Personnel agressif, chambres sales et désuètes, des fouines dans le plafond donc impossible de dormir sereinement, je déconseille fortement cet hôtel malgré son très bon emplacement.

There were bed bugs in the room I was staying. I woke up itchy and went down to the front desk to explain what had happened. The employee there said they couldn’t do anything and that the earliest the manager could come in was 8 o’clock. I wasn’t given a refund and was questioned for having brought in the bed bugs. Not a good experience at all.

Je vous le déconseille vivement, il est aussi cher, qu un autre de grande enseigne, l'accueil y est très désagréable, même froid, il donne envie de sortir de la. Il est sombre, froid, quelques pièces sont fermés, derrière un rideau au premier étage, Le carreaux so t cassés, derrière des portes, il y a quelques dépotoirs, un immense nuage de fumée blanche en ressort, avec u e odeur, comme si il y avait une la erie, un sauna, ça couvre l'espace. Dans les chambres, il faut une télécommande à la Tre ancienne époque pour mettre le chauffage en route. Une odeur de renfermë, il y fait très froid. Un réfrigérateur rouillé. Chauffage au dessus de la tête. C'est très moche..... Il fait peur.

Hotel bem Central, muito próximo da estação de São Bento. Os átrios dos vários andares são bonitos e com uma arquitectura e decoração com o charme de há uns décadas atrás. Pontos para o elevador que foi instalado posteriormente.
Quando ok, com o básico, a precisar de alguns melhoramentos mas bem limpo. O preço é em convidativo.

Ótimo hotel, principalmente no atendimento. Ótimo café da manhã. Só não gostei do banheiro, muito pequeno e também o sinal do wifi e muito fraco, quase não consegui acessar a Internet. Mas o hotel e muito bom. Gostei do atendimento da menina da recepção, muito simpática ela.

Hotel stary, położony w centrum miasta, świetna lokalizacja. Pokoje dość przestronne, ale widać, że czas zrobił swoje. Hotel ma swój klimat, jest na prawdę ciekawy, z duszą. Dostępna winda. Śniadania kontynentalne, tost, dżem, płatki, owoce, kawa, herbata, ser, szynka, woda, sok, mleko. Niestety, pieczywo nie zawsze świeże.

Inmejorable la localización del hotel, está cerca de Todo.
Tienen mucho que mejorar en relación al mobiliario, aire acondicionado, calefacción, baño.
Creo que el precio con el desayuno incluido es un lujazo.
Espero que inviertan en renovación y reformas para el establecimiento y las habitaciones.

This hotel is definitely an experience but not a very good one. But it wasn't horrible.
Location is awsome and the price is really cheap but the state of the room I stayed in was appalling. It was very cold, the curtains were moldy, and the sanitary conditions in the bathroom (shared) was ridiculous, something of a 19century standard. It was not dirty but the shower and the toilet look like they were there for a century already.
I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for a better room.
The hotel itself is very charming but it desperately needs some work done. I think with just some fresh paint on the walls, new curtains and a decent bathroom it would be a completely pleasant experience.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, I give them 5 stars.
The breakfast was ok.
All in all, I would go back if I was on a very tight budget and want to stay somewhere central but otherwise, no.
It's a shame because this hotel looked like it once had it's glory days, but that they are long over.

Apesar do quarto ser espaçoso ele não é nada confortável. Colchão velho e duro, cortina mofada e um cheiro péssimo. Além disso, o aquecedor soltou tanto pó quando liguei que fiquei com uma alergia terrível. Ducha escaldante ou gelada. Café da manhã ok. Staff da recepção grosseiro. Apenas a localização é boa. Não recomendo

Está dentro del rango acorde con su clasificación de dos estrellas, las habitaciones son mejorables en cuanto a pintura y mobiliario ya éste último es un poco antigüo, baño pequeño pero funcional, aire acondicionado sin funcionar, desayunos hay variedad, cereales, frutas, pan, croissants, jugos, etc, la ubicación es súper céntrica lo que permite buena movilidad por la ciudad y está justo al lado de la estación de trenes.

Já fui muitas vezes ao Porto , mas este ano no Mês de Julho 2018 fiquei no Hotel Peninsular , não porque me desse mal nos outros sítios , pelo contrário...O Hotel Peninsular apenas é mais perto da estação de São Bento em comparação a outros que tenho ficado.
Fiquei muito desiludida , pois foi-me recusado a subida do meu filho ao quarto juntamente comigo e com o meu marido ! Afinal as minhas idas ao Porto é por causa dele ...
Até concordo que não seja permitida a entrada de amigos ... mas filho !!!
Nunca aconteceu tal em outro lugar ! Enfim autentica decepção !

Don't go here. They are cheating you. We made a reservation, booked, p
aid, proved by credit card that we had paid, and they simply told us that they are fully booked. Worst of all they didn't pay back, after they told us that they will reimburse the money. We never received the money (60 euro) back. On top if this we had to find another hotel around midnight, and we must pay another hotel much more expensive. In the past, we came here often, most of the time the personal was friendly. Of course we spoke with one of the women at the frontdesk. She told us she feels ashamed for it. It is the management who lacks responsibility. So don't go here, although personal could friendly. You are at big risk paying for a room, without the possibility to sleep.

The building is slowly falling in ruins. You can feel it was a really nice place a long long time ago, and that is has been on the downfall ever since. Lightbulbs are no longer being replaced, pillows are apparently an option, spiders will have a reservation in the same room as you. Watching "The Shining" during your stay there can be a way to play the "seven differences" game and enlighten the mood.
Let's be honest, it's just as cheap as it is falling apart. And it's *really* cheap. The cleaning is OK and transportation is pretty convenient. So there's that.

Las críticas que lo comparan con una pocilga, están demás. En mi opinión es un hotel peculiar, con una ubicación privilegiada, limpio y con un buen desayuno. No es para nada lujoso pero si diferente. Yo sin duda volveré.

Hotel anticuado muy incomodo, no tienen aire acondicionado por lo menos en la habitación que reservé y pase la noche agobiado de calor. El Parking del hotel con horarios limitados de entrada y salida. Mi habitación estaba en la quinta planta y tenía muy mal acceso. Mucho ruido de las limpiadoras por la mañana y para colmo me hicieron pagar la tasa turística a pesar de estar exento yo y mi acompañante por una consulta médica. Lo único bueno es la situación. Mi valoración es muy mala y para no repetir.

La jeune femme qui nous a accueilli l'après midi était chaleureuse et très gentille, contrairement a celle qui est là le matin, qui est non seulement hautaine mais très désagréable (et je suis gentille)...
Par ailleurs, la chambre était vétuste, inconfortable, très mal insonorisée, prises électriques dangereuses, salle de bains inpraticable, moisissures sur le rideau de douche et j'en passe...

Este hotel es pesimo me dieron una habitación vieja que olía guardado y nos tocó espera 30 hora para que la limpien.unos armario viejo llenos de almohada y adredone no avia como colgar nada y una tele que ni siquiera servían de las antiguas y por ultimo solo avia un enchufe que está enchufado el metilador y no avia donde cargar un mobil y no marchamos de ahi y encima nos cobran 140 euros son unos ratas aa y los pasillo tienen muchas cosa viejas todo con tela de araña
pero parece que ven la cara para darte la habitacion como que si el dinero de uno no valiera espero que le sirva lo que nos cobraron
y no se merecen ninguna estrella

L'hôtel est bien situé. Près de la gare, du centre ville, des transports en communs et des sites touristiques. Cependant, la chambre est petite, le lit très étroit pour deux personnes. La chambre était plus ou moins propre mais l'odeur qui y régnait n'était pas au top. Mais nous n'y avons passé qu'une seule nuit avant notre retour à la maison. C'était donc pour une nuit de secours.
Nous avions une chambre où nous n'avions aucun bruit de l'extérieur, très calme la nuit, dans l'ensemble nous sommes satisfait.
Le personnel est super sympa, très poli et agréable. Le petit déjeuner était très bien à mon goût, simple, sans artifice mais tout ce qu'il faut pour commencer la journée.

Preiswert, Zimmer in die Jahre gekommen, superschönes Oberlicht und Glasbilder im Treppenhaus, sehr sauber, zentral, Frühstück einfach, aber reichlich. Frühstücksraum mit "altem" Mobiliar - stilsicher! Unser Zimmer hatte das Fenster in den Lichtschacht! Aussicht extrem begrenzt! Aber mit Jalousie! Jederzeit wieder!

Да, действительно, номера мало проветриваемые, но мы открыли окно, включили на ночь обогреватель, жили в декабре, было свежо и тепло. Некоторые номера без ванны, но самый цент, такси и аренды машины не надо, все достопремичательности рядом, персонал приятный, бельё меняют каждый день, завтрак минимальный, но вкусный, спасибо за внимание :)

Una amiga y yo pasamos allí el fin de semana pasado. Es cierto que la ubicación es inmejorable pero también conviene decir que es un hotel bastante antiguo y sin reformar. Las ventanas de nuestra habitación no cerraban bien, por lo que el aislamiento con el exterior era casi nulo. Pasamos mucho frío y la solución fue conectar un calefactor eléctrico (pequeño e insuficiente) y poner mantas en la cama. La verdad es que no puedo ni darle un suficiente.

Não gostei da limpeza, meu lençol estava sujo com uma coisa que parecia catarro ou sei lá o que, tirei até foto para ficar como prova. Falo daquele lençol branco e grosso de cobrir. O da minha irmã estava com cabelos, isso mostra que não foi lavado de um hóspede para outro. O café precisa melhorar.

Avantage premier de cet hôtel est sa situation géographique, proche des transports en communs(gare Sao Bento et diverses lignes de bus). Hôtel correct pour les espaces communs(réception, salle du petit-déjeuner...) en ce qui concerne les chambres, je ne peux juger que celles situées au 5ème étage. Elles sont vestutes, literie inconfortable. Ne parlons pas des toilettes et salles de bain (communes) elles doivent datées du siècle dernier. Rien à voir avec le standing de l hôtel. Pas de WiFi au 5ème.Le tout petit +prix intéressant (280€ pour 7 nuits)

Lo único bueno que tiene este hotel es la ubicación. Hotel antiguo y descuidado. Zonas comunes sin luz, calefacción de la habitación iba fatal, apenas había luz en la habitación más que dos lamparitas encima de las camas y en el baño había un azulejo roto pegado con celo. Nada recomendable.

Very convenient location only a couple of minutes walk from Sao Bento station. The room was simple, but clean and ok for the price. No a/c in my room. Quiet room at the back of the hotel, but rather dark, looking onto a big wall a few meters away. The corridors to my room were strangely dark. Generally the hotel looked rather tired.
Good pillow but I found the mattress very hard.
When I arrived the water in the the shower was brown. The very helpful receptionist thought it was due to a broken water pipe nearby. It was not so bad next day.
So.. OK for the price I paid, and very convenient, but not my hotel of choice in Porto.

Ligging is goed en het ontbijt is uitgebreid en lekker. Als je binnen komt in het hotel en door de hal(len) loopt ziet het er heel romantisch uit ( rode tapijten, leren zetels,...) Maar het hotel heeft kleine kamers met smalle bedjes, de toiletten en badkamer zijn niet zo hygiënisch. Er is geen airco op de kamer en als je het raam wil open zetten ruik je de geur van de hamburgers want je slaapt boven de McDonald's. Als je geluk hebt, heb je uitzicht op de plein maar in het andere geval kijk je op een kraakpanden met kapotte ruiten ( zie foto's)
Ik hoop dat ik je heb kunnen helpen met mijn recensie en veel plezier in het mooie Porto.

The hotel is good location. However, the staff attitude is abit poor. They have "upgraded'' our room from triple to deluxe double because we just 2 girls travelling. We don't mind to get double but at least tell us before we check in that they sold out the room but.. We ask if they possible reduce the price to the deluxe room rate but they say no as they are the same price. If you staying just for 1 night and need a good location, then yes, this is the right place for you. However just to be careful and ask clearly when you check in.

Super emplacement mais le 5eme étage est vraiment glauque (soit WC collectif et mouettes toute la nuit) ou (douche WC sans fenêtre avec forte odeur persistente et humidité). Avec une petite arnaque au prix de la navette aéroport en prime lorsque nous n'avions plus le choix, ça fait tjrs plaisir. A éviter mais bien placé.

great location but everything else is bad - dirty sheets, old and dirty furniture, bad wifi... Strange smell throughout the whole hotel that will get inside your nose, inside your hair, inside your clothes and will follow you around everywhere. Book only if you can get it cheap for a maximum of 2 nights because it has good location.

Cosas muy buenas y cosas muy malas. Lo mejor, la localización del hotel es perfecta y el personal también. Lo peor es que el hotel se cae a trozos, es muy viejo y por lo tanto las camas son incómodas, las puertas crujen mucho, los grifos y ducha funcionan bastante mal, las ventanas no se abren etc.
Fuimos a ver la quinta planta por la curiosidad que nos generó alguna reseña y efectivamente es como entrar en la casa del terror xD

A única coisa boa do hotel é sua localização. Hotel velho e me senti num museu com os móveis do século passado. No banheiro a banheira/ box era super escorregadia podendo causar acidentes graves. Por ocasião da reserva nos foi informado da disponibilidade de estacionamento perto por 7,50 euros por dia, mas na hora nos foi dito que não tinha este contrato e tivemos que usar o estacionamento perto por 17 euros por dia. Estacionamento é imprescindível nesta cidade.
Não recomendo este hotel.

THEY TREATED GUESTS POORLY AND RUDE.
They charged us 25 Eur without explaining it clearly , and when we refused to pay they locked the door, forcing us to stay. It made us feel threatened and unsafe. We couldn’t fix it until we called the police. There are so many hostels around here.
We really should choose some other ones.

5ter Stock ist eine Zumutung. Teilweise gesperrt, Schäden wurden nie Repariert. Kein Licht am Gang, fehlende Abdeckungen für die Lichtschalter. Im Zimmer war eine vermülllte, stinkende Kammer. Auf nachfrage beim Personal ob sich das mal jemand anschauen kommen möchte wurde dies auch verneint.

Muy buena la atención...el personal de servicio excelente....la única crítica constructiva es la chica de la recepción, es una chica de cabello negro largo, no sé cómo se llama. Está en la mañana. No me gustaron algunas actitudes y formas de contestar ..... nosotros siempre nos dirigimos bien al hablar con ella....pero ella tenía contestaciones no adecuadas para turistas y menos turistas que no entienden bien el portugués. No deseamos que la despidan ni la sancionen pero sí que le hablen , pues no son maneras de tratar a las personas, que le están pagando su sueldo. Todo lo demás excelente, destaco la calidez del personal de servicio y limpieza del 2do piso. Sumamente amables, cariñosas, dispuestas y estaban a disposición si precisaba algo, porque mi esposo estaba enfermo y fue la Dra Elisa Carvalho a verlo a la habitación. También agradezco la delicadeza y excelente trato de la chica que está en recepción a primera hora de la mañana , antes de que entre la recepcionista de pelo negro. Es rubia y muy bonita y nos trató con gran delicadeza , atención y GRATITUD. José Daniel Ferrari y Pilar Cormenzana. Habitación 207. Nos alojamos el día 5 y 6 de junio. Partimos el día 7 a las 7 de la mañana. Muchas gracias por atender y contestar nuestra crítica constructiva.

Very basic across the board! Rooms are empty with one desk, two beds and one picture. The place looks like it is falling apart and very out dated. However, we have been to Tangier and this is a 4-star in comparison. We came to town not knowing it was during their national car race through the streets. The staff was no help with information and did not inform us that due to the hotel being on the race route, we would not be able to get back into the hotel until late that night. Fortunately, porto has a lot to offer and we kept busy for hours. The other part was parking. You can use their garage about a kilometer away, but don't ask them how to get there, they will just get mad and tell you they don't know because they don't drive. Breakfast is included and is ok, but basic. The only warm items are the coffee and the toast. And do not try and take anything to your room such as an apple or you will be charged!!! The one cool thing was the window in our room opened to the street and had we have been able to get in, we would have had great seats lol. Avoid if possible, but if not, bring your attitude because you will need it.

Старый отель, номера довольно неуютные. Например, в моем не было ни столоюа, ни стула, зато наличествовало биде...
Очень холодно зимой, несмотря на обогреватель. И, если вас поселят на 5 этаже, об интернете можете даже не мечтать - пусть даже вы за него заплатили при бронировании.
Завтраки довольно неплохие по португальским меркам. Но главный плюс - отличное расположение, практически самый центр в 50 тетах от Сау Бенту.

Hotel muy antiguo con corredores con hermoso azulejado, muy bien ubicado, cerca de la estación de Porto. Me resultó muy frío, el baño no tiene calefacción. Las instalaciones no son de lo mejor. El ropero tenía un olor a humedad que lo hacia imposible de usarlo. El desayuno es bueno pero la atención humana es de muy mala calidad. Empleados desmotivados, entre ellos no circula bien la información
Llamé un médico, no lo dejaron subir, tuve que volver a pedirlo y esperar otras 3 horas. Un desastre! No lo recomiendo en absoluto. Fue una mala experiencia!

O hotel tem uma localização privilegiada, perto do mercado, estação de trem, cais da. Ribeira, ponte Dom Luís. É servido um bom café da manhã, a edificação é antiga e bem bonita, tanto nas escadarias e hall dos corredores, bem como no belo vitral de azulejos azuis portugueses característicos. Wi-Fi e a recepcionista foi bem gentil e indicou bons lugares de comidas típicas da cidade. Fiz minha reserva pelo booking e não tive problemas...

Une prise cassée la serrure est montée à l’envers le wifi ne marche pas au 5 eme étage donc pas de wifi dans ma chambre.pas de salle de bain dans la chambre ni de wc heureusement qu il y a du courant on se croierai au moyen âge j oubliai l’eau chaude faux compter au moins 10 mn pour en avoir ils éteignent toutes les lumières de l’hôtel pour faire des économies... isolation phonique inexistante le seul avantage de l’hôtel c’est plein centre c’est tout !!!

Very dated hotel despite being a beautiful building really full of character. Feels like a trip to the 50s walking through the hotel corridors.
I had a room on the top floor that felt like a very run down luxury suite with 4 beds, very spacious and with a terrace lounge right outside the room.
Must have been grand in the past but needing some work.
Breakfast is very good and lady serving it is very nice and helpful.
The reception staff are not particularly customer service oriented but get the job done.

Kicsit régimódi hotel. Nekünk 1 éjszakára még elment. Fürdőszobában, és a szobában tisztaság volt. Nagyon jó az elhelyezkedése közel van a portói katedrális és a belváros ahol rengeteg kajálda van. A reggeli feljavította az osztályzatomat! Bőséges és finom volt. Wifi jól működött.

Really bad service with Reception staff. I had emailed them to make sure I had wifi in my room (I needed it for work) & they said I did. When I checked in I was told I didn't. There 'solution' was that I pay more money to be moved to a new room or go sit in a lounge room 4 floors down. I was not happy with the service I got & they didn't seem to care. It was always 'someone else's' mistake. Breakfast was included in price which was good value & room cleaning staff were very nice & friendly. Shame about Reception staff. I would not recommend this place.

Does what it says on the tin. Don't expect the Ritz, because you aren't paying for it. Rooms were small. Bathroom was cramped and pretty disgusting.
But the location was great and the decor was interesting. The staff helpful and friendly.

Peut être un peu bruyant.si vous êtes en voiture compter 15 euros de stationnement (24h) dans un proche parking souterrain.

A very top located hotel to reach by both metro and train easily. You can view the hotel as soon as you leave the Sao Bento metro station. The lateral entrance of Sao Bento train station is just across the hotel as well. You can even leave your room and catch the train departing to Braga in ten minutes. Porto is quite a hilly city, therefore an accommodation next to public transportation stations is priceless. Nevertheles, almost everything of touristic importance is within walking distance to Hotel Peninsular. You can even reach the scenic Luis 1 Bridge and the Villa Nova de Gaia bank of the Douro River with a short downward walk. As for the hotel, it is a bit old and somewhat gloomy, but elegantly decorated. Our room was spacious and comfortable with air conditioner, TV set, mini bar and a safe. It was a pleasant surprise to find both a jacuzzi tub and a shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was good enough and was served in a classy hall. I certainly recommend Hotel Peninsular. As a last note, if you'll reach from the airport by metro, be sure to purchase an Andante Card and charge it with a title of Z4 trip ticket and make a switch to D (yellow) line at Trindade.

Alte, abgewohnte Zimmer - einiges kaputt. Keine Klima, Ausblick auf den Innenhof mit Vogelgeschreie. Aber für 20 Euro die Nacht: Person direkt in der Stadt ein Super Schnäppchen! Nicht mehr als 2 Nächte. Fairerweise muss man sagen, dass das Personal sehr sehr freundlich ist. Alles soweit wie möglich super sauber! Darum und für die Lage 3 Sterne. Sonst wäre ich gleich ausgezogen. Ein Teil des Hotels dürfte renoviert worden sein. Schöne Zimmer - unbedingt danach fragen!

La posizione è strategica: centrale e vicina a tutto (stazione in particolare). È una bella zona quindi per tornare la sera tardi non ci sono problemi. Le camere essenziali per un 2 stelle anche fin troppo spaziose (certo non è un 4 stelle ma spendendo 46€ in due per una notte si sa a cosa si va incontro). La colazione è essenziale ma si trovano panini per prosciutto e formaggio, croissant e marmellate fatte da loro, oltre a succhi di frutta vari. Lo consiglio solo per chi non vuole spendere tanto e per passarci al massimo una notte o due.

Hotel pequeno mas muito acolhedor. O staff é muito simpático. Deveriam de melhorar um pouco os quartos pois são antiquados, bem como ter a possibilidade de almoçar e jantar no hotel. Muito bem localizado, perto de estação de comboios, metro e autocarro, além de que é na baixa e tudo é perto. Recomendo e na próxima visita se tiverem vagas ficarei aqui de novo.
Small hotel but very welcoming. The staff is very friendly. They should improve the rooms a bit because they are old fashioned, as well as being able to have lunch and dinner at the hotel. Very well located, close to train station, metro and bus, plus it is downtown and everything is close. I recommend it and on the next visit if they have vacancies I will stay here again.

Yes the whole layout of the hotel building may appear dated but this adds to the charm and after spending time in a sterile modular modern style Ibis Hotel it made me feel a little bit more humane for the 4 day stay. Excellently located, great staff and kept clean at all times.

Hatten 7 Nächte gebucht, sind nach 2 Nächten ausgezogen. Lage ist super, Frühstück war auch o.k. aber unser Zimmer war eine Zumutung. Sehr renovierungsbedürftig!! Waren selber Schuld, wir hatten ein Billigangebot gebucht. Für wenig Geld gibt's auch nocht mehr.

hola, yo he reservadouna habitacion dobleen este hotel para entrar desde el dia 2 hasta el 4 de abril, luego he resrvado una habitacion mas de una persona unica por 64 euros para las mismas fechas, pero al saber que esta no tiene ventanas, la anule y contrate otra doble, y, sorpresa me mandan un cargo de 32 euros, cuando en las condiciones de la reserva pone que la anulacion hasta el 30 de marzo es 0 euros y hoy estamos a 24 de febrero¿OJO, CUIDADO?
