Alejandro Arroyo: OPORTO IS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE. Nonetheless, Margarida (I guess an employee from the property) and the cleaning lady whom took care of the apartment twice during our 5 days stay, were about the best in this place. The apartment was small, bedrooms had no doors. Only two electrical heaters per apartment (no central heat or air conditioner) Bathroom had problems with the toilet; they moved us to another but the brakers kept on tripping all night and we just had to sleep with covers to resist temperatures of 4 degrees C. One of us developed fever and strong coughing, hope it is not serious. By the way, they wanted us to pay in cash before showing us the apartment and said credit card terminal wasn't working. I rejected paying cash. Finally they managed to make the terminal work. I paid the full amount by credit card but they didn't give me an invoice saying they would send it by e-mail. I'm still waiting. The charge was through a company called Vintage Oporto. To communicate with management had to be via SMS or using my cell. Of course all these should've alert us but due to the dates (Dec 29th...specially on the 31st), being in an unknown city, and that they already had my credit card number in a non refundable deal, didn't give me a margin to try to find a different property.

Entrei na loja onde, à primeira vista, a senhora chamada Melinda me fez um olhar sujo e perguntou o que eu precisava. Eu disse a ela que precisava devolver alguns itens, como sempre faço. Depois perguntei imediatamente se eu tinha um recibo quando disse que não, porque por acaso não guardei todos os meus recibos. Ela fez um comentário ao outro empregado dizendo que poderiam ser itens roubados e chamou o gerente Oscar, que veio com uma atitude ainda pior e disse-nos que não podíamos devolver nada que não tivesse recibo. E para lidar com isso .

O dono, Pim, é muito simpático e amigável. Os inventários são abundantes, mas muito desorganizados. As mercadorias não são etiquetadas com nomes e preços. Então eu perguntei sobre o preço de uma peça e a dona disse que era $4.50 mas quando eu fui pagar por ela ela me cobrou $7 e a outra é uma Geode de $38. Eu notei isso imediatamente mas optei por não confrontá-la porque eu não vou perder a minha calma por mais de $2,50. Se ela precisa tanto desses $2,50, fico feliz em dar-lhos. Mas eu me recuso a apoiar comerciantes desonestos. Quando uma pessoa lhe mostra quem é; acredite neles da primeira vez! Eu irei para outros negócios com maior integridade.
