We arrived without a reservation and were lucky to join a (very) small group tour. We even got to try olive oil straight from the cold press. The tasting was so much fun. So many wines, all very delicious, and great snacks to go with it. We talked and shared stories for a while, felt like we were just relaxing in someone's home. Highly recommend you visit here, but call ahead if you can. Also, I would try not to drive up from N222. It was EXTREMELY scary!

Eine wunderschöne und atemberaubende Umgebung. Die Führung war sehr persönlich und interessant. Das Tasting war umfangreich und ausgesprochen lecker. Wir haben auch in Porto Tastings und Touren gemacht, aber dieses Weingut ist bedeutend besser. Man sollte definitiv hier vorbeischauen.

A little, out of the way, family run winery, but has a very informative tour (that we didn’t even have a reservation for!). They have a very interesting wine tasting + food pairing. Worth a visit.

Lovely place. Lovely people and wonderful wine and port. The views from their deck are amazing. Rich history and lots of family pride show through during the tour and tasting. Well worth the trip. We purchased some olive oil and a bottle of their Grande Reserva blend. We are going to lay down the wine for a special occasion and enjoy the olive oil now.

Superbe visite personnalisée sur l'histoire du domaine et les procédés se fabrication du vin classique et du Porto. Dégustation possible à différents tarifs, et cela vaut le détour.

Tra le tante cantine visitate nella Valle del Douro abbiamo provato anche questa. Io e il mio ragazzo non abbiamo prenotato, ci siamo presentati all'ingresso ed abbiamo fatto un tour più degustazione "privato" poiché eravamo soli. Ci è stata illustrata la storia della casa vinicola, i tipi di vino prodotti ed il processo di produzione. La vista dalla terrazza è incantevole! Abbiamo fatto una degustazione dei loro vini e la durata totale è di circa un'ora, hanno un negozio dove è possibile acquistare ovviamente bottiglie. Personale preparato e molto gentile, ambiente famigliare e poco commerciale. Assolutamente consigliata la visita!

It is worth climbing the steep and narrow street from the river towards Parada do Bispo (the sign is pretty small!) to enjoy a Port tasting in this very old and traditional winery. You will have the chance to choose among different tastings with different wines. Prices for bottles are absolutely fair.

A wonderful vineyard and winery experience! We didn’t have a reservation and they were kind enough to accept us and include us in their final tour of the day. It was small, personal, and directly with one of the family members of the property who is involved in the wine making process. She was extremely knowledgeable and explained their family process of making wine/port dating back almost a century or so. They make both wine and port. Their red and white wine are good but I believe their port wine is where they really shine. The 10 year and 20 year ports were excellent. I didn’t get to taste the 30 year but purchased a bottle. I’ll add/revise my post once I try it. The drive up and down the mountain is beautiful and has many breathtaking views. You need to be very careful if you’re driving though, as the roads are are narrow and winding with many blind turns. Take it slow and pay attention and you’ll be fine. Well worth the drive though and an experience to remember and worth making!

Small, family-owned and family-run Port winery of the best kind. In the family for four generations. Very intimate tour and tasting, and the wines are wonderful. Because it is small, it is worth trying to call ahead to make sure they can accommodate you, although I was able to stop in unscheduled. Highly recommended.

Une halte sur la route du Porto qu'il ne faut en aucun cas louper ! L'accueil est très sympathique, les personnes de la famille vous accueillent avec chaleur et la visite est en très bon français ! Nous avons dégusté là d'excellents Porto ... et nous en avons ramené, bien sûr !!
