Shannon O'Brien: Watermark is the best! My husband and I have been travelling for 8 months and our time at Watermark has been the highlight. I can't speak highly enough about the owners - Rui and Ricardo and surf instruction from Alex. The owners and instructors have created the most relaxed and welcoming vibe. We felt like long time friends with everyone immediately. The house was comfortable, relaxing, clean and well cared for. The surf instruction was motivating, fun and was perfect for a first time surfer like me. My husband is more experienced and he loved it as well. We originally booked for 3 days and extended our stay and honestly would have stayed for way longer if we could have. This is also a great place for travellers who are a bit older than the typical hostel crowd. We are 37 years old and felt very comfortable, with folks being younger and older than us. So many of the guests are return surfers, coming back every year from all over the world because it's literally the best. 110% would recommend!! I will definitely return.
