The location was fabulous, with a lovely walk over the bridge to the city of porto. All the staff were lovely people they could not have been more helpful, and made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. 엘레베이터가 없어 직원이 도와주셨습니다. 친절한 직원과 깔끔한 숙소로 별 2개 드리고요. 세안대가 높고, 좁아 불편했습니다. 화장실 안 거울도 높고 멀어 실용성이 떨어집니다. 바로 앞 건물과 마주보고 사이가 가까워 커튼을 칠 수 밖에 없습니다. 샤워기 거는 부분이 없어 불편해요. 현관 출입문 열고 닫는데 소리가 매우 크고 누가 들어오고 나가고 밤새 들립니다. 계단 걷는 소리도 방 바로 옆이라 매우 시끄럽습니다. 키 열쇠라 불편합니다.

El alojamiento tiene una ubicacion excelente en este lado de gaia, no esta en Oporto. Por tanto, si se quiere ver y vivir la noche de oporto, toca subir y bajar escaleras...Por lo demas todo perfecto salvo un baño con cristalera que no da intimidad.

Great location, and very helpful staff. Everything was great with the exception of noise from the lobby to the first floor. Suggest staying on floors 2-4 if you are a late sleeper.

Bem localizada mas apenas isso. Nos quartos, a zona de WC está separada da zona de dormir por um vidro e sem porta! Sem privacidade para quem partilha um quarto. Para mim este aspecto tira dignidade a quem fica alojado. Há aspectos da intimidade de cada um que não são para ser partilhados! Parece-me que os turistas estão a ser tratados como mercadoria. Além disso, a ausência de separação entre quarto e WC faz com que maus cheios permaneçam na zona de dormir! E quem chegar mais tarde arrisca-se a ficar na rua e a ter o dinheiro descontado no cartão de crédito!

Bem localizado mas o quarto tem uma particularidade ridícula, a parede de casa de banho é em vidro. Toda a noite a ouvir um alarme na recepção.

Convenient location close to tourist sites. But was a nightmare to find when arriving by car with a maze of tiny one way streets! Staff welcoming on arrival but generally were not around property during the day. Room comfortable if a little small.

Great apartment. Loved our stay - gorgeous room and bathroom and everything felt clean. We had a private outdoor terrace too. Nice location, right by the water and the nearby port cellars. Would definitely come back!

Staff super friendly, very helpful and accommodating; even for the guests with language barriers - reception was amazingly helpful and offered valuable guidance (the guy in the reception that was on 31st of March; he was incredible); we are very thankful!

Avions réservé 1 Mois avant notre séjour pour 3 jours, sommes arrivés de Lyon à 21h, hôtel fermé et notre réservation avait été annulée. La grosse galère dans une ville inconnue, sous la pluie en pleine nuit.

Belle chambre, très proche des caves à pied. Propre, eau, café et thé gratuit. Salle de bain ouverte sur la chambre et vitre transparente. Aucune intimité lorsque quelqu'un veut aller au toilette.

We were in the Eiffel room, there were ants on the bathroom vanity, floor, and even in the BED. Disgusting! There was no manager at the hotel, so we called early the next morning and asked that he come immediately to correct the situation. He said he could not possibly be there until10:00. We left for our tour at 9:00 and asked for a new room with no ants. They did give us a different room, but up 60 steps with no elevator. I am 76 years old, but no way was I going to share my bed with ants a second night! SKIP this hotel!

This is a nice hotel with comfortable rooms that are very modern. The hotel is located in a great area. It is next to wine shop and restaurant (same owners) that are great value for your money. Just steps from the river. Great overall hotel.

Estuvimos dos días. Las habitaciones son muy estrechas. Nos dijeron q al cerrar ventanas no se escuchaba absolutamente nada. No solo no era verdad , sino q las puertas de la habitación no llegan al suelo quedando un hueco por el q se escucha cada vez q suben o bajan por lo que son muy ruidosas las habitaciones. No tienen ascensor. Tampoco había nadie en la resección durante gran parte del día. Mí opinión es q no dan un buen servicio.

This hotel is in the perfect spot for exploring Porto. If you want to do port tasting you are at the right location as well as all the food you can muster.

Absolutely no complaints for this place. Excellent location right across the river (the bridge is easily walkable), next to cafes and restaurants right on the water. the place itself was extremely nice, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was very helpful with our late check-in and made us feel well taken care of even before we arrived. I wouldnt stay anywhere else in Porto! Highly recommended

Location is good and Porto makes up for a lot in this case. Our hotel-room was small but missed a lot of simple things (hangers for jackets, space to place luggage, etc). Most annoying however was the open toilet. How this hotel can have good ratings is a mystery to me.

This charming hotel only lacks an elevator. The staff was fantastic, very helpful throughout our stay. Beautiful renovation, and our penthouse views were great from our tiny terrace. The beds were very comfortable, and again, staff, especially Carla, welcoming and helpful. We will stay again!

Man ist nur wenige Schritte vom Douro und damit vom Zentrum entfernt. es gibt rundherum was zu erleben .wir kommen gerne zurück

This is a good guesthouse, however I had a couple of issues with it I'd like to constructively bring up. 1. The toilets are seperated from the main bedroom by glass, not by a wall. This wasn't a massive issue for me, but it may put some people off. 2. "Courtyard View" means view of the parking lot behind the building. This has its upsides though, it is nearly always deserted and very quiet, and you can see the tops of the larger port houses, but very little else. 3. The biggest gripe I had - there is one central staircase, and the staircase is made of concrete, wood and glass. There is NO way of muffling the sound people make, from our room (on the 2nd floor) you could hear if people were in the reception. I think the rooms need better soundproofing, especially the doors, which are large and heavy but have gaps underneath and around them, and other guests tend to slam them. When guests are walking up the stairs chatting normally, the noise level was such it felt like they were in your room because the concrete and wood of the staircase reflected nearly all the sound upwards. Otherwise, the upsides - 1. You are in a great location for port tasting, Vila Nova de Gaia is a little more chilled out than Porto itself and has good restaurants, the vast majority of the port houses, and very friendly people. You can ride the cable car up and return for 9 euros and walk across the top of the bridge to the main historical area, or walk across the bottom stretch of the bridge to reach the biggest concentration of restaurants and shops. 2. The staff - when they were around, which sadly was not often - were fantastic and really friendly. When we checked in we got a free glass of port and some good tips on the surrounding area. Another member of staff was kind enough to look after our suitcases personally on the last day. Really great staff, if only they could be there all the time! 3. The rooms themselves are cleaned daily and are very bright and done in good taste, with all mod cons and I particularly liked our room's tiled shower.

Bonjour , Pour une chambre dhôte avec 7 chambres je regrette de ne jamais avoir rencontré le personnel ... Jai reçu par tel en arrivant à 19H un code pour accéder à notre chambre puis plus aucun contact. Personne au desk . Le petit déjeuner avait lieu dans un salon de thé à 20 m de lhôtel ( pas précisé dans le descriptif) .La configuration de la chambre avec séparation vitrée avec le wc et la douche nest pas très intimiste . Mais permet de faire ses besoins en regardant la télé ... Chambre très petite ..

In 2015 top revoviertes Haus, mit je 2 Zimmern pro Etage, Kühlschrank mit Wasser, TV und Balkon, modernes Bad hinter Glas und grosser Dusche, auf der Seite der Portwein Hersteller und damit sehr ruhig gelegen. Frühstück und Ausgehmöglichkeiten direkt gegenüber des Hauses, nette Begrüßung mit einem Glas Portwein und viele gute Empfehlungen für diese wundervollen Stadt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, Gruß aus Düsseldorf

le premier regard est : une chambre très sympa, dans un lieu très jolie, un accueil charmant.....a 2 mn du fleuve.mais chambre pas isolé, on entend les gens qui rentrent qui montent lescalier ...... Dommage que les WC soit derrière une vitre, c bien pour regarder la télévision, on loupe rien... entretien de la chambre: verres sales pas changés, serviettes oubliées, bouteille d eau jamais remplacée dans le mini bar......manque de rangement.Literie très bonneHotel sympa pour un petit séjour

The room was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect - close to shops and restaurants and the gondola, and right across from the Porto riverside. I would warn travellers that there is no lift, the rooms arent very soundproof and the toilet is essentially in the same room as the beds. We would still stay there again though!

Ein sehr schönes kleines Guesthouse, auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite der Flussmündung von Porto. Es befindet sich im Zentrum der Portweinkeller. Parkmöglichkeiten befinden sich direkt hinter dem Hotel im Parkhaus für 9 Euro die Nacht. Morgens bekommt man im Kaffee gegenüber auch ein kleines Frühstück. Das Stadtzentrum von Porto ist zu Fuß in 20 - 25 erreichbar.

Charm Guest House is a sweet little hotel a stones throw from the Douro River and all the action of Porto. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable as well.There is no lift, so be ready to shlep your bags up to your room, and what a room it is. The rooms are cozy small for a couple, but stylish. The bathroom is a glass affair that seems to be a popular design in the hotels were encountering in Spain and Portugal. Your partner may wish to avert their eyes when you use the loo. It is THAT visible. Design quirks aside, the locale and price are right!

Room was nice but we had to walk up 6 flights of stairs to our room. Be prepared. Also, no one stays at the front desk full time to answer questions. Great view of Porto down the street.

Nous avons aimé la proximité du quai qui sanime le matin, la vue sur le vieux Porto et le pont Luis.Nous avons aimé flâné le soir au bord du Douro avec son voile de brume.Le quartier est agréable et finalement assez calme avec toutes les commodités pour se restaurer ou boire un verre.

Das Charm Guesthouse hat uns gut gefallen, es ist sehr modern und geschmackvoll hergerichtet. Unser Zimmer war etwas klein, für 2 Nächte kann man es aber aushalten. Achtung Toilette nur durch eine Glasscheibe vom Schlafzimmer getrennt. Das ist sicher ungewöhnlich . Wir hatten eine kleinen Balkon, der war allerdings mit Ausblick auf eine Mauer. Sicher sind die oberen Stockwerke mit schönerem Ausblick. Trotzdem empfehlen wir das Hotel weiter und kommen auch selbst sicher wieder.

Wir wurden in ein neues Apartment umquartiert. Es lag zentral zum Sao Bento und zu den Kais (ca. 700 m jeweils). Leider waren wir zum Sao Jao dort, so das in dieser Nacht vor 4.30 Uhr durch die sehr laute Musik (3 verschiedene Musikquellen nebeneinander in Diskolautstärke) an Schlaf nicht zu denken war. Entweder mitfeiern oder wahnsinnig werden :-). Da wir am nächsten Tag mit Schiff nach Pinhao wollten, war das ganze etwas anstrengend. Sollte man bei der Planung beachten. Das eigentliche Charm Guest House liegt in Gaia. An die neue Adresse, die wir genannt bekommen haben, stand erstmal gar nichts. Normal typisches Mehrparteien-Wohnhaus. Und wenig einladend. Weder ein Schild noch sonst was. Wir dachten wir sind an der falschen Adresse. Als wir versuchten im Guest House anzurufen ging der AB hin. So wandten wir uns an die Leute von dem kleinen Restaurant nebenan. Die waren sehr nett und halfen auch weiter. Wie sich herausstellte waren wir richtig und es kam dann auch jemand. Die Wohnung war im 2. Stock. Neurenoviert. Hübsch gemacht. Diana gab uns auch gute Infos und Tipps. Das Frühstück wurde zur vereinbarten Zeit vor die Tür geliefert. Sehr frisch und lecker. Nur der Kaffee war zu wenig. Sonst fehlte einfach ein Ansprechpartner. Z, B. Als das WLAN nicht richtig funktionierte. Da muss man dann immer übers fHandy jemand versuchen zu erreichen oder in Gaia vorbeigehen.

Wir haben einen Städtetrip nach Porto gemacht und im Charm Guest House übernachtet. Das Hotel liegt in Vila Nova de Gaia, auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite von Porto.Das Hotel ist sehr klein und schön, hat aber Schwächen. Hier war ein Designer am Werk. Allerdings wurde alles nur mit dem Auge gestaltet, nicht mit dem Kopf:-offene Dusche ist ja okay, aber ein offenes und sichtbares WC ist nicht jedermanns Sache. Wenn man mit Partner reist, muss dieser für den WC-Gang aus dem Zimmer geschickt werden.-Man kann sich nicht vernünftig das Gesicht waschen, weil der Hahn genau über das Design-Waschbecken ragt und sich nicht bewegen lässt.-die Plätze am Frühstückstisch - der sich direkt an der Rezeption befindet - sind mit Liebe dekoriert, es steht eine niedliche Kuchenglocke mit Gebäck bereit. Leider beschränkt sich das Frühstück allerdings auf Brötchen und Croissants, dazu ein landestypisches Süßgebäck und als Belag je ein Töpfchen Marmelade, Butter und Honig. Keine Wurst, kein Käse. Dafür gibt es noch ein kleies Glas Obstsalat dazu.Positiv:Die Lage ist top, man ist in kürzester Zeit mitten in Porto. Und wenn man abends nicht in der lauten Ribeira abhängen möchte, der Blick von der anderen Seite des Douro ist mindestens genauso schön.Und nicht zu vergessen, die erste Ladung der Zimmerbar ist gratis!
