Perfect setting, great service, sophisticated menu from locally sourced ingredients, and wine/pprt pairings to match. Highlight of our Douro Valley trip so far. Now, off to the cellar door to buy a few cases!

Amazing!!! Fixed price menu including wine pairing and wine tasting before-hand at the wine shop for 40 EUR a person. Will come back before we leave the area. Food and wine heaven!

We had a lovely dinner here. Call in advance to reserve. It is a prix fixe dinner with wine pairings - everything was delicious, service was excellent, and they even made me a special vegetarian dish that wasn’t on the menu. Only complaint is that it wasn’t as filling as we would have wanted - we had to have a late-night snack later. If you have dinner here and save the receipt you can get the wine cellar tour and tasting on the same property for free. Highly recommended!!

Bei der Durchfahrt spontan in dieses Lokal eingekehrt. Der Besuch war super. Beim Eingang wurden wir freundlich empfangen und zum Tisch geführt. Die Aussicht ist traumhaft. Ein romantischer Ort. Zum Essen gehört die Möglichkeit, im Anschluss die dazugehörige Weinkellerei besichtigen zu gehen inklusive Degustation.

Excellent experience in Douro Valley, excellent wine, excellent service from the staff and also the Chef’s work is wonderful. At the end of our dinner, the Chef took some time to introduce himself and chat with us, which was unexpected and amazing. Wonderful experience at a reasonable price. Recommend 1000 times!

We took the 6 course menu for 55€ per person and it comes with 6 of their wines. The mains - both fish and pork cheeks - were truly delicious and their muscatel 2007 is a great dessert wine. Lots of little details in the meal. Also all of the waiting staff was super nice.

The Douro Valley is quite an amazing place. The plates and service atQuinta do Portal provide a great experience. Very highly recommended to all who visit Porto.

Excellente cuisine et menu à 45 euros avec 1 verre pour chaque plat très bon mais pour les enfants qui mangent la même chose sans le vin ce n'est que 5 euros de moins ! Sinon menu enfant à 20 euros possible.

After driving through Douro Valle we by chance turned into this excellent restaurant! Wonderful food, view, service - everything to top off a perfect day! Just like the beautiful drive - often something amazing at each turn!
