Though a little past due (told you I would post, Miguel ;) ), I had the pleasure of going Canyoning last September with Miguel and the crew- it was amazing. They were very professional, passionate, and so much fun! I actually had gone canyoning the day before with another company, and I am SO thankful I decided to tough it out and go again with Oporto Tours! The experience was incomparable. The views were incredible, the jumps were a blast, not to forget the car ride and fun spot for lunch afterwards were all quite an adventure! I could not recommend this enough if you're at all interested in hiking, adventure, waterfalls, cliff jumping, jokes :) , and meeting lovely people along the way.

The day trip with the Oporto Adventures team was the highlight of our stay in Porto. You get to spend some time in nature, hike and enjoy amazing waterfalls and swimming in lagoons. Everything is also organised with a huge respect to the community in Geres and some funds from the purchased tickets go to special projects that are supposed to help preserving this beautiful place. Special thanks to Rui, who is such a natural as a guide. He tried to chat at least a bit with all of us (8 participants), explained the most important things about Geres and its community and made us feel comfortable. Obrigada Rui!

For beginners stand up paddle boarding, these guys are excellent. They picked us up from home, took us to a beautiful countryside location with a serene river, and taught us how to paddle. We had paddling in the silence, and river swimming too. Then Nuno brought is straight back to our door. All in all, perfect. Highly recommended.

Excellent tour with amazing guides and a great group of like-minded people. Peneda-Geres NP is a beautiful part of Portugal, just a couple of hours from Porto and well worth the trip!

The trip was great!! We were picked by Nuno at the right time. I was expecting at least 15 people going on this trip, but it was only 6, which made this trip very special and personalised. Because of the small group, our guide focused on individuals, and it felt more like going for a trip with friends rather than a group of people. We visit two lagoons which were stunning! It is like a hidden place from fairy tail. You will have to hike for a while to get there, so I recommend you to take comfy shoes. Chilly, but not too cold water was a perfect reward for us in the hot weather. After the swim, we went to a small town for lunch. We were served with full plates of typical Portuguese tapas. And I swear to God!!! You guys need to try these olives! Everything was made/collect locally, (even the wine) so you won't get an experience like that anywhere! Everything accompanied with a nice view. The whole trip was just a great experience, listening to local stories and myths, talking about the different cultures and traditions... You can't describe it; you need to experience it!!!

I've more than 7 years of traveling all around the Mediterranean basin and Europe and I have to admit that is really difficult to find organized tours that can combine adventure, relax, good food and culture. But they did it! in the sweeping background of Peneda-Geres national park. Thank you for the amazing experience

What a great experience, start to finish, everything was taken care of. The staff we excellent from booking with Nuno in the office, to Paulo collecting us from our apartment in Porto. If you want to see the national parks in the North of Portugal, this is definitely the way to do it. We were taken down river along abseils, zip lines and lagoon jumps. Our host Paulo was great fun, and took us out for drinks and Burgers after. I cannot recommend Oporto Adventure Tours enough. All the gear was clean, comfortable and of high quality, the location breathtaking and the day's activity well planned to suit various levels of fitness without our group. Thank you everyone for a great day. Money well spent.

Last week I went to the Geres national park with this agency and it was one of the best experiences I have had in my life! We have seen the most amazing places hidden in the park, tasted local organic food and had so much fun! :D Definitely recommend!

The best day tour in Porto A really enjoyable day. We started early in the morning and we arrived at the Fafião village around 10 am. We left the 4x4 and after we hiked a little, we arrived at the first spot: the waterfalls. What a place ?! It was a big waterfall with crystal clear water that ended up to a small lake. The purity of the landscape was so tempting. Fortunately, I had my swim shorts, so I got in the lake. The water is so cold this time of the year but at the same time it's so refreshing. After that, we hiked back to the 4X4 and went to a viewpoint where one can have a majestic 360° view of the place. Then, we went to the only restaurant of the village and had a hearty meal of traditional Portuguese food. At that point, we had the change to get to know each other and recharge our batteries. Afterwards, we headed to a different waterfall, and then we explored the Fojos do lobo (an old wolf trap). The day ended by returning to the village where a fundraising auction was taking place. We had the chance to interact with local people who seemed really warm-hearted and treated us with some local wine. Last but not least, this day wouldn't have been so great if we hadn't Luiz (our guide). For the whole trip he was trying to make everybody feel comfortable. He told us a lot about the flora and fauna of Gerês and the way of living in Fafião village. Everyone in the village knew him and that means that these kind of tours really benefit local people. You should try it !!! P.S. trekking boots would be really helpful

Geweldige dag met een super enthousiaste gids, met onze vriendengroep als vijftigers een mooie dag genoten van de natuur, hiken. s 'ochtends werden we voor de deur opgehaald en rond 19.00 terug, genoten van de lunch die ook prima was. Echte aanrader!

Great experience! The kayak tour in Gerês National Park was absolutely amazing thanks to our guide Luis. The day included a delicious lunch and many exciting activities (even a chance to cliff jump). Would definitely reccomend!

Super journée dans le parc de Geres !!!! Grace à Mario, nous avons découvert des trésors naturels que lui seul peut faire découvrir. Mario a été au top avec les enfants, sécurisant tout le trajet depuis le stationnement du 4x4 jusqu'à la rivière. Il nous a tout expliqué sur le parc, sur les essences d'arbres et les animaux qui y vivent. La visite du village est également super !!!! Et le déjeuner parfait !!! Merci Mario pour cette journée dont nous nous souviendrons longtemps !!!!

Great tour!! Isabel was THE BEST tour guide. I'd recommend asking for her! The whole experience was great including the outdoors experience but also getting to know the culture of the people who live near the national park. The lunch was the best food we had in Portugal! We did the 4X4 tour which went up the mountain in Gerês Park. We hiked up/down two different trails which ended at waterfall/lagoon locations.The natural beauty of the park is amazing. Breathtaking views all around and absolute wonder for Mother Nature. It’s an awe inspiring experience. Luis was our guide and is a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He was courteous, funny, informative, and most of all responsible. You can tell he enjoys what he does and takes pride in making sure you get the most out of your adventure. The lunch is a real full blown sit down Portuguese meal and absolutely fantastic. Lastly, he was great with my kids and kept them engaged answering all their questions, no matter how silly. Thank you Luis!

Peneda-Gerês National Park Tour was an amazing experience! The tours are made by people with real passion. You'll get to the places which you were never find by yourself, you'll see, smell and taste the nature there. Highly recommended!

The bus picked us up at our hotel and I really enjoyed the drive through the mountains with great views over valleys and villages. The guides were really helpful and gave us the equipment for the rafting tour. We had so much fun paddling through the rapids and waves and jumping into the river. An experience I will never forget. I highly recommend the rafting tour and definitely would do it again!

Day of adventure in Gerês National Park! I've been going to Gerês since I was a child and this tour surprised me with spots I still didn't know about! Great hikes through the mountains that lead to waterfalls and lagoons, amazing views and a 4x4 that'll take you to all these cool places! Definitely recommend it!

One of the best experiences so far. The atmosphere in the park is absolutely amazing. I loved waterfalls, lakes and breathtaking array of mountains. Besides, we had a great lunch which gave us a possibility to know the Portuguese traditional cuisine better. Highly recommended! A tour to remember! It was an amazing experience in the National Park of Gêres. The tour includes several activities and provides an integrated view of the park. We went on hiking, we visited the waterfalls and a picturesque village.There, we tasted traditional meals in a local restaurant and I felt like being home. Nuno, the tour guide was really helpful and made me feel safe during the whole tour. I definitely recommended it to people of all ages and also to those with no previous experience in outdoor activities.

It was a really great tour of Geres, taking in some cracking swimming spots and fantastic local food. The whole process was made really simple getting picked up and dropped off at the hotel.

My boyfriend and I have been backpacking for 3 weeks now through Portugal and this activity has been hands down the MOST FUN experience yet! I'm so glad I came across this tour company. I was expecting a larger tour group to be with us, but there were only 5 of us in total, including our guide, Ricardo. Ricardo was amazing!! He was super knowledgeable about the park and of Portuguese history and current affairs, so we had some super interesting and informative conversations with him. He also has a very energetic, fun, and friendly personality. You can tell he loves what he does and is very passionate about the environment and nature. Luckily, the weather this day was on our side. The hike was moderate difficulty, but I had plenty of rest periods and we got to swim in these beautiful lagoons. For lunch, we stopped in a small town and had the privilege of eating an incredible traditional Portuguese meal. This meal was by far one of the best we've had in Portugal. This activity really gets you off the beaten path and allows to you explore Portugal's beautiful nature. This trip left us feeling hungry for more adventure and wanting to see more of Portugal's nature parks. If you're visiting Porto for more than a couple of days, you MUST go on this tour!

Amazing day! If you have time in Porto I would highly recommend signing up for this company. The guide was very funny, knowledgeable and professional. The Gerês Park is beautiful and we discovered wonderful lagoons, waterfalls and the lunch with traditional gastronomy was divine. The hiking was truly inspiring.

Fantastic tour! These guys take you to the heart of Portugal and show you something I thought was lost before seeing it!
