Food was delicious and all 5 of us loved everything. We ordered 2 garlic nana, 2 cheese naan, rice, vegetable curry, lamb butter, and aloo gobi and we enjoyed them thoroughly. They have multiple languages in the menu which made ordering easy. Highly recommend.

Leuke sfeer. Heerlijk vers eten. Heel veel keuze mogelijkheden. Geschikt voor vegetariërs. Geen vijf sterren door iets te harde muziek. Voor de rest een prima plekje om te eten.

My husband and I are Indian food fanatics and this restaurant made us very happy.
Good size menu without it being too overwhelming. Vege options. Everything was delicious. We asked for a mix of different spice levels (because we were with a group) and everything was good, though the spicy could have been spicier.
The cheese and garlic naans were very delicious and I especially loved the butter lamb.
Service was also very good.

We were in Lagos for the first time and once, once it was in life potentially and wanted to treat ourselves to some good Indian Food to go with our relaxing holiday in Algarve.
We stayed an hour away from Lagos so chose to take away food en route home.
After reading the wonderful reviews we went for this restaurant and chose two curries - Paneer Mutter Curry & Chicken Korma. Being from India and used to spicy food we did ask for the dish to be made spicy.
Both dishes made were incredibly spicy. This was serious spice that we had never eaten in our lives. After taking a single bite, our lips And throat was burning. As our resort was in a remote place and we had no other food option, we had to force ourselves to take a few more bites.
A good hour after taking those bites and drinking a full glass of milk, I am writing this review and whilst I scribe my throat and tummy is still burning from the effect of the food consumed.
Whilst the flavour of Chicken Korma was perfect, the spice killed it.
But, it was not just about spice. The Paneer Mutter curry smelt of old food, chewy tasteless Paneer with a full layer of oil floating on top. Enough oil to make another Curry, possibly two.
The Lagos Maharaja ruined an evening we had planned with candle lights and wine.

Service, and food were both exceptional. My wife is vegan and had plenty to choose from which was very nice for her. Highlight for me was the perfectly cooked and spiced tandoori chicken. Would highly recommend.

Alpagués par un un serveur insistant, nous nous sommes sentis obligés de nous asseoir. La nourriture était sans intérêt et le service désagréable. Le serveur a soufflé quand nous avons choisi la bière la moins chère... ! La pire des mauvaises surprises a été l'addition : quelques graines de riz facturé au prix fort alors que ce n'était pas précisé !!! Fuyez ce restaurant sauf si vous aimez vous faire arnaquer.

One of the worst Indian food I have ever eat, and I really love Indian food.... The naan is absolutely nothing, it is like a tasteless pita bread, not like usual Naan, the samosas where just ok, but full of oil and the rest was just ok. The waiters don't even speak in Portuguese and I understand that is a tourist place, but at least you should be able to speak in the local language. And they were looking annoyed because we didn't order a big meal (fortunately!!!)

Good food cooked with the spice you like, very tasty garlic naan - i would visit again. Losing 1 star as the staff weren't as friendly as others I have encountered and the place itself was a bit cramped.

Lagosin vanhankaupungin pienellä kävelykujalla oleva intialainen ravintola. Kyltin mukaan ravintolan nimi on Saffron, mutta tunnetaan myös nimellä Maharaja Tasty Indian.
Olen syönyt sadoissa intialaisissa ravintoloissa ympäri maailmaa, mutta tämän paikan Chicken Korma oli kyllä ylivoimaisesti parasta, mitä olen koskaan maistanut. Lamb Rogan Josh oli myös todella maukasta. Valkosipuli-naanleivät sopivan rapeita päältä ja todella herkullisia.
Ei alueen halvin, mutta hinta/laatusuhteeltaan loistava!

My husband and I were very pleased with our dinner at Saffron Indian Restaurant (Maharaja Tasty Indian on their business card) in Lagos on 11 Feb 2020. We received a friendly welcome from Raj, our waiter, who picked up on the fact that I was looking for a vegan option without me even asking for it. The food was delicious and well priced. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Super nettes Personal und das Essen überaus schmackhaft zum guten Preis. Wir wurden noch 3 Monate später vom Mitarbeiter erkannt, als wir wieder in Lagos waren. Immer wieder gerne...mein persönlicher Lieblingsinder an der Algarve.

Ein super leckere Essen. Freundliche Leute. Wer nach Lagos kommt darf das nicht verpassen. Wir sind seit zwei Wochen hier in Lagos und waren bei untunterschiedlichen Restaurant. Alle waren gut, aber Saffron hat alles getopt. Wir waren bis jetzt zwei mal da und werden min. Noch mal hingehen.

Slow service with the annoyance of upselling everything and anything even after saying “no thanks”. Butter chicken was mediocre and naan bread was crispy like pizza crust on one side. Disappointing especially after all the good reviews.

We dined here last night. We had poppadoms and pickles starter. Both had chicken dhansak (medium) and a side of potato and spinach, Peshwari naans and pilau rice. Suffice to say it is among the best Indian meals we have ever had. The dhansak sauce was rich and creamy and the chicken plentiful and tender. The waiters spoke excellent English and were very polite. The restaurant is small and cosy and clean. We cannot recommend it highly enough. Fabulous restaurant

There were empty seats in the restaurant but they literally forced us to the neighbor indian restaurant which had common staff with reason unknown to us. We were compromised on food with uncooked spices and had to leave the food half way. The staff did not even care that we didn't like the food. They made us wait for nearly 20mins for the bill even after asking them for it.

Omg... really, such amazing food, this restaurant is one of the best places we ate Indian food. The flavours are so damn good, we had vegie pakora and Tandori chicken for starter (big portions! ) and chicken tikka massala & chicken bhuna. We did not have to wait long and staff is very kind.

Amazing meal and impressive service. We were a group of five and ordered at least six different dishes. Some vegetarian and some meat. All were outstanding. They made us a homemade hot sauce that was really great as well.
We had all traveled through Portugal for about 10 days and can say that this was the best customer service we received on our whole trip. The staff was very warm and friendly and recommended a great local wine to pair with our meal.
You must try the tiger prawn curry. Delicious!!

Ein Lächeln begrüßt dich.Wer hier Gast ist, ist herzlich willkommen.Das mache auch die Arbeit schön, wenn alle zufrieden sind. Man fühlt sich nicht nur wohl, man isst auch sehr gut.In der Küche wird mit Herz und können gekocht; und das schmeckt man. Ein kleiner heißer Tip :Probiert das Karotten halwa...es ist köstlich . Any restaurant that charges €5 for 2 naan breads is out of their mind. The food is prepared in advance and is a far cry from real authentic Indian food. If you really crave Indian food and want a fantastic experience, take a 30 minute drive to Albufeira and go to Clay Oven. Make reservations because the restaurant is consistently busy. Enjoy the Algarves :)

We eat 3 times at this beautiful located Restaurant. Even we had Little Baby with us we felt all the time well. The staff was very friendly and nice. The male Service beg us for trust him......and we really can trust him about delicious Food. Thank you so much for delicious cooking for us. Our Baby miss female Service already. We found the food just medicore here! The Naan bread was too dense and is made with a different flour than normal it seems. We asked for mild and the dishes were awfully bland. The lamb biriyani was tomatoey, and the rice was better than the meat (lamb was quite dry). I ordered a paneer dish off the menu, shahi korma, more of a cream sauce with paneer and it was bland and pretty terrible!
