Very friendly staff, near the metro station and all attractions. Poor breakfast, noisy guest house, you can ear everything from outside your room, I wake up many times during the night, when someone walking up and down the stairs. Who clean the room make the bed only, the toilet remain as you leave it.

Excellent small guesthouse in quiet street but near a metro station. Room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. Cleaning of the room could be a bit more thorough but otherwise service and friendliness of staff score top marks. Would return here om a future visit.

Das Hotel und seine Lage waren perfekt. Beides eine 1 mit Sternchen. Wir konnten alles zu Fuß erreichen, selbst die 7km zum Strand waren schön zu laufen, da man von der traumhaften Stadt so einiges sieht.

Design und Lage des Apartments waren toll. Auch das Frühstück und die Betreuung waren super. Das Bett war sehr bequem und das Zimmer geräumig. Gewünscht hätten wir uns noch einen Schrank und einen Ganzkörperspiegel. Alles in allem eine tolle Unterkunft!

Beautiful hotel, spacious, architectural, lovely, warm Christmas feel. Manuel our hostess couldn’t do enough for us, very hospitable, welcoming & amazing with our 2 little children they loved him. They were greeted with a chocolate santa for breakfast made their day their little faces lit up . Location central surrounded by gorgeous restaurants & coffee shops, portuguese cakes are out of this world! A magical Christmas feel with the shops & coffee shops decorated for Christmas, Christmas light switch on & Father Christmas in the shopping centre! Definitely would return to Malmerendas we loved it

What an amazing place. The staff were great. The hotel is amazing. We stayed in the loft / terrace room. It was beautiful. Only negative comment is that tea and coffe being charged for in the room seemed a little bit out of character of the personal service. We will be back. Hopefully for the 24th June festival.

Wonderful hospitality and service! 10-15 min walk from main attractions and restaurants, cute outdoor space, free breakfast, and accommodating staff. Our only warning is that we stayed on the top floor and the ceilings are very low if you are tall.

Établissement très chaleureux et cosy : les chambres sont fidèles aux photos. Super accueil de Laura qui a été aux petits soins durant ces 3 jours. Très bien situé, au calme mais proche des animations ! Petite cour à l’arrière très agréable. Nous recommandons !

Great boutique property, rooms was really quiet. Watch your head in the loft room, only negative was nowhere to dry towels. Would fully recommend!!

I booked 3 nights at Malmerendas for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday after reading all the great reviews - however we had a very different experience. For £150 a night I would expected more - there was no conditioner, tissues or safe (quite basic amenities) and you have to pay for the coffee in your room. The breakfast was very basic. The fresh bread was nice, but the ham, cheese and juice etc were straight out of a packet or can. For a ‘boutique’ hotel It wouldn’t take much to source some fresh local produce. It also felt rationed, and became somewhat awkward since we had to constantly get up to ask for more milk, butter, water etc. Nothing is left on the side. No one asked how our stay was, and having told them it was my boyfriend’s birthday in advance it would have been nice if our stay was made to feel special, considering there’s only 5 guests at any one time. However, the design of the hotel is lovely, it’s just a shame the overall experience wasn’t.

The staff at the Malmerendas all knew the city, had suggestions of what we might like in terms of sights and meals and proved to be good judges of our tastes.

Attic room has a lot of space but the bed is only 18 inches off the ground-not for the elderly or people with back problems. it is a 3 floor walk-up. Otherwise a great spacious room with a kitchenette. Miguel and Laura are the friendliest and most helpful hosts.

The hotel is very small, only 6 rooms. When I arrived, the front door was locked. I rang the bell, no answer, the person at the from desk was on a lunch break and theres no one else covering. They said they sent me an email asking when Id be arriving, but that email went straight to my junk mail folder and I never saw it. The property was listed as 4 star, but the rooms were very basic. Even by European hotel standards, I dont think its 4 star. The best part of the hotel, since its so small, the service from the staff is excellent. Very helpful, detailed suggested, directions, and help to make it overall a nice stay.

I was very excited to stay at this hotel because it got excellent reviews- we had a very different experience. The check in was OK but not very informative. The room itself is small, which would be OK if it was clean. It was filthy. The carper is stained, the bathroom floor looks like it has never even been washed and the walls are very dirty. In terms of the room, everything in the room you are charged for. Even coffee and tea. This is absurd. To conclude, the court yard is nice but if you open your balcony doors on the backside ALL you smell is smoke from people smoking below. If you are sensitive to smoke at all you simply cannot open the doors. Overall, very disappointing.

Very nice n clean, decent location, breakfast was a bit basic - but meant we could enjoy a bigger lunch!

Es un sitio genial para hacer una escapada de fin de semana. Las habitaciones están decoradas con mucho gusto. Nos quedamos en el Garden Studio, merece la pena por lá bañera en la que puedes hacer largos y las vistas al jardín. Todo es estupendo, lo único a mejorar sería que el desayuno incluyese fruta o algo caliente, pero en general un trato excelente. Ésta a 5 minutos de la estación de Bolhão y luego puedes ir andando a cualquier sitio. Repetiría seguro

Un sitio increíble y precioso para dormir. Todas las comodidades, dormitorio enorme, una bañera gigante. La habitación decorada sencilla pero elegante. Nuestro dormitorio daba a un jardin, muy tranquilo y silencioso. El desayuno que contratamos incluía café (cápsulas Nespresso), té, dos tipos de pan, jamón, queso, mantequilla, miel, mermelada y pasteles de nata (cruasán un día).

Wir waren 3 Nächte im Malmerendas. Wir wurden sehr freunlich empfangen, und gleich mit Infos über Porto und Tipps eingedeckt, dann kam ein wenig die Enttäuschung: Die als Suite angekündigte Variante entpuppte sich als ganz gewöhnliches, eher kleines Zimmer. Viele nette Möbel, aber kein Schrank, so dass wir immer wieder über die offenen am Boden liegenden Koffer fielen. Das Bad ist sehr gross, war aber ständig muffig feucht, eine Heizung gibt es nicht. Im Zimmer gibt es ein Klimagerät, dass auch heizen kann - bis zum Bad kommt die warme Luft aber kaum. So blieb uns nur der Haar-Fön, um halbwegs eine brauchbare Temperatur zu erreichen. Auch in Porto kann es kalt werden! Das Bett ist sehr bequem um das Positive zu erwähnen, bevor wir leider die Sauberkeit ansprechen müssen. Man muss keine Schweizer Massstäbe ansetzen, aber Haare auf dem Boden, in der Wanne, Staub und Kniest in den Ecken ist eher weniger Boutique Hotel gerecht. Kleinlich ist, dass selbst die Nespresso Kapseln oder ein Teebeutel (es gab die sagenhafte Auswahl von 1x Earl Grey und 1x Frucht) verrechnet werden. Noch was Postives: die Lage. Man kommt überall zu Fuss hin und wenn das Zimmer nach hinten zum Hof liegt ist es sehr ruhig...vorne ist das eher weniger der Fall. Ebenso die Zimmertüren, die ein guter Sichtschutz sind aber jedes gesprochen Wort auf dem Gang (und umgekehrt) gut hörbar machen, also nichts für Flitterwochen! Insgesamt also leider eine Enttäuschung, es gibt sicher besseres in Porto.

Ein sehr tolles, familiäres Hotel. Die Reception ist nicht 24h besetzt, aber das ist kein Problem, da man bei Fragen jederzeit anrufen kann. Unser Zimmer im Dachgeschoss war wunderschön und sehr sauber. Die Lage ist ebenfalls sehr gut, in ca 5min ist man bei der Metrostation Bolhao.

Easy to reach from airport; Very good bed and big bathroom. Aircondition was helpful. Very nice welcome and a lot of help, organiseing port-wine tour and dinner. It was great!!!

Wonderful lodge! Very centrally located, stylish decor, and very friendly staff (run by two self-made business women). On the downside, our room was getting very hot during the day, despite air con. Probably because our room was right underneath the roof top. On the other hand, we had a nice balcony in return. So, bit if a trade-off. But we would definitely recommend staying in this place!

We loved our stay, and I would definitely return! - The service and assistance from the staff were always outstanding from our arrival to the end of our stay. - Perfect location for our trip, only minutes away on foot from the Bolhao station. - The room interior was cozy, clean and comfortable. The en-suite bathroom was spacious. The bathtub was classic, far from the modern designs. It could be not too comfortable for some. - Only one negative issue I had - the wall between the room and hallway was (understandably for such historic buildings) not too thick so that the noise from the hallway was often perceivable inside the room.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und unser Zimmer war genial und schön. Service und Hilfestellung bei allen Fragen war genial und gut.Wir mussten uns anfangs an einen nächtlichen Lärmpegel einer Innenstadt etwas gewöhnen aber das ist eben die Sachlage bei einer zentralen Wohnlage. Wir haben es auf jeden Fall genossen.....

Un lugar especial, diferente, en un edificio reformado con un gusto exquisito que respeta el canon clásico y añade el diseño actual. Muy buena acogida, e información bien seleccionada de los lugares de interés de Oporto. Muy recomendable.

Can't recommend enough. Beautiful rooms, clean and Sofia was extremely helpful. Very well priced for what you are getting. The location is a little bit further out from the centre but it's still easily walkable and there are some great furniture shops near by.

スタッフのヒューゴさんが遅くに到着した私たちを迎えてくれました。 本当はチェックイン時間を過ぎていたのですが、事前にメールで確認があり、待っていてくれました。とても細やかな方で、日本人の感覚にとてもフィットすると思います。内装はかなりこだわりがあるようで、ハンガーやティッシュケース等、隅々まで手を抜かないインテリアに驚きました。食器類も充実しています。 ベッドの質もとても良かったです。掃除も行き届いておりとても清潔。アメニティもお洒落。 またポルトの見どころやお勧めの店を丁寧に教えてくださいました。 前の道路はコインパーキングですが、宿の駐車場も目の建物内に借りているとのことで利用させていただきました。

Malmerendas is a lovely and cozy boutique loading with a particular attention to style and design. We stayed in the suite deluxe enjoying its nice balcony. Hugo has been a special host, his recommendations on Porto's restaurant and main attractions were precious to fully appreciate the experience avoiding touristic places. (+ the nespresso coffee machine in the room it's always a plus)

Excellent stay here in a great location. Hugo and the rest of the team were really helpful in this fantastic boutique apartment with everything you need and then some.

Lovely place to stay in Porto!!! Simple, elegant but warm decorations, great location with only 2 minute walk to metro and 10 minute to the central town. Hugo is the best owner we've ever met!!! I wish I can rate it as 6 star or more!!!
