Vor einiger Zeit wohnten wir for 1 Nacht in diesem wunderschönen Anwesen. Das Abendessen, Lamm aus dem Ofen, schmeckte uns hervorragend, dazu gab es spitzen Weine. Der Dessert ebenso gigantisch lecker. Rundherum ein gelungener Aufenthalt. Wir kommen wieder

Please do not stay at this villa if you care for animal welfare. Two dogs are kept chained up here and one in full sight of the villa. One was kept inside a garage and one was tied to a tree, very close to the house we were staying in so we had a clear view over her ‘home’. The dogs were kept in deeply unsanitary conditions with very little clean water or food - in fact I changed one dog’s water daily for fear she would become ill from the old muddy water in her bowl. She also ran out of food frequently. Her collar was extremely tight and attached to a metal chain that she constantly pulled on. The owners were never witnessed near the dogs who were completely starved of human interaction. They were ignored the entire time. At one point the dog kept in a garage tried to escape, and they chased him down and yanked on the chain extremely tightly then slapped the dog around the face, all in full view of us. This was extremely upsetting and I felt very uncomfortable with the fact that we had supported these people by booking a villa with them.

Overall very nice, but with some very specific issues. I would certainly stay here again and the staff and very nice. WiFi not available everywhere, no screens on windows, no AC, hot water issues, electrical issues (continually tripped breakers), only one door opener (with wasps near the manual opener), and no river access. Nearby chickens and dogs make early hours a challenge to sleep. Parking, tennis court, bbq, and pool are great. Ample parking.
