Brilliant typical Portuguese restaurant. Food excellent as is the staff. Very attentive and friendly. Have been twice during our stay and will definitely go again. Couldn’t find this restaurant to do a review on TripAdvisor, so have done this one only, mind you, don’t tell everyone or we won’t get a seat next time we go there. It’s our secret

Really interesting little restaurant. Food is abundant and cheap. At lunch time, I don't know if they do it in the evening, they have a special which involves covering the table with an array of dishes followed by desert all for 10 euros each with wine and coffee. The dishes allow you to sample a selection of typical recipes from all over Portugal. In addition everybody who works here is incredibly friendly. The only problem is that it is not a large restaurant so I imagine that it fills up easily specially in the summer months.

One of the most unique tradional Portuguese restaurants. Not many tables., get there early. You will share if busy. Best chicken /frango in town. Nice salad and chips. Or take a dish of the day or menu.. Love it here x

Salat knackig frisch, Chicken senstionell gegrillt, Oliven mit leckerem Brot, Sagres...süffig und zum Abschluss einen Bica. Atmosphäre familiär und herzlich.
Wer authentisch portugiesisch essen gehen möchte.....hier ist man am richtigen Ort.

Um sítio muito simples e sem luxos mas, o ambiente é familiar e o atendimento é muito bom, comemos grelhados e são muito bons, o vinho tinto da casa tb aconselho. O valor é justo. Recomendo e vamos voltar

Il miglior pollo dell'Algarve! La salsa piri piri è fatta in casa dalla proprietaria con una ricetta segreta tramandata da generazioni. Un ristorante rustico, senza pretese, ma dove mangi cucina genuina al prezzi bassissimi, come entrare in cucina di una classica famiglia portoghese. Sfido chiunque a mangiare meglio spendendo meno di così! Imperdibile...

Absolut zu empfehlen. Der erste Eindruck mit den bunten Plastiktischdecken schreckt ein bisschen ab. Sobald das Essen auf dem Tisch steht, vergisst man das sehr schnell. Wir sind durch Zufall auf das Lokal gestoßen und es wurde wirklich zum Lieblingslokal. Preis - Leistung absolut top

Costumo encomendar comida no Frango da Cidade e é sempre muito boa. Comida tipica portuguesa caseira.. a Feijoada à Transmontana é deliciosa. Recomendo

Freundlicher Service vom Chef und allen Mitarbeitern. Das Essen war reichhaltig und sehr gut. Portugiesische Küche. Das Menü bestand aus Salat, Fisch mit Süßkartoffeln, Fisch und Muscheln mit Reis, Hühnchen mit Pilzen... Kaffee, Kuchen und Wein / Bier etc. = 10€ Fantastisch!

Ne pas hésiter. C'est gargantuesque. Menu du jour 10€ avec 8 plats apéro vin eau desserts digestif café compris. Accueil super sympa. Serveur adorable. Repas très très bon. Merci à toute l'équipe.

Fantastisch, hier gehen auch die Einheimischen hin. Sehr heimelige Atmosphäre. Holzkohlengrill mittendrin, freundliche Bedienung (beim 2. Besuch mit Handschlag), super Grillgerichte, nicht zu schaffendes Tagesmenü (ab 2 Personen). Gute (Rock/Pop) Musik. Alles super.

Very good typical portugese food. We had a menu with different dishes (chicken, prawns, pork, fishes, ..) plus wine, desserts, coffee and grappa. All of this for 10€/pers ! And the waiter was very nice (and spoke english)

Trattoria che si trova nel centro di Olhao, trovato quasi per caso. Ha molti pochi posti a sedere ma proprio perché è un posto molto tipico, locale. La cameriera (gentilissima e simpaticissima) ci ha proposto la sogliola fritta e tapas: porzioni abbondanti, il cibo era buono e prezzo irrisorio (21€ in due, incluse Bibite e sette tapas molto abbondanti). Consigliato, se non volete un ristorante chic ed elegante.

Si vous cherchez un restaurant familial, chaleureux, jovial et avec le meilleur rapport qualité/prix, n'hesitez-pas quite à faire un détour, vous ne serez pas déçu.
On vous accueille comme à la maison, on vous dit que dans le menu, il y a tout, que 5 minutes après, votre table est remplie de mets différents et qu'au moment de payer, on vous demande 10 euros par personne, couverts, pain, olives, vin, desserts et café compris, franchement, ça vaut le déplacement !!

Bem a minha experiência foi única uma noite não consegui encontrar nenhum restaurante que tivesse mesas vagas e depois de procurar e acabar por ir ao pingo doce comprei algo para mim e a minha mulher e o meu filho queria batatas fritas então perguntei a uma empregada se podia me vender uma porção de batatas para ele e ela falou com o que eu penso era o patrão e eu ofereci pagar o que ele quisesse pois era para o meu filho e apesar de ser takeaway também o senhor que deve estar rico recusou eu estava de férias em olhão que é a minha nação onde estava alojado BJB alojamentos o dono Miguel recomendou este estabelecimento eu todos os dias ia comer fora almoço e jantar poderia ter tido mais um cliente mas de certeza que não precisa do meu dinheiro assim como eu não preciso dele porque com o meu dinheiro eu vou a qualquer lado só lhe desejo boa sorte e que o inverno não seja muito morto para o negócio aí talvez ele pense nos casos como o meu.

This is one of the most popular little restaurants in Olhao. It is difficult to get a table. If you see one vacant grab it. They're renowned for the grilled chicken but also have an excellent range of traditional Portuguese dishes on offer.

Gutes, portugiesisches Essen nach Tagesangebot zu kleinen Preisen. Hatte ein halbes Hähnchen, welches mit Couvert, Salat und auf Wunsch mit Kartoffeln (und etwas Weißkohl) kredenzt wurde. Geschmacklich war es gut, leider war der Pfeffer ausgegangen. Zum Glück konnte ich mit Piri-Piri nachwürzen. Der Kellner war sehr nett, auch wenn er nicht alles verstanden hatte...gerne wieder, da quasi fast vor der Haustür.

Inmejorable!!!! Calidad impecable y un servicio atentísimo. Ambiente relajado y una gran atención/cercanía por parte de todo el personal. Platos deliciosos, desde el frango grelhado, a la cataplana de marisco... esta última, para quitarse el sombrero. Muy buena experiencia y seguro que volveré

Trobat per casualitat, tot passant per devant. Un lloc petit, familiar, de magnífic tracte i bon menjar. A mes el preu acompanya, Dinar una parella, cataplana, postre, vi... tot menys de 40€. Bona recomanació, al meu entendre. Compte! Taules potser compartides amb personal local, com a casa!!!!

What a great experience. The restaurant looks nothing from the outside but the value and food are superb. Ten authentic Portuguese courses, salad, chicken dishes, several fish dishes, fries, rabbit, seafood dish, bowl of olives, bread, can of coke, and two glasses of wine all for 10 Euros per person. You can't beat that!

Le Portugal authentique avec le mélange de nationalités. N'oublions pas que nous sommes en Algarve. Les patrons sont très sympathiques et on y mange très bien. Notre "cantine du soir"

Chceliśmy zjeść jakieś dobre lokalne jedzenie w fajnej knajpce. Udało się. Dobra ryba Dorada i owoce morza. Bardzo miła obsługa, która średnio umie mówić po angielsku i ciężko się dogadać, ale jakoś daliśmy radę. Przytulne, trochę ciasne miejsce. ;) Polecam dla pewności zarezerwować sobie stolik.

Bardzo fajna knajpa. Miejsce jest autentyczne, kuchnia lokalna, sprawia wrażenie domowej. Zamówiliśmy cataplanę, czyli różności morskie w pysznym sosie. Wesoła obsługa - w pewnym momencie kucharka wyszła z kuchni i zaczęła tańczyć, kelnerka zachęcała do tego samego gości, wykrzukując coś radośnie po portugalsku. Muzyka, wino, dobre jedzenie. Polecam.

Pratos diários que alteram diariamente.
Para quem pretende comer muito bem a preço acessível a qualquer carteira é o sitio ideal.
Dica: prove o frango assado na brasa com molho feito na casa. Se gosta de cozido à portuguesa arrisque pois é excepcional.
Os pratos do dia, com produtos comprados frescos, é uma boa opção quando não há idéias para o almoço/jantar.

Super bon restaurant à la bonne franquette avec des grillades de viande et de poissons à prix très attractif. Personnel au petit soin. Plat, dessert et vin pour deux personnes, au total la note était de 17,50€. N'hésitez pas!

We, a family of three, have eaten here for three nights in a row. The first night we were hooked by delicious grilled chicken with salad and fresh fries, and a chicken and bacon skewers. We couldn't finish the portions, and it was 24 euros total with drinks included. We immediately booked a table for the second night, and were informed they could also prepare typical Algarve dishes, like Xarém or Cataplana. Don't trust them when they say a portion is for two - it's actually for three or more :D The last night we enjoyed grilled sardines, and were sorry we had to go back home.

We have been in Olhao for holidays for 7 days. We just found the restaurant in the last 3 days. But from that day, we just went here for lunch and dinner. It is a small family restaurant. They are very friendly. Thex have some small menu, but usually it is recommended to try the fish or chicken (As sides: French fries). It is so tasty. And you should try the house wine. Very good. The dessert is tasty, too. We ate with 2 person: Some olives or snacks as starters. Then the maincourse with wine and after a coffe and dessert (Pudding, Fruits, Cake,...). We spend for all that ~20€ für both persons. It is the perfect place!
