Beautiful Property about 20/25 minutes outside the City, Extremely friendly staff that make you feel very comfortable. Updated rooms and baths. Good food and wine.

Très bel établissement. Bien situé au calme â 30minutes de Porto. Dans la nature.tres calme.equipemet neufs et complets.et surtout excellent accueil des personnels.veritable maison d hôtes avec 7 chambres tres agréables,confortables et calmes avec des petits déjeuners complets et de qualité et des repas du soir extraordinaire...Bref à recommender sans réserves. Pour des tarifs raisonnables.

We felt home in Casa Valxisto. Staff are super caring and friendly. Food is delicious and prepared with produce of their own garden. Definitely a place to rest with your family. Our 8-month baby loved it.

Visitei este local, por ter sido la o casamento de um amigo e adorei a area, o local, o sossego... nao sei como sao os quartos, mas irei visitar este espaco para la passar dois ou tres dias para aproveitar a sua localizacao para refrescar a mente e esquecer a agitacao da cidade. Aconcelho a conhecerem o espaco e ainda nem sei como são os quartos mas acredito que serao otimos.

Magnifique endroit calme et reposant. Studio bien décoré avec tout le comfort et d'une propreté exemplaire. Le restaurant est super avec que des produits de leur jardin. Petit dejeuner tres copieux. Tout est fait maison. Service grand luxe. Tout est fait pour qu'on se sente bien. Je recommande a mille pourcent. A 20 minutes de porto et 30 minutes de l'aeroport.

Um fim-de-semana a dois espectacular. O sossego e a tranquilidade é excelente. O acolhimento dos donos é maravilhosa. Um bom jantar, comida deliciosa e muito bem confeccionada, bem regada com um bom vinho. Aconselho e vou repetir sem dúvida alguma.

We had an absolutely perfect vacation! We visited in October 2019. The property is so well cared for, with beautifully kept grounds and happy animals on the farm. The hotel strikes the perfect balance: you have the ability to have a private vacation, but Ana is available at all times to provide assistance when you need it. She is warm, kind, thoughtful, and extremely hard working. She makes you feel at home the minute you arrive. We also want to note that the restaurant is top notch. The food at the hotel is superb. It is fresh, beautifully cooked, and absolutely delicious. We look forward to the next time we can visit. We recommend this hotel to everyone. If you are looking for a peaceful vacation in a beautiful location with exceptional service, this is where you want to stay!

My review is based on what my friends experienced. It was a gift. They enjoyed the whole experience of the village even though they faced torrential rain to get there. They were stuck under a flooded under pass of the train and almost gave up if it hadnt been for a passer by. I think next time the staff of the Casa should try to solve this issue when contacted. They knew where they were stuck. My friends wouldve given up and that would ve been a shame because they loved their stay once they reached the property.

Um lugar que fará parte da minha história para sempre. Excelente local para descansar e realizar pequenos mas grandes eventos. Como o meu casamento.! O staff super atencioso, a nosso bem estar é o seu principal objetivo. Quartos magníficos e confortáveis. Pequeno- almoço diversificado e de confeção caseira. Uma delícia! Excelente qualidade preço.

Zeer gezellig, het personeel is heel vriendelijk en het eten is niet duur én zeer lekker. Het uitzicht vanuit het zwembad is super mooi en je komt hier helemaal tot rust. Verder is het station ook vrij dichtbij en dus is dit ook de perfecte verblijfplaats voor een (paar) daagje(s) Porto.

This was hands down the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The pool was gorgeous, room was spectacular, the whole property was breathtaking with views of the whole country side and vineyard. If you have the chance to stay here, do not hesitate to go!

Estuvimos celebrando la Boda de nuestros amigos Manu y Rui y la experiencia fue MARAVILLOSA... el lugar es precioso, las habitaciones muy bonitas y cómodas, todo muy limpio, la comida deliciosa y Ana la anfitriona nos atendió increíble, super preocupada estuvo durante todo el dia y boda pendiente de hasta el más minimo detalle, mucho más presente incluso que la wedding planner, muy amable en todo momento a pesar del estrés que puede provocar una boda.
Lo recomendamos 100% y de seguro volveremos!!! nos llevamos los mejores recuerdos de "Valxisto House" muchas gracias a todos por haber hecho esta experiencia increible!!!!

Sehr schön gelegene Unterkunft. Kommt schnell und kostengünstig mit dem Zug nach Porto. Man kann im Countryhouse sehr gut essen. Wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht, ist hier richtig aufgehoben.

I cannot stress how good this place is. Top-to-bottom, this is a great establishment to stay. Quiet, subtle, beautiful. Attentive staff that genuinely cares about your stay. Breakfast is top notch and we stayed for dinner and probably had our best meal in portugal. I recommend. You will love it.

Sehr herzliche Gastgeber, schöne und saubere Zimmer, ausgezeichnetes Frühstückbuffet, abwechslungsreiches aber zu üppiges Abendessen, grosse Weinkarte mit sehr moderaten Preisen.Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können das Guesthouse jederzeit empfehlen. Die aufgrund der ausgezeichneten Bewertungen bereits hohen Erwartungen wurden noch übertroffen.

Local muito bem tratado e super arranjado, com muito espaço exterior, vista deslumbrante sobre a serra, que tranquiliza e ajuda a relaxar. Quarto super confortável, pequeno almoço muito bom com produtos caseiros e outros locais, muito frescos. Proprietários cuidadosos atenciosos e preocupados com o bem estar dos hóspedes.

Lugar MARAVILLOSO para desconectar y para disfrutar unos días con tu pareja, con tus hijos o con tus mascotas .Super amables, ENCANTADORES, te hacen sentirte como un rey .Recomiendo cenar o comer alguna vez o varias veces allí,además a muy buen precio.Todo lo que se come allí es casero. El desayuno genial. Pero lo mejor es lo bien que te atienden y la casa y el entorno espectacular,vamos, lo mejor de alli es TODO !!

Ongekende gastvrijheid waarbij letterlijk niets te gek is. Met ontzettend veel passie en plezier worden hier alle gasten verwend. Bij binnenkomst staat een bordje met de tekst 'welcome to your home'. En dat ga je je ook zeker voelen. Heel knap en zeker een reden om een keer terug te willen keren.
Een tip voor toekomstige bezoekers....blijf vooral een keer mee eten want er wordt erg goed gekookt. Ontbijt is overigens ook erg uitgebreid en vers. Alles uit de eigen tuin.

This place is a real jewel. Family owned and run. Amazing scenery and an excellent opportunity to dine one site while sitting next to the original stone wine vats used by the family to make wine for generations. I cant say enough about how charming this place is. It is a bit remote, but worth the drive.

et copieux.Localisation intéressante pour visiter la Vallée du Douro, Amarante..Porto se trouve à une trentaine de kilomètres et on peut s'y rendre en train depuis la gare du village voisin, et on arrive en plein centre ville à Sao Bento.

Perfection. A beautifully renovated, charming and spotlessly clean place oozing with character, and hosted by a lovely couple that makes sure your travel needs are well taken care of. The breakfast was the best we had in our 10 day trip to Portugal - all homemade items that were delicious, local and carefully prepared in a ideal setting. You will love it.

Wunderschönes kleines Countryhouse. Sehr geschmackvolle Mischung aus alt und neu. Die Location ist hervorragend für Ausflüge nach Porto, ins Douro-Tal oder entlang der Route Romanico. Wir sind unglaublich herzlich empfangen und umsorgt worden. Ana und Andrea sind immer um das Wohl ihrer Gäste bemüht. Hervorragendes Frühstück mit selbstgekochter Marmelade, selbstgebackenem Kuchen und frischen Früchten aus dem Garten. Am Abend kann man Anas selbstgekochtes Menü aus regionalen oder sogar selbst angebauten Zutaten genießen. Wir haben uns wie zuhause gefühlt und wurden nach drei Tagen verabschiedet wie Freunde. Jederzeit wieder!

The hotel is a group of large, over a century old, granite farm buildings that have been beautifully re-purposed into a charming, modern, small hotel, with decor along the lines of a Portugese, Martha Stewart vibe. It is surrounded by vineyards, orange trees, an organic garden, and infinity pool. A short walk down the lane leads to a tiny farm village with beautiful, high stone walls and a wonderful wine bar. The hotel owner is the great grandson of the original farmer and he and his wife couldnt be more hospitable. Jams are homemade and superb, not to mention great rolls. We thoroughly enjoyed a Saturday night dinner prepared by the owners mother and his wife - all homemade and delicious - in spite of returning later than anticipated. Although the weather was poor, every aspect of the hotel experience was a pleasure. The family is genuinely sincere in helping you enjoy every element of your stay. Be aware that the hotel can be challenging to find, as its a tiny town and the address didnt come up on our GPS. The owner suggested Googling the hotel by name to get directions that way. However you get there, the area has lots to offer and is well worth the trip.
