This was by far one of the best Indian dishes I’ve had. I ordered the Chicken Biryani and it was wonderful. My girlfriend ordered the chicken vindaloo, which I thought was so good so I ordered another for myself. Not to mention, our server Rohit (I hope I spelled that right) was enthusiastic about the meals and made the experience that much better.

Esperaba más, las samosas congeladas, el arroz basmati pastoso, el pollo con salsa korma de bote, poppadoms refritos y salsas rancias como acompañamiento.
No es recomendable para nada, hay otro "hindú " justo al lado que es muchísimo peor, está bien si vas a comer kebab.
Para los amantes de este tipo de cocina este "Restaurante" es insuficiente.

Excelente atención desde el minuto uno. El camarero asesora y está atento al detalle en todo momento. La comida que sirven es muy sabrosa, con carne muy tierna. El cheese Nan espectacular y el arroz que nos recomendaron también.
El local está decorado con mucho gusto, sin exceso. Hay zona para los niños, con juegos y los baños están muy limpios.

Wirklich das Beste indische essen was mein Gaumen bis jetzt verköstigen durfte, selten so einen vorzüglichen service genossen. Perfekt individuell abgestimmte Schärfe für jeden einzelnen von uns. Viel besser gings eigentlich nicht, richtig stabiler Kellner, kurz vor Ladenschluss noch essen bestellen können und länger sitzen bleiben können. Einfach nur ein Traum.

The best Indian meal I have had for ages
Small immaculately clean indoor seating as well as a large outdoor eating area. Well informed and friendly staff, good service and good atmosphere. They do takeaway too and have just started to deliver. Prices are a little higher than some. Would I visit again? Of course I would.

The food was very good, the atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were exceptional. The service was fast enough to keep 3 young kids satisfied, but not so fast that you thought it was pre-prepared. Nothing really stood out about the food that made it amazing or extraordinary. It's exactly what you would expect, which is a good thing.

Uma das melhores experiências gastronómicas que tive. Para quem gosta da comida condimenta e picante não deve perder a oportunidade de passar por este restaurante. No horário de almoço tem serviço de menu que fica muito em conta. Comida indiana muito bem confecionada e saborosa, boa apresentação. O atendimento foi rápido e os funcionários foram muito simpáticos e prestáveis na explicação dos vários pratos servidos. Experiência a repetir na próxima visita a Portimão.

First time in Portugal. Eaten at some lovely Portuguese resturaunts. Hubby's birthday so he wanted an Indian meal. We live in France so don't get to eat at a good Indian restaurant!!! The restaurant was very close to our apartment, so we thought "why not". Well we were not disappointed. Delicious food, excellent service, excellent price, going again before we return to France. If you require spicy hot food just ask for more spice. We so enjoyed our meal. Thanks you.

Dîner à 4 personnes pour un anniversaire. Acceuil très bien sans attente. Les plats sont très copieux et exelent . Le service est a la hauteur, bien que la pâtisserie voisine soit fermé ils ont réussi à nous trouver un gâteau. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter

Apesar do bom atendimento, o garçom deveria saber se expressar em português, afinal estamos em Portugal e o lógico é a língua inglesa ser a segunda opção, e não a única. Adorei a comida, apesar da porção (dose) ser muito pequena e estar demasiado picante.

The food and service were both amazing. Rohit seemed very passionate about food! We ordered the lamb biryani, cheese naan and a shrimp curry and each dish was delicious.

I'd been here several times and recommended it to many friends, but my last visit in November 2019 I was very disappointed. Four of us went out for a meal, unfortunately i should have known we was in for a bad night when four starters could not be served together. There was a 15 minute delay between the first two (Onoin Bajiis) and the next two coming out (Sheekh Kebab) not good when you are dining as a four. I understand fresh food takes time but there was only some 10 people in the restaurant in total. When the second set of of sheekh Kebab arrived it was tasteless not spicy at all and when we was nearly finished these a slightly spicy marinade arrived not good really. The mains wasn't great well below the usual standard not the normal fresh ingredients, this also came out in dribs and drabs. I could go on but I think for me its better to vote with my feet. Never again.

I live in London, and if this was in London it would be an average curry house. But it’s not in London, it’s in a small town in Portugal, and it serves very decent Indian food, and the service is good, and it’s not expensive. So I gave it five stars for being above expectations. And of course like most Indian places it’s vegan friendly.

Came to approximately €60+ then they added tax on at a total of 33% bill came to approximately €93 the excuse was Portuguese tax is highest in Europe please be aware before ordering.
What a shame they have to do this if I'm wrong I apologise but I expect price shown includes taxes.
Never had such a expensive curry .

Delicious food for a very friendly price! We had the mixed starter and were amazed by the taste. After the starter we had a curry and the tandoori chicken. Both were very tasty as well.

Tasted a lot of Indian food in our time and this is the best I've ever had in this price range. Asked for our spice preference and got it just right (hot, in this case). Terrific find, didn't expect something so good here in Portugal. Strongly recommend for Indian food lovers

Bloody excellent food. We haven't had spicy food since we left home as there doesnt seem to be much in Europe, so we were very thrilled to get really amazing Indian where they asked how spicy we wanted it. We said HOT. Beautiful food. Very happy.

Wauwwww ik zou voor dit restaurant hier naartoe verhuizen. Het is hier lekker, smaakvol, vers, schoon en ook manier van opdienen is super schattig. De bediening is super betrokken en onthouden alles wat je zegt. Ze weten precies hoe spicy alles moet zijn per individu en ook weten ze precies bij ons gezin wie wat lekker vindt door alleen even te testen en te kijken. Ik raak er maar niet over uitgepraat, het klopt allemaal. Keuzestress op het moment dat ik de kaart in mijn handen geschoven krijg, en aan het einde krijgen we ook nog zomaar een lekker ijsje van het huis. Als ik ze mee naar Nederland kon nemen had ik het gedaan.

Food is great. Service is great. Crowd is great.
Best thing is even if you come after 11 pm, you will not be refused, such is the great service.
If you don't like the food, they are open to constructive feedback and next order is exact to your liking.
This reactive and progressively proactive approach is signs of greatness and bodes well for future.
Special mention of the service by Rohit. He was attentive to our needs and product (i.e. dishes ordered) improved drastically and so did the ratings of this review. His immaculate service deserves special mention though everyone in the crew was efficient at service but special care/service by him went extra mile between a content customer and repeating customer.

I’ve tried and tested Indian food in asia, middle-east, europe and other random spots you name it and no where have ever been as goooood, fresh, heartwarming as this place. I do not care so much to bother and write a review, but this spot deserves a review and much more.
Awesome Staff - helpful, confident food critics and so so sweet
Food - I am speechless! Let the waiter recommend for you a couple of must trys and do not miss out on their daily menu for only 8 euros ( food was enough for me and my partner)

Me and my wife got a very bad food poisoning after a dinner here. Maybe a bad luck, but we'd never visit again. Waiters were friendly. Food not as tasty as in plenty other Indian restaurants we've eaten.

How nice to walk into a restaurant which has heating and serves it's food on hot plates. This restaurant is modern but comfortable with stylish decoration. The food was delicious and the staff is very caring and friendly. I can only recommend this restaurant and will visit again.

Although the food was nice it was not as we have had before from indian restaurants the chicken somosa wasnt filo but short crust pastry and filled with a dry crumbled chicken my chicken rogan josh was rather thin and watery but tasty however there was far too much tomato in it for me.
My partner left quite a lot of her korma and her chicken pakora were very different to what we were used to so they were left too. The place was clean and the prices not too bad for a tourist area.

Masala House was the most amazing restaurant in Portimao, Algarve. The ambiance was spectacular and unique. The restaurant was spotless and had a great vibe. You could tell the tourists and regulars
enjoyed the food and the service. Rohit and the staff went above n beyond to cater to our needs. The food was delicious and made to satisfy the needs of the customer, Mild to hot they were so accommodating. Masala house is a happening place, you could see the customers enjoyed the tasty food. The staff were so friendly and i will go back the next time i travel to Algarve. I recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling to Portimao. They will absolutely love it, as much as i did. THANK YOU Rohit Patel and staff, will never forget this experience.

Comida muy sabrosa y servicio fantástico.
A pesar de no conocer la cocina india y mucho menos los nombres de sus platos, el servicio asesora en todo momento trayendo los mejores platos personalizados a tu gusto.
El precio es asequible, muy recomendable en cuanto a calidad/precio.
Sin duda, la mejor opción en cuanto a gastronomía india de la ciudad.

Ótima localização com esplanada agradável para uma refeição lá fora. Vasto menu e excelente relação qualidade preço, a comida é fantástica. O menu do dia é bastante completo e vale a pena para um refeição rápida.

Desde la pespectiva de alguien nada trotado en esto de la comida india...un 10 en trato y otro en sabor y experiencia. Es básico el pan de las casa con y son queso. Bien de cantidad y de variedad. Hemos comidos 2 y el pequeño por nos 35€. Volveremos.

I didn't go to Portugal in search of fabulous Indian food, but I found it at Masala house!! I had the chicken sagwala which was full of flavour. The pickles were great, and the waiters couldn't do enough to make us all relax. Brilliant restaurant well worth a try!

On holiday from Scotland, visited Masala House after seeing it advertised and didn't regret it. Food was fantastic, and the staff could not be more helpful. Prices reasonable (especially at lunch time) and ended up visiting 3 times on a 7 day holiday. Definitely the place to go in Portimão for a curry.
