didn't want to leave but unfortunately a plane to catch. Sorry that it's taken us so long to leave a review Salvador and Joao, but we will never forget how welcome you made us and how much you made us laugh and how steaming drunk you made us!!! Lots of love to you both and I promise that we will visit you again.

Petit restaurant, serveur sympa. Nous avons pris la planche old taverne : fromage, charcuterie, sardines...le tout pour 25€ pour 2. Prix un peu excessif par rapport à la qualité de la charcuterie. Lieu sympathique proche de la cathédrale .

Locale d’antico stampo, una chicca nel
suo genere. Proprietari carinissimi e disponibili, lo consiglio anche solo x come vengono proposti i piatti, su taglieri in legno o di pietra. Cibo divino!!!

As soon as we sat, we had to wait 10 minutes before getting a menu - which was okay, the place was very busy.
When finally the waiter comes to our table and the 4 of us order, he asks if it’s everything and I literally say “wait..” to my friends because it’s my turn.. he snaps and starts off with “miss, I don’t have time..” and then he leaves us.
Honesty?
Rudeness at its best. You are missing the basics, revise your attitude towards customers.

Authentic Portuguese bar in the heart of the old Faro.
Although the place was established in 2018 they can offer an atmosphere somehow characteristic.
Staff was extremely nice. Had tuna salad served with beans, lemon and mint. Surely it was fresh and definitely tasty.

A small restaurant with very friendly and helpful stuff. The location sets a lovely, welcoming character for a very tasty dinner. For us it was a great introduction to the world of Portuguese tapas and we can only recommend a visit.

Thon en boite, salade de calamar insipide, quantité minimaliste. Tout sauf de la cuisine portugaise. Cadre très sympa ainsi que le personnel mais prix très excessifs!

A hidden gem. Light meal available tapas style, all Portugese ingredients and freshly made. Staff were very approachable, best so far in the four days we have been in Portugal. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy the local flavours.

Lovely little tavern in the oldest part of faro near the chapel.
There is no really menu but you get plates of finest finger food, a good Glas of wine and the waiters are always joking around with their guest.
Big compliment! Go on guys!

One of those “little” spectacular experiences that you have once and a while.
The food experience is great. The short but very tasty menu is excellent for a group of people. It’s easy to try all the petiscos and be completely satisfied.
Amazing place to have a great time with snacks and amazing wine.
Please, if you have the chance try.

Best octapus I've ever eaten. Fried in butter together with potatoes, seasoned with thyme, and served on a board. Very friendly staff; especially the waitress is absolutely lovely! And the orange jam is glorious. You can sit im the winter sun and enjoy a beer.

Looked like a nice place so we stopped for some wine, but found it very unpleasant, actually undrinkable, so we left it. We mentioned it to the waiter and said we didn't want to pay the full 8 euro bill as we have hardly touched the wine. He said "what am I supposed to do with that now", rather than apologising for the quality of the wine... this then turned into a full blown argument with my partner, who became so upset by the whole experience that she poured the wine (which we had now paid for in full) on the floor, which caused the waiter to swear profusely at me, as my partner walked off in disgust. A very bad experience.

Plat copieux, mais attention à la note, vérifiez là. Nous étions 5 , 1 menu touriste 15 euro, 3 poissons grillés à 12 , un poisson à 9 euros, 2 bières, 1 bouteille d'eau gazeuse total de la note que nous n'avons pas vérifié 120 euros.

Cadre très sympathique, accueil agréable, la serveuse a pris le temps d'expliquer la carte. Les deux assiettes de tapas prises étaient très bonne accompagnées d un très bon vin blanc. Je recommande super moment.

Creative flavours and great presentation. Couple of us got the ribs and they were a bit too fatty even though completely natural / authentic, but decent portion sizes none the less, maybe some more chips needed on the dishes with them on. Overall would recommend, very pleased.

Sin duda el lugar más sabroso en el que he comido en Portugal, simplemente fabuloso. Éramos 3 y pedimos 4 tapas y bebidas y cada cual más buena, el lugar parece uno más pero no es así, sorprende la elaboración de cada plato. Pica Pau es un plato de ternera picada con verduritas, exquisito. Bochechas es una carne guiada muy blandita riquísima. Chourissaou assada rica rica. Todo acompañado de pan rico. Y la salada de bacalahu es una ensalada de garbanzos muy rica. No hay fotos pk estábamos hambrientos y fuimos al lio. Lástima que no había postres...

El personal del restaurante de 10, una atención inmejorable. La carta algo justa en variedad pero todo muy rico. Pedimos tabla de quesos, ensalada de pulpo, carrillada con zanahorias y una ternera como frita; acertamos con todo. Muy buen restaurante calidad/precio.

Pedimos ternera portuguesa y la calidad fue pésima. Además muy poca cantidad, siendo la carta sin IVA, viéndote la sorpresa luego. También pedimos mollejas y más de lo mismo. Y por si fuera poco, se equivocaron con nuestra cuenta poniéndonos una mucho más cara, después de esperar muchísimo tiempo. Todo el mundo quejándose no puedo entender cómo tiene 4.5. horrorosa experiencia.

Esperamos 35 minutos literales desde que pedimos para una ensalada, unas migas y una cazuela pequeña de pollo.
La comida bien y los camareros simpáticos pero la espera se hizo demasiado larga.

Grande atmosfera amichevole ed accogliente. Personale simpaticissimo e disponibile. Menù composto da poche proposte. Piatti locali sia di carne che di pesce. Qualità molto alta dei cibi e delle preparazioni. Non prendono prenotazioni, ma se vi presentate prima delle 20:30 trovate più facilmente posto

Atendimento por parte da funcionária, excelente.
Éramos um grupo de 7 pessoas e com muita pena nossa, as imperiais foram servidas completamente “mortas” sem gás, Ao que demonstramos o nosso descontentamento, e claro que não as bebemos.
Ainda em cima o suposto responsável ou talvez proprietário quis demonstrar ao tirar uma nova imperial que nós estávamos errados, quando essa mesma imperial vinha também morta. Pelos vistos o padrão de qualidade é esse.
Para nosso espanto a conta foi apresentada com as imperiais.
Muita pena.
Experiência a não repetir.

Mal atendidos. Foi servida cerveja sem estar em condições. A desculpa para tal foi de ser o 3o barril do dia. Sem beber as cervejas, a conta foi apresentada com as cervejas em questão. Foi questionado o porquê de ser cobrado algo que não estava em condições, e a atitude do responsável perante a queixa foi arrogante e totalmente não profissional. Atendimento deplorável perante um problema da casa que não conseguiam resolver.

Came here for lunch. The food was delicious, especially the Old Tavern board, and reasonably priced. Nice outdoor seating in the shade and friendly owner. Would recommend.

One of two places and things that make Faro not boring. The service is exelent and more than friendly. I weren't best or most paying client, but guys remember me and treat me and me partner like friends. If you find yourself in Faro, its must go place for sure.
