Brilliant find. Excellent choice, quality & choice of food. Friendly host - very welcoming. Made a change from the run of the mill restaurants for tourists. Will certainly return.

It is well worth seeking out this fine family run restaurant. Excellent food and wines beautifully presented. Expect to pay a little more than the more touristy places but we'll worth it.

Ein schönes kleines Restaurant! Wenn man in der Nähe ist, sollte man dort auf jeden Fall einkehren. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und der Besitzer ein sehr netter Gesprächspartner. Das Essen ist traumhaft. Man sollte sich aber ein wenig Zeit mitbringen, bei leckeren Vorspeise und dem Hauptgericht vergeht die Zeit sehr schnell. Auch die Parkplatz suche benötigt ein wenig Zeit, das Restaurant hat keinen eigenen Parkplatz und die kleine Gasse bietet wenig Möglichkeiten. Wenn wir mal wieder in der Nähe sind, gehen wir auf jeden Fall wieder hin.

Ambiente muito agradavel, atendimento 5 estrelas, comida muito boa (lombinho de porco "arco") e gelado caseiro... comer e chorar por mais. É repetir sem duvida.

Lovely food and nice relaxed atmosphere, a bit pricey but worth it. Didn't give it 5 stars as service was a little slow.

We have been continually visiting this restaurant for almost 30 yrs. The food is of a very high standard with many favourites being on the menu throughout. The service provided by the proprietor Joao is highly personalized. With no stone left unturned. Joao is also extremely knowledgeable about wines . I would highly recommend a visit.

Met by Harry on Saturday, who promised we would have a fabulous meal. Not ready for a big meal so went back Sunday, Harry recommended the meat platter for two. It was delicious everything he promised.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed an awesome evening here tonight. The service was incredibly welcoming, explaining the menu and the experience was very personal. Food wise, the meals were excellent, absolutely delicious fish. We have allergies, main dairy, and the owner/chef took pleasure in providing for us and personalized his offering accordingly. Dessert was also great, having his special, also made dairy free. Overall a great and enjoyable evening and experience and I look forward to returning.

We went to O Arco completely accidentally, in search of a simple dinner on a Wednesday night. Honestly Joan and staff served us one of the best and most relaxing meals we have ever eaten. 5 stars is almost an insult. Would give them 6 if I could. Beautiful!

Zalig gegeten. Je komt hier niet zomaar ivm de locatie. Maar het is een heel fijn klein restaurantje. Met een hele aardige eigenaar die alles erg goed in de gaten hield. Wij hebben de portugese steak en de zalm gegeten. Een aanrader voor iedereen.

Restaurante apartado de las zonas turísticas pero tanto la comida como la atención del dueño espectacular. Dejaros aconsejar por el dueño sobre maridaje pues nos recomendó un blanco espectacular. También los vinos pueden ser por copas en vez de botella. No os dejéis guiar por las apariencias. Relación calidad precio buena. Un primero para compartir, dos pescados, 1 postre y 3 copas de vino(abrió la botella para nosotros) 48,00 euros.

Muito bom. Fazer aqui uma refeição é uma imersão num nível de serviço que poucos restaurantes proporcionam. Vale a pena ir à descoberta deste local numa rua afastada da confusão. A comida é de uma confecção e apresentação muito elegante. O atendimento e ambiente são fabulosos, foi um prazer partilhar um pouco da vida com o Sr. João.

Amazing chef(the owner of the restaurant) who has 36 years of experience running the restaurant. Food was just wow. We are a Korean family and this was our first time to try protugese food and it was a good choice to visit O Arco restaurant. Homemade patè with variety of bread was given to start with. We ordered fish soup and grilled prawn as a starter and it was just fantastic. My daughter had a small version of fish fillet with steamed veges with potatoes. Kids menu is not on the menu but he made a smaller portion for my 5 year old daughter. It was a very healthy dish at the same time delicious! This was another personal touch from the restaurant. Excellent service 10 out 10. Attention to details such as removing all the breadcrumbs on the table using the tool (such a long time havent seen this tool ) after the meal. Juao was such a nice owner who knows how to satisfy customers. I recommend to try his own recipe dish such as Kubbert fillet with almond sauce on top. My husband ordered beef fillet portugese style with potatoes and the sauce was just remarkable. Definately willing to come back to this restaurant for sure!!!!Thank u for giving us this chance to experience brilliant dish of Portugal!!

Trevlig atmosfär och fantastisk mat

A bit pricey but the owner has a wealth of knowledge about local food and wine and only cooks great seasonal ingredients. The prawns piri piri were to die for, fish was fresh and tasty, wine was delicious (both red and white), goats cheese salad and house steaks were also good. Did not enjoy so much the béchamel squid starter but it was the only thing a little bit off

Absolutly can not confirm esrlier good opinions the food was not special tasty. I had feeling it was defrostet not fresh like the fish in portugese restaurants used to be -prawns and fish as well. There was no wine cart so at the end you are suprised by the bill. And waiting time for everything- food, bill...
