location of the guest house is good. Just about 20mins walk to the City centre. Quiet area with off street parking. The room is small but is OK for short stay. Every staff was very friendly with good breakfast.

Según la normativa que fue aprobada el 12 de diciembre de 2018 por el gobierno local dirigido por el alcalce Rui Moreira con el objetivo de reducir la "presión sobre la infraestructura y el equipamiento público y urbano que supone el turismo”.Oporto aplica la tasa turística de dos euros por pernoctación y persona hasta un máximo de siete noches consecutivas. Nosotros (2 personas) estuvimos un día entero y una noche y este hotel nos cobró 8€ por la cara. Tengan cuidado! Por lo demás todo bien.

Zona molto tranquilla in posizione comoda a 10 minuti a piedi dalla stazione Sao Bento e circa 6 dalla stazione Metro Heroismo. Buona colazione, varia dolce e salata. La camera comoda, pulita e silenziosa

Nettes historisches Gebäude mit Charme. Zimmer sauber, modern und absolut ausreichend für Städtetrip. Ruhige Gegend, ca. 20 min zu Fuss ins Zentrum. 7 min. Zur Metro.

Après un séjour-promotion dans un 5*, nous nous sommes rabattus sur le DUKES, non loin.
Tout autre chose, mais cosy: à la bonne franquette: on préfère!
Le patron est bien sympa et parle français.
Les chambres: petites mais sympa et clean.
Et: le petit déjeuner était super!

One of the most charming places I've stayed in. Set back from the busy city streets, this immaculate guest house is an oasis of calm, with beautifully furnished, comfortable interiors and its own little garden courtyard. Five minutes walk from two nearby metro stations (24 de Agosto, Heroísmo), direct from the city airport.

What a wonderful place to stay .. near the metro with local cfae and bars but without the hustle and bustle of central Porto, and touristy prices. However ... dont be put off - the area is undergoing some regeneration , so some roadworks and building updating in the area. The Dukes experience is fabulous, polite, exceptional local knowledge, very welcoming. The rooms are modern, minimalist, with just enough of evrything to make for a great stay .. the bed and bedding are superb .. excellent quality throughout. No fancy unnecessary extras .. super breakfast in a lovely open airy room, with subtle touches like an orange juicer, and fresh pancakes as well as fresh pastries ... It is also possible to buy wine for your room or the lounge area at very good prices and quality. We cannot rate our experience here highly enough .. the owner and two young ladies who looked after us did so with the greatest of ease and kindness .. loved it!

Erg goede plek om de stad te gaan ontdekken. Vanaf deze lokatie loopt u zo de gezellige stad in. De kamer is niet groot maar van alle gemakken voorzien. De bedden hebben de juiste hardheid en afmeting. De kamer is schoon en fris. Het ontbijt valt een beetje tegen de plek waar je zit is prima maar de keuze is matig. De koffie is te slap. Wij hebben hier drie nachten gelogeerd de kamer en bedden 5 sterren het ontbijt 3 sterren.

A delightful guest house near the centre of Porto. We had the family suite and it suited us as a family of three perfectly. Friendly welcome and our host treated us to a glass of port and took endless trouble to tell us about what we might visit in the city. Good breakfast and easy walk to see all the sights of Porto. Bonus that we parked outside for free.

Baño empotrado y sin ascensor
Se trata de una casa antigua de grandes habitaciones y techos altos . Han incrustado un cajón de madera en la habitación y con un poco de pintura y unos azulejos han puesto el baño.
La habitación es pequeñita y sin armario. Tiene una cuerda pegada a la pared con unas perchas... NO tiene aire acondicionado pero SI dos estupendas ventanas para abrir por la noche.
NO tiene ascensor y SI muchas escaleras empinadas. No tiene casi luz en el baño, si quieres pintarte una raya en los ojos es imposible.
La variación variación esta muy limpia y el desayuno está bien.

We only spent one night at Dukes. Having spent three nights in a busy part of Porto, with much noise and action, Dukes location was calming and pleasing before heading on to Lisbon. We were able to still walk 15 minutes to the river front of the Douro from Dukes. The staff was friendly and helpful, calling for taxis and giving suggestions. The room is quite small, so if you need space, this is not the place for you. It is really one single room, a corner of which is taken up by a bathroom. If there had not been a small balcony, I would not have had enough air. The room includes a free breakfast.

The building is beautiful and excellently restored. It is the perfect combination of historic charm and modern comfort. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. What really made the stay amazing though is the staff - Luis, Fatima and the breakfast staff were all amazing. They were so helpful in giving recommendations and were very kind to our children. The location is very convenient to all the sites. Additionally, there are restaurants and stores nearby.

Sehr nettes, hilfsbereites und aufmerksames Personal. Zimmer sauber aber unser Zimmer leider zu klein. Für unseren Kurztrip war es oK wenn man aus der Reisetasche leben kann. Frühstück für uns Deutsche, viel Süßes aber auch Schinken und Käse. Gekochte Eier leider nur kalte. Frisch gepresster Orangensaft. Für 3-4 Tage würden wir es wieder buchen. Zentrum zu Fuß gut erreichbar.

Das Doppelzimmer war sehr klein.Dies ging nicht aus der Zimmerbeschreibung hervor.Das Bad war in das Zimmer eingebaut,was das ansonsten alte ansehnliche Zimmer klein und hässlich machte.Es fehlte ein Schrank.

Notre séjour était très agréable. Les chambres au deuxième etage étaient très propres et très calmes. Mention spéciale pour l acceuil et le service du petit déjeuner qui étaient tout simplement parfaits (pasteis de nata a tomber....).Merci pour ce séjour parfait.

Das Personal ist freundlich aber bisschen verpeilt. Wir waren für drei Nächte in dem Haus in einem Doppelzimmer. Es gab weder einen Schrank noch irgend eine andere Möglichkeit seine Sachen zu verstauen. Lediglich Kleiderhaken . Das Zimmer war definitiv zu klein und zu eng für zwei Personen.

This guest house is pretty good! Its around a twenty minute walk from most of the tourist attractions in Porto, which gives it a pretty good feeling of what Porto is like outside of that district (conveniently a couple blocks away from a laundromat!). Our room was acceptably comfortable (on the third storey, no elevator), but I was disappointed in the small bathroom. I was happy with staying here.

Es un hotel con encanto, no es el típico hotel cuyas habitaciones son todas iguales, el personal es encantador, es un sitio en el vas para descansar despues de una camina viendo Oporto. Muy recomendable.

The guest house is located in a residential neighborhood of the city, not right in the heart of the more crowded center. I chose this guest house because I wanted to avoid staying in the busiest downtown area, so this was fine with us. There are some great local restaurants and a couple of metro stops within walking distance. The guest house is wonderfully restored with some blueprints on display in the reception area for architecturally minded visitors. The suite that fits a family of 4 is pretty, very clean, with a lovely little balcony overlooking the street.Light sleepers may find the street noise or early morning seagulls will wake you up - we are already city dwellers used to constant traffic on our block.Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The owner and staff are genuinely friendly and very helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay. We didnt have time to see everything wed hoped to, so we hope to make it back to Porto soon.

I made the reservation hour and a half before the arrival. We arrived at 8PM but the door was closed. After I called the properties phone number it took 15 minutes before somebody came and helped. We did not get into our room until 20:45. Room has small bathroom was a home-made flimsy built-in unit. We could not keep the window open because of a midnight trash pick up, dog barking on top of all the regular city noise. Breakfast was to be served 8 a.m. but was 15 minutes late. Breakfast was okay but brought out very slowly. One lady could not keep up. We stayed in the good places for less money and enjoyed better service and better anemities.

Fabulous guest house in a great, quite and very pretty location. Breakfast was good. Room was just lovely and so comfortable with own entrance to courtyard but what is outstanding is the service. Amazing helpful, friendly, warm service. Thank you Fatima!

Estuvimos 2 noches en este hotel. Hotel muy bien situado, a tan solo 15 minutos andando del centro de oporto, se puede aparcar en la calle sin ningún problema ya que la zona es muy tranquila. El hotel esta genial, camas súper cómodas y buena limpieza, el baño era algo pequeño pero para mi no era ningún inconveniente. Desayuno que cumple las expectativas. En resumen volveria a repetir sin ninguna duda.

Sauber, nett und für den Preis unschlagbar. Das Zimmer war klein aber hatte alles was man braucht. Wenn man zu zweit reist sollte man aber mit den Badezimmergeräuschen desder Mitreisenden okay sein, da die Badezimmer nachträglich eingebaut wurden und die Wände mehr Sicht- als Geräuschschutz bieten. Ansonsten ist das Hotel super.

Nos recomendaron lugares donde comer no turísticos muy buenos.

Decided to stay at Dukes Corner Guesthouse during our visit to Porto and it was definitely the right decision! It is based in a quiet, safe area about 10-15 minutes walk from the city centre. The building itself has so much history and both the exterior and interior are an architectural delight. Our room opened out into a small (beautifully tiled) balcony, with steps leading down to a private patio - complete with flower pots and a hammock! The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Although the bathroom has been built within the structure or the room, this added to the quirkiness of the place and by doing so the owners have retained the character of the place. Staff were always helpful and polite, taking the time to answer queries relating to places to visit, directions, etc. Appreciated breakfast being served up until 10am so there wasnt the pressure to get up too early, even though we did make most of the opportunity to see and experience Porto. When, not if, we return to Porto, Dukes Corner Guesthouse will be the place where we will once again choose to stay.

A 10 o 15 minutos del centro histórico, andando muy buena ubicación, limpio, cama muy confortable, el personal muy amable, en el desayuno hecho de menos un mejor café y un zumo natural, pero calidad precio razonable, suerte chicos no dudaré en volver a visitaros

Sympathique ,mes trois nuits et trois petits déjeuné du vendredi 11 novambre au lundi 14 novambre je devrais partir vert 8h30.les petits déjeuners sont au rez de chaussée , mes mon dernier petit déjeuner la porte été fermée et personne nul part et aucune sonneries .donc rien et ventre vide ??? Et posser la clé sur la table à côté de la porte avant de partir.

Excellent guest house qui a contribué à un excellent séjour portugais. Très bon accueil et petits déjeuner ! Sans parler de Luis qui nous permis de découvrir cette magnifique ville de Porto. Lors de notre prochain voyage a Porto, nous savons où loger!

Heel mooi gerenoveerd pand met nette kamers. Zeer goede shuttle service van een naar het vliegveld. Metro is vlakbij en de Douro is op loopafstand.
