We walked the Paiva Walkways in company of Tiago, our guide from Detours, who was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and patient - we needed it, since I hurt my foot coming down, and Tiago didn't rush us at all, but was kind and obliging :-) During our conversations, he gave us great info about the Douro Valley, as well as tips about Portugal. He was truly very funny and engaging and he introduced us to some breathtaking scenery, for instance during the long winding drive from the Walkways to the Alvarenga restaurant where we dined. We thoroughly enjoyed our outing and would warmly recommend Detours and their activities! A+++

Have gone on two different tours with Detours. The guides Diogo and Fonzi were excellent and good craic. Had all the local knowledge and the guys really care about there region and want you to enjoy it. Will use again when we go back next year. Rod

Rodrigo was a great guide! Even though it was very cloudy we enjoyed the tour and amazing views over Douro! Tasty traditional Portuguese lunch, excellent wine tasting with very informative commentary! And loved the adventure of being on a 4x4! Definitely recommend exploring the city and Douro with them for an authentic experience! Thanks guys!

Thoroughly recommend the 4x4 Douro Valley trip which we did with the lovely Kevin. The trip takes you into a really beautiful area of countryside, with incredible views and a chance to taste the wines and ports for which it is most famous in a small family-run Quinta. Kevin was an excellent guide, with perfect English, superb local knowledge and a great sense of humour. A really fun and great value day out!

On nous a recontacté la veille , pile à l’heure devant notre location le jour du départ, un trajet très agréable avec Kévin notre accompagnateur , pique nique à l’arrivée de la balade et retour devant notre porte . Des gars très sérieux et très sympas, avec le souci de bien faire pour laisser un excellent souvenir ! C’est l’agence aussi qui vaut ‘ le détour ‘ !
