Very pretty surroundings as well as the accommodations. Very pleasant staff and very attentive. Out of the city so it was quiet and serene.

It is quiet, outside the city. Tina and staff have created an environment of care and comfort for their guests. Suggestions for sightseeing and meals are excellent. Unfortunately, we couldnt figure out the television, so missed the news.

The location was great with many restaurants a short drive away. The staff gave excellent recommendations. Beautiful property and rooms.

Wonderful stay at Quinta Verde Sintra! André is a great host! Property is beautiful with magnificent views of Sintra, a lush garden with swimming pool. Breakfast on the terrace facing Sintra Castle was delicious! Room was brand new renovated and very clean! Definitely recommend staying there whether you are planning to visit Sintra or as a last night before catching a flight back home!

The room and views of the mountains and Pena Palace were amazing. The staff was exceptionally helpful and kind. Would stay here again simply based on how wonderful and accommodating the staff was. I loved my room and furnishings and my rain shower! I also really enjoyed he sweet little kitty who made my morning by snuggling up with me by the pool...made for a very memorable stay!

My family absolutely loved Quinta Verda! This place is so clean and friendly! The view of the Sintra hills and castles is breathtaking. The owners are very helpful and make you fell like home. There was a family there 17th time in a row! It’s not surprising for me :)Clean rooms, zero damp smell, gorgeous pool! Strongly recommended if you want to rest away from noisy center

We had a wonderful stay at Quinta Verde. It was just outside Sintra with some great local restaurants around.Picturesque, well-kept grounds with views of Pena Palace in the distance. The pool was fabulous for cooling off in the midday heat. Breakfast was simple and delicious. Would absolutely stay again.

Spacious and green with extensive gardens, good for children to play in safety. Has a nice pool and. The rooms are authentic Portuguese.Staff are very helpful.

If you want modern this isn’t for you. If you want somewhere traditional and with character then this place is amazing. I loved it and was perfect for my first solo travel. The staff were also amazing.

Hotel hoster is a very friendly family. Very helpful in city sightseeing. The area is quiet out of downtown but just 10 min drive. The view is great can see the castle. Hope to be back again sometime in summer.

This is a nice place to stay. It is like a get away place from Lisbon. It used to be a monastery. The rooms are good. They have breakfast included. They have nice views.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would have done so. This is why: The first night, I arrived at 1 o'clock at the hotel which was obviously very late! Trying to check in, I later understood that the owner was sleeping and he had to come to the hotel for my check-in by car. And it happened so. This hotel is a wonderful place, with a beautiful view and amazing swimming pool. I don't have a child, otherwise I could enjoyed even more with all facilities provided for families. It's also ideal for a couple getaway. The kindness of the staff, specially Marcel, made my experience even more memorable. Thanks to them all.

Loved loved loved this place! Firstly, its every bit as lovely as the pics, maybe even nicer! This is out the way of the busy sintra centre but costs only 7€ from the train station in an uber and took about 12 minutes to reach it. Staff are fab, very helpful (helped us order pizza delivery to our room, for example ) there when you need them and only a watasp away. Everything was superbly clean and looked lovelt and new, garden and surrounding area was beautiful. We also thoroughly enjoyed breakfastwhich could be eaten out on the terrace if you wished. Im a picky eater and a vegetarian but there was plenty for me! Althought the guest house was busy (i think all rooms were full based on the number of guests at breakfast) as most people spend time out and about the tourist spots, we found there was only ever a couple of other people around the pool with us (and often there were none) which made it even more quiet and relaxing. We also loved the fact that after we checjed our at 11am on iur last day, we were able to still use the pool area until when ever we liked, and could even use the toilet and shower room bybthe pool befire we left about 6pm. Service was fantastic, house was beautiful and clean, breakfast was yummy and could have sat round the pool and taken in the view for hours. For us, a couple in our mid and our late 30s this was a highlight of our holiday, allowed us to fully relax as well as see the sights. I cant recommend enough!

Das Hotel liegt wunderschön. Die Terrasse mit dem Pool ist ein Traum und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Ins Zentrum von Sintra sind es nur wenige Kilometer, man kann von der Terasse aus sogar den Pena Palast sehen. Außerdem gibt es ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten. Das Personal war sehr nett und hat uns super viele Tipps gegeben, wann wir am besten welchen Palast besuchen sollten und wie wir dort hinkommen, sehr hilfreich.

This family owned and run hotel is a jewel! It is a large property with garden, lawn, pool and pond, all beautifully kept. Our room (well, two rooms incl. a kitchen, actually) was spacious, very clean and comfortable, with a balcony to enjoy a fabulous view. The staff was very friendly and the owner, Tina, accommodated our every wishes. The breakfast is very good, too, and leaves nothing to be desired. Sitting by the pool we had a fantastic view to Sintra and the castles. The hotel a short drive from Sintra, and since the city is very busy with tourists, it was wonderful to come back to this quiet wonderful home. Plenty of parking was available and restaurants are nearby. All in all, we had a great time at Quinta Verde.

I really enjoyed our one day stay here wish we would have had more time to spend there. The owners are very nice people. It has nice views. We had to leave early so they made use sandwiches and had them ready for us before breakfast hours. Sintra is a beautiful area and it is easy short trip to Lisbon and other surrounding towns. There are good restaurants around town also. We drove to Lisbon airport and it did not take long at all using toll roads to cut down on traffic. I recommend it.

Peaceful place with wonderful staff. Incredible views of sintra. We had a spacious quiet room. Lovely shower (spa type of shower head) and tv with many English channels. Breakfast was okay for vegetarians (basic breads and pastry), nothing to get excited about but okay. Overall great stay and I would recommend. We spent one night during our sintra visit. Thanks to the lovely team there!

Lieu tres agréable pour son site et situation en retrait du centre historique. Pour familles avec enfants super sécurisé. Piscine grand jardin . Les chambres sont plutôt petites et salle de bain aussi mais l acceuil est très chaleureux.

Netjes verzorgde accommodatie. Prachtige tuin met zwembad. Kamers zijn iets gedateerd kunnen wel een upgrade gebruiken.

Fijne verblijfplaats dicht bij bezienswaardigheden rondom Sintra. Ontspannen sfeer, prettige ontvangst en rustige tuin en zwembad om te relaxen en prachtig uitzicht op Palacio de Pena als Castelo dos Mouros. Qua afstand prima om zowel Lisabon, Sintra als Cascais/Estoril te bezoeken.

We visited this B&B in early April, and IMHO everything turned out to be ideal -- the weather, the location, the room, the food, and the hosts. I have read Quinta Verde's reviews on Google and TripAdvisor prior to booking this place. I will comment on the neutral/negative reviews posted in order to make this review useful for others: - with GPS coordinates provided by the hosts before my arrival, I found the B&B quite easy to find with my TomTom/Google Maps; - its location outside Sintra is ideal for those with a car - a) Sintra is only 12 minutes ride away and it's relatively easy to park on the roadside if one is willing to walk 10-15 minutes, b) Lisbon is only 40 minutes drive - for those without a car, there are buses to Sintra's centre/train station and trains from there. I haven't explored this way of getting around but have noted quite a few buses around -- probably best to align your travel to the posted schedules to avoid hanging around bus stops needlessly - breakfasts at B&B were fresh and delicious - the gardens, the pool area and the ambience were beyond reproach -- one can easily spend two days at the poolside doing nothing -- it's quiet and relaxing, with the unbeatable views toward the Pena Palace - our two-room suite/apartment with mini-kitchen was spotlessly clean (and daily cleaned) and cosy/comfortable. everything seemed new - we had our own WiFi inside the suite and another WiFi point by the poolside. there was no issues with the speed/latency even though we had several devices connected at all times -- ** way-way** better than our recent experiences in French countryside - the hosts (mostly Tina when we were there) were kind and very helpful in suggesting the trips/nearby restaurants and generally very accommodating. In summary, a superb experience at an unbeatable price!

Lovely chilled out little B&B with charming owner and gorgeous pool and views. Highly recommend! I booked through airbnb which made it super easy. The owners son kindly organised airport transfer for me, which made getting there from Lisbon very easy. They also booked a very nice massage on my first evening, which was the perfect way to start my visit. Delicious breakfasts on the pool terrace, light meals and snacks if you want them, parking if you are coming by car and lots of grounds to explore with kids. The only complaint was that Wi-Fi didn't work in room but that made me relax more! Wi-Fi by the pool works very well however!

Overall a great experience. We were given a beautiful suite even though we booked a room. The owner, Tina, is very accommodating to her guests. Breakfast is served in a glass enclosed room overlooking the palaces of Sintra. Great place to land if youre planning on staying for a couple of days. A warning, it could be very tricky to find it as the GPS doesnt work there. We got lost and were very fortunate to have a very nice local person guide us to the gate late at night.

The hotel is in perfect surrounding - slightly outside residential area and surrounded by trees, so one can easily relax there. However, a car is a must since the downtown of Sintra is several kilometers away (and the seaside even further).The staff was very helpful - we were warmly welcomed and quickly let into the room. Furthermore, we got advices regarding dinner (although chose another place so couldnt check if the advice was good...) and sightseeing. Seems that the hotel is kinda family business so there are no pompous ceremonies or fancy interiors which sometimes dont let you forget that you stay in a public place. We found one problem in the room - running water in the toilette but seems that the problem occurred after I pressed the flush button too much. The receptionist came and fixed the problem in several minutes.We really liked the breakfast. Since the hotel cant accommodate many people they dont have buffet in the morning. But the guests are served some good, home made food: scrambled eggs, fresh bread, cheese, cake, fruits, tea/coffee and tasty juice made of persimon (or kaki in some languages). Trying to understand what kind of fruit it was turned into nice discussion with other guests and one of the owners (who always come to ask if everything is fine).Sadly, the weather was too cold and windy for the pool...

Een rustig, kleinschalig onderkomen, met fantastische tuinen, een prachtig uitzicht vanuit de serre over Sinta. Mooi aangelegd zwembad, veel zitjes. Vriendelijke eigenaar en personeel. Prima onbijt (geen fratsen) en heel rustig. Ook geschikt voor kleine kinderen. We voelden ons direct heel welkom.
