Meal was delicious & excellent service.If you love Indian food, give Masala House a visit.You will not be disappointed

The restaurant was within easy walking distance in the center of town. The staff was friendly and professional. The food was some of the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten. Try the chicken korma with cheese naan and mango cream for dessert. Reasonably priced and perfect portions. I’d go here again without hesitation.

It's not expensive but that was takeaway. Don't think I would pay to sit in but it's lovely inside. You don't get curry in Portugal like you do in UK so don't expect large portions

Fabulous food full of flavour staff excellent
nothing to much trouble .Both staff and restaurant scrupulously clean .Would really recommend if you like authentic Indian food you should pay a visit to Masala House Alvor .Great experience thank you guys

Heerlijk gegeten en een snelle, goede service! Het eten is vers gemaakt en van zeer goede kwaliteit. Veel keuze op het menu (vlees, vis en vega). Ze vragen of je het gerecht in mild, medium of spicy wilt. Een echte aanrader! We hebben met drie personen één starter op met dipsausjes en twee porties rijst/vlees. De gele rijst was erg lekker!

Excellent food, helpful friendly staff and great for kids as the restaurant has an indoor play area for them with plenty of toys. Definitely recommend.
Edit: had a takeaway too and the food was of an equally high standard.
Very highly recommended if you are in the area.

Fantastic authentic food served here at Masala house . From what we have eaten in Alvor , Masala house is by far the best Indian restaurant here . The service was excellent with the waiters answering any questions that we had . The inside decor could do with looking at but apart from that we will definitely be coming back .

Great food and excellent service. They will make your sauce to however you like it. Short walk from the main tourist area (near Intermarche supermarket). Well worth a visit.

Fantastic if you are visiting with younger children due to the well stocked play area - push along vehicles, a slide, playhouse and more. Makes for a relaxing meal.

Only so so previous reviews flattered food.Home made mango chutney was highlight but otherwise rather bland and uninspiring

We turned up on a cool evening in February! Ordering Chicken korma and Lamb Kadai along with mixed vegetables and garlic naan, we were served popadums and fabulous chutneys/raita! There was one hot chutney that had incorporated smoked hot paprika that was great. Vikram served us with charm and grace, and the other boys (it's OK, I'm over 70!) waited on us hand and foot. The Cobra beer was a good stand in for the ubiquitous Kingfisher, but it was as expensive as a bottle of Portuguese wine, watch out! The dishes were tasty and varied, with a side dish of a spicy sauce to help me get the warmth I wanted . Thank you for an unforgettable night out!

Miejsce niepozorne, z dała od turystycznego zgiełku. Bardzo dobre jedzenie, bez kompromisów. Każde z czterech dań, które zjedliśmy było doskonałe. Na dodatek miła obsługa, z klasą. Dzisiaj znów tam zjemy.

The free poppadoms were the lightest I have ever tasted. Food and service very good. A little expensive though always find eating at Indian restuarants to be so. Will most defiantly eat here on return visits to Alvor

Heerlijk eten! Veel keus uit verschillende gerechten en ieder apart geprijsd. (Niet zoals in Nederland de nasi/bami bij het gerecht hoort, zonder apart prijskaartje). Daardoor ben je wat duurder uit dan verwacht. Toetjes vallen tegen, eigenlijk te duur.

Good Indian curry but some of the service man very rude. My kids were playing and only touching their plastic curtains and he came rushing with eyes wide open, made kids scared and we were felt uninvited.

Very good quality food and excellent staff. No need to go up the town for a good meal. You can get it right here. Been there 4 times and consistently good.

Very delicate spicing for my veg dal. Loved it! Big menu with loads of choices. My wife's chicken was a bit dry but that may be due to the fact that we came at an awkward time (they also couldn't give us any naan because they apparently make that fresh in the oven).

Great indian restaurant, lots of different choices. The service is nice and efficient and the tables outside are couzy. The food is delicious and it is possible to choose the spiciness of each dish. The waiters are efficient and discrete. We will come back for sure!
