Walked in off the street and left with amazing hair! Staff are friendly and kind, and made an effort to ensure communication wasn't hampered by language barriers.

I went here twice to get my hair done while on vacation. I absolutely loved it! It was a wonderful experience. The hairdresser (Claudia) was very welcoming and friendly. She made me feel comfortable and then shared stories about the food and culture of Portugal. As a tourist, it felt really nice to learn more about the place I am visiting. This will be a very memorable experience for me. Thank you for the top-notch service! :)

My fiance was long overdue for a haircut and we were having engagement photos taken while in Porto. Afomso got us in right away and gave him a modern, stylish cut. I had my past shoulder length fine, oily hair cut by Afonso Tojal. I gave him free reign to do what he thought would suit me best. He gave me a really short, edgy cut, which I just loved. It took him over an hour and a half; and at times, I thought he was just cutting a few strands of hair. What a perfectionist. Only problem now, I don't want anyone else cutting my hair. I received a very good treatment there. My hairdresser did not speak English very well, so one of the others helped translate in the beginning, to ensure that the haircut would be as I wanted. My hairdresser was very thorough with the haircut, and it was a super result. I am very happy and would come again, if I visit Porto again.

Get you’re hair done here if ever in Porto! It can get busy if it’s the weekend, so make sure you call before hand to make a reservation.

Unfortunately one of my worst hairdressing experiences ever :( my hair did not at all turn out the way we had discussed before, she left me with my wet hair waiting while she went with a scared look on her face to talk to her colleague, obviously something was up, but instead of just talking to me to explain ( and for me not to freak out) she went to someone, got some more product started to put it in my hair and only afterwards she said: Yes, well it was turning orange so I added some blue paint to it..." Whatever I thought she knows what´s she´s doing ( apparently she didn´t). When it was done I was €50 lighter, the color was not at all what we had discussed together, after talking to her to see if we could work this out together ( me thinking she was a professional, I mean Tony and Guy right? you think only professional people would work for such a brand?) Nope, nothing, basically received a reply, Sorry you didn’t like it, but that´s the way it is. Extremely disappointing and so unprofessional. This was the first time that ever happened to me. So no, my advice is not to go here. But he, maybe they changed something and things are better now, just don’t go to their Junior Hair colorist…
