Expensive and doesn't taste good.
The waiters noticed we didn't like the food and asked us about it but didn't do anything about that.
Very disappointing given the reviews.

Ok so we just stumbled in here because we couldn’t be stuffed walking any more. It was the francesinha I saw that initially drew us in, I’d already had one for breakfast though so this was going to be a snack break not a meal. That said we got kale soup, a pork belly salad and just a side salad as we felt we needed some vegetable intake. They were great. BUT!!! It was the carbonara of the gentleman sitting next to us that looked delicious, and if I wasn’t planning on smashing some little fish on a bbq down by the water very soon I would have hooked in on this. It was served out of a milk bottle with a fresh egg yolk added at the last minute. They shake it and pour it out of the milk bottle and onto the plate. Old mate seemed well please and I would have been too.
This is a place you go if you’ve overloaded on local food and just need a palate cleaners. It wouldn’t be my first stop. It’s not as cheap as other spots (I think I’m Australian dollar) it is however really good. Music wise think Guru’s Jazzmatazz.

5 stars for Typographia Progresso because of the server William (Guilherme). We were two tired parents with our two, also tired, small (and loud) children. He treated us as if it were our first anniversary. His recommendation of the slow cooked meat and potatoes and broccoli, was perfect. The way he served it to us awoke our senses. His service enhanced the already thoughtful and delicious food. We are so grateful to him for making our night and Typographia Progresso stand out

Un resto vraiment bon et déco sympa. Le petit plus est leurs pains maisons vraiment à tomber par terre. Avec de la bresola, du fromage portugais et une salade de chèvre, poire et roquette, c'était exquis avec un verre de Porto en prime. Je conseille vivement. Tarif à peine cher pour la petite salade proposée.

Sitio con una decoración muy cuidada . Precioso , con aprovechamiento de los elementos de imprenta integrados en la decoración.

The kale soup with chorizo had literally 1 slice of chorizo .. But then they brought francesinha and cod on potato mash and I decided to forgive them for soup xD
Cod was awesome.
Francesinha was way better than in Lado B which was mentioned as top 5 francesinha place in the city. :)

Fui al lugar por que me lo recomendaron, hoy justamente quería sentarme a disfrutar de un postre. Entramos, pedimos mesa para 2, hasta ahi todo bien, cuando pedimos el postre nos dijeron que no era posible quedarnos con la mesa por que tienen prioridad quienes van a cenar... Ok, ya me pareció mal, nos mandaron a una mesa prácticamente al lado del baño, el postre valió la pena, el servicio es pésimo, tuvimos que pedir 3 veces la cuenta y al final nos cansamos y fuimos a la caja a pagar.
Yo no lo recomiendo, cuando uno sale a comer sea lo que sea además de pagar una buena comida paga un buen servicio, este lugar no lo brinda.

Incrível uma cozinha espetacular, com um chef de cozinha de renome e uma carta de vinhos óptima mas sem pessoal para aconselhar o vinho. Não há ninguém especializado no serviço de vinhos...

Fantástico restaurante por su decoración, por su ambiente, por su comida y por su servicio. Está situado en una zona de Oporto llena de restaurantes súper chulos que merecen ser visitas sin excepción. Éste era una antigua imprenta y conservan a modo de decoración alguna máquina dándole un ambiente increíble.
La comida extraordinaria, todo un placer para el paladar, sorprendiéndote a cada bocado, desde los entrantes hasta los postres.

Comida bien, precio normal. Pero poco cuidadoso el trato, me tiran una copa de vino en la camisa por la espalda y no tienen ninguna consideracion, un poco de agua con limon (que no ha quitado nada) y la camisa blanca a la basura. Esta claro que son cosas puntuales, pero ha salido cara la cena.

Долго выбирали место для ужина, пришли в 20ч буднего дня, на улице был единственный свободный столик, долго принимали заказ, 40 мин готовили, но когда нам принесли стейк по-португальски и креветки по-бразильски, то мы забыли о всех неудобствах)) муж сказал, что самый вкусный стейк именно тут! Креветок с рисом было много, вроде 11шт, очень вкусно!)

This place is very well recommended. We had a Porto wine and a delicious (and very generous) selection of charcuterie and cheese , with varied excellent bread for around 20€ pp. The service was impeccable. It was so worth it, would go back.

Muy bueno. Diferente en los platos que ofrece y su preparación y presentación. Todo lo que tomamos estaba muy bueno. Un bacalao al horno, un solomillo a la portuguesa y unos espagueti carbonara, que te traen en un frasco, le añaden una yema de huevo, tapan el frasco y lo agitan para mezclar la yema con los espagueti y su salsa antes de verterlos en el plato. Está claro que eso 90% show, pero estaban muy buenos y hace gracia.

Un bel locale vicino al porto, ma decisamente costoso per quello che offrono. Ho preso un baccalà alla brace e mi hanno presentato una massa di patate e baccalà sfilacciato. La bistecca alla portoghese era gustosa, ma la porzione molto ridotta con troppe patate fritte. La descrizione dei piatti è incompleta e il servizio lento. A Porto c'è di meglio.

Walking past this restaurant we felt impressed by the menu and the ambience. We selected our meals and were delighted with an amazing selection of delicious food. The dish I had was the best veal dish I have ever had. It was so so tender. Will be back.

Local muy bien acondicionado (era una antigua imprenta), con una bonita decoración y muy diáfano.Tienen una pequeña terraza con vistas a la ribiera. Ideal para ir en pareja.
La comida está deliciosa y el personal es muy amable (tardaron un poco en tomarnos nota porque eran 3 y muchas mesas). Hay buena relación calidad - precio.

The interior is beautifully decorated. The food is simple but really delicious and portions are big. Be prepared to wait a little bit, the kitchen is not fast. The big jars of sangria helps in that matter

Buen sitio para comer. Tiene una carta variada con platos de muchos países distintos. Tiene opciones sin gluten que están muy ricas y típicas de Portugal, como el bacalao a la bras.

Casa com decoração única que oferece opções de entradas vegetarianas/veganas sinalizadas, o que é muito bom e também difícil de encontrar no Porto. Porém, não me recordo de ter um "main dish" sem carne. Atendimento simpático, porém demorado. Sobremesas muito boas!

Amazing. The food and the service is great. A waiter appeared as soon as our menus were closed and they didn't repeatedly bother us during the meal.
We had the bread to start - I would definitely recommend it, the berry bread is good as is the sweet potato bread.
My partner had the shrimp curry and I had the pork neck both of which were very tasty (my only regret is not taking photos).
To finish we shared the carrot lava cake which was a new and delicious experience!

Wonderful ambiance, pricey but flavorful food. I was disappointed when the waiter spilled sangria onto my lap and didn’t offer a free refill or complimentary item.

This is a pretty busy spot - always try and book ahead! We arrived at 9:40pm and got a table at 10:15. They had us sit at the back, which is fine, but while another group at the back had multiple rounds of drinks we had nothing.
I don’t think it was intentional - it seems like they were understaffed and running around a lot.
The food had some good and bad:
The pork belly starter was way too salty. After a few bites all you taste is salt
The fried tempura and sauce was great! One of the best I had ever had.
For Main - the pork neck dish was delicious.
The francesinha was not great. The bread was too thick and one layer of meat had to be chewed 20+ times just to be able to swallow. But that’s my own fault - I know other spots are really good for francesinha already..
We did ask for the bill a few times to pay. Ended up going up to pay at the front. I don’t know - maybe if I learned a bit of Portuguese that part would have been smoother.

One of the worst dinners I have had ever. The service was slow. My husband ordered the carbonara. He said the taste was okay but the sauce was runny and there was not enough pasta. It also seems like the spaghetti was cut to fit into the jar that they serve it in, which is not proper. I ordered the goat cheese salad and shrimp and scallop bisque. The salad had a huge piece of goat cheese that was brûléed but very little arugula (rocket in Europe)- the proportions could have been better. They also used stale, boxed croutons instead of freshly made ones. The soup was over salted. The shrimp were OK but the scallops were not grilled as described and undercooked. There were also pieces of overcooked lobster that were very unappetizing. Because the service was so slow we did not have an opportunity to order something else.

Und noch ein Hinweis: „tripes“ sind „kutteln“. Konnte uns weder der Ober noch google translate erklären.

A fabulous restaurant with extremely accommodating staff. All courses indicate their origin, a mixture of Porto, Portuguese and global specialities making the choice very difficult. The wine list is also marked by origin and bottles range between 12 and 120 Euros alongside very reasonably priced craft beers. Despite a flight with over 2 hours sat on the tarmac at Luton we had a wonderful evening and the waiters looked after us so well as did the cooks. Highly recommended.

Comida agradável mas serviço miserável. Demoraram imenso a trazer as bebidas, já tinhamos comido o pão quase todo. Pedi Linguini negro e trazem-me bife tártaro. Nem sequer pediram desculpa por se terem enganado nem avisam quanto tempo demorava a corrigir o erro nem pediram desculpa quando finalmente trouxeram o prato correto. Deu cabo do jantar. Super, super lento. Preço não adequado ao serviço.

The decoration is great, inspired in being an old printing shop. Food was ok, underwhelmed by the - small - amount of codfish in a main course... Otherwise nice staff and service and good terrace.

Had the Portuguese steak and fried potatoes and it was delicious. Very attentive and friendly waiters who didn't mind our speaking English. The friends with us shared some sort of seafood stew that was enough for an army. Be sure and order some bread because it is made there and it is wonderful.

Restaurant sympa. La bouillabaise avec des st Jacques, a amélioré. Il faut chercher les St Jacques.
Suggestion: augmenter un peu le prix et mettre plus de st jacques ou des plus grossses.
Sinon c ėtait bon.

El sitio es precioso. Pero ojo!! Pedimos dos vinos verdes, y con mucha amabilidad se aprovecharon. Sirvieron dos vinos, sin preguntar, la verdad nada del otro mundo. Seis euros cada copa. Mal. Muy mal. No se ajusta a la forma habitual de tratar al turismo en Portugal.

Um espaço super acolhedor, quer pelo simpatia do staff como pela própria decoração. Confecção e apresentação dos pratos exemplar e inovador (sempre com um apontamento que surpreender o cliente). Ótima relação qualidade preço. Recomendo vivamente, Parabéns pelo projecto.
