I was craving some comfort food one evening in Porto, and this place's simple cooking hit the spot.
The dishes are familiar, tasty, and very affordable, the space is lovely (classic Chinese restaurant vibe with a touch of class - it's been around since 1966), and the service is friendly and prompt.

I was really unhappy with the service. The blond waitress was impolite and treated us unkindly, even intentionally. The restaurant was not busy, she let us wait until we find her in the counter. She never said sorry to us. As we are from Asian country, it was terrible experience that we have those experience in Asian restaurant. Her one and inly interest was taking care of other table with Europe people, which makes us feel like we’re being treated racially. I almost forgot about the food because of this. Really mad about that.

Opened in the sixties, it was always the first sight when coming home from Lisbon and crossing the Ponte Luis I bridge. Doesn't fall in the same old same old as the other Chinese restaurants do. Still managed to surprise with some original dishes, and an excellent Peking style Duck. The spring rolls are a must.

This is not an authentic Chinese restaurant but good enough for relieving your hunger.
We were visiting Porto for a couple of days and wanted to eat some Chinese. After we crossed the famous bridge, we came across this restaurant and gave it a try. Some of the waiters were quite friendly but there was one who was really unresponsive and a bit cold. The food was okay but there was almost nothing Chinese about it. When we looked around we only saw local people eating there, no Chinese or Asian people. I guess you know what I mean.

맛있고 저렴합니다. 저녁 식사 하러 갔었는데 저 다음으로 들어온 손님들부터 웨이팅을 하더라구요. 아마 포르투갈 현지인들에게는 특색있는 식사를 하러 오는 곳 같아요. 제가 먹은 음식은 스프링롤(4유로), 치킨수프(1.6유로) 나시고랭(5.5유로) 칭따오 맥주 2병(3.6유로, 1병에 1.8유로) 이렇게 해서 엄청 배불리 먹고 14.7 유로 나왔어요. 사실 스프링롤이나 맥주는 저녁이니까 그냥 한 잔 하고 싶은 마음에 시킨건데 밥이랑 수프만 먹는다면 7~8유로 정도에 정말 든든하게 한 끼 챙겨 먹을 수 있으니 개꿀입니다. 스페인 넘어가기 전에 재방문할거에요!! :)

동 루이스 다리 바로 옆에 있는데, 유럽여행 12일차에 먹은 밥이라 그런지 바닥까지 싹싹 긁어먹었어요. 파인애플볶음밥이랑 칠리새우시켰는데 파인애플볶음밥도 맛있고, 칠리새우는 새우가 실한데 새우가 많이 들어있어서 마음에 들어요.

맛있어요. 그냥 밥에 요리 두세개 (저희는 쇠고기 칠리 페퍼, 마피두부) 시켜서 먹으면 좋아요. 볶음밥은 기름이 좀 많았지만 msg의 힘 덕분인지 적당히 간이 되어있고 맛나요. 한식당이 없어서 그 대안으로 좋아요

포르투갈 여행 7일째에 포르투에는 한식당이 없다는 것을 알고 알아본 후 방문했습니다.
국물있는 닭고기 국수? 같은걸 주문해서 먹었는데 한국의 집앞에있는 중국집에서 먹는 굴짬뽕맛이났습니다. 간도 적당하고 전반적으로 만족스러웠습니다. 한식이 그리운 분들은 한번쯤 들리시는 것도 좋을 것 같습니다.

대항의 시대를 개척한 포루투갈인들이지만 식문화에 대해선 꽤나 보수적인 듯하다. 그 예로 아시안 식당들이 매우 드물다. 포르투에서 아시안 음식을 먹고 싶다면 들를만 하다. 맛이 굉장하지는 않지만 희소성과 접근성이 플러스 요인.

De rir os comentários aqui feitos a elogiar os empregados. Com toda a certeza, por experiência pessoal, das várias vezes que lá fui, a pedidos de outrem, verifiquei SEMPRE o mau atendimento. Cheguei mesmo a ver uma situação em que o funcionário gozou com o cliente. Em relação à comida? TOP!! Muito boa cozinha!! 5 Mas lá está, os funcionários transformam o espaço.

旅先の味に飽きてきたのでアジアの味が恋しくなり訪問しました。メインは北京ダックと酢豚を注文。北京ダックが美味しい!カリカリの皮としっとりした身に甘めのタレでバクバク食べました。これは注文必須です。 酢豚は日本の中華とは違い野菜はほぼなし。豚肉のフリットに甘酸っぱいタレでうーん‥何か違うなという感想。この他に野菜春巻きを注文しましたがそっちの方がおいしい。ふたりでお酒込み30€ほどだったので満足でした。お店は団体客が多い印象。キャパが大きいので待たずに入れると思います。

Had the spicy squid and some fish dish. Both looked and tasted like minced seafood in slightly spicy tomato sauce. On top of that, the kitchen is incredibly slow. It took them half an hour to cook our food, and the place was only half full. The place itself is your default tacky decor, complete with several sets of cutlery and no chopsticks.

Excelente localização, mesmo ao lado da ponte D. LUÍS, excelente decoração e excelente comida. Recomendo o pato à Pequim simplesmente fantástico. Aliás todos os pratos estavam óptimos, das entradas às sobremesas. Provavelmente o melhor restaurante chinês do Porto. Os empregados são profissionais mas não primam pela simpatia, depois da terceira visita melhora um pouco. Mas, fique claro, sempre profissionais e atenciosos. Recomendo

국물이 먹고싶어 갔는데 맛은 그닥... 치킨수프에 있던 작은 고기조각도 비린내가 남. 이집은 한 테이블 메뉴 서빙이 다 끝나고 다음 테이블 주문을 받는지 주문받는데 좀 걸리는 듯하다. 우리 뒤에 20인 단체가 왔는데 그뒤에 오면 못먹고 나갈듯.

O mais antigo restaurante chinês do Porto, e igualmente o que tem a relação preço-qualidade mais pronunciada. Excelente comida e seleção de pratos (o meu favorito é a massa de arroz de galinha), excelente atendimento (destaco o José, um empregado de mesa muito atencioso), e também um espaço muito agradável, com ótima localização (perto do tabuleiro superior da ponte Luíz I). Recomendo vivamente.

A comida não é má, agora o atendimento leva séculos (a comida demora imenso tempo a chegar). Nós desistimos da sobremesa e do café, pois não apareceu nenhum funcionário para arrumar os pratos do jantar e saber se queriamos mais alguma coisa.

동루이스다리 건너자마자 큰 중국음식점
따뜻한 국물요리가 먹고 싶어서 들어간곳. 그리고 꽤나 평이 좋아서 의심없이 들어감.
계란탕과 완탕은 인스턴트 요리보다 못하다. msg맛을 잘 모르는나인데, msg맛이 너무 강해서 못먹겠다. 완탕의 만두에서는 돼지고기비린내까지 남.
볶음면은 면이 뚝뚝 끊어지고 닭고기에서는 닭비린내가 난다.
기대를 많이 했는데, 모든 음식을 남기고 감.
포르투에서 현재9일째 여행중인데, 이제까지 먹은 것중 가장 맛없는 음식 1위를 장식함!!!아마도 앞으로 더 있을 20일중에서도 1위가 될것이다. 맛없는 음식 1위!!!

치킨수프는 백숙 국물같은 맛이나서 맛있었어요. 새우볶음밥도 쌀이 동남아쌀처럼 날리는 느낌이라 그렇지 무난하고 괜찮았습니다.가격도 완전 착하구요. 하지만 식사가 끝나고 접시를 치웠는데도 계산서를 받는데만 40분이 넘게 걸렸습니다. 시간 여유가 있을 때 와서 상관없었지만 뒤에 일정이 있을 땐 오지마세요.

동루이스다리 야경보고 오는길에 발견한 중국집입니다. 우선 가게 직원분들이 정말정말 친절해요!! 특히 아저씨분.. :) 소고기볶음. 나시고랭. 볶음면 포장해 먹었는데 나쁘지 않아서 재방문했습니다. 계란볶음밥+치킨수프 3.2유로에 먹었고 치킨수프는 간만에 시원한 닭계장 먹은 느낌이라 좋았습니다.

Добрый день. Читая отзывы ниже и сравнивая свои впечатления, то мне кажется, что мы были в разных ресторанах. Я не такой большой знаток и почитатель китайской кухни, но иногда хочется поесть чего-то азиатского.
Чисто... Да. Персонал любезный... Да
Но так невкусно и такие маленькие порции я ем в первый раз. По моему опыту в китайских и прочих азиатских ресторанах.... порции большие и цена приятная. Но здесь было все наоборот... Порции маленькие и цена ОГО! Даже сын ему 8 лет который никогда не бывает голодный выйдя от туда сказал что поел бы ещё что нибудь.

중국식당이다. 2명이서 소고기요리와
닭고기 요리, 칭따오맥주 작은것 1병,
물1리터 한병, 밥1공기를 시켜서 먹다가
오랜맛에 조금은 찰진밥을 먹으니
식욕이 동해서 밥을 1공기 더 시켜
점심을 아주 맛있게 먹은 곳이다.

Good price range. You can have a good meal for an accessible price and it's right in the center of the city which makes it easy to find. The exterior is not very welcoming though, there is a difference between what's inside and outside, the inside is way more presentable. Service is fast, but be ready to have to wait some time if there are many people in a restaurant. As for the dishes they are well presented and have a good taste. However, if you are a vegetarian don't expect to have much choice here, there are only a few options and they are not anything special, only rice, chop soey and tofu as main dishes. And a price is high as for those in my opinion(6.50€ for tofu), therefore my average grade for this restaurant.

La comida ha sido bastante insustancial, comparándola con otros restaurantes chinos de la zona, además; los ingredientes en los platos son repetitivos incluso en platos dispares. Los arroces son servidos fríos y dudo que se hallan cocinado en el momento, por lo menos el nuestro presumía de un gusto a rancio y poco agradable, de hecho ahí se quedó. Poca variedad, platos de una gran simpleza y poco sabrosos. El precio es un poco más caro que otros chinos, imagino que por la cercanía al duero. El lugar es tranquilo, y el servicio pobre. Yo no lo recomendaría a mis conocidos.

Terrible service. The food took too long to arrive, some items were missing and at the end they accused us of not paying in full. Food is decent but cannot recommend!

Fui duas vezes a este restaurante. Da primeira vez éramos um grupo de 14 pessoas e tudo decorreu dentro da normalidade apesar do tempo de espera ser um pouco longo.
Da segunda vez éramos um grupo de 7 pessoas, o funcionário da nossa mesa decidiu que não ia servir ninguém enquanto não estivessem as 7 pessoas presentes, mesmo após ser pedido que o fizesse pois as duas pessoas em falta estavam ainda a trabalhar (e ele já tinha sido previamente avisado disso).
Os pratos foram servidos a um ritmo muito lento, chegando a ter 1 hora de espera entre uns pratos e outros (apesar de terem sido todos pedidos ao mesmo tempo). O funcionário em questão era um pouco rude e sempre com comentários inadequados.
Aquando do pagamento da conta, o funcionário da mesa fez questão de culpar as pessoas que chegaram "atrasadas" pelo serviço lento.
A comida é excelente e muito saborosa. Os restantes funcionários apesar de sempre com um serviço mais lento do que seria desejado, são simoasimpá e atenciosos. No entanto o funcionário que nos atendeu estragou a nossa experiência no restaurante.

The best Chinese restaurant in the city.
1) They speak english if you don't know how to speak Portuguese (or Mandarin)
2) They're one of the nicest professionals around the city. If you have a problem with something just say something and they will gladly solve it.
3) Well located, easy to park nearby.
4) Even better with friends or large groups.

This place is horrible. There is a better place in Porto for Chinese food. I don't even think we can consider this to be chinese. The staff were nice but that does not compensate for bad food.

Doesn't look too nice from the outside, but the inside is fine. The service was good and the waiter spoke English. Good job as my Portuguese is non existent. The food was really good if slightly different from what I am used to in the UK. Don't let the outside put you off. It is fine.

O primeiro restaurante chines do porto (1966) boa decoração embora um pouco já acusar os anos, pratos bem confecionados, os preços tem vindo a subir e o atendimento...varia conforme a disposição do empregado, mas recomendo uma visita. Depois não se esqueça de ir à ponte ver a fantástica vista. A não perder.

Food is good, costs are normal but it takes little bit more time to get your food once after placing an order.

Perfect location, just next to the Bridge.
So you can go there once you have admired the view on Porto and the Douro river.
The staff was really friendly, especially with babies.
Prices were also really good.

Take away: I only waited 12 minutes, super quick! When i got home the food was still warm from the neat packages.
Overall: delicious food, not greasy at all (like many other Chinese restaurants) and fair price.
Bonus: the staff is super nice and welcoming!

Muito tempo de espera. Depois de se sentar, fica 30 a 40 min a espera do crepe, e depois 1h e 30 pelo prato. Chegamos as 21 e saímos às 00.00. não voltarei

The Chicken chop suey and chicken noodles were awesome. Reservation is recommended as it can get pretty full late in the evening. Great place for dinner

We were a group of 10 on Christmas day. At the time it felt they were understaffed but must say they tried their best and pre-informed us about the possible delay in food service. Nothing tasted authentic but nothing bad. Chicken Skewers and peking duck a must try.

Came here a handful of times and it is usually very nice. Attentive service, and low prices for one of the oldest (if not the oldest) Chinese restaurant in Porto. Quality is great for the price and there are a lot of different options.

Well I was impressed. Good food, big portions. Had the Orange Chicken and curry beef. Service was great although we were first to arrive! Just a really nice change after three weeks in the country. Right on the edge of the bridge.

Definitely lne of the best and most reliable chinese resturants in Porto. It is also one of the first to open in Porto several decades ago. Dishes are extremely fresh and well prepared, and prices quite low. The restaurant is cosy and well decorated.

Provavelmente o Chinês mais antigo do Porto. Espaço amplo e agradável e atendimento fantástico. Bons preços (excepto sobremesas que são um bocado caras). Boa localização. Só a comida não atinge 5* porque na minha opinião é mediana (mas meramente uma questão de gosto visto que os ingredientes serão de boa qualidade). No final tenciono regressar.

They didn't have a vegan/vegetarian section on the menu, but the waiter told us what was vegan and we ordered rice noodles with some veggies, really tasty! Good service and nice location near the bridge.

aimed at tourist for a quick buck. Sit, order, eat, and get the hell out of there. That's what they think. I would recommend to skip this place and find a decent place to eat. Use tripadvisor because there are many bad restaurants in this area.

I know a lot of chinese restaurants in Porto and this is probably the best. Food is great, so great value for money. Service can be a bit slow during weekdays.
