A great little restaurant hidden in the back of Quinta Do Paraisa. Run by a group of great people serving very basic but very delicious homemade food. So amazingly cheap too. I will definitely return here when back in the area and would reccomend it to anyone!!

THIS PLACE IS MASSIVELY OVERRATED. However, it is very suitable for families with kids that just want simple food.
You looking to feed the kids Jamie Oliver versions of fish fingers that you wouldn't eat yourself? Go here. You looking to eat something speical? Stay the hell away. For parents having mixed feelings? There's no menu but the waiter will give you a choice of several options. Price was €24 euros for two at time of writing and wine or beer is included so its definitely cheap, but be warned sangria will add €8 to your bill at time of writing. Beer, white and red wine are included.

Restaurante regional, com comida Portuguesa, feveras, bife etc... Fica na casa dos 12€/pessoa. Baixei uma estrela pelo preço algo elevado para quem come feveras com batatas fritas, arroz. Não tem Multibanco. A foto é como vem servido o ice tea.

A patronising, budget eatery for the cheap canteen connoisseur. Basic edibles and a less than basic menu- mainly because there isn't one. Leave it up to the wandering and unhelpful staff to choose the food at vague and unspoken prices. Some days, fish is the order of the day-others chicken- and some days you are fed the Algarve equivalent of a school dinner-bland, uninspired and crude.
If rice, mayonnaise, chips and batter sounds like an appetising meal to you, seek counsel, but for those of you who came to the Portuguese Algarve to actually eat great food, stay far away from this overrated disappointment of a restaurant.

Lo bueno: menú del día a 9€ con ensalada, plato principal, postre, café y copa. Además la comida está sabrosa.
Lo malo: no tiene aire acondicionado (un problema en julio y agosto) y no tienen ni siquiera un papel con la descripción de los 3 platos del día por lo que se hace complicado entender la explicación que un camarero con mucha prisa te da en portugués.
Nosotros elegimos sin saber bien un plato con algo de carne de cerdo, algunas patatas y lechuga (eso ya se considera ensalada, con esa opción no ponían ensalada a parte) en vez de la mucho mejor opción de pollo con arroz, patatas y además ensalada mixta a parte. Sinceramente se nos quedó cara de tontos. Creo que son detalles que cuestan muy poco y ayudan mucho, sobre todo a los muchos viajeros que pasamos por allí.

Super lecker! Ein wenig gewöhnungsbedürftig, da es keine Karte zum auswählen gibt. Aber dafür ist das Essen echt sehr gut und lecker! Das allerbeste ist jedoch der Preis. Der ist einfach unschlagbar! Wir werden auf jeden Fall noch mehrmals in unserem Urlaub dort einkehren!

I thought this little gem is worth mentioning since we've been back here two days in a row for dinner! This homestyle restaurant is a hidden/not hidden (rated 4.5 by 150 people on Google reviews). It's tucked away in a corner in the area of the private villas away from the beach area.
The first night we dined here it was super busy and the service was minimal. The restaurant is serviced by three middle aged men who are super friendly and relaxed. Our waiter was the menu. They serve a soup of the day, a special of the day/beef/pork/fish/turkey. All of the mains come with rice and french fries. We were served bread, olives and tuna cream to start, then followed by the soup and then the main course. The food here was simple and delicious on both nights that we were here! We are contemplating on coming back tomorrow as well.
The drinks here are served in large portions, when ordering the sangria, it comes by the jug. When ordering a port tonic or gin tonic you get a full water glass of port/gin with an additional smaller bottle of tonic water. It's impressive.
I'd definitely recommend this place, keep in my that it's not asuper fancy restaurant like most of the restaurants in the area. It's much more relaxed and homestyle!

Leider keinerlei Service erhalten. Wir haben um 17:00 Uhr gut gelaunt dieses Restaurant betreten in der Annahme hier ein Menü zu erhalten. Nachdem wir 15 Minuten an einem Tisch in Außenbereich gesessen haben, fragten wir höflich nach etwas zu Essen. Die Antwort lautete, dass das Restaurant um 19:00 Uhr geschlossen werde und das obwohl diverser Tische eine Reservierungdbeschilderung hatten. Schade wir hätten uns drüber gefreut, wenn die aktiv uns angesprochen hätten und nicht dümmlich auf der Terrasse hätten warten lassen. Die Qualität des Essens können wir daher nicht bewerten. Tip an alle zukünftigen Besucher: checkt wann es hier etwas zu Essen gibt

É um bom restaurante para ir almoçar, pois têm pratos do dia com a refeição completa (pão, prato principal, bebida, sobremesa e café) a preços acessíveis (8,5 euros). Os pratos têm uma boa relação qualidade/preço e o atendimento é muito bom. Já ao jantar não é a mesma coisa, pois pedem 12 euros pelo mesmo tipo de refeição que servem ao almoço.

Não gostei da atitude do dono após o empregado nos ter passado a informação errada de que a bebida é à descrição. Devolveu o dinheiro da bebida mas sempre com um atitude pouco agradável e com ar de que tinha razão. Dose normal 12€/Menu criança 10€ quando tinha 1/4 da dose normal. Ridículo também.

Local agradável para refeição simples e económica.
Não existe muita escolha, mas iguarias bem confeccionadas. Podemos esperar refeições simples como febras grelhadas, frango assado, vaca ou peru grelhado acompanhado de batata frita, salada, arroz, ovo estrelado.
A opção de menu custa 12,50€ e inclui bebidas á descrição e a imperial bem fresca e bem tirada é sem dúvida uma das razões que me leva ao escondidinho.
O pessoal não têm formação técnica, mas são simpáticos e prestáveis.
Frequento a casa há bastante tempo e vou lá com frequência.

Muito escondido mesmo, aconselho GPS para quem vai pela primeira vez. Paga se 9€ ao almoço e 12€ ao jantar. Não existe menu, 4 pratos à escolha e tudo incluído, que vão variando todos os dias. nada de luxos, mais tipo tasca... mas come-se bem é muito confortável e descontraido com espaço exterior e barato TOP no low cost ....

Yes! Good, tasty, simple food and lots of it. Wasn't keen on the fish (battered coupons rather than a fillet) but the pork and beef were excellent. The waiting staff were very busy but very nice during both visits - even cracking jokes. Great value.

Great off the beaten track traditional portugese restuarant - essential to book earlier in the day - very popular with expats and locals - staff are brilliant with kids - meals are very good value - our kids recommend the turkey steaks !

You need to come here with a certain mindset... it's simple... no menu! But doesn't that make life easier.
You're shown to a table and asked if you want chicken... a bit of questioning and you may get fish or pork...
I got pork slices, it came with chips, rice, a fried egg, a fresh salad and wine... others got chicken or fish and it was all delicious! I mixed the yolk of my egg in with the rice. The salad had a simple salty dressing.
While we waited for our food we got bread and humous, olives etc.
A simple but in-house desert and a shot of something local but to finish... very cheap, very simple. We'll be back!
