A melhor rent a car no Porto. Depois de experimentar várias e ficar sempre chateado com as franquias, depósitos e taxas escondidas; a avis e budget são a empresa mais honesta. Não há depósito antecipado, as franquias em caso de acidente são razoáveis se não quiser pagar seguro e não há taxas escondidas. A única taxa que normalmente pago é para o combustível (depósito cheio) e via verde. Carros novos, serviço eficiente. Algum tempo de espera em alturas de maior tráfego.

Be careful of the bait and switch and extra charges...don’t be rushed through the check in and check out process - question every line item for clarification. My final charges were close to double my original reservation price. 1st they did not have the compact automatic car I reserved and offered me the next available automatic vehicle....I did not understand I was going to be charged the premium difference. What they told me and what they wrote into the contract is not what I understood to be the case. Normally rental car companies give you the next available car wit no added cost. 2 my original reservation warned me that if I did do bring the car back full of fuel I would be charged a full tank of gas. I brought the car back full and was still charged a full tank a gas. 3 Upon return I was not given a final copy of my invoice...they said it would be immediately emailed to me while I waited at the counter. It never arrived and when I questioned it I was told the system was down. Upon return home I had to follow up several times to get the final invoice at which time it dawned on me that that my final charges were in fact close to double my reserved price. The only extra charge that was fully explained to me and I agreed to at check in was the Toll meter. I have tried to deal with Budget Portugal since on multiple occasions but to no avail - they come back to That I agreed to everything...quite frankly I feel duped. I have rented cars over a30 year period...many years over 50 days a year and I have never felt cheated like this before. Again be careful, don’t let them rush you to sign without fully explaining every line item and do not buy it will be settled once you return the car. Lesson learned - Buyer Beware with Budget Porto Airport. Friendly yes, transparent no.

Make sure they don't charge a "Roadside Assistance service RSN" fee hidden inside the additional products section of the contract. At pick up and during return, the representatives never mentioned it and I had to ask customer service for explanations. I have only asked for the toll device but the way the contract is designed and the representative go trough it when you sign it makes it very easy for Budget to say that you have accepted this product.However, it has never been mentioned by the representative and this is deep inside the contract (Only RSN is written right by the device fee without any explanation). It seems Budget is no better than any other to find a way to charge you for extra options you don't need.

Très mauvaise expérience. Quelques jours après avoir rendu mon véhicule, j'ai été prélevé de frais purement inexplicables. Cerise sur le gâteau, un mois plus tard on me prélève à nouveau!! Après avoir passé plusieurs appels et adressé plusieurs mails restés sans réponse, aucun pseudo conseiller ne sait vous expliquer la raison de ces prélèvements ...C'est un comble... Je déconseille très fortement de louer chez eux!

J'ai loué en décembre 2019. Je n'ai pas pris leur assurance. Nous avons fais le tour du véhicule seul qui ne devait avoir aucun défaut selon le bordereau remise 2 min avant. Nous faisons constater une rayure avant gauche par l'opératrice de l'agence qu'il l'inscrit manuellement sur ce bordereau. Résultat, 2 mois après nous constatons un prélèvement de 200 €. J'envoi le scan pour preuve et rien. Donc attention, rien de sérieux, voleur....

I booked and paid for hire car through Auto-Europe in November last and was told there would be nothing more to pay when picking up the car from Budget car hire in Porto Airport. As Budget is part of the Avis group I thought nothing could go wrong. It just goes to show how gullible I was to trust in a name because as it turned out. I was totally ripped off by counter staff and was not aware of it till receiving my credit card statement. Having refused the offer of anything other than the transponder for motorway tolls, I signed (As I thought) for the car. As it turned out I had been cleverly duped into signing for a ridiculously expensive roadside breakdown, which I had already refused and grossly overcharged for fuel I did not use. After bitterly complaining I have received a verbal apology and been told I will be refunded the fuel overcharge but the breakdown insurance charge will not be refunded. I urge anyone hiring a car anywhere. No matter how busy they are, take your time to read everything and "Be very, very careful of these {Charming?} counter staff sharks". This rip-off has been an eyeopener to me but it is a NO, NO to future dealings with Avis, Budget and sadly Autoeurope

Két autót béreltünk, mind a két esetben utólag több összeg került levonásra minden magyarázat nélkül. Két hónapja próbáljuk megtudni az okokat, de még válaszra sem méltatnak. A foglaláskor biztosítást is kötöttünk, ennek ellenére a helyszínen megpróbáltak rábeszélni egy szuper biztosításra, ami közel a kölcsönzési díj kétszerese lett volna. (Mint kiderült, a netes biztosítás utólag fizeti vissza a kár összegét a biztosítottnak, az általuk ajánlottnál nincs helyszínen fizetendő csak az önrész) Nem kívántunk nagyon drágán kölcsönözni autót, mégis sikerült. Senkinek nem javaslom!

Long wait to get a car. Staff is nice, of course there's always added cost (taxes and price of rental of transponder) to what I was quoted online, but still decent. Everything was clear, take the time to ask questions if not clear. No rush. Just know what you need and what you don't need. I refused insurance since I had it with Visa. I took the transponder (for electronic toll, it is a MUST). I was charged the right amount on my Visa for the electronic toll. No complaint there. I give 5 stars for the car return. It was extremely fast, courteous staff, called the shuttle to pick us up. Much better service than at Lisbon airport.

Do not use Budget car rental at Porto Airport. Paid for rental at time of booking through Air Transat, then was charged again at time of pickup. I thought the charge was just for security reason and it would be reversed at time of return but no, I paid double the amount. I tried to email them to ask what the invoice was for and they never replied. I will never use them again.

Everything was ok until when I had to return the car. I had to pay 25euros extra for activation of highway pass which nobody told me about. I was sold with 2euros a day for this pass and nobody mentioned this hidden cost.

Ich habe über billiger-mietwagen.de ein Fahrzeug zur Übernahme in Porto, Portugal gebucht und im voraus 117 EUR dafür bezahlt inklusive Vollkasko ohne Selbstbeteiligung. Nach meiner Rückkehr wurden dann nochmal 118 EUR von der Mietwagenfirma abgebucht. Angeblich weil ich zusätzliche Services gebucht haben soll. Meiner Meinung nach wurden mir diese Kosten untergejubelt und da man den Mietvertrag auch nicht mehr in Papierform bekommt sondern per E-Mail ist man wirklich machtlos, wenn man diese Betrug erst im Nachgang bemerkt. Darüberhinaus hat die Mietwagenfirma auch nur 89 EUR statt der 117 EUR als Voucher-Betrag angerechnet. Von billiger-mietwagen kommt da keine Unterstützung. Ich fühle mich betrogen. Von der Mietwagenfirma Budget/Avis und von billiger-mietwagen.de!!! Niemals wieder! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I booked a vehicle for the takeover in Porto, Portugal via billiger-mietwagen.de and paid 117 EUR in advance including full insurance without deductible. 118 EUR deducted from the rental car company. Supposedly because I have booked additional services. In my opinion, this lease was not sent to me in paper form by e-mail, if you notice this fraud only after the fact. In addition, the car rental company only 89 EUR instead of the 117 EUR credited as a voucher amount. From cheaper rental car there is no support. I feel cheated. From the rental car company Budget / Avis and from cheaper-mietwagen.de !!! Never again!

Tricks tricks tricks. They try to charge you more on the transponder device Via Verde than previously said. Comment "2-3 €/day for rent". On the bill: 5.8 € / day for rent. Asking why the price is almost triple now:" Oh sorry sorry, wrong date." Extra fees are to be paid even if my agency check24.desent me a document saying all fees and taxes are included. Furthermore I paid 78 € but the "voucher" of my agency was only 65 € in their "system". As mentioned before all taxes and fees are supposed to be included. Arguing didnt help, all the documents were sent to my agency check24.de. Now I am waiting for a reply...I cant recommend this sort of business model at all! Avoid them!

Expensive, insurance added 300 euros after a intransparent online reservation where I thought I had already purchased full coverage. Friendly and fairly fast handling with minimal waiting times and a nice upgrade car helped to balance the costs (3 weeks 1050.-). Definitly recommend the Highway Tax package as it will be cheaper than paying single tickets.

Absolute Frechheit und Abzocke! Zusatzversicherungen wurden abgeschlossen, obwohl ich dies 10x verneint habe!!! Über 400 EUR mehr bezahlt! Ich musste den Vertrag via Tablet unterschreiben. Die abzocker Dame scrollte einach hinunter und forderte mich den Vertrag zu unterschreiben! Ich erhielt den Vertrag später per Email. Da war es schon zu spät, ich habe den Vertrag erst gelesen, nachdem ich diese Kommentrare hier gelesen habe!!! Absolute Frechheit und Abzockerei!!! Absolute Frechheit!!!!!! NIE mehr bei BUDGET!!! Unbedingt sofort den Vertrag nach Abschluss, anschauen!!!!!!!!!!

** Attention** : Arnaque à l'assurance location voiture à l'agence BUDGET-AVIS à l'aéroport de PORTO. J'ai loué préalablement un véhicule via le site de RYANAIR qui utilise les services de la plateforme CARTRAWLER pour la location d'un véhicule pour la période du 14 au 21 juillet 2019 pour un montant de 167€. Lors du retrait du véhicule à l'aéroport de PORTO, l'hôtesse m'a demandé si je souhaitais l'assurance rachat de franchise, je lui ai répondu NON, sachant d'autant plus que je payais avec ma carte bancaire VISA Premier qui prend en charge ce type d’assurance en cas de litige. Or lors de la restitution du véhicule le 21 juillet, l'agence BUDGET-AVIS m'a prélevé en plus, un montant de 164€ correspondant à l'assurance rachat de franchise que j’avais refusé ainsi que tout un tas de services supplémentaires (sans détails) dont je n'ai à aucun moment fait la demande. Il s'agit d'une escroquerie bien rodée par cette agence d'après les différents articles et avis qui courent à présent sur internet. De plus ils ne vous donnent plus de support papier du contrat et si vous n’avez pas internet sur votre lieu de vacance, impossible donc de vérifier votre contrat et CGD. Je vous conseille de réserver chez les autres loueurs car cette agence profite de votre fatigue et du décalage pour vous voler et du coup le prix de votre location voiture est plus que doublé. Dans mon cas, la location est revenue à 331€ au lieu de 167€. Enfin, l’état du véhicule qui m’a était remis était dans un état déplorable, véhicule rayé sur tous les côtés et même très fortement endommagé sur la partie arrière et sale à l’intérieur. En 20 ans de locations de voitures je n’avais jamais vu ça auparavant...quelque-soit m’a prochaine destination, plus jamais je ne réserverais chez BUDGET-AVIS. Grosse arnaque, agence BUDGET-AVIS à fuir si vous ne voulez pas avoir de mauvaises surprises à votre retour.

La réservation était de 250 euros pour 10j mais en ajoutant l'assurance le prix est tout de suite monté à 785 euros !!!! Trop de charges supplémentaire, compter 85 euros de surcharge seulement parce que la réservation est faite proche de l'aéroport.... C'est n'importe quoi...

Collection process relatively easy. Car return not so good, office only opens at 07h00. No key safe to drop off and go. Problem if you are on an early flight. All the competitor companies open early. Last time I will use Avis/Budget.

Friendly competent staff, no aggressive upselling. Straightforward, simple booking and collection. AVIS always comes through on quality, ease of use and practicality. Not once have I ever had a problem with an AVIS car or booking. I even got a free car upgrade because what I booked was not back yet. Excellent!

I hired a car in this company on Porto's airport in April 2018, it was a 100% positive experience. The price was very cheap (keeping in mind that my rental period included Easter). The attendance was great, very friendly and quick. Picking up the car was reasonably quick, and returning the car didn't took more than 5 minutes. I recommend this company and I will be using it again on a next time.

If you like that feeling of being ripped off and shafted then I recommend the experience at Budget Avis Car Rental. They get you through the door with a ridiculously low online quote. Then the hard sell / mind games begin. You discover that the quote you have been given comes with an astronomical insurance excess – the kind that would leave you, and quite possibly a Russian oligarch, in serious financial difficulties if you were unlucky enough to have a problem. The choice given is go with it or reduce the excess to zero. No offer is given to reduce it to something more reasonable, which most people would. This ‘super damage waiver’ comes with a myriad of other stuff with extra charges that only become apparent at the end the process. You then feel obliged. One of these extras is to ‘upgrade’ the standard breakdown cover that only operates Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm to a 24/7 service. If breakdown cover is not 24/7 it is not then breakdown cover in my book. Absolutely ridiculous - who would ever buy such a restricted breakdown ‘service’ in the first place? I bet you cannot buy one on the open market in any country in the world. Do not get me started on the automatic toll device. The representative cleverly plays a mind game on those who have not done their research to a point they then feel forced. Oh and when they are quoting these costs they are telling you the price without the 23% VAT included. Nice trick. All sounds quite cheap. Anyway, my fault for not doing my research. I fell into the tourist trap. However, once bitten twice shy as they say. I will not be using this company again and I recommend no one else does too.

The staff of Budget Oporto airport or cleaning company stole a very expensive headphones. I fotgot them in the car and I called 2 days later and they told me they weren't in the car. The car wasn't rent in this days. Only budget and cleaning company workers drove the car. It´s clear. They stole my headphones. Regrettable. I'll never rent a car to Budget-Avis
