I just love this shop. They have a very well chosen collection of clothing and surfgear - diffrent to the usual stuff you find in most other surfshop. They have heaps of rental equipment such as skatboards for the skate park just in front of the door, lots of good quality surfboards to try, good (!) bikes, wetsuits etc.
What I like the most though is the lovely staff!!!

Excellent surf shop and place to rent gear. Super friendly staff with the good knowledge of local spots and current conditions. They pay attention to your needs and will hire you the best equipment to make the most out of your surf :-) surf report and advice always available. Highly recommend.

Awesome place right in the heart of Sagres by the skate park. Best selection of rental boards in town, I must have tried 20 different boards ... And the staff are great!

Great shop and the guys are mega helpful. There was a big spread of boards to choose from to rent, the guys were really flexible and we were able to try out lots of different types at a reasonable price throughout the week we were there. I would definitely hit this place up if you are in town or passing through.

Très bonne adresse pour louer du bon matos pour tous les niveaux, mais aussi pour trouver des marques alternatives assez cools. L'équipe du Shop est très sympa et peux vous renseigner sur tous les spots du coin.

I have used Algarve Surf Shop many times over the past few years for board hire and advice on where and when to surf in Sagres. Selection of boards is great from beginner to intermediate and even advanced. Pete who runs the shop is always super helpful and friendly. It's a good shop, good advice and great service.

Roger, Pete y Dave fueron estupendos y nos sentimos como en casa.
La tienda tiene buen material y aprendimos mucho en las clases.
La ubicación es perfecta con la playa a 10 minutos, un sk8park al lado también un bar/restaurante.
Nos quedamos con ganas de más.

La mejor tienda de la zona. Precios muy economicos y un trato realmente muy bueno con toda su informacion,
Desde el alquiler de material de surf y marca exclusivas como vazva. Ha 5 minutos de la playa para cojer unas olas.

I bought a used wetsuit in very good condition there and a used skate/longboard es well for a good price. Pete was also very helpful, answered all our questions about the area and the waves. He also told us nice spots to surf and to visit. It was great to meet Pete. My girlfriend and I completely recommend this shop!

Having never been there before, Pete was really helpful with tips and info on the breaks and with surfboard hire. One staff member even gave me a lift to a break outside of town. Definitely recommend.

I had an excellent experience renting boards from Algare Surf Shop in Sagres. Arrived over with no boards and got to try out 4 different styles and board setups, all quality boards. Sam was fantastic to deal with, really in depth knowledge of and the best places to surf with the best equipment. Excellent rates and will definitely rent here again ♂️

An awesome place to rent surf boards, skate boards and bikes. Really friendly and welcoming staff who will help you with local knowledge and give great advice on all you need to know for your trip to the Sagres area.
They also have a range of eco friendly clothing that is stylish and unique. I would highly recommend Algarve surf shop for all things surf :)

We rented boards and wetsuits after my friends wanted to keep up the learning momentum from their surf lesson. Really friendly, efficient service and great value for money.

I had a fun and exhilarating time learning to surf with these guys. The team and coach are so chilled, friendly and patient. The ocean is amazing to be embraced in even if you struggle to catch a wave. I look forward to more surf / ocean magic here in the future ✨

Great place, I came like 2 years ago to check it out and since then everytime that I come to Sagres I always go there, great staff and excellent rental material, if you're looking to rent proper surfboards that's the place :)

Super helpful staff on current and local conditions. Hard top boards of all sizes — even long boards. TIP: They open at 9am so pick up your board the night before if you want to surf dawn patrol.

Best surf shop in town! They have the best quality surfboards and the staff is amazing. They also have really cool clothes. Is located in front of the skatepark and one minute walking from the beach. 10/10

What makes a surfshop a good shop? Is it the wax that they sell everywhere? Or the brands they support? I think the most important is the atmosphere and vibe the shop and crew gives you. Here I just see Super nice guys, always give honest advise and really love and knowledge for the surf and everything that comes with it. One of the most personal approach I have experienced. keep up the good work guys, I know where I get my wax ;)

Great little shop with amazing prices! We rented some boards (including roof rack) for €20 for 24 hours, surfing three times, making it very reasonable. The staff were super friendly and had good suggestions of which beaches to go to at the different times of day. Would definitely use again next time we’re in Sagres area.
