Casa da Matriz war eines der besten Unterkünfte auf unserem Weg Caminho Portugues. Die Besitzerin ist eher eine Gastmutter mit riesigem Herzen, die einen umsorgt als sei man ein enger Verwandter. Das Zimmer und Bad sowie das ganze Haus sind sehr gepflegt und sauber...ich habe mich direkt wohl gefühlt. Ein grosses Danke an dich Mao dos peregrinos. Be habe Rita Julia April, 2019

This is first time that I write the review in the Google because this is the best place of Pilgrim’s ever. Rita is the host best ever in my entier journey, she is so nice and she is so kind to explain everyting what you need in this albergue (there is a washing machine, kitchen and billard, everything). I’ll never find like this kind woman and she opened this albergue since her son was died. Thanks for her thoughful welcome and I wanted to try anything because I had such a heeled experience like a meditation, the ville is just perfect also. Highly highly recommanded.

Ubytování jsme využili na jednu noc jako poutníci do Santiaga de Compostela. Přivítala nás velice milá paní majitelka Rita s otevřeným srdcem a poskytla nám nadstandardní ubytování ve velice čistém, příjemném a klidném prostředí. Mohu jen doporučit.

To cudowne miejsce na nocleg . Gdy weszłam zmęczona po bardzo ciężkim etapie Rita bez słów powitała mnie butelka zimnej wody . Super czyściutko , wygodnie , wszystkie udogodnienia . Było tak cudownie ze zaspalysmy następnym ego dnia . Dziękujemy ci Rita !

Casa da Matriz is the perfect place to stay! Having walked all day in the camino portugués da la costa, I came, by coincidence, past senhora Ritas house. La senhora Rita was so welcoming and sweet, really the dearest kind of person. Full of genuine caring. During my stay we talked a lot, we talked some more, and I actually decided to go back and visit her. So I did, and we became friends, the beginning of a very beautiful friendship full of life and grace. Her casa da matriz is lovely, very clean with big terraces and big rooms. Magnifique !

Ganz tolles Gästehaus in Fao. Sehr nette Dame die uns bewirtet hat, tolle Zimmer, alles sehr gepflegt. Vielen Dank nochmal für alles. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Wir kommen gerne wieder und möchten diese Unterkunft empfehlen.

Next to the house being absolutely comfortable, well organized, clean and equiped with a very good kitchen, the owner Rita is an absolutely wonderful person and host. It was a coincidence that we arrived here. we did the caminho de portuguese and went through fao. we asked at a bakery where we can sleep tonight. a nice women brought us to Rita. A wonderful cute lady, with the heart on the right place. I definetly would stay another night there. clean rooms, and and beautiful house. A very nice fish and bbq restaurant is only 100m away. Its called Tio Pepe. Buen Camino!

Luksusowe warunki. Pościel i ręczniki. Część pokoi z własną łazienką. W pełni wyposażona kuchnia. Wspaniała właścicielka częstuje orzeszkami i ciasteczkami. Każdego żegna osobiście. POLECAM!!!

I stayed at the 19th September for one night. I had the best room in the house (comfortable Bed, luxurious Bathroom, great balcony). Rita was the kindest person that I have met on the Camino. She is such a good host that cares about her guest and is always willing to help, when she is needed. I just created a google account for the soul purpose of being able to give Rita’s Casa 5 stars. -Jonas

Eine super Unterkunft. Liebevoll eingerichtete Zimmer, sauberes Bad, gutes Frühstück und die beste Gastgeberin.

Durch Zufall sind wir hier untergekommen. Eine sehr liebe Herbergsmutter. Wir wurden hier sehr herzlich empfangen und hatten eine sehr schöne Übernachtung mit Frühstück. Kann man nur vom Herzen empfehlen.

A simpatia com que a Dona Rita acolhe os seus hóspedes é fabulosa. Quartos espaçosos com muita luz solar, ambiente acolhedor, tudo o que se necessita para ter uma estadia confortável. Recomendo

Rita is absolutely the most kindhearted and caring hostess we have ever met so far on the camino! She treats every guest like family. We felt ourselves at home and got a lot of help from her. I’m very grateful to her and would like to recommend Casa da Matriz to everyone!

Lovely owner, beautiful and homy accomodation, rich breakfest, many possibilities for dinner in the area, lovely place in the centre of the small city. It was one of the best experiences on my Camino to Santiago de Compostela. Thank you Rita!

Sitio increíble. Barato, acogedor, tranquilo. Con cocina y salón. La dueña es muy amable y nos ayudó mucho planificando el camino. La mejor opción para los peregrinos después de un duro día de camino.

Het huis van Rita is een echt thuis voor Palgrims, Rita je bent een schat, zorgzaam en liefdevol. Het was moeilijk vertrekken, na je fantastisch ontbijt. Het huis is ruim, schoon en sfeervol, met een heerlijk terras. Lieve Rita ik zal je niet vergeten. Lieve groet Peter, uit Holland

Rita is an amazing person, she welcomed us as friends and her house was very comfortable and relaxing. It was the best way to end a hiking day.

We feel blessed to find Rita’s wonderful home. She is so warmhearted, helpful, caring and nice lady. We were in need, indeed. She even helped me to relief my knee pain. Beautiful rooms and bathroom, there is a washing machine as well, a big kitchen equipped, huge terrace, located in the heart of the town. We felt like at home. In walking distance restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy. Highly recommend that place.

Luogo per pernottare a Fao lungo il cammino. Attenzione: a Fao non ci sono Albergue comunali, ma se provate a cercarlo con Google vi porterà qui. È più segnalato della Pousada da Joventude nello stesso paese, ma ovviamente più costoso (30 - 40 euro per camera doppia). Una sola stanza ha il bagno in camera (e solarium che dalla camera dà sulla piazza). Per le altre c'è un bagno ogni 2 stanze. Signora molto disponibile vive nella casa a fianco. Lavatrice a disposizione e spazio esterno per stendere. Soggiorno con guide del cammino, giochi da tavolo e biliardo. Asciugamani puliti ma niente lenzuola. Disponibilità di cucina comune. È una casa fatta e finita a 3 piani riconvertita ad alojamento local.

What a lovely place! Matriz is passionate about providing a clean and quiet place for tired pilgrims to rest and recuperate. She is very friendly, authentic and kind-hearted. I highly recommend you stay!
