Excelente vino. Excelente precio y la cómida olía genial. No la probé porque habíamos hecho reservaciones para otro restaurante y nos topamos este lugarcito en el regreso de la visita a la catedral de Porto.
El vino es de una casa pequeña y los sabores se aprecian en ese detalle.

After two visits have to say that Folias de Baco is best place, where to eat and drink natural wines and food. Simple but very delicius chords. Place is small but always full. Must visit!

Had dinner here this evening. Small place with a lovely atmosphere. We had to wait a little while for a table but that’s understandable given the size of the restaurant. Very attentive service, a simple but well balanced menu, excellent ingredients, and a well constructed wine list. The red wine we tried was one of the best we’ve had in Porto.

If you are a vegetarian travelling with meat eating friends you must go here! Delicious food! Fabulous wine!! Really nicely priced for what you get. Cake was maybe a little bit dry but still very tasty. We ate at a few subpar restaurants in a row that were all highly rated and more popular and this blew them out of the water. 5/5

If you look for your natural wine fix, look no further! This place has all you need : amazing food, fantastic natural wine (made with love by themselves using their own grapes ) lovely staff and a very relaxed atmosphere. And, it’s insanely cheap too! We ordered what in London would have cost us a fortune, and we ended up paying 5.50 euros. Astonishing. Thank you guys, we surely will be back soon!

Sehr lecker, wir hatten das Menü mit Fleisch, es war sehr lecker, die Wurst- und Kösesorten, sowie die gebratene Blutwurst waren sehr aromatisch und als Nachtisch gab es Karamell-Mousse, wirklich empfehlenswert

This is a places one would call a 'hidden gem'. Absolutely fantastic experience. Yes, I rate an experience, because it is not about food or wine only. Its the atmosphere, the service, the simplicity of food, nice wine pairing and the value you get is above amazing. Highly recommended for someone looking for a simple but real food and exceptionally attentive service.

It's a small but very nice place with excellent menu options! We took the non-vegetarian option for 25€ (for two persons). It includes plates of cheese and ham, olives, wine, water or espresso, 2 different slices of a bread like Bruscetta and a Portuguese sausage - everything was delicious! There are only a few tables therefore it is advisable to be there early.

Établissement cosy, calme et idéal pour une pause à deux. Concept très intéressant autour du vin donc ils sont producteurs et de produits de la région (charcuterie et fromages). Du vin de caractère de vieilles vignes mais très bon, des produits frais et de qualité et un service tout en attention et discrétion (et en français). Un excellent moment gustatif passé pour un tarif très raisonnable (25 € à deux). Une belle expérience à Porto, on recommande.

Wr ordered yo second different wine. The Waiter didn't change the glasses. İ kindly asked its reason but he defenced himself he said you try red one, not white or rose. So no need to change. What a ugly reasoning. We paid 34 euros but the dinner quality was sp poor than i think from its reviews. Very poor!

What can we say, basic surroundings, basic food, basic wine and basic choice. Considering our 4 previous meals in the short time we have been here, this was the worst and by far the most expensive. The service was good, took time to explain the menu, and the wines. But felt a little pretentious for me, and the food was either over cooked or saturated in oil.

Great atmosphere, cozy, with very attentive service. They make their own wine, and the cheese and meats are from neighbors, all locally produced in the northern region. Amazing.

Really enjoyed my meal here - ate a lot (3 dishes including a massive plate of sausages with bread) and had a glass of wine for €15. The waiter was clearly passionate about the wine and food and took his time to explain them.
I went solo and was treated really well and not made to rush despite it clearly being busy. The food took a little while to arrive so I was glad to have the bread.
They don't take card or take bookings.

Die Bedienung war zuvorkommend und super freundlich und hat uns anfangs das Menü sowie den Ablauf genauestens erklärt. Für den Service gibt's deswegen 5 Punkte! Das Essen selbst war wirklich sehr lecker. Wir haben uns für die vegetarische Variante entschieden. Hierbei handelte es sich um eher kleine Portionen (Tapas). Die Hausweine haben uns auch sehr gut geschmeckt. Insgesamt waren wir nicht nur mit dem service sondern auch mit dem Essen sehr zufrieden und können das Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Un sitio muy básico y la comida deja mucho que desear. El lugar no es ni acogedor ni con encanto y el baño es para pensárselo dos veces. Sinceramente fuimos por las buenas opiniones y nos dejó mucho que desear. Es un sitio barato, pero vamos sale caro al final...son agradables pero la comida deja mucho que desear, no soy capaz de entender tan buenas críticas, hay mil restaurantes en Oporto infinitamente mejores.

Stumbled upon this cosy restaurant and it was a pleasant surprise. The waiter was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. Waiter recommended the two people menu for $25 euros, which includes two glasses of wine of your choice, bread, olives, toast with speciality toppings, Portuguese sausage, assorted smoked ham and cheese. Would definitely recommend this to any of my friends!

I don’t usually post reviews, but I’ll make an exception for this place. This isn’t fine dining, but it is simple, fresh ingredients that speak for themselves paired with wines of which the taste far outclasses the price. It’s an intimate setting, in which the experience will leave you wondering just how the bill is so low. Could not recommend highly enough.

On y va pour le vin, très raffiné, qu'ils font maison et qu'ils proposent de vendre/exporter. La nourriture est simple mais bonne et plutôt délicate (tapas, charcuterie, fromages, salade). Le service est charmant, mais il faut plutôt prendre son temps pour mieux apprécier.

This place is magical! They produce their own Douro wines and talk you through the selection with real care - we loved the white field blend. The food is also incredible - we had the set vegetarian menu with some fishy additions (bread & olives, a plate of cheeses, a cod salad, a veggie tart, 2 bruchettas) which with two glasses of wine is just 25 euros in total for two - amazing value for a wonderful meal <3

FANTASTIC - stumbled upon this place on the only evening we didn’t have a booking. The service was brilliant from a very well informed waiter who was attentive throughout. The meal was ludicrously good value - Euro30 for 5 tapas dishes and a bottle of wine. Food was simple but quality and all the wine was from their vineyard.

such a lovely place!
they make their own natural wines - we had a bottle of red to share, unfortunately don’t remember which but it tasted great. the man serving us was insanely polite and took time to explain the wine selection. we also arrived at a time when all tables were filled, and he let us know immediately when one opened up.
the atmosphere is very pleasant and i was personally very happy to see vegan options on the menu. definitely recommend!

Amazing place for dinner. It’s got a warm, cosy, atmosphere; staff are incredibly friendly, and the food and wines were delicious. We had the vegetarian set menu which was so well-priced and very filling. Loved everything about it!

La note d'une étoile est attribuée seulement et uniquement au local, malheureusement l'endroit n'est pas aéré du tout, on manque d'air, on respire très mal, une ventilation serait la bienvenue, c'est urgent!
Ma note n'est ni attribuée à leur tapas ni à la carte des vins puisque nous n'avons pas pu rester pour tester à notre grand regret.

En pleno centro de oporto, rua das candeleiros se puede visitar este encantador local. Nosotros fuimos a cenar y es una opción espectacular para una cena romántica, tiene dos menús (uno vegetariano) aunque puedes hacerte el menú que quieras a tu gusto. El vino que sirven es espectacular.

Kind staff members that will take their time to explain everything.. how it works, what their background is and how they prepare the food. Also good advice of which wine to choose with a certain dish. Very tastefull and authentic to the region.. try the alheira chorizo.. !!

El sitio no acepta reservas, así que te acercas y te dicen en cuánto tiempo habrá una mesa libre. El dueño se acerca a la mesa y te explica todos los tipos de vino que cosechan. El menú está bien y toda la comida que sacan es muy buena, cuesta 30€ con una copa de vino o 24 y el precio de la botella que elijas.

Tivemos uma experiência maravilhosa! As comidas do menu são deliciosas e os vinhos são realmente únicos. É um lugar preocupado em refletir sobre a produção daquilo que consumimos e essa atitude precisa ser valorizada. Além disso, o atendimento é incrível, nos explicam cada detalhe.
É importante lembrar que o menu é de porções diversas, não é um jantar com entrada e prato principal. Acho que quem for esperando algo assim pode realmente se decepcionar... mas a comida foi suficiente para duas pessoas saírem satisfeitas e muito felizes.

Had an amazing dinner here where the food and people are both superb. Don’t miss the Bruschetta with a choice of two toppings. I had mushroom with melted cheese, and beetroot with goat cheese and both fab. Mussels and roquette salad is gorgeous. Of course try at least one if not more of the wines. The single varietal Francisca is elegant and went very well with the bruschetta.

We originaly planed for a quick bite to eat at another place, but it was full. So in the rain we had to fin another place. This looked good so we dropped in. And what a luck that was! This is probably the best meal on this vacation. We, that is my wife and me, ordered the local dish menu for two, the full body wine and rounded up with a desert and a late harvest desert wine. All was excelet. That include the food, the wine, the place and the service. And al to all fare price. We will be back on our next trip to Porto.

Amazing atmosphere and wines!
Going there with group of 2, 4, 6 is recommended. Their course menu is super reasonable and filling.
Just keep in mind that Taberna is supposed to be a place for people to drink (and eat) so the food is made to be salty to go with wines.

La taverna è ubicata nei pressi della Torre dos Clerigos, dalla sommità della quale si può godere di una meravigliosa vista della città di Porto. Il locale dispone di pochi coperti, e non accetta prenotazioni. Offre due menu prestabiliti per due o quattro persone. Nel caso si organizzasse un gruppo di persone numericamente dispari, occorre farsi suggerire dal titolare alcuni piatti integrativi. Le pietanze sono di buon livello, così come i vini, il tutto rigorosamente biologico. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è molto buono.

Nous avons passé un excellent moment dans ce restaurant. Le service a été parfait : explication du menu en français, serveur très sympathique et serviable !! Les tapas qui nous ont été proposé étaient très très bonnes sans oublier le vin qui les accompagnait ! Super rapport qualité-prix ... Menu à 30€ pour deux !
Nous recommandons vivement !
PS : prévoir du liquide, les cartes bancaires ne sont pas acceptées.

Great service and food. The flavours of each dish were well thought out, along with the wines that they offer along side them. The ingredients and products they use in all the dishes are locally sourced in Portugal. The wine is organic and natural (minimal or no sulphates). Very lovely atmosphere with a homely vibe and fine dining level of food and at a insanely reasonable price.

We had different types of tapas but none of them were amazing. Plate cheese for 2 was exactly 6 little strips of cheese, salad was good, the blood sausage was ok because of the overly smoke flavor. The tapas with bread were just ok too. They toast the bread which makes it harder to eat, and for some reason they heat the toppings like the prosciutto and the tomatoes and use too much honey drizzle. I would say it's just an average restaurant.

Happened upon this place by chance and I'm so glad we did - lovely staff and delicious cheese, bread and olives. The waiter sat down with us to explain the wines, helped us choose and seemed to enjoy chatting about what we could taste etc. He helpfully gave us some recommendations for beaches to visit and picked some good cheese to accompany the drink. Would really like to go back and have dinner there in the future.

We ate at this amazing restaurant just by chance. We were craving something low key with a good vibe. We ordered the dinner for two which was a charcuterie board of cheese, meats, choice of two wines, and a selection of three things from their menu; smoked sausage, prosciutto with honey, mint, arugula and roasted beets with apple. For dessert we had a caramel pudding. The service was superb. Definitely the best spot we had for dinner.

Wir haben dort zu Abend gegessen. Hier wird nicht gekocht sondern vorbereitete Mahlzeiten im Ofen zubereitet. Es war kein typisches Abendessen aber uns hat es sehr gefallen. Absolutely incredible restaurant! It has a very simple menu (with vegetarian options) but the quality of the food and wine is amazing and it is such incredible value (€30 for tapas for 2 and a bottle of wine). It can get quite busy, so be prepared to queue (or put your name down, go for a drink (would recommend Base Porto around the corner) and come back later. The restaurant is small and the atmosphere is very cosy, would definitely recommend!

Ein wirklich toller Laden. Wir wurden sehr gut bedient und es wurde sich Zeit für uns genommen.
Auch als unerfahrene Weintrinker kommt man hier auf seine Kosten.
Hier ist es wirklich sehr persönlich und herzlich.
Das Essen war köstlich und ein Menü reicht wie angegeben gut für zwei Personen.
Ein zeitiges erscheinen wäre gut, da nicht ohne Ende Platz vorhanden ist. Dies wird dann aber auch belohnt.
Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Abend hier und wir kommen sehr sehr gerne wieder.

What a lovely little place. You can get a set menu with coffee, wine and several dishes to share between two, or choose individual dishes off the menu. The restaurant is small but the service was great and there were tons of vegetarian options. The prices were pretty low so we expected tiny portions but everything was actually pretty large and was really delicious. Would definitely recommend a trip!

Very small, local, lovely food and great service. Total covers probably around 20. All local produce, they make their own (excellent) wine. Não cheguei a entrar e comer, mas já na porta odiei o serviço. O local é minúsculo e não aceita reservas. Quando cheguei lá, estava chovendo e não havia onde sentar. Mandaram-nos esperar na rua. Não há toldo ou onde se proteger da chuva. Não existe nem se quer fila por ordem de chegada. Se quiser muito comer lá, tem de chegar antes de abrir, o que a meu ver é ridículo. Não custa nada fazer um sistema de reservas. Dificilmente voltarei. Há lugares mais simples e com atendimento mais honesto.

Torricados라는 빵은 나오기까지 30분정도가 걸렸고(빵위에 양젖치즈와 찐호박 그리고 루꼴라가 올라가는데 어랜시간이 걸릴이유가 없는데...)맛은 평범했습니다.
소세지는 훈연향이 짙었고 신맛이 나는 독특한 음식이었습니다. 다른 사람들에겐 어떨지 모르겠지만 개인적으로 입맛에 맛지 않았고 와인과도 매칭이 되지 않았습니다.
근처에 호스텔이 있는지 호스텔 손님들이 꽤 있었습니다.
굳이 찾아갈 이유는 없는 식당이었습니다.

Great place for a glass of wine and a small bite. We chose the tapas menu which came with a cheese plate, a ham plate, a sausage and two crostini. The cheese and hams were excellent and came with a generous bread basket with fresh bread. The crostini was good and the sausage as well. The kitchen is simple and the food too: don't expect a Michelin star meal. Note that they only take cash here.

Nosotros probamos el menú degustación que incluye una tabla de quesos, otra de embutidos, dos tostas a elegir, plato de salchichas de pollo picante a la brasa (a escoger también entre chorizo y morcilla), dos cafés y dos copas de vino. A bit of a tourist trap, this place is listed and somehow very highly rated on TripAdvisor and other sites. Not saying I didn't like it but there are nicer spots in Porto with better and more fairly priced food. They are a bit snobbish about their food being organic and all. I cannot say enough good things about Taberna Folias de Baco. The food, wine, atmosphere and service were all perfect. This is actually the restaurant of a winery, and so their wine is, of course, both incredible and affordable. The staff were very knowledgeable about the wines and the sourcing of their ingredients. Indeed, the food is reasonably simple, choosing to showcase fresh, seasonal, well sourced quality ingredients. You will certainly taste the quality and I hope you will be as impressed as we were. We tried the ‘taste of the Douro’ option and were very impressed, so much so that after a disappointing experience at a ‘high end’ restaurant elsewhere, we came back two days later to try the ‘vegetarian taste of the Douro’! After all the wonderful food and wine, including probably the best late harvest dessert wine I have ever had, the cost is very affordable.

Amazing. When they seat you they explain that everything comes from either their farm or other local farms. The food is basically whole ingredients in various combinations. Cheese plate, smoked meat plate, bread with various toppings. I had the bread with pumpkin on one and prosciutto on the other. Both very tasty and filling (3.5 euro). The wine is also produced on their farm. The one I had was rich and flavourful with a good aftertaste. I had ricotta with jam for desert with a sweet wine... I almost licked my plate. Definitely recommend coming here.

La comida es excelente. Tienen solo dos menús degustación (uno para vegetarianos), hecho todo con productos que compran a los vecinos de la zona. Los quesos son exquisitos, el vino fenomenal, las carnes ahumadas están sabrosas y el trato es inmejorable. Todo por 20 euros para dos personas. Muy recomendado si estás en Porto, quieres cenar bien, con productos locales, orgánicos y sin gastar mucho dinero.

Very nice place. The waiters are very nice, place is cozy, and the food very good.
I recommend the vegetarian menu, all the dishes have something special that will surprise you.

Excelente local, con un concepto muy interesante. Son productores de vino y ofrecen dos tipos de menú, hechos con productos de cultivadores y productores locales, cercanos a la zona del duero donde producen el vino. Uno de los menús es vegetariano, y las verduras son de cultivo biologico. La calidad es excelente, tanto cuanto el servicio, la musica y la.decoracion del local. Precios muy asequibles. Lo aconsejo sin ninguna duda!

One of the best dining experiences I've ever had, and I am a BIG fan of eating.
Overview - $20 for: Bread, Olives, Two Glasses of Wines, One Meat Plate, One Cheese Plate, One Plate Sausages, Two Torricados, and Two Cups of Coffee. FANTASTIC DEAL.
Cesar greeted us as soon as we walked in, was extremely kind (speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese), and explained any item on the menu with great detail. Must get item was the Prosciutto Torricado.

Excelente ambiente, decoración auténtica. Parece la casa de la abuela que sirve cosas ricas. Vino de la casa, filosofía de productos orgánicos y excelente sazón. Si vuelvo a Oporto seguro volveré. Muy buena música y precios.

First of all, all the products they use are coming from the region, which makes the food really delicious and tasteful. The food is simple, but because of its simplicity so geniously good. We had the menu for 20€ which is an unbeatable price for what you get. And the wines are really high class, and not even expensive as well. The waiter was attentive, willing to help us and honest.
Next time we come to Porto we are going to eat here again.

Tapas zrobione z własnych wyrobów ( prosciutto, chorizo, sery, etc). Do tego wino z własnej winnicy i ciekawy klimat.

Delicious food, they have a good selection of their own wines. Good vegetarian options and great prices. Set menu for 2, with wine and coffee for only 20 Euro. Really cute little spot.

Ein Traum! Etwas abseits in der Seitenstraße gelegen bekommt man noch eher einen Platz im recht kleinen Restaurant. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und sprach perfektes Englisch, lässt einen dazu nicht im Regen stehen sondern führt sehr professionell durch die Karte und erklärt das Konzept des Ladens. Das Essen ist extrem lecker und dazu supergünstig. Ich fasse es immer noch nicht. Das mit Abstand beste Restaurant unseres ganzen Portugalaufenthalts! Übrigens gibt es auch ein sehr gutes vegetarisches Menü.

Petit restaurant de tapas atypique.
Le personnel est fort sympathique et nous a fait découvrir quelques spécialités portugaises.
