The sushi tastes good and is well presented. The prices are lower compared to many other sushi restaurants in the city.

숙소 바아로 옆에 있는데 평점이 너무 좋아서 가게 된 스시집인데 맛집이었어요 !! 물론 일본 현지나 한국 제대로된 스시집만큼은 못하지만 그래도 맛이나 플레이팅이나 정말 좋았구요 와인도 저희가 시킨게 다떨어져서 추천해주셨는데 가격도 11유로였나..? 엄청 저렴하고 맛도 괜찮았어용. 사진상 메뉴는 메인 두개에 연어초밥 4피스 추가한 게 한꺼번에 나온거구요 메인은 재패니스 트레디셔널? 인가 시켰던것같아요 일단 생선 재료가 굉장히 신선하고 맛있었어요 밥은 아쉽지만 유럽 쌀로 만든것 치고는 좋았구요 스타터로 시킨 새우튀김도 맛있었습니당 앗 근데 사진에 보이는 국물은 미소된장국인데 웬만하면 시키지 마세요ㅜ 가격이 오처넌인가 했던거같은데 저 조그만 그릇에 나옵니다 .. ㅋ ㅋ 다른건 괜찮은데 그건 좀 의아했네용 그리구 매장이 굉장히 협소해용 2인용 테이블 다섯?개에 4인용 테이블이 하나라서 저희는 예약 안해서 좀 기다렸다 먹었어용 들어가자마자 예약했냐고부터 물어보고 저희 먹을때도 아홉시였는데 예약이 두테이블 있었던걸 봐서 예약하고 가시는게 좋을것같아욤 !!

Petit restaurant à ne pas manquer ! L'accueil est irréprochable et les préparations à base de poisson sont très fraîches et bonnes ! On a d'ailleurs le grand plaisir de trouver de beaux morceaux de poisson à l'intérieur des créations du chef ! Nous avons beaucoup aimé le plateau de sushis/makis/sashimis ''fusion'' ! Créatif et délicieux merci !

Maybe because it was end of the week, maybe we weren't lucky, but the fact is that I can't understand how is it possible for this establishment to have such high score. The positive side: The staff is very nice and polite The not so positive remarks: Sushi prices, but expensive for what was served. Small place, inappropriate for even having a reasonably quiet conversation. I've read one review that told this place could fit 15 people... really? Can't see how. The negative: Where was the fruits shown on the pictures!? There were no pieces served with any sort of fruit... Asked the chef, and we were told there wasn't any. The Sangria had way too much sugar, couldn't drink the first glass. Wine was also not appropriate for the Sangria. The really negative: Quite ineffective air ventilation and fumes exhaust from the kitchen. Staying more than 20 minutes will make sure you leave the establishment with a new perfume in the hair skin and clothes (Intense fry smell) Of the 4 orders, could only eat the first, the second left half, the third was pretty much un-edible, salmon sushi drowned in cheese, canceled the 4 order and asked for the bill. The sushi was of low quality. For the owner: please, take into account this review as a constructive critic. I give 2 stars, instead of one because you were very nice people, but that's not enough. Please improve, check other great examples in Oporto with the same or even lower prices.

オススメです。サーモンのにぎりを食べました。握り加減がいい！お米がぽろぽろとくずれたりしません。サーモンも脂がのっていて、口の中で溶けました。すごく新鮮です！店主もとても優しかったです。

Bom atendimento, sushi de qualidade. No entanto muito caro para o sushi colocado na mesa. As peças são feitas na hora a medida dos pedidos, o que atrasa a entrega. Colocar pequenas lascas de salmão como uma peça de shashimi não se enquadra.

This is an AMAZING restaurant! We booked a table because we didn't know where to have dinner and we were amazed. Service is attentive, nice and very very polite, the place is small so I recommend you reserve since there's only 5 tables! Lastly, the food, everything is freshly made right next to you, presentation is on point and it's really really tasty. A must go if you feel like some quality Japanese in Porto's city center.

Delicious fresh Sushi and a very friendly chef. No big "all you can eat" chain, but nice little restaurant where you enjoy quality. I will definitely come back when I am in Porto again!

Clean and good service but VERY BAD tempura ... when i eat sushi, i dont want fusion unless you tell me when i order. Tempura is coated in batter and panko, not soft mushy dough and almonds. The rest of the sushi was beautiful but mediocre flavor including the wasabi which was stale or just very poor quality!

We went two times during our vacation. A very nice, small and cozy place with great fusion or traditional sushi. Try the freestyle options.

Simply superb!!! It is honestly the best sushi I have had, including in Japan. Imaginative creations exquisitely presented. The photos you see on Google are what you get. The staff is very friendly and speak multiple languages. The chef is, of all things, Nepalise. Go figure that one out. Prices are reasonable too.

This is not just a sushi place. It is a first rate dining experience for Porto, or frankly, anywhere. Went to a "top 5" resto in Porto the night before, 10 course tasting menu, wine pairings, etc. spent four times as much and did not have the meal we had tonight in this humble, but quietly elegant, spot on Rua Santo Ildefonso. We shared the Fukuoka "freestyle fusion sushi" which in the hands of a less serious chef could just be a gimmicky atrocity. Instead it was a 50 piece tour de force. Each component was brilliantly conceived, beautifully condimented and gorgeously presented. Many, many different components on this fantastic platter. The fusion element is that different pieces include nuts, seeds, spices, fruit which are not customary for sushi. In the hands of a less talented chef, ugh. Sushi does not need gimmicks. But here you just kept saying to yourself, my god, this is brilliant. I had a piece of barely seared salmon on a spoon with what I swear was a dab of pomegranate molasses in the bottom, the tiniest most elegant sliver of strawberry on top. Quite possibly the best single bite of my life. The sashimi components were impeccable, and even those were a notch up and special. The whitefish, served with lime sliced barely microns thin, was sublime. This platter was the best 46 euros I have ever spent in a restaurant. Bring cash as they only take Portugese credit cards.

We have eaten here for the second time during our stay in Porto. And just like the first time, the food, service and atmosphere were excellent. James is a very experienced chef who works with fresh ingredients. For him, quality is number one. The service from Belu was also perfect. Very friendly and good. We recommend this restaurant if you like good, fresh and delicious sushi!

I am a sushi lover and was tourist in Porto for a few days. I tryed a lot od different sushi restaurants and i can definitely recommend this place. The waitress was heartful and the suhsi plate "oasaka" delicious.

I had a fantastic, personally curated meal at Battousai for a reasonable price! The chef/owner is a delight to talk with and provided details for anything we had questions about. We ordered the non-traditional combination platter, and the chef provided a very interesting and tasty assortment of rolls, nigiri, and sashimi. The next time I’m in Porto, I will come back to Battousai!

Usually I stick to a vegetarian diet, but every now and then I'm tempted by sushi. Coming to the point: this is the most beautiful sushi I have had so far and also one of the best! I applaude James for his skill and artistic touch creating his dishes. These ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ are more than deserved! Really sad that I have to leave Porto so soon.

The beautiful atmosphere and attentive service was only bested by the amazing quality food. I would highly recommend this lovely restaurant to anyone that loves sushi and is looking for a tranquil environment in which to dine.
