The food here is amazing, you must eat here. I ordered the beef tenderloin with pepper sauce and it was amazing. The server didn’t speak the best English but it was still great service.

Péssimo atendimento, atendente mal educada, comportamento de uma pessoa que não deveria trabalhar em um restaurante bem avaliado em Óbidos. Se o local é somente com reservas, coloquem um aviso na entrada para evitar constrangimentos. Entramos e sentamos à mesa pois uma das pessoas que nos receberam disse que havia lugar. Uma outra atendente veio e disse que somente com reservas, depois ela foi em outro ambiente e começou a discutir com o outro garçom, muito mal educada. Levantamos e fomos embora, pois com tamanha grosseria não dava para comer neste ambiente. Cuspir em nosso prato, pela educação que ela tem, seria o mínimo.

Hacía tiempo que no comía en un lugar tan agradable. La comida es espectacular, muy buena relación calidad precio. Es uno de los mejores lugares para comer en Óvidos. Además el camarero era muy amable.

Como el nombre indica, pretencioso en los platos y baja calidad de las materias primas, atención al cliente. Sentados al lado de la cocina, los cocineros nos deleitaron con sus gritos y enfados entre ellos toda la cena. No recomendable.

Não tenho duvidas de que a comida deve ser boa, porém esta avaliação se direciona única e exclusivamente ao tratamento e grosseria pela qual passamos. Perguntamos se havia mesa para 2 pessoas e um bebê, o garçom disse que sim, entramos, sentamos. Então, veio uma senhora que trabalhava no restaurante e foi bem indelicada conosco e com um outro casal que entrou e se sentou em outra mesa, disse que só atendem com reserva. A.tal senhora foi para dentro e iniciou uma discussão em alto tom de voz com o garçom que disse que poderíamos entrar. Nos sentimos muito constrangidos com tal situação e resolvemos nos retirar pois mesmo que fosse a.melhor comida do mundo, diante de tanta falta de educação teria gosto de ranço. Tudo poderia ser evitado se houvesse uma sinalização de que só trabalham com reserva ou se assim nos tivessem informado. Uma pena!

Excellent food, no doubt the best restaurant we ate at our stay in Portugal. And the price is really reasonable, Would recommend the Duck with the Orange sauce with a very tasty sangaria on the side.

Efectivamente es un restaurante pretencioso, tiene pocos platos y algo caros, pero están buenos. En el patio puedes comer entre naranjos con el canto de los pájaros que tienen enjaulado allí.

Um restaurante discreto por fora, mas bonito por dentro. O pequeno jardim com o limoeiro é muito bonito para comer, com sombra. Ao lado de nós, rodearam-nos gatinhos que pareciam pertencer ali. Os preços são o habitual para um local turístico.

The garden under a lemon tree is beautiful. The food is very good, with big portions, home made taste and the serving worth an Instagram picture.

We enjoyed a satisfying home cooked meal in a pleasant setting. The fish soup was flavored with a bit of curry, very thick and with lots of fish. The vegetable soup was comfort food, also a tasty broth with lots of veggies. The fish in almond crust was cooked to a perfect temperature. The beef tenderloin was a huge portion, also cooked to a perfect rare, presented with Obidos cherries, mashed potatoes, zucchini stuffed with spinach, and green beans. (Yep, a lot on the plate!). The bread had a nice crust with a soft center. A nice touch was little tables for your belongings or wine and water bottles. All in all a nice meal.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre dîner au Pretensioso. Le service était agréable et rapide (sans doute par le patron lui-même car nous étions hors saison et nous ne fûmes que 6 personnes à dîner de toute la soirée) la qualité des mets était excellente et le rapport qualité-prix tout à fait acceptable. Pour une ville touristique, ce restaurant fut une bonne surprise.

This is an exceptional find, great service, great food and a beautiful setting. We ate lunch in the sun under the lime tree. The steak was quite simply, divine. You must eat here!

Wir haben hier zu Abend gegessen. Ein wunderbarer Abend in einem gemütlichen Restaurant. Als Vorspeise einen lokalen Käse, der wunderbar würzig uns sehr weich war. Als Hauptspeise hatten wir eine gebratene Ente und ein Steak mit Kirschsoße. Sehr lecker und gute Portionen. Dazu einen guten Rotwein aus der Gegend. Als Nachtisch einen Kokospudding. Insgesamt alles sehr lecker.

While a bit pricier than your average Portuguese restaurant the orange tree shaded outdoor dining is fantastic. The food is top notch and the wait staff relatively attentive. A great little date spot that is quiet and off the main Street.
