Booked this room because the hotel was listed as an airport hotel. It is a.fifteen to twenty minute drive away from the airport. When we got there there was no one answering the Bell. There was a mixup communicating our time of arrival so when we arrived no one was there. There was a phone number outside but we couldnt use our phones so we had to stand outside with all our luggage at 11pm until we asked the bartender a couple doors down to call for us. When an employee did arrive to let us in a couple minutes later he was very helpful in checking us in. The room and the property were lovely and I would maybe stay there again if I was looking to see Porto for a few days but it is not a good choice for an overnight layover.

Lugar aconchegante, tranquilo, quartos muito bem limpos diariamente, muito bom atendimento, o quarto que fiquei tem uma pequena sacada que dá acesso direto a este quintal. Perto de vários comércios e estação de metrô. Comodidade de acesso ao quarto 24 h por dia.

Ho alloggiato al Koolhouse in ottobre di quest'anno. Sono rimasto sorpreso dalla cordialità del personale , dalla pulizia delle camere e dalla location. Posizione centrale ben servita da bus e metro. Il massimo dei voti per una struttura si questa tipologia . Ci ritornerò.

El lugar es bonito, está alejado del centro pero hay una parada de autobús justo en frente que te deja en la torre de los frailes en pocos minutos. El gran inconveniente que tuvimos fue la humedad, estábamos en la planta baja y la alfombra estaba mojada, las cortinas olían mal al igual que toda la habitación. No sé si fue cosa de un día o es siempre así, para evitar sorpresas yo pediría habitaciones de arriba.

Beautiful apt-style space with balcony overlooking private garden. Comfortable bed, convenient kitchen in a closet, close to public transportation and very central. Stylish suite with high ceilings and modern decor.

Fake description, place is on a second floor not first, without elevator, and with steep stairs, then the A/C was not working, temperature outside was around 95 but inside the room was about 110, felt like a sauna... we complained with a clerk but between her lack of english nor spanish it was like talking to a wall, a total disaster

From the outside you may think you have arrived at the wrong place as it doesn’t look like a hotel at all but once inside you find you are in a grand and beautifully kept old Portuguese house. The rooms are large and clean with balcony and access to fabulous garden. It is well located with good transport links. It’s like having the key to your own apartment rather than a hotel. Definitely recommend this place

Établissement très spacieux, grande chambre, grand lit et tout ça très propre. L’hotel n’est pas très loin de la plage et très proche du centre de porto, donc idéal pour des vacances réussies. Nous disposions également d’un grand jardin, avec des chaises et des transats, très agréable en fin de journée. De plus l’hotel est sécurisé par deux digicodes qui nous laissent donc sans préoccupations. Rita (l’hote) est très accueillante, très chaleureuse, et toujours à dispotion de ses clients. J’y retournerais donc et recommanderais sans hésitation cet hôtel.

Es un concepto diferente de alojamiento. Viajo por trabajo y me gusta intercalar hoteles y éste tipo de alojamientos más familiares y de muy amplias habitaciones.

No sé porqué está clasificado como albergue ya que es un pequeño hotel muy bien situado y a unos minutos de la estación de Campahna. La habitación que nos dieron fue muy tranquila y estaba impoluta.

Very comfortable two nights! Beautiful building and garden! Room spacious and clean. Bed extra comfortable. Nice hot shower, strong WiFi, quiet and safe location, close to metro. Staff humble but very attentive. Excellent!!

Very nice place, full of character. Lovely high ceilings, beautiful garden and great location.Minor detail but there was a constant funny smell of damp, that we could feel when arriving to the flat. It wasnt very strong but just a bit annoying. The hotel has no allocated parking, even though it says theres parking available. This is pay parking by the roadside.

Buena atención, buen precio. Muy limpio. En mi caso, la habitación disponía de cocina y sofacama extra. Muy cómodo para entrar y salir con password a cualquier hora. Eso sí, no hay aparcamiento para clientes, aunque es fácil encontrar sitio en la calle de enfrente.

Si buscáis un hotel al uso con su servicio de recepción, su bar, un encargado o personal del hotel para hacer una consulta o cualquier otra cosa, este no es el hotel que buscáis. Si buscáis una habitación aunque antigua, amplía, cómoda y tranquila, con una terracita con una mesita para tomar un cafe, que traigas de fuera claro, entonces si es tú hotel. Si buscas algo a 5 paradas de metro del centro de Porto por un precio de tres noches habitación doble por 190 € impuestos incluidos, esté es tu hotel. Pero si tienes que hablar con alguien del hotel, en persona y por teléfono imposible, suerte tendrás sí te responde por wasap en menos de dos horas, prácticamente alquilas una habitación en un caserón antiguo y búscate la vida para cualquier problema que puedas tener, esté es tu hotel.

Si buscas algo original no muy caro y limpio, amplio y bien comunicado, este es el sitio adecuado, eso si, en un edificio antiguo y huele a cerrado y humedad. Lo bueno que hay una parada de bus que te lleva al centro.

what a fantastic hotel. We had a lovely room with all the amenities that you would need. The host João was really friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and comfortable. We had a double balcony which was great too. Would definitely come back to this hotel. We loved the coffee machine! I highly recommend this place !

Une semaine de reve , accueil tres bon dans cet hotel donnant sur une grande rue la Boavista , métro à 10 mn . Rues tres animees pour arriver pres du Douro. Les gens sont tres serviables.Les restaurants sont tres abordables et la biere est excellente. Les transports en commun sont tres pratiques .

We had a really pleasant stay in Porto in this quite spacious apartment on the ground floor with French window on the garden. In spite the fact the house is right on a busy road, our apartment was very quiet. Not very central, but close to the metro station and with a bakery, cafe and a pharmacy just metres away. All the staff was extremely helpful and kind. Beds comfortable. Very good experience.

Estupenda habitación, amplia y comoda. Con grandes ventanales, estuvimos en la planta baja junto a la entrada. Te dejan botellines de agua como detalle.
La chica que nos atendió encantadora, son aconsejó sobre el transporte publico y nos solucionó algunas dudas.
Atencion y sitio inmejorables. Totalmente recomendable.

We started walking around to staff recommendations and realized what a great location this was. We had a great room that really was a small apt with its own porch leading down to the gardens. the staff was wonderful-we had luggage that the airline lost and they were on the phone for us as we did not speak Portuguese and they were so very helpful. I would highly recommend this boutique hotel and for the cost it was amazing!

Hermoso lugar, una casa antigua muy bien conservada. La habitación muy amplia, la cama muy buena y muy grande, con salida al parque lleno de árboles. Muy bien conectado con el centro de Porto, con varias paradas de bus en la puerta y en metro a 5 minutos. También se puede ir caminando son 20 min aproximadamente

air conditioning machine room next to my room made a continuous high pitched whining noise with even higher pitched periods in between.heating was not working, when on warm mode, fans would not start.email during stay was never answered.

Boas instalações, mas não se pode considerar um hostel. Mais uma casa de hóspedes. Prefiro um hostel mesmo com as várias diferenças, positivas. Como a companhia e intercâmbio entre pessoas de todo o mundo. A disponibilidade dos responsáveis é muito diferente de um casa de hóspedes, mesmo que boa como esta. Um hostel é uma experiência agradável e enriquecedora!

Rita was great and so were staff. Room very clean and comfortable beds and living areas. Only problem was the ac was not working properly so it was warm in the evenings to sleep. Other than the ac everything else was good. Centrally located inboavista avenue.

A must! Use the phone to reserve not websites, it's even cheaper and some of the rooms aren't even on the web. Awesome for groups each room has a bathroom, very well kept, balcony with garden on both floors and to top it off it is quite spacious, not a bunk bed semi hostel like others, more like a hotel with few rooms.

The apartment was amazing. Clean, very spacious and being on the ground floor we had direct access to the garden. The double bed was huge, my partner was miles away, pity. Location was perfect, near the Metro and the bus stop was right outside the enterance. If we return to Porto this apartment will be where we will stay. Thanks for a great stay

Casa familiar linda, muito bem adaptada a hotel residencial, muito perto da Casa da Música, limpeza impecável, pessoas atenciosas, requinte de acolhimento com chás, cafés, chaleira e garrafas de água no quarto, boa casa de banho, bons aquecimentos, local muito sossegado, lindo jardim repleto de camélias, autocarro em frente que passa em Serralves. Wir haben alles genau so vorgefunden, wie im Internet beschrieben! Das Haus liegt sehr günstig zu Metro- und Bushaltestelle: in 15 Minuten ist man im Zentrum. Unsere Gastgeberin war überaus freundlich und bemüht und gab uns viele gute Tipps. Die Av. de Boavista ist eine viel befahrene Straße - deswegen empfehlen wir, bei Buchung ein Zimmer zum (wunderschönen) Garten zu reservieren.

Bei Anreise vom äußeren Zustand der Umgebung irritiert. Das Hotel (besser Pension) überzeugte jedoch durch seinen Charme: altes Gebäude, innen im klassischen Stil (Eingangsbereich) gut erhalten. Zimmer groß, Betten gut, Duschbad und Toilette ok.. Zimmer (Erdgeschoss) mit Terrasse und Zugang zum Garten (Nutzung gegeben). Alles in allem: eine gute Entscheidung.

The room was comfortable and nice, very spacious with a large garden that everyone can use. The lady who helped me check in was absolutely brilliant, very friendly and helpful. She gave me lots of advice on things to see and do in Porto, vegetarian restaurants and also suggested some nice towns to visit. The wifi was good and they supplied free bottles of water each day. Its within walking distance to the centre, and if you dont mind a long walk, you can also get to the beach by walking down the Boavista. Theres a vegetarian/vegan restaurant across the road from Koolhouse which served some of the best food Ive ever tasted. I really enjoyed my stay, Porto is well worth a visit and Koolhouse was a great choice!

Magnifico chalet que sirve de hotel, en avenida principal, cerca de la Casa de la Música. Habitaciones amplias, insonorizadas (no se aprecia ruido de avenida). Muy limpio. Cama estupenda. Cuarto de baño magnifico, grande y moderno. Tiene parada de autobús delante de la puerta.

En juillet, chambre sur un boulevard où il y a de la circulation jusquà 2 heures. Sommeil difficile si on ouvre les fenêtres parce quil y fait chaud: bruits, moustiques peuvent vous empêcher de dormir.Il faudrait de la climatisation pour régler le problème. Parking de la rue payant en semaine.

The guesthouse is very comfortable, nicely decorated, new mattresses and pillows. The bathrooms have been recently remade. It is located one block away the Casa da Musica and approximately 30 blocks from old town but there is a bus that stops at the door that takes you to the very centre. There is also the underground three blocks away that takes you downtown, to the airport, railway station, . . . There are two cafes in the same block where you can have breakfast and the Mercado del buen suceso is about 3 blocks away. This is a very nice place to have both lunch and dinner with the added value that it closes at midnight.

Um palacete convertido em pequeno hotel, absolutamente central na av. Boavista, perto da casa da música (e metro e autocarros), com um jardim acolhedor e simpático. O staff é muito simpático e disponível. O único ponto menos positivo é a ausência de pequeno-almoço (que se compreende pela dimensão e organização do hotel), mas é facilmente colmatado pela existência de varias boas pastelarias a 5-50 mrtros. Excelente!
