Wow, what a GREAT find this was! Honestly, the main reason we went was because the day was running long and this winery was open later. We were so lucky! Luis welcomed us and told us all about his family history, the land, the weather, the local culture, the renovations of the house, and how all this fits into how they make the wine and how the small producers fit into and influence the industry. Luis clearly knows a lot about the science and the art of winemaking. He loves what he does and it shows! Our time here made our day special - THANKS LUIS! We will return and next time we will stay in your Casa de Romezal too!

A visita às vinhas é um sonho. A vista é de cortar a respiração. Este país é lindo e é nas margens do a Douro que se vê o que temos de melhor. A visita é feita com guia áudio o que permite a cada pessoa faze-la ao seu próprio ritmo. No final há a maravilhosa prova de vinhos com o Luís! Ele consegue cativar e criar empatia, facilmente se ficam 2h ou mais entre vinhos e conversas os vinhos não pude provar (porque estou grávida), mas de acordo com a opinião do marido são a chave de ouro para terminar a visita. Parabéns pela maravilhosa experiência que proporcionam aos vossos visitantes .

Bei der Erkundung des Douro-Tales stießen wir mehr oder weniger zufällig auf dieses Kleinod. Die Gastgeber Margarida, Rafa und Luís empfangen Gäste sehr herzlich. Während Margarida und Rafa im Gästehaus für den bestmöglichen Komfort sorgen, kümmert sich Luis um den kleinen Weinbetrieb. Da wir im bezaubernden „Casa do Romezal“ übernachtet haben, durften wir eine kostenlose Weinverkostung genießen. Vorher ging es mit dem Audioguide durch den Weinberg, dabei konnte auch von den reifen Trauben genascht werden. Von der nachfolgenden Weinprobe sind mir vor allem die Portweine im Gedächtnis geblieben, aber auch die anderen Weine können überzeugen. Auf jeden Fall ist ein Ausflug in die „Casa do Romezal“ dringend empfehlenswert, am besten verbunden mit (mindestens) einer Übernachtung! Danke an Margarida, Rafa und Luís für einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt!

Wir waren im Mai auf dem Weingut. Es war einfach wunderbar. Die Tour durch die Weinberge war sehr interessant und entspannend. Die Weinprobe danach, einfach nur lecker. Leider waren wir nur einen Nachmittag dort, ich wäre gerne länger geblieben. Wir haben uns vorgenommen, beim nächsten Besuch das Gästehaus zu nutzen. Der Gastgeber Luis ist sehr sympathisch, versteht sein Handwerk und gibt einem sehr viele Infos über seine Arbeit. Ich denke das aus diesem kleinen aber feinen Weingut echt was großes werden kann .

The wine tour with Luís was amazing! He took a lot of time to teach us about the wines and ports, including the chemistry and history behind it. We had a really good time with him and he is very passionnate about it. the landscape is beautiful also. Thank you very much, we would recommend it to anyone

主人Luis是位藥師， 他為了守護祖產，回到充滿岩石的家鄉，繼承父親的事業，並且發揚光大。 Gueda wine 是以祖先命名的。 也因為這個原因， Luis整個人洋溢著熱情，幸福，快樂!!! 所以他們家出產的葡萄酒，同樣蘊含著熱情，幸福，快樂~ Douro河谷成為世界文化遺產。 Douro河谷的葡萄，生長在堅硬的岩石上，不可以澆水灌溉。早上雲霧會降到山谷之中， 形成雲海。靠著雲霧的濕氣，獲得生長的水份。 葡萄種植，嚴格控制維持一樹幹兩枝芽，因此完全靠人工修剪。 完全不同於世界各地其他葡萄酒產區。就這樣成就了Douro河谷的葡萄酒和波特酒~ 他們家出產的低溫冷榨橄欖油非常香!!! 極力推薦!!!!!!!!

Wir waren Gäste in der Casa do Romezal, dem hotel neben der winzerei. Der Wein dort war unfassbar lecker- sehr fruchtig! Die weintour hat Riesen Spaß gemacht, man hat super Ausblicke aus den weinbergen. Die anschließende Verkostung war das Highlight. Man merkt, dass Luis (der besitzer) mit Herz und Seele seinen Wein produziert und dass es ihm und seiner Schwester margarida sehr viel Freude macht das Weingut und das Hotel zu betreiben und die Gäste zu verwöhnen!

Amazing winery offering tasty, fruity and fresh wines. I highly recommend the tour through the vineyard and a wine tasting afterwards. You will learn about all the different wines they have to offer, and recognize that Port is not just an old people's drink.

In spring we visited the Douro area where the fruit trees were in full blossom. In the heart of the Douro we found this gem! We stayed for one night on this beautiful intimate wine estate. Where the rooms are beautifully decorated and a homemade breakfast is included in the room fee. Wine tasting and a vineyard tour (in several languages) is also included. It is an 20- to 30-minute walking tour and ends at Gueda Wines where you can taste their wines and ports. Especially their ports we can recommend! Don’t forget to taste their own brand of pure virgin olive oil. The staff is very dedicated and really goes the extra mile! We will be back!
