Gorgeous views, friendly and always accommodating staff with so much knowledge of the area. There's a pool area for the summer and a beautiful deck where you can see all the castles of Sintra. Loved every second of my stay.

This is a fantastic guesthouse in Sintra, far enough from the tourists, but only a 10-15 minute walk to the National Palace, bars, restaurants and shops. The staff and two resident Great Danes are all friendly and happy to help (the dogs aren’t so good ay answering questions though!)The rooms are clean and quiet with balconies. From room 6 we got a view of the Morish Castle and Pena Palace on the hilltop, which looked great during the day and fantastic when lit up at night! There are plenty of amenities in the room (toaster, kettle, fridge) and a shared kitchen where you can prepare your own meals (barbecue also available). The pool has brilliant views and was very refreshing, perfect after a day exploring Sintra.Continental breakfast options are available and a we delivered to your room, and are reasonably priced.There is a clear environmental ethos here, which is great to see and it would be great if other hotels followed their lead (e.g refillable glass bottles of water rather than plastic).

We stayed in number 8, one of the newer rooms with a terrace and on the end so no one walks past and more private. Fantastic view over the valley and up to the castle and Pena Palace, all lit up at night. Very hot so the pool at the end of the day was fantastic. Fully equipped kitchen on site for guests if you want to eat in on your terrace and breakfast brought to your room. Good selection of beer, wine and snacks available from reception and a fridge in your room.Lovely quiet area, with a 10 minute walk up hill into the centre. A great place to stay with helpful and friendly staff. Oh and yoga if you want to as well. Definitely recommend you view their website.

Very pleasant scenic facility. In need of minor maintenance. If walking be aware that the area is very steep. Breakfast good. No TV or air conditioning. Be aware of very large dogs present.

Een heerlijke week in Casa do Valle gehad. Prachtige, rustige plek met schitterend uitzicht. Goede accommodatie en vriendelijk, behulpzaam personeel. Gratis parkeren op eigen terrein is mogelijk. Elke ochtend werd een heerlijk ontbijt op de kamer bezorgd, al had er wel een eitje bij gemogen.
Op wandelafstand (500 m) van het gezellige centrum van Sintra, al is dat wel een behoorlijke klim. Ook een prima plek als uitvalsbasis voor Lissabon (ruim een half uur met de trein).

My husband and I and a couple of friends stayed here and visited Sintra. The hospitality offered is extraordinary! The rooms are clean and have amenity needed. The property is beautiful, peaceful and located very close to the Main Street of Sintra and the National Palace. Amazing views fro our room. The staff goes above and beyond! I definitely suggest staying at this property!

There are a lot of steps up and down, but that applies to all of Sintra - it is a hilly place. The room had incredible views, service was excellent and breakfast is delivered to your room. It is a 10 minute up hill walk to the center of town. While you may need a car to get here, the traffic in Sintra is pretty bad, so plan on walking or using a taxi to get to the various palaces, gardens and castles nearby.

We had a very pleasant 5 night vacation at Casa do Valle. The staff were very friendly and helpful and provided us with lots of useful information on the best places to visit and how to get around. The Garden room apartment was comfortable and it was really nice to have breakfast in our room rather than having to troop down to a restaurant area every morning. The Weather was not very nice on the week we visited, so we did not use the pool or gardens, but there were nice facilities to relax in had we chose to do so.

Fabulous stat for 6 nights while attending a yoga retreat. Asa large group we had arranged for a buffet breakfast every morning and snack lunches as well as several dinners. They also can provide guides to hike or walk with you to local sights. Everything you need can be made to happen.
The rooms are delightful and the workers friendly, helpful and willing to meet your needs. The grounds are lovely, but if you have mobility issues, problem knees or issues with balance I would not recommend. Surfaces are hilly and uneven. Many steps and some are made of uneven rocks. It’s a short five to ten minute walk to the center. Hope to be back !

Geweldig verblijf. Mooi uitzicht op Sintra haar bezienswaardigheden vanaf ons balkon (kamer 5). Goed ontbijt en leuke tips voor bezoeken in de omgeving gekregen van de gastvrouw.

The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The location was just a 5-10 min walk from the city center. It was a very cute hotel/villa-like place and I would definitely stay there again.

Loved most everything about this stay. The room was a little small but nothing that you couldn’t live with as most of our time was spent out seeing things. The Staff were Awesome. Everyone of them were pleasant and helpful. Also, loved the delivered Breakfast each morning. Worth the small amount and extremely tasty. The only issue was that we did have a few bugs. Not their fault but nonetheless annoying.

We were only going to stay for 1 day, stayed an extra day, tried for a 3rd but they were full. Very help staff and beautiful place throughly enjoyed our stay there!

The room was a long walk from the car parking area over uneven steps and stones and there is a very strong smell of sewer gas on the grounds and in the room. At night there was very insufficient lighting which made for a dangerous walk. A flashlight is a necessity! The bed sagged to the middle. The city closed the road into the property for resurfacing and we were unable to find our way back after dinner. I called the property but didn’t hear back until 6:30 the next morning. Fortunately I prevailed upon the police guarding the resurfacing and he stopped the crew and had them move their equipment so we could return for the night. Driving in Sintra is a real challenge with VERY narrow streets, many one-way roads and extreme hills and curves. Not my favorite destination.

The layout and laid back feel of the property and guesthouse was lovely. The room was great and had real character. Only stayed a night but wish we had stayed longer.

Great views of the surrounding hills. Free parking!!! Very reasonable rates. Nice swimming pool. Extremely friendly staff. The only thing I would add is a larger and visible sign at the nearby street where you have to turn left with your car, even though it is marked with a sign stating that circulation is restricted

This was our favorite part of Sintra. Between the idyllic pool and the breakfast brought to your room each morning, we had an amazing time at Casa do Valle. We stayed in one of the rooms in the converted garage with so many windows and space, it felt like we were really splurging! Though a short walk into the main city center, the hotel is super quiet with parking available. Check-in was super easy and very helpful. Highly recommend to others!

Very relaxing guesthouse. Perfect oasis from the busy streets of Sintra. Great views and wonderful breakfasts. People are very friendly and helpful and we loved the Great Danes. We travelled with a four year old and it was great to have the garden space to run around and pool to cool off

The lower bedrooms look over a rustic valley with terraced vineyards, sheep grazing etc. Looking up the Moorish castle dominates the skyline. All this while having your breakfast on the terrace. These bedrooms are west facing so you can sleep late if you desire.

We had a really lovely stay here. The hotel is split over several garden tiers and our room was on the lowest level, at the end of the row with arguably the best unspoilt view of the castle and palace above us. A serene spot to have breakfast in the morning.

Joanna our host made our stay special-she is a very warm inviting person. Our rooms were nicely appointed with great attention to detail!We enjoyed being greeted by Pandora,Oscar & Baron as we r animal lovers!Great facility & location with short walk to town-Sintra is well worth the visit-only wish we had stayed longer as enjoyed accommodations so much!

Honestly the most wonderful hotel. Could not rate in highly enough. Excellent value for money. Most beautiful setting of lush trees and flowers, with views to die for. Casa do Valle is so well equipped, there is a great pool, a kitchen to use, you can order light snacks and drinks at good prices, nothing is too much trouble. Great location and you can park easily. Already booked my next trip.

Es sind schöne eingerichtete Zimmer. Die Zimmer sind aber etwas hellhörig und haben kein TV. Ist ein schönes Hotel zum runterkommen und zum relaxen. Wann kommt das Frühstück ins Zimmer gebracht. Nachteil Frühstück gibt’s erst ab 8:30 Uhr. Das Hotel liegt zentral und ist dennoch In ruhiger Umgebung. Die Parkmöglichkeiten sind begrenzt. Auf dem Parkplatz passen zur Zeit nur maximal vier Autos.

It is a quality hotel with tremendous view over Sintra city, mountains and castles. Very good breakfast and close to the historic city of Sintra. From hotel you easily start your trekking routes. I recommend!
Laatuhotelli ja mieletön näköala Sintran vanhaan kaupunkiin, vuorille ja linnoille. Aamupala on erittäin hyvä ja historiallinen Sintran kaupunki muutaman sadan merin päässä. Hotellilta on helppo aloittaa vaellusretket. Tein vaelluksen Palacio Penalle ja matkaa tuli noin yhdeksän kilomeriö ja korkeuseroa noin 700m. Suosittelen!

This accommodation offered wonderful views on the patio outside of our room where we enjoyed their great breakfast. It is very quiet and the views of the valley were phenomenal. The most valuable asset of this hotel is the resourcefulness, passion and knowledge of Virpi who provided us with maps and directions on the less charted but more scenic paths to get to the castles.

La ubicación no es la mejor, en especial si uno va en auto porque no tiene estacionamiento. El lugar muy lindo y el hotel muy bueno. Sería un 4.5 por la ubicación.

Wunderschön gelegenes Hotel. Wir hatten direkten Blick in die Natur.Sehr nettes und hilfreiches Personal, Frühstück wird ins Zimmer serviert.Einziger negativ Punkt war die Toilette, bei welchem sich der Ring gelöst hat und leider auch auf Nachfrage nicht repariert wurde.

Nous avons passé une nuit dans ce lieu très charmant.Calme, confortable et entouré dun super jardin fleuri avec piscine, nous avons regretté le mauvais temps qui ne nous a pas permis de profiter pleinement de ces prestations.Nous recommandons cet hôtel. Très bien situé et places disponibles dans la rue afin de garer sa voiture. Accès au centre ville à pied.

This was our 2nd time back...and once again the service, rooms and general atmosphere was excellent.
Set just below the main town there are fantastic views up to the many popular tourist attractions. Very relaxing and tranquil.
Room Tip: Try and get the rooms on the decking. Great space and fantastic views.
