So impressed with our stay here, beautifully maintained gardens and golf course surrounding the villas and apartments. Clean, attractive and well equipped accommodation, with pools, it's own restaurants and a poolside bar. Friendly staff

Have stayed at this gem many times. It is reasonably priced accommodation in the heart of a luxury golf resort (best kept secret in the area). Noticed that Diamond Resorts have smartened up the beautiful grounds and the additions last year of Noa cafe and Il Vero Restaurant have also brought this resort up to date where it use to be a little tired. Thoroughly recommend Noa and Il Vero even if you are not staying at Vilar do Golf.

Booked the room as we had checked out on main accommodation earlier in the day, so only had room for a few hours before flying home, got room over an hour earlier than expected which was nice and hotel allowed us to use the facilities from 10am when we arrived which a great help. When we got the apartment it was the budget end of the price scale, and it was clean and tidy but looked tired and aged but for our needs it was great, air con was very cold

Accommodation was very jaded and basic. Only cleaned twice, second time on our last day. Had to pay extra to use the pool or gym. Check out at 10am and had to pay extra to stay beyond that. Poor value for money.

Beautiful, very clean, fabulous apartment. Pool area has plenty of sun beds and brollies so plenty of shade, 3 pools all imacultely clean. The site is very clean and tidy and quiet with on site restaurant and snsckbar/coffee shop, small supermarket reasonably priced and a pool bar and snack area

Paraíso dentro del Algarve. Los apartamentos son de construcción tradicional pero no falta detalle, cómodos y acogedores. Ideal para hasta 4 personas. Invita a la paz y tranquilidad, perfecto para unos días de descanso y relax. Al tratarse de un ressort dentro de un parque natural y no tener cerca la ciudad o el pueblo, dispone de supermercado abierto de 8h a 20h para comprar todo lo se pueda necesitar. A 500 m hay una galería comercial con tiendas divinas. Fácil aparcamiento junto a los apartamentos. Dispone de Spa, piscina climatizada, gimnasio,...y un acceso muy bonito a la playa.

A very beautiful resort surrounded by a lush green Golf Course. They have villa type accommodation with a courtyard or balcony.. The resort also has indoor /outdoor pool, Kids play area, sauna, gym, jacuzzi, supermarket and a library. They have concierge services and have on-site restaurant and activities. Highly recommended for couples or families with kids..

Es uno de los mejores hoteles que he visto. Un lugar relajante, rodeado de naturaleza, pájaros y campos de golf. La casa tiene todo lo necesario, la atención es exquisita y la zona de piscina espectacular. Muy cerca del aeropuerto y con zonas para recorrer con la bici muy recomendables.

Sehr schoene Anlage inmitten eines Golfplatzes. In den Premium-Apartments der uebliche gute Standard der Diamond Resorts. Hochwertige Vollausstattung, gute Matratzen. Gut schallisoliert. Kaum Geraeusche aus benachbarten Einheiten zu vernehmen. Mietwagen empfehlenswert.

Heel mooi, rustig en groen gebied. Uitermate geschikt voor golfers en personen die op zoek zijn nnar rust. Dit complex biedt allerlei faciliteiten en sportmogelijkheden. Je kunt naast golven ook, zwemmen, fitnessen em fiesten(huren). Het ligt wel op 30min vam Faro en 15 minuten van Almencil.

Great resort, in a fantastic area, but pick your time of year carefully. Some facilities are not open all year round.
Restaurants in the immediate vicinity are quite expensive, a hire car is highly recommended.

Un hôtel que nous connaissons bien, des maisons confortables, une piscine exceptionnelle, un accueil correcte , un personnel sympa mais un changement de direction qui a fait flamber les prix café expresso, petit déjeuner, les prix ont augmenté considérablement. Ex pour le café presque le double 2€ , prix pratiqué aux alentours entre 0.70 et 1€ . Des prix en flèche pour les mêmes prestations. Ce que nous aurions pu dépenser à l'hôtel nous l'avons fait ailleurs, dommage mais dans l'ensemble très satisfaisant .

Perfectly handled environment with green grass and clean streets. Helpful staff. Four stars because some rooms were dirty with a worn out sofa and marks of feet on the floor since we arrived. Minimarket with fair prices. Beautiful swimming pool surrounded by the garden.

Nice place accommodations were good. You have to pay for everything including the safe in the room (per day) and towel cleaning (they give you 1 pool towel for the whole stay and they charge to get a new one), among other services. In addition they only have a shuttle to the beach 4 times a day every 3 hours and the beach is 6 km away... The area is beautiful and people are great so I will give them that but I don't really think this fits the "diamond resort" standard. Slightly overstated I think.

Fiz uma reserva com booking efectivamente sem anulacao gratuita porque tinha a certeza de poder ir passar 3 dias à Quinta do Lago. Vivo no estrangeiro e por motivos pessoais tenho de voltar mais cedo do que previsto ao trabalho. A reserva foi feita no dia 24 de julho e o pedido de anulacao no dia seguinte .Apos contactar o hotel contactei booking que me disse que por eles a anulacao era aceite mas o hotel nao aceita anular gratuitamente mesmo se booking abdica da comicao .Estou disposta a pagar uma parte do valor da estadia porque a totalidade sinceramente e um abuso .Nao houve qualquer esforco da parte do hôtel para com o cliente, nenhum gesto comercial. E verdade que aceitei as condicoes da reserva, fiz um erro , quem nao os faz!A minha indignacao e em relacao à direcao deste hôtel que nao faz qualquer esforco para resolver a situacao. Ainda para mais enviam me e mails em ingles ? !!Sera que ninguem sabe escrever em portugues ? !
Se alguem estiver interessado a passar 3 noites num apartamento do 13 ao 16 de Agosto eu vendo a reservacao com desconto porque de qualquer maneira paguei um apartamento que sera vazio!

La casa estaba muy bien, con todo lo necesario. Las instalaciones muy bien también. La zona de las piscinas de lo mejor. Los restaurantes muy bien aunque quizás algo lentos en atender. Todo el personal del complejo muy amable y atento, siempre con una sonrisa. Por ponerle un pero el supermercado del complejo demasiado caro. Los alrededores perfectos para disfrutar tanto en el lago como en la playa.

We had a really enjoyable 5-night stay at Vilar do Golf. Our villa was clean, comfortable and spacious. We were disappointed that the resort charged guests €10 each, per day to use their indoor swimming pool. We stayed in early March and the outdoor pool is not heated, so we were looking forward to using the heated indoor pool. If we did use it for the 5 days we stayed it would've cost us an extra €100. Suffice to say, we did not use the pool and that is why it was a 4-star rating and not a 5-star rating.

We really enjoyed our premium 2BR apartment. It had everything we needed and a lot of thoughtful touches and amenities to make in-home meals a breeze. Other plusses: comfortable bed and sheets, towel heater, bathroom heater (for those cold mornings), safe box, regular cleaning schedule. There was nothing we didn't like.

Visited off peak time and enjoyed every bit. Great check in, this time we walked to our villa but I understand if it was during the day there are free rides available if needed. Free bus service to and from the beach available. Eco friendly... To name a few recyclabled paper towels and tissue.. Safe to drink water

Really enjoyed my 2 nights here in Dec. 2019. Lovely apartment. Lots of room. Good wifi, friendly and helpful staff. Arrived late on the first night, went to the Italian Restaurant and bar but kitchen was closed, however I stayed for a drink and the manager brought me out some left over staff pizza as they knew I was hungry. It is little things like this that you remember. Well done & Thank you!!

Algumas unidades estao desactualizadas em ter.os de mobiliario, outras tiveram remodelacoes recentemente.
Nao gostei de terem cobrado pela utilização da piscina , quando no booking nada indica sobre essa cobrança.

Es handelt sich um eine sehr schöne Unterkunft, eingebettet in eine hügelige Landschaft in einem Pinienwald. Die versetzt angeordneten Reihenhäuser bieten Terrassen mit Gartenmöbeln, Liegen, Ausblick ins Grüne und entsprechend Privatsphäre.Die Ausstattung ist sehr komfortabel und vollständig für einen angenehmen Urlaub; dabei ist gerade in der Küche (z.B. Tablett, Kaffee fürs erste Frühstück, Waschtrockner, Mülltrennung, ...) oder in den Bädern (z.B. Spiegelbeleuchtung, Pflegeprodukte, Handtuchheizkörper, ...) das ein oder andere Extra zu finden, so dass keine Wünsche offen bleiben.Es handelt sich nach unserer Meinung um eine sehr gut geführte Resortanlage; zwar standardisiert ohne einen persönlichen Charakter, wofür man ansonsten eben ein komfortables privates Ferienhaus wählt.

Städning skedde oregelbundet och man missade att byta handdukar/lämna ut handdukar till alla boenden. Mycket märkligt och småaktigt att ta betalt för att bada i inomhuspoolen (10 Eur per dag/rum) och man vill hyra en badhandduk kostar det 1 Eur per dag extra. Lite Ryanair-varning och rimmar lite illa med den för övrigt fint polerade och snofsiga fasaden.

Middle of the road experience. Previously stayed at this location in refurbished apartment which was excellent. This time was in old apartment which was very tired and in need of refurbishment. New restaurant left a lot to be desired as now Italian food focussed unlike Bobby Jones which offered both relaxed and formal dining. Tried the Rib Eye which was of very poor quality and not like Aberdeen Angusa steak you would get in

We booked a Premium Villa and were given a standard Villa (old & smelly), without telling us. When we complained, they pretend they didn't know what was going on and didn't provide a solution or even suggested to refund us the price difference.
We decided to book another hotel and didn't end up staying there. Really bad customer service, showing no consideration for the clients.

The first property we were allocated was very dated and certainly not a 4* standard. After raising the problem with Expedia and Reception we were relocated very quickly to a far superior property. After this initial issue we had a fantastic holiday and all aspects of the resort were excellent.

Prachtige locatie. Heel mooi golfterrein. Veel kinderanimatie is hier ook. De bar en restaurants zijn zeer verzorgd en heel vriendelijke bediening. De huisjes zijn perfect in orde ordelijk en proper en naar mijn zin mooi ingericht. Men heeft een busdienst naar de zee maar als je wil wandelen is het rond de 35min. Het domein zelf is de moeite waard. Het zwembad is gewoon maar wel proper en tof ingericht. Voorts kom het een bezien en u ziet dat mijn woorden juist zijn.

Achei muito bem inserido na natureza com jardins bem cuidados. Fui em Maio e estava com pouca ocupação. As instalações são excelentes. Não há limpeza diária da casa e achei isso uma vantagem, têm o horário de limpeza nas informações da casa. Os campos de golfe, que foi a primeira vez que passei por um, não impedem as caminhadas e estão impecáveis.

We've stayed here 4 times now. Warm welcome and really friendly staff at all levels. Villas are furnished and maintained to am exceptionally high standard.
Set in the national park 5 mins from the coast and surrounded by trees, obstensibly a golf resort but we've found it to be a quiet and quality base, away from the crowds from which we can explore the Algarve and just 20 mins drive from the airport at Faro it's ideally located to maximise vacation time.

Good accommodation and beautiful grounds. Good pool and pool area. Useful on site shop. Resort somewhat isolated though, so a hired car would have been very useful. However, expect to pay quite a bit above what you could arrange yourself if you book anything through reception e.g. a taxi to Faro was 30 Euros, but only 20 for a cab from a town centre taxi rank

Beautiful scenery. Exquisite landscaping. De luxe accommodation, well serviced. Lovely reception staff. Paradise for golfers and children. Car essential for journeying outside but there is a good programme of visits and activities available

Das Hotel ist innerhalb kurzer Zeit vom Flughafen Faro aus erreichbar. Die Villa ist perfekt ausgestattet und liegt in idealer Nähe auch zu den Golfplätzen Pinheiros Altos und Laranjal . Obwohl es sich insgesamt um eine größere Anlage handelt, ist Privatsphäre gewährleistet. Ein gut ausgestatteter supermercado ist ebenfalls vorhanden und auch in der Nebensaison nahezu immer geöffnet.

Quase tudo bom, o ambiente, a calmaria, natureza, no entanto as camas não são boas, não são aquelas camas de hotel que nos fazem querer voltar. Ao final de três noites, será necessário um bom Osteopata para colocar a cervical no lugar. Limpeza razoável, simpatia na receção, tem dias. Algumas vezes parece que alguém fugiu sem pagar! Outro reparo é para o facto de que num resort deste tipo o Wifi ainda ser pago. Isso Srs, já não existe.

We loved our time here! It was just out of season (before the Easter holidays) so not too many people and the staff were all very helpful. Only drawback was that the resort is very hilly so at 6 months' pregnant I struggled with the walk back from the pool and our patio lost the sun at 2pm. I would definitely go back though :)

Garden and landscape are very well worked, but it's as well some noise from the old engines of the Gardners (no automatic electrical lawnmower for example)

Villas are well equiped
You have to pay for extra like:
- towel on swimming pool (or you can use your own)
- indoor swimming pool (I've seen nobody there)
- fitness
- WiFi 4 €/day
A small supermarket is in the site but you can find a bigger one to Almancil (Apologia) at 5 min.
Excepted the golf, you need a car for everything (beach, restaurants, market, excursions)
Breakfast is only from 9am near reception.. Everybody takes the breakfast at home

Este Vilar do Golf está bem localizado na Quinta do Lago, tempão estrutura para a prática de Golf, mas está muito mal no que respeita a serviços de apoio à hotelaria, exceção feita para a piscina e bar da piscina.

Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig gelegen (Achtung: Es gibt immer ein Appartment im EG und eines im OG. Da die Gebäude sehr hellhörig sind, sind Schritte etc. im oberen Appartment unten ziemlich laut zu hören). Die Appartments sind sauber und beinhalten erst einmal alles, was man braucht. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und bietet unterschiedlichste Möglichkeiten zum Zeitvertreib. Leider war das Housekeeping nicht sehr überzeugend. So wird z.B. Duschgel angeboten, aber nicht nachgefüllt, bestellte Extra-Decken wurden wieder weggeräumt oder bei Problemen mit Geruch aus dem Kamin war ab 18 Uhr niemand mehr erreichbar.

Das Hotel liegt ca. 3 km vom schönen und ruhigen Sandstrand entfernt den man am besten mit dem Rad oder dem kostenlosen Shuttel erreichen kann.Die Anlage war sehr groß und gepflegt der nachteil dabei ist das man die Pflegearbeiten auch manchmal hört zb Rasenmäher.Wir hatten ein Bungalow für 2 Personen und 53.- Euro die Nacht. Klar das man da nicht die Luxusversion erhält. Die Zimmer waren aber ziemlich staubig , die Jalousien eklig , die Couch alt und fleckig. Wenigstens waren Küche, Bad und Bett in Ordnung deshal,b war es für 4 Nächte noch ok .Der kleine Garten war auch schön zb für zu Frühstücken , nur auch da waren die Möbel ( Liegen) nicht wirklich einladend. Das Personal war sehr freundlich wie alle Portugiesen die ich kennen gelernt habe. Wer was vom land sehen möchte braucht unbedingt nen Mietwagen denn ausser Golfplätze und Strand gibt es im Umfeld nicht viel. Der Flughafen ist ca 20min . Entfernt und kostet mit dem Taxi ca. 25-35 Euro

El hotel se encuentra muy bien situado respecto a la playa e instalaciones deportivas para la práctica del golf. Es un lugar encantador e ideal para descansar.

Waren eine Woche im Januar zum golfen dort.Tolles Appartement mit gutem Preis/LeistungsvehältnisLeichte Abzüge in der Hotelausstattung, da im Januar einfach einiges geschlossen hat

Ein Super Ressort, wenn man es dann gefunden hat. Vilar Do Golfe oder Golf Quinta Do Lago Sud wäre das GPS... Diamond sowieso steht nirgends...Der Strand ist einmalig. Ich werde wieder dorthin gehen.Auch als Einzel Reisende habe ich mich total wohl uns sicher gefühlt.

Wir hatten am Ende unseres Urlaubs eine Nacht zu überbrücken und haben hierfür das Vilar do Golf gewählt.
Wir waren begeistert über die Ausstattung des 2-Schlafzimmer-Reihenhauses. Selten haben wir in so komfortablen Betten geschlafen. Auch die Kücheneinrichtung war wirklich komfortabel; es war alles da und es wurden sogar Milch, Kaffee, Tee und Gewürze vom Hotel bereitgestellt.
Von der Ankunft bis zum Auschecken (leider mussten wir morgens schon um 6 Uhr zum Flughafen aufbrechen) war der Service an der Rezeption sehr nett. Andere Teile der großzügigen Anlage konnten wir leider in der kurzen Zeit nicht nutzen.
Wir kommen wieder und dann bestimmt für länger, um den Rest auch noch genauer unter die Lupe zu nehmen.
Vielen Dank für den Luxus, den wir am Ende unseres Urlaubs genießen durften.

Wir waren für eine Nacht dort, um den Zeitraum bis zum Heimflug zu überbrücken. Im nachhinein waren wir so begeistert, daß wir dort gerne deutlich mehr Zeit verbracht hätten!Die Aussstattung der Küche und die bereitgestellten Basis-Lebensmittel wie Milch, Kaffee, Gewürze etc. war sensationell!Immer wieder gerne!

Hummm... I have mixed feelings about this place.
Villas are well equipped and comfortable, great attention is dedicated to landscaping and staff is correct.
However, everything is extra, one keeps reaching for the wallet.
Sauna, jacuzzi, indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, pool towels and sunbeds, kids club...
Then there's this silly check in and out time: can't check in before 4 PM and must check out before 10 AM.
Imagine flying in and arriving at noon. 4 hours of waiting in the heat. Or having a flight late in the afternoon and having to clear the villa before 10AM
So, I wouldn't go back. There are better, cheaper, more caring places in the area
