La passion du vin sous toutes ses formes prédomine dans cet endroit magnifique et se transmet de père en fils. Traditions et modernisme se côtoient subtilement. Les vins de ce vignoble, des "vinho verde", sont très bons, à découvrir impérativemen ! Félicitations et beaucoup d'encouragement!

O vinho ? Esse... Bom ele é, literalmente desde o primeiro gole, até à ultima gota, não só pelo seu sabor delicado, mas também pelos bons momentos que consegue proporcionar ! Que o digam os meus amigos, aqueles que matreiramente, sem eu dar conta de tal, esgotaram com todo o meu stock num ápice. Sabem o que restou ? Garrafas vazias, copos vazios e muitas memórias, boas memórias, bons momentos ! Aqui é onde a magia acontece, depois de visitar esta quinta consegui entender que para um bom vinho, não basta um bom fruto ... É preciso sabedoria, cuidado e mestria, caso contrário, seria apenas mais um vinho. Se gostam de saber o "porquê" e o "como" de um vinho de excelência, aqui certamente que encontrarão a melhor resposta. Keep going Sapateiro, sooner or later, the reward is coming, you deserve it !

Even though last minute, Tiago accommodated my wife and my request for a guided tour of the Sapateiro vineyards. Tiago was super friendly and welcoming so it rather felt like visiting a friend. We learned a lot about the Vinho Verde region, their wine plants and, of course, the wines. We tasted 4 different wines which were all very tasty and we stayed much longer than expected, having nice conversations with Tiago (and playing with Xico). I can definitely recommend visiting Sapateiro and tasting their wines.

I had the pleasure to meet with the winemakers of Sapateiro, and they showed me their vineyard, which is located near Porto. Tiago created a whole experience for me! From winetasting of Alvarinho & other local grape varieties to basic knowledge about producing wine to even trying fruit from their orchard and local foods traditionally cooked in their region. I understood how to distinguish between Vinho Verde DOC and basic wine. I also understood what are the wine effects on diet & fitness because Tiago is also a Fitness Coach. I was glad to know I can keep drinking :D A big thank you to the hosts for showing me around and for teaching me a lot about wine in a simple way that I very much enjoyed.

Nice private wine tasting. The best and most private wine tasting we ever have done. Wine and tapas were amazing! We spend much longer than planned. I can strongly recommend it!

My girlfriend and I had the most wonderful time here for my birthday and I would recommend the Sapateiro vineyard for anyone who wants to go wine tasting! We started off with a tour of the vineyard with Tiago, walking us through the wine production process and giving us the history of the vineyard and how it all began. We then enjoyed tapas and wine tasting on the balcony with Tiago and Silvi, trying a selection of different wines that were perfectly complemented by the tapas to bring out their fantastic flavours. Tiago and Silvi are both very knowledgeable and lovely people, even laying on a little surprise for my birthday!

We had a wonderful time touring and tasting during a recent trip to Portugal. Tiago and Sylvi were wonderful hosts and Chico provided canine entertainment. We learned a lot about the local wines and enjoyed the tapas tasting as much as anywhere else in the country. A highly recommended experience.

Perfect place and a must see. Food was delicious, Chico the dog was a great addition to play with the kids and the wines were the best we've had in Portugal. We won't forget our amazing experience. Thank you Tiago and Silvi for treating us like family.

Visiting the Sapateiro Villa was a phenomenal experience. Tiago's attention to detail and ability to story-tell through the entire journey of first visiting the production facilities and tasting the wine is what impressed me the most. It's not just about wine tasting. It's also about the culture, customs and traditions.

Was our favourite experience of our visit to the north of Portugal. Tiago and Silvi were amazingly friendly, patient and knowledgeable. They accommodated our visit despite our last minute request and the tour was informative and lovely. The whole experience had a very personal feeling and it was nice to hear about the beginnings of the shoemaker wine from the son of the brands namesake. If you are looking for a wine tasting in or near Porto that's the one to go to. We had a very nice wine tour including getting to know the family history which made it very interesting and unique. The wine was delicious and was served with many snacks. Thank you for this nice experience.

What an incredible experience we had! This was much more than a regular wine tasting experience. We felt welcomed the minute we arrived, the owner greeted us, showed us around the vineyard and told us about the history of the winery and the region in general. We later gather around the table and had different types of wine and snacks. All was so delicious and they were very generous! Tiago, Sylvie and Chiko thank you so much for the hospitality. We had such an intimate wine tasting here. Our hosts showed us around the property, explained the history, talked us through the wine making process, and then we had an amazing tasting with tapas. The wines were really tasty. More white wines but with a variety of styles. The pours were generous and accompanied by snacks. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We felt like we instantly made friends. And the vineyard dog Chico is very friendly :)

We had a very enjoyable afternoon of food and wine with Tiago and Sylvia - a short tour of the vineyard followed by a tasting of their red and white vinho verde wines with excellent sharing plates of local cuisine including pataniscas de bacalhau and sardines. High quality local food and drink close to Porto - would recommend! Tiago and Sylvia were very quick to reply to our messages and very interested in us and our thoughts about the wine.

We had an amazing experience at Sapateiro. With just a morning left outside of Porto, we wanted a quick stop at a winery instead of a full day tour. We called in the morning and were welcomed to come around 10-10:30. Tiago and Silvi were incredible. They showed us around the vineyard, production room and gave us a personalized and warm tasing experience, with 4 wines and a lot of delicious snacks and cheeses. We were on a tight schedule, needing to leave around noon, but we could have spent another hour or two there enjoying the views, wines and company. This is a must if you are in the area!

Une autre journée de rêve avec une visite dans un petit vignoble familial, le @sapateiro.wine Sapateiro Handcrafted wines. Nous avons été accueilli à 11h30 par Tiago et Silvi. Ils nous ont fait faire le tour de la propriété et parlé de leur variétés de vignes, leur différents arbres fruitiers, etc. Ensuite Tiago nous a parlé et montré ou il fait le vin en nous expliquant le processus. Pendant ce temps, Silvi vous préparait les tapas avec des produits locaux pour accompagner la ''dégustation'. Tiago a ouvert 3 bouteilles de son vin et 1 bouteille du vinho verde tinto de son père. Nous sommes repartis après plus de 3h en ayant bu et manger autant que nous voulions et avoir eu de bonnes discussions. Les vins de ce petit vignoble sont magnifique et il ne produise qu'une petite quantité de chacun et le prix reste très raisonnable! L'expérience en vaut le détour! Si vous visitez le Portugal, je vous conseille fortement de leur rendre visite! Même s'ils acceptent les walkin, il est préférable de réserver au moins une journée à l'avance!

This was our favorite vineyard/winery we visited on our wine day trip. They were excellent hosts. The snacks were tasty and the wine is excellent. It was a beautiful place to enjoy an afternoon.

Everything about our visit to the Sapateiro Vineyard was absolutely incredible. From the warm hospitality we received to the amazing selection of tapas prepared for us to enjoy while tasting the wines, our visit to Sapateiro proved to be the highlight of our trip to Portugal. Tiago and Silvi welcomed us into their beautiful home and were extremely accommodating when our plans changed last minute. If you are looking for a wonderfully intimate vineyard experience where you are treated more like family than a guest, look no further than Sapateiro!

My boyfriend booked us a vineyard tour and wine tasting day whilst on holiday in Portugal and it wasn’t honestly the best thing we have ever done! From start to finish Tiago and Silvi thought about everything. We arrived at Marco De Canaveses train station where Tiago met us and took us to their beautiful vineyard. There we met Tiagos partner Silvi, and Chico (their gorgeous dog!) - we arrived early so the hosts made us feel very welcome in their home, revealing my birthday surprise and taking us on a private tour of the vines. Tiago knows everything there is to know about the vines - hence the amazing wine he makes! Looking around the winery and how they bottle the wine is fascinating! After a tour of the vines, we were given some freshly made lemonade before a tour of the gardens in this beautiful setting, trying the fresh fruit as we went. As we walked around the front of the house, we were greeted by balloons all over the balcony for my birthday! Next it was time for the wine tasting! Tiago and Silvi has set up a table for us, we started off with Rosé followed by two whites and finally a red made by Tiagos father - all explained by Tiago on how they are made and the work that goes into them! Each of the wines are accompanied by entrees of local cuisine all made by Silvi, paired to each wine perfectly (and all Incredibly tasty!) The day was finished off by singing happy birthday to me with a local Portuguese pastry cake and candles - as well as ordering a fair few bottles to be shipped home to the UK! All in all, we could not fault the day - Tiago and Silvi thought about every detail, they took into account that my boyfriend is Coeliac and made sure they had food he could eat, they decorated the place, and even drove us to our hotel. They really made my birthday extra special! If you are looking to do a wine tasting tour or vineyard visit you MUST go here! Tiago and Silvi thank you so so much for making this day amazing for me! We found this small family vineyard by a chance and decided to stop by. The experience ended up being the highlight of our trip to Douro. Tiago and Silvi spent several hours with us making us feel like a family. We had a really tremendous time at their winery. Although the vineyard is small and they only produce about 11,000 bottles of wine per year, each bottle is handcrafted with love and every wine we tried was exceptionally delicious. Tiago and Silvi, Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Out of all the vineyards we have visited in Italy, Spain and Portugal, this vinery was the very best. The tour, the quality of wine, the presentation and food were beyond outstanding. You will not only be treated to wine, but to great orchard and very friendly hosts and very nice dog.

This was by far the best wine tasting experience I have ever had! Me and my friends were in Porto and we booked a private Vinho Verde wine tasting nearby. Tiago and Silvi welcomed us in a very warm manner and made us feel relaxed and as if we were home. What we thought would be a quick wine tasting ended up being one that lasted the whole afternoon! We highly recommend it

Awesome experience. First, Tiago picks you up, nice touch. The whole vineyard environment and the view are incredible. The production area is rather small, since it is a small family business, but the tasting on their balcony and their great wines, together with some snacks, makes your day. I learned very interesting things about wine production!
