Bonito, muita calmaria, dá para andar de bicicleta, fazer canoagem. A casa onde estive é bonita, aconchegante, da para fazer barbecues no exterior.

Cada ida à Herdade do Burrazeiro é sempre uma óptima e relaxante experiência. O Alentejo no seu melhor.

Impecável em todos os aspetos e a preparar o que será uma referência sem par no turismo da região. Parabéns a todos pelas preocupações e ideologias com que tudo vai crescendo. É e será sem dúvida um projeto ganho em todos os aspetos.

Herdade de Burrazeiro, 1st August 2019 We spent a wonderful three weeks in Casa de Alcaría. The house provides all comfort that one can wish to have in a country house in a relatively remote area and also the WIFI worked well. We really appreciated the help and services of the owners. Also Custodia was very nice and helpful (she brought us fresh eggs) and she was both efficient and effective in cleaning. We also liked the company of Cuska (the dog). She is very sweet though we have to admit that we were pleased that Manuel kept here away at night from our house, as she kept use awake one night, barking at animals in surrounding area. The views from the terrace of Casa da Alcaria are stunning at all times of the day and. At night you can see a million stars and the milky way, a magic experience. Do not miss out a beautiful walking trip (or if you like running like we do) over the dirt roads and through the meadows and the (cork) woods up to the hills in and around Herdade do Burrazeiro. There is also a small lake. You will probably meet the cows on your way but they are harmless. Going out is also a true pleasure. There are many places and small hidden jewels to discover nearby. Or just go out for a drive and enjoy watching Alentejo landscape or seeing some nice historical or typical cities and villages (Estremoz, Elvas, Evora, Alandroal, Redondo, Evoramonte, Vila Viçosa, with the marvelous Paço Doucal, ...Convento Sao Paolo...) Do not to forget to visit one of the many Herdades / Wine Houses, with visiting and tasting tours. We recommend visiting the Joao Portugal Ramos winery which you can find on the main road from Estremoz to Evoramonte. We had an excellent guided tour (ask for Tania) of the beautiful premises followed by an excellent tasting of red and white Alentejo wines with nice cheese for a fair price. We also visited Herdade do Servas. Ask for Diana, if you want a Dutch guided tour. Visit the marble quarry in Estermoz. It is easy (and for free) and gives a very good impression of how marble is extracted and collected in the lager Estemoz area. Portugal is 2nd largest exporter in the world of high quality marble. Alentejo gastronomy is a real pleasure (also for your wallet ) and we tried several of the restaurants recommended in the white folder kept in the house. We particularly liked Gandanha (a bit more expensive but excellent quality) and Venda Azul (not expensive, nice meat, portions are too big so don’t order too much and very friendly service) in Estremoz. We would like to add and recommend the restaurant O Restauracao in Vila Vicosa. This restaurant is located on the large, main square, has a nice terrace, very friendly service and very good food at a reasonable price. We had a fantastic time in and around the Herdade de Burrazeiro. We usually don’t go back to the same place but the Herdade de Burrazeiro may well be the exception to the rule.
