Amazing charcoal grilled food. The rump steak (picanha) was cooked just perfectly and the ribs (piano) were chewy while still moist and so flavorful (sweet and spicy)...
Plus, the people were extremely friendly and if you need they speak both Portuguese and English.
PS: the place is usually for takeaway but it has a few tables to sit down.
So worth the detour!!! Fully recommend and adding it to my yearly restaurant tour!!!

Lugar un poco escondido, pero un sitio de 10!
Nos recomendaron el pollo, la picanha, y la maminha los propietarios. Pedimos los tres para compartir, y fue un acierto, todo estaba buenísimo, acompañado de la guarnición que se prefiera, ensalada, patatas o arroz.
Los propietarios muy cercanos y atentos, además hablan varios idiomas. Lugar recomendable al 100%
Personalmente, lo mejor, la picanha.

Les serveurs sont d'une extrême gentillesse. Nous avons été super bien reçus. Les spars ribs sont vraiment excellents et les prix sont vraiment très peu élevés. Je recommande à 100%. La salle intérieure est très petite du coup le restaurant est vite complet. Mais quand il fait beau, il y a de la place à la terrasse.

Food is absolutely brilliant. Very unassuming location but worth wandering over if you're looking for some great food. We had the ribs, piri piri chicken, black beans and some sides. All of it excellent, especially the ribs. The sausage is also fantastic from what we sampled. Staff are also great fun, excellent service and generally just nice people. Definitely gonna go back before we head home. Best meal we have had in Albufeira. Thanks!

Para empezar iba a poner atención deficiente, pero es que directamente no hubo atención, estuvimos más de media hora esperando a que nos tomara nota y lo único que veíamos era como iba atendiendo mesas que llegaban después que nosotros.
Hablando con él y comunicandole de nuestra "existencia" en su local, lo único que nos pidió fue calma de una manera un poco chulesca.
Viendo que seguía atendiendo mesas decidimos marcharnos.
La comida no sé si está buena, yo llegamos ni a las bebidas...
Tiene a una niña pequeña (hablo de unos 7 años) atendiendo mesas que, lejos de parecer adorable, para mi en este caso resulta como mínimo incómodo.

I have to say that this is the best piri piri chicken I've had in Portugal, and I've tried it in 8 different cities. The piri piri sauce was created by the owner and is a family secret recipe. It is exceptional and I highly recommend giving it a try.

Hemos estado cenando la noche del Viernes 22 de Marzo y la verdad que una grata sorpresa.
Pollo al carbón que está buenísimo y de postre Mousse de chocolate con almendras muy rico.
Hemos cenado tres personas por 26€. Una maravilla!
Y lo mejor las personas que lo llevan, super amables y simpáticas. Nos han hecho sentir como en casa.
Sitio sencillo y agradable. Mucha limpieza.

Rien à redire
Un petit restaurant familial juste parfait, ne paye pas de mine au premier abord mais ne vous y fiez pas, l'accueil est juste irréprochable on se croirai en famille, tout le monde est super.
Pour ce qui est de la nourriture, spécialité du pays, qui a du goût et est vraiment super bon. Impossible de venir à Albufeira sans passer par ce restaurant, je le recommande fortement.
Prix plus que correct. Un grand merci à l'équipe en plus d'avoir en souvenir une petite photo avec eux.

The chicken piri piri was amazing. We also had the spare ribs that were good as well. I definitely recommend the piri piri though! Very friendly owners. Kind of off the beaten path, but totally worth it to find it!

This restaurant really is excellent. We ate there twice during our week in Albufeira and enjoyed beautiful food and several beers at reasonable prices. The owners were very friendly too. The good news is that we are coming again at the end of February 2019. See you soon!!

Siamo appena tornati e direi piacevolmente soddisfatti. Locale piccolo e informale più da take away che da trattoria, ma appena seduti sei accolto da personale molto cortese e simpatico che aggiunto all'ottimo cibo ti fa cambiare immediatamente opinione. Consigliatissimo!

The frango no churrasco was tasty, but grilled over gas rather than charcoal. The defense is that many people prefer gas as a healthy alternative. I don't buy that, but would eat their chicken again gladly...unless I found charcoal grilled nearby

Si quereis comer muy bien rápido y batato 100% recomendable es muy de barrio pero no defrauda. Si estais en un apartamento recomiendo tambien llamar y encargar para llevar. Picaña mamiña y el pollo lo mejor.

Pero le añades alguno extra y pueden comer dos,en nuestro caso no le quedaban frigoles,ni migas,así que fue arroz y patatas,ya que la ensalada fue el acompañamiento que estaba dentro de la elección del plato.Sitio no muy grande mejor comer fuera si vas x la tarde noche.

Excelente barbacoa, las raciones muy completas y todo de calidad, además de la atención que están dispuestos a escucharte y darte opciones, encima hablan distintos idiomas. Los precios muy contenidos para la buena comida que sirven. Eso sí, el local es pequeño y hay que llegar pronto para conseguir donde sentarse. Si no hay que pedir para llevar.

El sitio es estupendo. Lo recomiendo sin lugar a dudas. La picanha, maninha y el pollo estaban estupendo, la mus de mango también muy buena.
El precio muy asequible, para la calidad es sin duda muy barato. Comimos tres personas con entrantes, principal y postre por 32 euros.

Lo recomiendo cien por cien. La comida es buenisima y el precio para cuatro unos 50 euros. Un lugar pequeñito pero muy agradable. El personal nos atendio de maravilla, muy atentos y con muchas ganas de agradarnos. Recomiendo el pollo y las costillas. Fuimos ayer despues de un dia de playa y hoy hemos repetido. Esta un poco retirado del bullicio por lo que se come tranquilo.

We went here after reading the reviews and it did not disappoint. We shared a rack of ribs and a half kilo of chicken and it was delicious and cooked beautifully. We shared their homemade chocolate mousse for dessert and that was tasty as well. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The only teeniest negative is that the front of the shop doesn't reflect the quality of the food, it just looks like a cafe but we've already said we will probably have another visit before the end of our holidays and well worth a visit if you like your piri piri chicken.

La viande est juste top!
Nous avons pris un poulet grillé ainsi qu’un Rumsteck (plats du jour) + salade mixte + un café + une glace = 21€
Et nous n’avons pas du tout regretté. Bien au contraire !
Je vous conseille fortement d’y passer.
De plus, le service est agréable.

I come to this place yesterday I wanted to order a BBQ Ribs as I saw it in the pictures of other customers but when I looked at the menu it wasn’t there. In the end I order Peri peri chicken with the rice and salad and it was delicious for my desert I’ve got Baba de Camelo - it’s a caramel based desert I really recommend to try it and it’s home made as I’ve been told. The waiter spoke in English, French and Portuguese. Overall I enjoyed the food the price was low for this kind of meal. I paid 20€ including 1L of white wine!

Preocupação em fazer as batatas fritas na hora, para não chegarem a casa frias. Mas os frangos são todos assados com horas de antecedência e reaquecidos, ficando secos. Depois apregoam os molhos, para disfarçar a secura. Não tem lógica.
Já ouvi muitas vezes dizerem que falam bem deste sítio, mas nunca sabem quem.

Petit restaurant familiale qui est tres bon autant dans la qualité du repas que de la viande.

La serveuse Sandra est adorable et au petit soin. Dessert tres bon aussi.

Todo genial, el pollo piri piri estupendo con un toque picante, el arroz de acompañamiento muy bueno, en su punto. La picaña fantástica muy sabrosa y jugosa. Excellent! Vraiment délicieux et prix très bas pour Albufeira. Le poulet était excellent. Équipe vraiment sympathique, mention spéciale pour Sandra qui est très gentille et de bons conseils. Allez y les yeux fermés, pour bien manger rapidement c'est parfait !

Wow, this place has good food. We ate here and ordered one plate of chicken picante, one plate of chicken not picante, picanha (rump steak), and a burger. The chicken was awesome, not too spicy. The picanha was really good and well seasoned, with a nice layer of fat. My only complaints are that there were a couple mistakes on our order. Still, the food was great and service was adequate. It took a while, but it is well worth the wait.
**** edit **** I forgot to mention that they have the best fries/chips/batatas fritas we have had in Albufeira.
Highly recommended.

Chicken Piri Piri und Rump Steak waren sehr sehr lecker. Service war ausgezeichnet und äußerst freundlich. Würden jederzeit wieder herkommen! Gegenüber gibt es einen Parkplatz, was auch sehr vorteilhaft war.

El local es enano con dos mesas y en la terraza había dos mesas con sombrilla, en el resto daba el sol así que había muy poco sitio. Una chica solo para servir así que no daba hecho y se olvidaba de las cosas pero muy simpática. La maminha muy rica. Los frijoles y el arroz no nos gustaron. El resto normal, comida de batalla.

Lovely little-known place to go and enjoy some delicious food at an unbeatable price!! We stayed for a week in Albufeira and we got the chance to enjoy their delicious food in two occasions. Super friendly staff also , one of those few places were you go and you feel like home. A must if you visit Albufeira. Amazing food at a really good price! Their ribs are to die for and their chicken is delicious. We only stayed in Albufeira for a few nights, but we still chose to go eat at this restaurant twice. It was absolutely worth it.
Also the place is owned by a lovely family, which is nice to see.
I would absolutely come back again if I have the chance.
Would recommend!!

Muy caro para lo que es , ofrecen carne de Angus cuando realmente no lo es, ponen la ternera con dos salsas diferentes para que sepan diferente pero si las pruebas antes de la salsa son lo mismo , cobran un kilo de pollo por 12 € y por 7 € te dan 3 trozos pequeños y minusculos de pollo. Lo único que merece la pena las patatas fritas

Me and my partner have just been for meal here as we are staying at an alliclusive hotel and needed a change i had the rack of rib and she had the steak which were both really good and cooked fresh we had wait but thats what get when you want fresh and well worthwhile waiting for its a bit off the beaten. No esperes un local bonito ni romántico, parece una simple bocateria de barrio pero que no te engañen las apariencias, el personal es encantador, te recomiendan y se preocupan de que estés a gusto y disfrutes de la comida y esa es la estrella de este lugar, la comida es de calidad, carnes muy sabrosas y raciones generosas a un precio de chiste, en resumen un lugar donde ponerte morado comiendo frango, picanha o maminha, si no sabes que elegir pide que te pongan un poco de todo para probar, saldrás feliz y con un par de kilos extras

This is by far a must go place in Albufeira, the chicken with the special sauce is an amazing experience, the staff is very nice. Although it's small place and having a table can be complicated in the busy hours, but it's worth it!

Local pequeño pero de buen servicio y mejor cocina. Carne a la plancha, pollo, terneras y costillas muy jugosas. Bebidas con variedad de cervezas y vinos a precios asequibles y contenidos. Fuera de la bronca guiri del centro con una terraza muy buena. El personal muy atentos y controlan el español. Sin grandes pretensiones pero perfecto para darte un descanso de playa. Estuvimos de vacaciones la semana pasada con un grupo de amigos y nos dejamos de llevar por las opiniones de Google Maps y acertamos. Nos sorprendió gratamente!! El trato de los camareros espectacular, muy amables, muy atentos y super simpáticos. Comida muy buena, gran servicio y buen precio.

Eso sí, es un local pequeño, fuimos 7 personas y enseguida nos apañaron las mesas para poder cenar dentro y no en la terraza que hacía fresco, fueron realmente atentos en todo momento.
A destacar los postres caseros, las carnes y las hamburguesas.

A Dona é sensacional e os funcionários muito educados e atenciosos , o local é pequeno, mas acolhedor, a proprietária nos recomendou belos pratos, gostosos e barato e Ainda nos apresentou para dois rapazes amigos deles que papeamos e tomamos cerveja ouvindo a história de Portugal. Comemos picanhas bem servidas e maminhas do Uruguai, excelente arroz e feijão com duas cervejas e sobremesa, o mousse de manga é o melhor. Tudo a 25 euros, comida boa e histórias legais

Sitting here right now, food is delicious and astonishingly tasty, and quite cheap. The only thing that's not great is the location, but that doesn't really matter, considering the taste and price. The staff is really friendly and fluent in French, English and Portuguese.

Piatti ottimi (abbiamo provato il pollo e la picanha ed erano molto molto buoni) cucinati tutti al momento, contornati da riso, insalata o patatine.. Locale con pochi tavoli (lavora più sul take away) ma solitamente non affollato in quanto ben lontano dalle più affollate vie della città.. Prezzi dei piatti dai 6€ agli 8€ incluso un contorno a scelta, servizio migliorabile (ci hanno portato i piatti prima delle forchette) ma cordiale e gentile.. Insomma merita un passaggio!

Quite seriously, the meat is juicy, perfectly cooked, deliciously charred and amazingly seasoned. The piri-piri is a must have, with delicious sauce (and you can specify how spicy you want it). Both the rump steak and maminha are juicy, succulent, and awesome with lightly buttered rice alongside.
A must-have if you're in Albufeira, and I'd even drive out from Faro or Lagos just to eat here! Frankly, your life is incomplete if you haven't eaten at Albufeira Gourmet!
